Chlöe isn’t shying away from any display of emotions. On her new song, the title track of her solo debut album In Pieces, she bares all, recalling the touch of a past love.
Driven by simple piano cords, “In Pieces,” which serves as the closing track on the album, allows fans to hear the pain in Chlöe’s voice, and demonstrates her ability to craft beautifully-flowing melodies.
“I don’t wanna go on / livin’ a life that you’ve been missin’ / And I don’t want nobody else / To hold me when I’m in pieces,” she sings on the song’s chorus.
In the song’s accompanying visual, she is seen dressed in red, playing at a red piano.
Next month, Chlöe will embark on a North American tour to support In Pieces. In an interview with Rolling Stone, she said she looks forward to seeing how fans react to the songs, and hopes that the fans find comfort in her music.
“I feel like when more people are vocal and honest about their trials and tribulations and obstacles, it makes all of us feel less alone,” she said.

Rapper Latto promised a juicy first episode of her new Apple Music show, 777 Radio, and she delivered with special guest Chlöe. The “Body Do” singer has maintained a thick skin when it comes to rumors about her. However, when it comes to fans pitting her and her sister Halle Bailey against each with endless comparisons she’s not having it.
The Swarm actress fired off about the topic when asked by the host in the clip shared with People, saying, “Honestly, it really pisses me off.”
Chlöe continued by adding, “I think out of everything, that’s the thing that gets under my skin the most, when people are comparing us, because we are best friends, we’re sisters. Sometimes we forget that we’re not twins, and it’s like, don’t mess with my blood. Don’t mess with her.”
Before the clip ends, Chlöe explained, “Sometimes I just have to brush it off because people only see what they want to make up, what they want to believe, and it’s like, sometimes I don’t need to give off that energy and waste my time explaining something that I know isn’t true.”
The full first episode of 777 Radio featuring Chlöe will be released tomorrow, March 30, at 11 a.m. PT. New episodes of the series will air biweekly on Thursdays exclusively on Apple Music 1. For more information, click here.
Chlöe Bailey likely stood at the top of the list of things Gunna missed the most during his incarceration. The “You & I” collaborators began to develop a friendship that many perceived could be much more than that. However, things between the singer and the DS4EVER rapper came to a halt when the YSL RICO case unfolded. Gunna, along with Young Thug and over two dozen overs, were charged with violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization act, while Chlöe’s solo career continued to flourish.
However, the two didn’t lose complete contact since Gunna got caught up in the case. Chlöe appeared on Big Boy’s Neighborhood to discuss her upcoming album, In Pieces. However, the conversation led to her friendship with Gunna. When Big Boy asked Chlöe if she spoke to Gunna since his release, she began to giggle. “I mean, we don’t really talk about a personal type of things but he’s doing good,” she told the host as she tried to keep her response brief.
Chlöe Hasn’t Seen Gunna Since Prison Release
Big Boy acknowledged his efforts as “clickbait,” while prying further on the topic. “I always wish him the best. He’s always been a dear friend of mine so I want to make sure he’s okay,” she said. Chlöe confirmed that she hasn’t seen Gunna since he came home but she said that they’ve had a few conversations since he copped an Alford Plea. Evidently, she’s not holding the snitching allegations over Gunna’s head like a few of his peers in hip-hop, like Lil Baby and Meek Mill.
The rumors surrounding a potential romance began to take shape when Gunna shared a flirty comment after Chlöe delivered a sultry performance at the VMAs in 2021. Then, Gunna took his shot on the Breakfast Club where he made it clear that he’s feeling her. That particular moment turned into the inspiration behind Chlöe’s single, “For The Night.” “I might regret saying this, but hey, maybe it’ll help f*cking streams. I don’t even think he knows this! I wrote ‘For The Night’ about Gunna,” Bailey admitted. “Yep, I said it bitches. I said it. So, you know. Yep. I wrote that song after The Breakfast Club interview I believe.” Check Chlöe’s comments about Gunna above.
Anticipation is high for Chlöe’s solo debut album, In Pieces. Just days before its arrival, Chlöe stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! to debut a new song from the project.
On her latest song, “Cheatback,” Chlöe has no desire to exact revenge on an unfaithful man. In this case, she’d prefer to give him a taste of his own medicine.
Over a simple acoustic guitar, Chlöe reminds the cheater that she has plenty of people knocking on her door, and she isn’t afraid to play the games he has been playing with her.
