Chris Brown Fans React To His Feature On “FTCU (Sleeze Mix)” With Nicki Minaj, Travis Scott & Sexyy Red

Nicki Minaj’s “FTCU (Sleeze Mix),” produced by ATL Jacob and Southside, has a lot of dynamism to it. There’s a patient and cold performance from Red Ruby, a wavy and versatile showing from Travis Scott, and a confidently aloof appearance from Sexyy Red. However, a lot of folks on social media think that the best part of this new remix was Chris Brown’s lewd and luxurious rap verse, especially existing fans of Breezy. But a lot of folks also expressed surprise at the belief that he out-rapped the other MCs on this cut, and while that’s obviously up for debate, it was a nice move from him considering his typically R&B and pop-centric appeal.

Of course, plenty of fans were quick to point out that the Virginia native has always made rap music, and has often showed off his skills in the art form. In fact, he was just recently in some rap beef with Quavo, so he continues to check all the hip-hop boxes. Nevertheless, Chris Brown definitely had some standout bars here worthy of stacking up with established writers like Nicki Minaj. Through plenty of charisma and a flow switch, he also fits in really well with Travis Scott and Sexyy Red’s contributions.

After all, he recently dropped the deluxe version of his album 11:11, which contains a lot of tracks and some highlights for fans who haven’t been able to get enough of it for the past week. As such, Chris Brown is probably having a pretty good time right now, and has a lot of momentum to keep up with what might be a big 2024 for him. Chris Brown Disses Quavo On New Song, Plus Another Target

Chris Brown and Quavo’s beef traces back about seven years, yet it seems no closer to a point of resolution. Not only that, but it looks like we’re getting this feud manifested on wax for the first time in their turbulent history together. Moreover, Breezy sent some shots the rapper’s way on “Freak,” a cut off of his latest full-length release, the deluxe version of his album 11:11. “F***ing my old b***hes ain’t gon’ make us equal,” he raps on the cut, referring to Huncho’s fling with Brown’s ex Karrueche Tran, which started their whole spat. “Sipping that 1942 cause I don’t do no Cuervo (Quavo) / Freak b***h, she like Casamigos, not the Migos.”

Furthermore, as opposed to previous escalations, this also makes it very clear that Chris Brown’s animosity extends to the Migos as a whole. Before this, things were very much one-on-one with Quavo, or two-on-two if you count the R&B star’s basketball challenge to the Georgia native back in 2021. But now, fans have to consider Offset as part of the equation, and many of them won’t be happy about putting dirt on Takeoff’s legacy as a group member. While none of this is a direct statement from Brown, these implications draw a deeper line in the sand.

Chris Brown’s Quavo Diss: Listen

Nevertheless, we wonder if Quavo will respond to Chris Brown on wax or if their beef will remain on a personal social media level for the most part. In fact, he had previously seemed to respond to online debates about who is more relevant between them. Of course, the “Motorcycle Patches” MC implied that he’s “the biggest,” which prompted even more heated back-and-forths between fans. But they’re both confident in their abilities to best the other.

Meanwhile, what do you think about this reignited tension between these artists in 2024? Do you think that there’s a “winner” in this beef or are these just two artists that need to work out the issues between them with a sit-down? Whatever the case, let us know your thoughts down in the comments section below. For more news and the latest updates on Chris Brown and Quavo, come back to HNHH.

NLE Choppa Sings Chris Brown Track, Much To The Internet’s Amusement

NLE Choppa, like many folks out there, is a big Chris Brown fan, and he makes that admiration pretty clear online and in public outings, such as when they played basketball together. However, his most recent example of Breezy fandom has some fans in tears, others with genuine admiration, and a few who think he shouldn’t try too hard. Moreover, the Cottonwood 2 rapper sang the R&B star’s track “Under The Influence” in a new social media video. We have to give him props: he gives it his all and stays (mostly) on key. Plenty of folks have that MC/singer duality, but it’s even more exciting to see it develop from someone you didn’t expect in that lane.

