R. Kelly Theororized About Jay-Z Trying To Kill Him While In Jail, Former Cellmate Claims

Though he’s still seen as one of the most influential artists to touch R&B by many lovers of the genre, it’s hard to deny the disappointment of R. Kelly’s downfall. It’s been an especially rough few years for the vocalist. He’s set to remain behind bars for the near future due to his heinous crimes against Black girls and women. We haven’t heard much from the embattled star directly. However, on Friday (June 9), his former cellmate, Ronnie Bo, spoke with Hip-Hop News Uncensored about what his time locked up with Kelly was like.

According to Bo, the “I Believe I Can Fly” hitmaker had a few theories about one past collaborator. Specifically, he believe that Jay-Z may have been involved in a murder conspiracy. “He felt like JAY-Z was kind of insecure because, at the time, R. Kelly was technically bigger than him,” Kelly’s cellmate told the outlet. “He felt like [during] one of the shows when they was in Madison Square Garden [in 2004] prior to that event, he said days before the event that he was getting death threats that he felt was coming from JAY-Z.” At the time, both artists were touring together. They had just dropped The Best of Both Worlds in 2002, and Unfinished Business two years later.

Ronnie Bo Dishes on R. Kelly in New Interview

“I don’t know if this is going to sound outrageous… He felt like JAY-Z was trying to get him killed for whatever reason,” Ronnie added. During their joint tour, the convicted sex offender left the stage during a Madison Square Garden show as he believed men were pointing guns at him. On his way back out, he was infamously pepper-sprayed by Tyran “Ty Ty” Smith, a close friend of Hov’s. This ultimately resulted in the end of his and Kelly’s complicated working relationship.

Elsewhere in the news, it was reported earlier this month that Jay-Z’s former New York apartment has been listed for sale for $1.4 million. It’s obviously got nothing on the $200M home he and Beyonce just purchased in California, but still, it’s a significant piece of hip-hop history and the Roc Nation head’s come-up in the industry. Read more about the listing at the link below, and check back later for more pop culture news updates.

Blueface Calls Chrisean Rock A “Cellmate,” Rather Than A “Soulmate”: Watch

Her pregnancy has undeniably helped her grow up and mature over the past few months. However, Chrisean Rock has been having a hard time as of late. She and Blueface are best known for their tumultuous relationship – some of which is depicted on Zeus’ Crazy In Love series. They’ve unfortunately continued to lash out at each other in person and online as the 23-year-old grows their child. She hopped on Instagram Live this past weekend to vent about some of her frustrations. Elsewhere, the “Thotiana” hitmaker has kept busy defeating Ed Matthews and appearing on Kick Game‘s YouTube channel.

During her stream, Rock admitted that she’s been feeling some regret over her decision to go forward with this pregnancy after terminating three others. “I was excited at first, but now I’m just like, ‘Oh…’” she admitted to viewers. “I’m not in the mood for any of the baby traditions and shit,” the Maryland native added, though she didn’t express exactly what’s caused her drastic change in heart. Now that we’ve heard what Blueface had to say about her while sneaker shopping, however, many are empathizing with Chrisean more than ever before.

Blueface Compares Chrisean Rock Relationship to Jail

When host Craig Mitch asked Blueface to explain his union with Rock, the 26-year-old said, “It’s like the best, worst, saddest, happiest, ugliest, beautifullest, thing I’ve ever done. All in one.” He later added, “The only thing I don’t like is the misconception of her role and my role in the relationship. It’s like she’s younger, more impulsive, and more victimized-playing and I’m just stuck with the d*ck… I get blamed for all the f*ck shit. It’s not that way.” Aside from those comments, the West Coast-based artist also revealed whether he believes his co-star is also his soulmate.

“Hell no,” he quickly confirmed with a laugh. “No, she’s a f*cking cellmate. That’s what she is. We’re locked the f*ck up,” he ranted. Regardless of the trash the OnlyFans creator loves to talk, he always ends up back beside Chrisean Rock, likely explaining why he views being with her as a prison when really the trap exists within the toxic cycles he’s choosing to repeat.
