Carnival is a worldwide tradition going back hundreds of years involving music, parades, and revealing costumes, called mas (short for masquerade). And if there’s one star who loves revealing costumes, it’s Chloe Bailey. The In Pieces singer recently attended the celebration in St. Lucia (her godmother’s home country) and shared her cheeky mas costume online. Like many costumes, it’s an elaborate display of feathers, beads, and jewelry — in this case, the feathers are orange, violet, and magenta — arranged on a skimpy swimsuit with a huge headdress to match. During her set, she paid tribute to one of the legends we lost recently, Tina Turner. Chloe performed a stunning rendition of “What’s Love Got To Do With It” and the fans erupted into supportive cheering. “Rest in power to the great Tina Turner,” Chloe said with arms outstretched. “This one’s for you. I love you.”
The 24-year-old singer-songwriter was performing without her sister and duo counterpart, Halle Bailey, who is no doubt still doing plenty of press for her The Little Mermaid remake. While Halle plays Ariel, Chloe Bailey channeled her inner Turner with a red-and-gold dress with long fringes on the arms. And despite not being an exact replica of the late great singer — many fans picked up on too much vibrato from Bailey, even asking for Kelly Rowland to do the tribute instead — she still rocked the stage at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles.
CNN’s “Juneteenth: A Global Celebration for Freedom” was a major platform to show the world how much the music industry loved Tina Turner. Not only did Chloe Bailey headline the tribute, but Vice President Kamala Harris also spoke at the event, talking about the “ongoing fight” for freedom. Chloe Bailey was photographed at Ye’s birthday, though the roller she was using to maneuver around tells us she must have sustained an injury recently. The outfit is undeniably on point, but what’s really got fans’ attention is the “Have Mercy” hitmaker’s hair, which has been beautifully styled into space buns on either side of her head.
Throughout the snapshots we see Bailey striking various poses, snapping some selfies in the mirror and riding in the back of a car snacking on one of her favourites – watermelon. It remains unclear exactly what the Praise This actress was dressed up for, or if she was simply playing dress-up to take fun photos for her fans.

His first guest was Cardi B, who he spoke to about the tragic death of Takeoff, as well as her experience with plastic surgery. In the months since, we’ve heard him chat with the likes of La La Anthony, NLE Choppa, and now, Chlöe Bailey. The young vocalist has been booked and busy this year, but after wrapping up her In Pieces tour, found time to sit down with Lee to discuss a few things.
Of their many juicy conversation topics, one that most caught our attention was her rumoured fling with Gunna. Though they collaborated on a song for his DS4EVER album and hung out a few times in early 2022, nothing serious ever transpired between the Atlanta natives. Bailey previously said on Twitter that she wrote “For The Night” – on which she worked with Latto – about the YSL rapper. When Lee asked her if he inspired any titles from the tracklist, however, the Praise This actress took back her former claims.
Elsewhere, Chlöe and the Hollywood Unlocked CEO got to talking about Beyoncé, who’s been a long-time mentor to the former. When the 24-year-old’s debut album failed to do huge numbers earlier this year, some online critics speculated that Queen B should’ve done more to help Bailey. Despite what the internet had to say, the fashionista made it abundantly clear that she’s not bothered by the numeric achievements of In Pieces, and that she doesn’t expect Bey to do anything for her.
