Rich Homie Quan’s cause of death was ruled by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office as an accidental overdose earlier this month, which was cause by a lethal combo of fentanyl, alprazolam, codeine, and promethazine found during his autopsy.
It was reported that food was still in his mouth when he was discovered on the kitchen floor by his brother, Andre Munford, at 3am the morning before the ambulance was called. Later that same morning, his GF Amber Williams woke up at 11am and saw that Quan was still in the same position for the past eight hours.
At that time, Williams called 911 and paramedics took him to Atlanta’s Grady Hospital, which is where the 34-year-old rapper passed away. Body footage from police on the date of his death(September 5) has surfaced online, where you can see first responders question Munford and Williams about what exactly transpired before paramedics arrived.

His brother seemed to be able to handle the questioning quite thoroughly, but Williams seemed obviously emotional from the entire ordeal. GOSSIP OF THE CITY says that Munford took some pictures of him with the food in his mouth. APD also told Williams that Quan’s eyes were still open when he was being transported to the hospital.
Police on the scene claim that Quan’s death was suspicious, so homicide detectives were called to the scene.
Tyreek Hill, star wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins, found himself in an unexpected situation during a traffic stop with Miami-Dade Police just hours before his team’s first game of the season. The incident led to Hill being detained briefly by the authorities. However, the altercation between Hill and the police quickly gained attention, especially after body-camera footage of the event was released, showing the aggressive nature of the officers at the scene. Both the Miami Dolphins organization and the local police have made public statements, though the body cam footage ultimately speaks volumes.
According to CNN, Miami-Dade Police pulled over Tyreek Hill as he drove to the stadium before the Dolphins’ game. Per police reports, the traffic stop was initiated due to Hill’s failure to wear a seatbelt and for allegedly speeding. Things escalated when Hill, visibly frustrated, expressed dissatisfaction with how the officer approached his car and knocked on the window.
In the body-camera footage released by the police department, Hill can be heard telling the officer, “Don’t knock on my window like that.” As the interaction continued, Hill grew more agitated, repeatedly asking for his ticket so he could leave. The officer then ordered Hill to lower his window fully, but when Hill hesitated, the situation quickly intensified. Within moments, Hill was pulled from his vehicle, restrained, and placed in handcuffs.
Body-Camera Footage Released
The MDPD released nearly two hours of body-worn camera footage of the incident just a day after it happened. Police Director Stephanie V. Daniels explained that although it is not common practice to release footage before the conclusion of an internal review, they chose to do so to ensure transparency with the public.
The footage shows Hill growing increasingly frustrated as the officers continued to instruct him to lower his window. After several verbal exchanges, Hill was physically removed from his vehicle, handcuffed, and briefly detained. Hill repeatedly expressed confusion and frustration, telling CNN, “I’m still kind of shell-shocked from it.”
Following the release of the body-camera footage, the Miami Dolphins organization publicly criticized the behavior of the officers involved. The team expressed disappointment in the “unnecessary force” directed towards Hill and his teammates, who later arrived at the scene. “It is both maddening and heartbreaking to watch the very people we trust to protect our community use such unnecessary force and hostility towards these players, yet it is also a reminder that not every situation like this ends in peace, as we are grateful this one did,” the team said in a statement. The Dolphins emphasized they have a positive relationship with the local police. Still, they believe this incident demonstrated an abuse of power by the officers involved.
Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, also condemned the actions of the police, calling for the officers to be fired. Rosenhaus described the situation as “heartbreaking” and expressed disbelief at how things unfolded. He insisted that Hill was trying to get to work and should not have been treated with such hostility.
Calais Campbell’s Involvement
During the incident, Dolphins defensive lineman Calais Campbell arrived at the scene and attempted to deescalate the situation. Campbell recounted the situation in an interview with ESPN. He explained how he approached the officers with his hands up, and hoped to speak with them about Hill’s detainment. However, his efforts were quickly shut down. Campbell was told to leave the scene, and when he refused, he was handcuffed as well. He expressed concern over how quickly things escalated. Campbell stated that the situation could have taken a much darker turn had they not been there to support one another.
Police Union Defends Officers

In response to the backlash from Hill’s detention, the local police union defended the actions of the officers involved. According to Steadman Stahl, president of the South Florida Police Benevolent Association, Hill was uncooperative from the moment the officers approached his vehicle, which led to them placing him in handcuffs for their own safety.