Furthermore, this also happened to 21 S*vage, who’s made a name for himself for trying to show off his pipes. Whether it’s on social media or at an Usher concert, NLE Choppa certainly has steep competition in this regard. Many folks in the comments section of The Neighborhood Talk‘s coverage of this Chris Brown cover demanded a collaboration between the two. Furthermore, maybe they can make a mixtape of sorts with other rappers who you’d never expect to sing some soulful jams on wax.

Jokes aside, though, the Memphis hitmaker is still quite proficient in his own lane. Perhaps he needs just a little bit more practice before he can hope to reach Chris Brown levels of vocal dexterity, at least in melodic and technical terms. But recent singles and collabs like the 21-year-old’s “Ice” with producers Aarne and Imanbek show that he’s still got that fire in him. Still, maybe this is just the start of a new phase in his career, or it’s just a fan being a fan.

Meanwhile, Chris Brown just released a new album 11:11, and it looks like it’ll perform pretty well on the charts. More importantly, though, it gave die-hard fans another collection of melodically engaging cuts with sultry production. Hopefully this isn’t the last C.B. cover that rappers bring us. For more news and the latest updates on NLE Choppa, stay up to date on HNHH.

Tinashe Continues Chris Brown Beef By Liking Tweet Suggesting He’s “Butthurt”

Tinashe and Chris Brown’s mounting beef just got a subtle, harmless, but nonetheless spicy escalation. For those unaware, the two sparked conflict when the former expressed regret over their collaboration, explaining that her label made them link. Then, Breezy clapped back by asking fans to name five songs from the BB/ANG3L artist, which prompted a lot of debate online. Regardless, thanks to a new tweet that Tinashe liked, it seems like things aren’t over just yet, even if it’s through a innocuous and low-key action. Moreover, she recently liked a tweet that insinuates that the Virginia native is “butthurt” over a rejection.

“You already know we riding with you!” the tweet that Tinashe liked began. “I got a good feeling you rejected Chris and he’s still butthurt over it! That would explain his hostility and weird obsession with you lol.” Furthermore, it’s unclear if the tweeter is insinuating a romantic advance or if Chris Brown knew that she didn’t want to do their song together beforehand. Either way, it implies that the 30-year-old believes there’s something deeper behind Brown’s anger.

Even Tinashe’s Liked Tweets Are Making People Continue The Chris Brown Beef

However, from what Tinashe said during her reflection, it’s unclear whether she didn’t want to work with Chris Brown because of his abusive and controversial image or if she just didn’t think he would fit the track. Of course, many assume that the former is the case, and rightfully so. After all, before talking about their track “Player,” the Kentucky singer said that she regrets working with R. Kelly due to label demands. With both artists having a troubled past of abhorrent behavior (albeit to different degrees), it’s not hard to draw that line.

Meanwhile, the “Run It” superstar wants to move on from all that, and posits that people can change for the better. “I think people think I have a careless outlook on it,” he told Shannon Sharpe during a recent interview. “It’s not that I have a careless outlook. It’s that I don’t care to make you believe that I’m a great person or a good person. I try to stay in my lane, get outta the way, don’t bother nobody. But I’m not gonna take no nonsense.” On that note, keep checking in with HNHH for more news and updates on Chris Brown and Tinashe.

Chris Brown Songs: His Best Singles

Since hitting the scene in 2005 at 15, many Chris Brown songs have become instant classics. With over 100 songs in his catalog on the Billboard Hot 100, Chris Brown’s talent speaks for itself. Even in the early beginning stages of his career, the star received comparisons to the likes of Usher and Michael Jackson. In his 18-year-long career, Breezy has had countless R&B hits, club bangers, and chart-topping collaborations. While he continues producing quality music, some songs will always be memorable. Here are seven of the hottest Chris Brown songs to blaze the charts.