“Find another boo from the hood with some tats / Give him what’s yours, show him I can throw it back / Maybe then, baby, you’ll know how to act / if I cheat back / Send him new pics in that outfit you like / Say I’m with my girls while he spendin’ the night / Maybe then, baby, you’ll know how to act / if I cheat back,” she sings on the song’s chorus.
Fans can hear the official version, which will feature Future, upon the release of In Pieces this week. In the meantime, check out the performance above.

Chloe Bailey’s sex scene in the new Prime Video series Swarm had fans talking once they realized it was her. However, others have viewed it as too NSFW and pushed back. Chlöe herself recently responded to this debate on Big Boy’s Neighborhood podcast.
“I’m an actress and I feel like it’s about art,” she said. “It’s not about seeing me in the mirror of that scene. But I think because it’s me doing it, that’s what kind of makes it blow out of proportion.”
During her appearance, she was also asked if she thought her scene partner, Damson Idris, had received a similar discourse — as Bailey is barely seen for a split second.
“I don’t think so because he’s a man,” she answered. I was just doing my job and people got to remember that I’m an adult and I’m an artist and nothing was seen that they haven’t seen from me. You didn’t see nipple. When I first received the script, I was just like… It was just insane and gorgeous and I think people are forgetting the plot of that scene.”
Along with her acting crossover, she is gearing up to drop her debut solo album, In Pieces.
It’s Sunday once again, which means we’re back with another roundup of must-hear songs on our R&B Season playlist. While this weekend’s list is primarily female-dominated, we do have a few noteworthy titles from 6LACK’s latest project, Since I Have A Lover. The album marks his first since 2018’s East Atlanta Love Letter and has left listeners pleased since landing on Friday (March 24).
“Testify” is the first track to catch our attention, followed by “Temporary,” on which the Baltimore native collaborates with Don Toliver. The only other joint effort on the 19-song-long tracklist comes from the artist’s own partner, QUIN, on “wunna dem.” Over the past few weeks, other 6LACK releases like “Fatal Attraction” and “Talkback” have landed on our R&B Season update, as well as his album’s titular single.

Following that comes Yaya Bey’s latest, “exodus the north star,” which arrived as a part of a six-pack EP earlier this weekend. So far, other standout titles from the project include “on the pisces moon” and “ascendent (mother fxcker)” on which she worked with Exaktly. If you’re looking to experiment with new sounds, we highly recommend giving the short and sweet release a full listen when you have the time.
Victoria Monét came through with some serious R&B Season heat in the form of “Smoke” featuring Lucky Daye. As expected, the two artist’s voices beautifully collide while setting a sultry mood for listeners to enjoy. Finally, Chlöe closes out our latest lineup with her “Body Do” single as we eagerly await the arrival of her debut solo album, In Pieces, which is due to officially arrive on DSPs next Friday (March 31).

We are just a week away from Chlöe‘s hotly-anticipated debut solo album, In Pieces. Tonight (March 24), she has shared the latest piece from the album, an energetic track called “Body Do.”
The song is more uptempo than the singles she has previously released — “Pray It Away” and “How Does It Feel” — but demonstrates her versatility. Not only is she one of the most promising voices in the current R&B landscape, but she has the range to dominate the pop charts as well.
While the previous two singles put a heartbroken Chlöe on display, “Body Do” features her getting her groove back, as she finds power in her sexuality.
“You know I can’t trust you / As far as I can throw you / But I’ma trust what that body do / Yeah, I’ma trust what that body do / Yeah, I could never ever love you / ‘Cause I could never evеr trust you / But I’ma trust what that body do / ‘Cause I can see what that body do,” she sings in a glimmering falsetto over a pulsating electronic beat.
With her new album on the way, a buzzy role on Prime Video’s Swarm, and her movie Praise This premiering next month, to say Chlöe is keeping busy would be an understatement.
You can listen to “Body Do” above.
In Pieces is out 3/31 via Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records. Find more information here.
Donald Glover scored himself another successful hit with Swarm. Dominique Fishback is stellar in the lead role of Dre, an obsessed fan who embarks on a crazy journey as she stalks her favorite pop star. The series is said to be inspired by Beyoncé’s dedicated BeyHive fanbase, but that has been argued. Meanwhile, it isn’t just the cameos and star-studded cast that has caused Swarm to become a hot topic; Chlöe and Damson Idris’s raunchy sex scene made for naughty memes on social media.