“Upon being stopped, Mr. Hill was not immediately cooperative with the officers on scene who, pursuant to policy and for their immediate safety, placed Mr. Hill in handcuffs,” Stahl told CNN. “Mr. Hill, still uncooperative, refused to sit on the ground and was therefore redirected to the ground. Once the situation was sorted out within a few minutes, Mr. Hill was issued two traffic citations and was free to leave. In this case, while we will wait for the investigation to run its course, based on what we know, we stand with the actions of our officers but look forward to further open communication moving forward.”
Investigation & Officer Reassignment
One officer involved in the incident has been placed on administrative duties pending the outcome of the internal review. The officer, identified as Danny Torres, is a veteran with 27 years of service. While the investigation is ongoing, Torres’ attorneys have spoken out in defense of their client. They stated that they support the review but believe the officer should be reinstated.
Director Daniels of the Miami-Dade Police Department emphasized her commitment to transparency and accountability in all matters involving her officers. However, she stopped short of making any specific predictions about the outcome of the investigation.
Hill’s Reflection On The Incident
In an interview with CNN, Tyreek Hill reflected on the altercation, expressing a mix of confusion and embarrassment. “I was following rules. I wasn’t moving fast because you know I got injuries, I got things that I go through, I play a physical sport, I’ve been doing this for a moment now man so I’m dealing with some stuff, so I guess the officers, they felt like I wasn’t doing it on their timing.” Hill also speculated on how differently the situation could have unfolded if he weren’t a high-profile athlete, suggesting that it could have ended much worse.
Hill admitted that he was trying to avoid causing a scene by keeping his window up, as he didn’t want to attract attention from passersby. “I’m not trying to cause a scene because … if I let my window down, people walking by, driving by, they’re going to notice that it’s me and they’re going to start taking pictures. I didn’t want to create a scene at all, I just really wanted to get the ticket and then just go out about my way and have a great Sunday.”
Back in 2023, Trippie Redd and his older brother were pulled over for tinted windows when police realized that the artist didn’t have a license. They cannot come to a traffic stop… So you have no license and you’re driving, that’s one citation. You’re probably gonna be arrested but that’s my discretion.”
Fortunately, Trippie ended up with a citation, was not arrested, and kept calm throughout the entire exchange based on the footage. His brother Hunter, on the other hand, was arrested for weed found near the passenger seat and brought to a nearby jail. In May of last year, DaniLeigh was arrested near Miami Beach for a hit-and-run. Reportedly, she hit a 17-year-old victim who was riding a moped, leaving him with various injuries. She was charged with a DUI causing serious injury, as well as three additional charges. She pleaded no contest to two of the charges in February and was sentenced to five years probation. Her other two charges, leaving the scene of a crime and another DUI charge, will be dismissed if she completes her probation.
Now, bodycam footage of her arrest has surfaced online, revealing exactly what took place only moments after the hit-and-run. In it, she argues with an officer while being taken away in handcuffs. “I’m a singer, you can’t arrest me,” she explained. “Okay?” the officer responded, sounding unimpressed.
Obviously, this wasn’t very persuasive to the police, and she was taken to jail anyway. At another point in the footage, DaniLeigh is seen sitting on the curb as an officer reprimands her for laughing despite the seriousness of the situation. Interestingly enough, Quavo even popped up briefly at this point, though it’s unclear exactly why he was there. “Yeah that’s Quavo, the Migos,” she told one of the cops. “Those are my boys.”
Reportedly, DaniLeigh took a Breathalyzer, which proved that her blood alcohol content was almost twice the legal limit. Her alleged victim reportedly suffered a lacerated kidney and a fractured spine. Shortly after the incident, he filed a civil lawsuit against her. Earlier this year, a minor disagreement on a Miami yacht landed Travis Scott in jail. He was charged with disorderly intoxication and trespassing. Luckily, the hitmaker was released within hours, and on a private jet back to LA. Today, it was reported that the state of Florida has decided to move forward with a misdemeanor trespassing charge against him. He’ll go to trial next month. On the upside, they dropped the disorderly intoxication charge.
Now, however, police bodycam footage from his arrest has been obtained by TMZ. In it, he argues with officers as they repeatedly question why he returned to the yacht despite being told to leave. Scott tells them that when they initially asked if he’d left anything behind, he was freaked out by all of the cops. For this reason, he says he forgot some of his belongings on board. He got heated, and eventually, they put handcuffs on him.

