Funny Marco Thinks Bobbi Althoff Joint Tour Could Still Happen

If there was an award for “Best Breakout Comedy Star of 2023,” both Funny Marco and Bobbi Althoff would easily be in the running. They’ve been hard at work for longer, but this year is when they really started to get a lot more attention, laughs, and opportunities. However, it seems like things between the two are not as buddy-buddy as they once were, or Marco is just trolling us a little with his demeanor. Moreover, he recently spoke to Complex‘s Speedy Morman for 360 With Speedy at ComplexCon 2023 and addressed a previous promise that they would go on tour together eventually.

As their conversation began to wrap up, Morman asked Funny Marco about Bobbi Althoff and how he appeared on her show. When he asked what their relationship is like and whether they’ll go on the tour that they promised, Marco started drinking from his water bottle and asked how much time they had left (3 minutes, by the way). Speedy had already mentioned that their initial dates disappeared, so something must’ve happened, and Marco said that “she didn’t feel good,” so they scrapped it. Once Althoff feels better, though, he’s down to hop back on the road and talk about “just a whole bunch of fun stuff.”

Furthermore, during this same sit-down, Funny Marco also spoke on his first-ever Open Thoughts interview with DaBaby. “It was dangerous,” he chuckled. “When I asked DaBaby why he rapped the same, I was trying to ask for the people. That was something I shouldn’t have did, but I did it. But it was great. We ended up making a great episode, got a great relationship. But sometimes I’m like, don’t ask what the people want to know– just ask what you need to know. So that was something that I learned from that.”

Meanwhile, Althoff’s been pretty low-key as of late, perhaps due to backlash for recent interview snippets. Either way, if she’s not feeling well, we wish her a speedy recovery with hopes that she’ll be able to enjoy this tour. Bobbi Althoff Criticized For Seemingly Treating White Guests Differently To Her Black Guests After Scarlett Johansson Clips Emerge

Bobbi Althoff is facing accusations of racism following the release of promotional clips for her interview with Scarlett Johansson. Specifically, Althoff has been criticized for seemingly being a lot more personable and engaging with Johansson compared to her previous viral interviews with Drake, Shaq, and Offset. While Althoff maintains her deadpan style in the Johansson clips, there is less of her now-signature stand-off demeanor that drove the engagement to her previous interviews.

Althoff, who has gone from TikTok momfluencer to the most-debated content creator on the internet, is not for everyone. Her interview style, which primarily centers on doing very little research on her subjects, has been negatively compared to the likes of Nardwuar. Many Black creators have publicly announced that they no longer want to speak on Althoff as it only drives more attention to her. However, the mother of two still has millions of fans who eager lap up her content.

One of the most notable examples of Althoff’s strategy backfiring came in her interview with Offset. While the interview has been deemed as being “awkward” and “negative”, Offset said that the experience was overall positive. However, he explained that he had done his research on her before going into the interview. That way, when she tried to hit him with an awkward question, he shot one right back at her. “If you ask me a crazy question, I’m gonna reverse it on you,” Offset told Ebro in a recent interview.

However, the Offset interview also just showcased how flimsy Althoff’s premise is. She looked lost and almost defensive throughout the interview. It’s why many people have said that Althoff wishes she was Nardwuar, who prepares almost religiously for every interview and spends weeks, if not longer, trying to find an organic avenue for approaching his subject. But now Althoff must contend with the reality that her content plays very differently among different audiences.

Bobbi Althoff’s podcast has sent the 26-year-old speedily skyrocketing into the inner circles of Hollywood, but that doesn’t mean everyone is a fan of her work. The young woman has been sitting down with some of the biggest names in hip-hop over the past few months, asking them notoriously awkward questions and bickering through uncomfortable small talk. Drake previously sat down with Althoff. However, his interview is no longer streaming after rumours of a sexual relationship between the pair began flying. Elsewhere, she’s also spoken to Lil Yachty, and more recently, Offset.

As reactions to her video with the former Migo continue to pour in, it seems Althoff isn’t feeling any worry about the negativity. To celebrate her success, she went out on the town with a group of friends, though it’s obvious in the video below that her awkward nature follows her outside of recording her Really Good Podcast episodes too. On Saturday (September 30) evening, salacious reality starlet Sukihana posted a tweet that finds her turning up on stage at the strip club, Althoff standing alongside her, looking stiff as ever with her arms crossed.

Though a small smirk appears on the media personality’s face, she doesn’t give in to moving along with the infectious beat. However, the latter – hosted by 26-year-old Bobbi Althoff – has come under fire for its uncomfortably awkward nature. Her most recent guest was Offset. It became abundantly clear that being married to Cardi B was all the preparation the former Migo needed to combat Althoff’s attitude.

Besides his upcoming album, Set and the host discussed plenty of relevant topics, including fashion, which the rapper has always been a big fan of. “I’m really fly tho, and it’s like, you don’t get it,” the father of five markedly told Althoff. The stark contrast in their outfits (he looked ready to attend a runway show or hit the club, while Althoff was more prepared for a trip to the grocery store) clearly proves that they’re in different leagues when it comes to style, but that didn’t stop Offset from roasting the podcaster.