In a scene, the singer and Snowfall star were having intercourse, albeit Chlöe was face down in a doggy-style position. Some found it amusing and cracked jokes, others were a tad hot under the collar, but a select few criticized the “Have Mercy” singer. Chlöe emerged with her sister Halle Bailey as songbirds who were Beyoncé’s muses. Critics believed Chlöe was straying from the ‘good girl’ persona she’s carried throughout her career. Despite the pushback, the singer’s Grown-ish co-star Trevor Jackson defended her against naysayers.
Chlöe & Damson Idris Were Performing Art
Fans may be taking things a bit too seriously, suggests Jackson. He was stopped by TMZ and questioned about the singer’s recent scene. “I haven’t seen it yet, but it’s art,” he said. “And I support Chlöe in any and everything that she does. He added, “She’s an amazing person, and she’s an artist. She can do whatever she wants, whatever she feels led to do. It’s her life, and she’ll always have my support every time.”
When Chlöe first began teasing her solo career, she faced backlash from people who believed she was being too sexy. Some saw it as performative, others thought she was trying too hard. However, the criticisms seemed more about how they saw the singer, not how she saw herself. Chlöe has repeatedly defended her forms of expression, and with each new sizzling release, she storms the charts. Further, she’s readying for the arrival of her debut solo album, In Pieces. The project is slated for arrival on March 31 through Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records. Watch Trevor Jackson defend Chlöe above.
She has received her first official taste as a screenwriter, and Malia Obama is being praised for her contributions to Swarm. Donald Glover previously revealed that the former First Daughter would enter Hollywood with a career far from her parents’ political endeavors. He was excited to collaborate with the 24-year-old, and finally, Obama saw her name in the credits. Janine Nabers helped Glover create Swarm, and the showrunner told Entertainment Tonight, “[‘Girl, Bye’] is probably one of the wildest episodes.” She also stated, “I think it’s going to surprise a lot of people. It’s pretty dope. I’m really proud of it.”
“Some of her pitches were wild as hell, and they were just so good and so funny,” Nabers said of Obama. The two women wrote the “Girl Bye” episode together. “She’s an incredible writer. She brought a lot to the table… She’s really, really dedicated to her craft.” Nabers also said Obama “just folded into [the group]” with ease. “I’m really excited for everyone to get to know her work, and the work of the writers on a show.” The sentiments were echoed by Dominique Fishback, who delivered a stellar performance in the lead role of Dre. Her character is the obsessed fan of a Pop icon.
Chlöe & Dominique Fishback Are Proud Of Malia Obama
“It was nice to know that she was going to be on it. And that we had different voices and different generations involved in making the show,” said Fishback. “It was pretty cool to meet her. I think she’s dope.” Meanwhile, Chlöe met the Obama sisters many years ago, so reuniting with Malia was refreshing. “It was always so fun and exciting getting to run into Malia and Sasha years prior,” said the “Have Mercy” songbird. “Having that relationship with Mrs. Obama and getting to meet her daughters… I was always so honored, and they always felt like my family in my head.”
“Getting to see Malia now” is the reunion that Chlöe didn’t expect, but she realizes she needed. “Us both growing into who we are as young women and making our own mark; her as an incredible writer and me making my mark as an entertainer and an actress. It was really fun. I was just so excited when I actually got to see her on set. I’m just so proud of her.”
Donald Glover’s Recognition
When it was revealed that Malia Obama would be working on the show last year, Glover called her an “amazing talented person.” He added, “She’s really focused, and she’s working really hard. I feel like she’s just somebody who’s gonna have really good things coming soon… Her writing style is great.”
The release of Chlöe’s long-anticipated solo debut album, In Pieces, is just weeks away, and the “How Does It Feel” singer has just unveiled the tracklist. Consisting of 14 tracks, the album will include a pair of unexpected features in addition to the Chris Brown feature on the aforementioned single. Future will make a fitting contribution to the track “Cheatback,” while Missy Elliott appears on “Told Ya.” You can see the full tracklist below.
As Chlöe has rolled out her album, she’s also drawn headlines for some of her acting roles as well. In February, it was announced that the singer would star alongside Woody Harrelson and Oliva Colman in a musical film inspired by Bob Dylan, North Country, while last week her sex scene in the Amazon Prime social media satire Swarm set Stan Twitter abuzz. And in April, just one week after her album drops, she’ll star in Peacock’s musical comedy, Praise This, ensuring that the spring will belong to the Bailey sisters (Halle, the other half of the duo, stars in The Little Mermaid in May).
In Pieces is out 3/31 via Parkwood/Columbia. Pre-save it here.