Footage from his initial encounter with police has also been uncovered. It shows Scott jumping off the yacht to chat with an officer. When asked what happened, he simply explained that he had rented the yacht, and its owner kicked down the door just before midnight claiming he had to leave. From there, he says he told the owner it was “disrespectful” to have entered the room like that, and added that the owner’s wife was “trippin.” At the beginning of this clip, he says that there was a lady with a firearm “threatening,” though it’s unclear whether or not the owner’s wife was who he was referring to.
While this run-in surely put a damper on the performer’s good time, he seemed to get over it pretty quickly. He even dropped merch featuring his mugshot the very next day. In the first video, GloRilla is seen chatting with an officer through her window, repeatedly telling her that she’s “cool” when asked about how many drinks she’d had that night. She then asked the officer whether or not she knew who she was, which she didn’t. At one point in the video, she told the officer she had a gun in the backseat of her car registered under her name, though it wasn’t listed in the police report.

In July of last year, Spotemgottem was placed under arrest following a high-speed police chase through North Miami Beach. The Florida-born rapper was allegedly cruising through the city in a red Corvette when authorities tried to pull him over. Instead of stopping, however, SpotemGottem proceeded to speed off.
Eventually, it was reported that he had collided with another nearby vehicle. He fled the scene on foot and was later found hiding from authorities. His hiding spot of choice was a stranger’s shed, where police eventually found him. Now, new bodycam footage of the incident has surfaced online, in which authorities tell SpotemGottem to get on the ground. It seems as if the rapper informed officers of a leg injury, based on the footage, though one cop’s response was “I don’t give a f*ck about your leg.” Later on, officers are seen inspecting two gold chains, presumably taken off of SpotemGottem or out of his car.
Upon searching the vehicle, authorities found a Glock 23, ammunition, and more. He was hit with various charges, including fleeing and eluding police, burglary, and possession of a firearm. Unfortunately, this was far from SpotemGottem’s first run-in with the law. Back in 2022, he was spotted speeding on a jetski, but again, fled the scene when authorities tried to stop him. Eventually, they caught up to him, and he was arrested. He was charged with the reckless operation of a boat and fleeing law enforcement officers.
In 2021, the artist was also arrested for allegedly threatening a parking garage attendant with a gun. Cellphone videos of the aftermath of the incident quickly made their way online as the news broke. But now years later bodycam footage from one of the officers who responded to the scene has leaked online.
The video is very eerie for fans who remember pictures of the scene in the aftermath of the shooting. While the clips don’t feature anything explicit they do show some of the immediate action taken by police following the shooting. In the specific footage that leaked the officer wearing the camera talks to multiple witnesses. He takes notes as two people who saw what went down explain the details of the situation. It’s unclear how the footage finally came to light after multiple years but it serves as a grim reminder for fans of the late rapper. In April 2020, NBA YoungBoy’s then-fiancée Yaya Mayweather stabbed a woman multiple times outside of his Louisiana home. Newly-surfaced bodycam footage uploaded by YouTube channel Raq Rarest shows YB speaking with police after the shocking incident, appearing taken aback by what he had just witnessed.
Reportedly, Mayweather’s victim Lapattra Lashai Jacobs had a child with the YB, and had instructed Mayweather to leave the house when she arrived. Mayweather refused, and the situation quickly turned violent. Allegedly, Mayweather stormed into the home and retrieved two knives, which she used to stab Jacobs two times. Jacobs was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where she was treated for her injuries. She reportedly underwent surgery for lacerations on her arm, and has since made a full recovery.
Another clip posted to the same YouTube channel shows NBA YoungBoy sitting in handcuffs in the back of a police car after the incident. He repeatedly told officers that he didn’t want to discuss what he had just seen, and claimed that Mayweather didn’t do anything wrong. “The victim will tell you,” he explained. He later demanded that officers remove his handcuffs, and they refused.
Similar footage of Mayweather shows her getting emotional when learning that Jacobs had to be taken to a hospital, also insisting that NBA YoungBoy was innocent. Ultimately, Mayweather pleaded guilty to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in April of 2022. She was sentenced to six years of probation. Prosecutors also recommended that she receive six years of deferred adjunction, as well as 40 hours of community service.