When the mother of one asked the lyricist to stop being mean to her, he responded, “I’m not being mean, I’m just passionate because I want people to get it. If they don’t get it, they’ll dress like you and be lost.” All Althoff could say to that was, “Oh?” causing viewers to crack up. “Like, why would you go 2000s tank with the open button up?” Set continued to berate Althoff.

“I don’t claim to be into fashion and you do,” she defensively shot back. “Yeah, but see, the thing is, if that was the case then you would’ve just came in here with a big a**. hoodie on and some sweatpants. You really tried… You put that together? It’s just not all the way together. I can get it together tho,” the “Clout” hitmaker assured her.

When Does Offset & Bobbi Althoff’s Interview Come Out?

Hip-hop podcast newbie Bobbi Althoff is back with another sit-down conversation. Since the TikTok influencer’s inaugural The Really Good podcast episode with Drake, Althoff has left fans of the culture torn over her interviewing style. That division was heightened when Lil Yachty made an appearance in July. It has been revealed that “Fan” rapper Offset will be the next rap superstar to join Althoff for an awkward conversation.

So when does Offset & Bobbi Althoff’s interview come out? According to the caption in Althoff’s latest Instagram upload, the episode will be released on her official YouTube page this Thursday, September 28.

In their forthcoming exchange’s teaser clip (inserted above), Offset cut right through Althoff’s typical “I don’t know you” shtick. When Offset began questioning Althoff about her interest in interviewing subjects, she revealed that she simply enjoys getting to know people on a deeper level. That response led him to ask why she wanted to chat with him; Althoff revealed that she didn’t have that same desire to learn about the former Migos member.

“Your team reached out to mine,” she said.

Offset quickly shuts her down. “Don’t cap, let’s not cap about that — flag on the play. Cap,” the entertainer replied.

The two exchange jabs, ultimately ending with Offset setting the record that she’s still relatively new in the industry. “They had to show me who Bobbi was. I thought they were talking about Bobby Boucher,” said Offset, referring to the fictional character played by Adam Sandler in the 1998 comedy film The Waterboy.

Althoff attempts to make a quippy comeback. “I never heard of you. I had to Google you,” Althoff interjected.

“I had to go on TikTok, I couldn’t even Google you,” Offset joked. “You’re not there yet. But you’ll be there. But you’re on TikTok.”

Offset & Bobbi Althoff Give Off Hilariously Awkward Energy In Interview Snippet

Moreover next guest is Offset, as she teased in a small snippet of their conversation that she uploaded to her TikTok page. In it, they debate how they actually linked up, jokingly bickering over who’s team reached out to who. Also, the viral interviewer answered the Georgia MC’s question about why she talks to people by saying she wants to get to know her guests. Funnily enough, when he asked why she wants to know him, Althoff said that she actually doesn’t.

“C-A-P. Flag on the play,” Offset comically responded to these remarks, and also to those about his team reaching out to her to set this up. Even though they don’t know how this happened, they still kept up an engaging, albeit cringeworthy, back and forth. To do so, they both stayed on the same wavelength. Of course, this might not match the now-infamous interview Bobbi Althoff did with Drake, which propelled her into viral fame in the hip-hop world. She actually ended up deleting the whole thing for unknown reasons, though many speculate that the 6 God had something to do with it. Hopefully, Offset is a better sport if this is true, because these have been pretty bizarre pieces of content that show an interesting side to these artists. Sure, that’s also come with a lot of hate, but name something on the Internet that hasn’t.

Drake Accused Of Getting Bobbi Althoff’s Interview Taken Down By New Fan Theory

A fan theory going around on TikTok has put forth the idea that Drake got his recent interview with Bobbi Althoff taken down. A user on the platform explained in a lengthy video that they think the reason he played an extended clip of Tyga’s “Rack City” during the interview was so it could be copyright struck afterward.

“Drake paid her travel to come to his location,” the TikToker, whose username is @PhotogSteve81, began. “Negotiated where his team would produce, film and control mostly everything about the podcast. He then goes on to play Tyga’s ‘Rack City.’ He specifically leaves it playing and airs a very long clip in the episode which now appears to have been his leverage he planted in the beginning.”

He further explained: “Drake’s team reached out to Universal Music Group which owns the rights to ‘Rack City’ and filed a copyright strike against Bobbi’s podcast. They filed it under the terms that YouTube has with Universal Music. This meant that all of the proceeds from the podcast would have to be turned over to Universal Music or Bobbi would be facing a very large lawsuit… Bobbi’s team, realizing they would not be able to monetize their biggest podcast in history, decided to pull the podcast.” Check out the full explanation of the theory below.

Later, the two unfollowed each other on Instagram and theories about their fallout began to spread online. While the aforementioned theory posits that “Rack City” was the center of the drama, Althoff sat down with Tyga for their own interview afterward. Other theories have suggested that Drake and Althoff hooked up, but she shot the idea down on Instagram.