“No Guidance” ft. Drake (2019)

Great things can happen when you let the hurt go and squash the beef! Released on his ninth album, Indigo, the Breezy and Drake collab was a smash hit in the summer of 2019. “No Guidance” was a groovy club hit and, like many other Chris Brown songs, made waves on the charts. The song broke the record for most weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard R&B/ Hip Hop Airplay charts. The song also peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

“Run It” ft. Juelz Santana (2005)

This is the song that started it all. When Chris Brown debuted with “Run It” in 2015, we knew we were witnessing a new superstar. One of the most memorable early Chris Brown songs, “Run It,” was a youthful club hit popular among teens and grownups. The song peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making the debut also his first song to hold the spot. This feat also made him the third youngest solo artist to top the chart then.

“Fine China” (2013)

One of the more Pop sounding Chris Brown songs, “Fine China” was heavily favored by critics. Despite being preferred among critics, the song did not beat the record-breaking numbers of other Chris Brown songs. Nonetheless, “Fine China” became certified platinum by the RIAA. It was also nominated for Song of The Year at the 2013 Soul Train Awards. According to Chris Brown, the song took inspiration from legendary R&B artists like Michael Jackson, Sam Cooke, and Stevie Wonder. The video’s vintage setting also got Breezy nominated for Best Choreography at the 2013 MTV Music Video Awards.

“Deuces” ft. Tyga and Kevin McCall (2011)

This hit single from Chris Brown, Tyga, and Kevin McCall, who also produced the track, ended up being everybody’s go-to break-up anthem. Initially recorded for Chris Brown and Tyga’s joint album Fan of a Fan, the single later appeared as the opening track of the Chris Brown album F.A.M.E.. The slow, moody rap and R&B ballad peaked at No. 1 after nine weeks on the Billboard Hot R&B/ Hip Hop Songs chart. On the Billboard Hot 100, it peaked at No. 14, staying on the chart for a whopping 19 weeks! Later, a mega remix of the song was released featuring Drake, T.I., Kanye West, Fabolous, Rick Ross, and Andre 3000

“Kiss Kiss” ft. T-Pain (2007)

The collaboration between T-Pain and Chris Breezy was a match made in heaven. Both were riding high on their still-growing careers, and this team-up was an energetic smash hit. The song was nominated for Best Melodic Rap Performance at the 2008 Grammy Awards. On the Billboard Hot 100, “Kiss Kiss” stayed at No. 1 for three consecutive weeks! One of the most popular Chris Brown songs from his early career, the track ended up being a huge push forward for both Breezy and T-Pain.

“Look At Me Now” ft. Busta Rhymes (2011)

The 2011 single from his fourth album, F.A.M.E., “Look At Me Now” proved that Chris Brown could actually rap as well as sing. The Busta, Weezy, and Breezy collaboration swept at the 2011 B.E.T Awards. The song won Video of The Year, Best Collaboration, and Viewer’s Choice. On the Billboard Hot 100 charts, “Look At Me Now” reached No. 6. The song also reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Rap Songs chart, putting him among the elite MCs that year.

“Yo (Excuse Me Miss)” (2005)

Take a few seconds to visualize, if you will. It’s 2006. You’re at a middle school dance, playing it cool while watching your crush. She’s looking better than Megan Good. You’ve been trying to add her to your top five ever since she said she liked your braids in class that day. Since you “borrowed” your big brother’s throwback jersey, you’ve got the confidence to approach her, but you’re waiting for the right song. That’s when you hear, “Whoa whoa/ do doo do do doooo!” You know it’s your moment…

All jokes aside, “Excuse Me Miss” is a song that represents a whole generation and that puppy love at first sight we’ve all felt at that age. The song showcased Chris Brown’s charisma on a track at the young age of 16. The song’s lyrics have a playfully youthful yet romantic vibe that makes you nostalgic for when “crushes” felt serious (and you had to wait until after 9:00 p.m. to call). The smash hit peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100. His second Top 10 single in the U.S., “Excuse Me Miss” went on to become certified 2x platinum by the RIAA.
