Tyson continued: “I don’t know what’s going to happen now. But, you know, it’s a strong possibility. Because, you know, Jamie’s closer to my age, so in order to do him, they were going to do what they did with [the movie] Benjamin Button. They were going to make him look younger.”

Foxx’s daughter, Corinne, initially confirmed that her father had been hospitalized in Atlanta back in April. In the following weeks, rumors were rampant about Foxx’s condition as the family made no further updates. Eventually, Corinne came forward to reveal that Foxx was doing better day by day but still didn’t explain the nature of his health scare. “Sad to see how the media runs wild. My dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support,” she wrote in an update on Instagram. “We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too!”

As for that “exciting work announcement,” the two announced they are currently developing a new game show called We Are Family. Foxx and his daughter previously worked together on the series, Beat Shazam. She was seen visiting him at the rehab facility in Chicago over the weekend. TMZ reports that Dave Brown was present as well.

Suge Knight Gives Details About Biopic Series

Suge Knight has had a fascinating career. Everyone knows him as the King of the West Coast scene. And of course, everyone is familiar with his long history of legal troubles. But did you know that Knight also played two games for the LA Rams as a replacement player during the 1987 NFL Players’ Strike?

However, despite currently residing in a California state prison, that hasn’t stopped Knight from planning his next project. In fact, in a move that rivals Game of Thrones and the TV juggernauts over at HBO, Knight is preparing a 10-season plan for a biopic series about his life to air on BLK Prime. It would be the first time Knight had created a project about his life, rather than be featured in other people’s stories.

Suge Knight Has A 10 Season Plan For Biopic

Speaking with TMZ from prison, Knight laid out his vision for the show. Suge Knight will be a 10-season epic chronicling every aspect of Knight’s life, with a Goodfellas-esque voiceover provided by Knight. The show will air on BLK Prime as early as this fall, with the streaming service promising not to sugarcoat the events of Knight’s life. In particular, Knight wanted to highlight the intentionally tough culture he fostered at Death Row Records. When speaking to TMZ, he said this culture was a holdover from his football days. Aside from that brief stint with the Rams, Knight played two seasons at UNLV.

So what is Knight’s plan for the show’s 10 seasons? According to Knight, Season 1 will focus on Tupac’s time at Death Row. That will be followed Biggie’s story, including his beef with Bad Boy, in Season 2. Season 3 will focus on Knight’s relationship with Diddy while Season 4 will focus on Dre and Season 5 on Snoop. N.W.A. and Eazy-E would be the focus of Season 6 with Season 7 expanding to look at the wider East Coast-West Coast rivalry. Season 8 would tackle the Crips and the Bloods before the show turned to Knight’s trial and incarceration in its final seasons. Are you excited about a Suge Knight biopic? What things do you want the show to cover? Most importantly, who do you think should play Knight and the other artists he wants to focus on?

Judge Mathis Clears Up Supposed “BMF” Beef With 50 Cent

Recently, some strife emerged in the world of “BMF” after it was announced that Judge Mathis would executive produce a biopic on “the First Lady of BMF,” Tonesa Welch. Moreover, 50 Cent took to Instagram to blast the Vivica A. Fox-directed film for some inaccuracies, particularly regarding Tonesa’s gang ties. “This should say 263, not BMF, @southwest263,” 50 wrote via an Instagram post. “What the f**k is this man! Vivica ugh, so [you’re] not gonna ever leave me alone hun? And what the f**k is Judge Mathis doing in this mix? I’m done, I’m done with all you n***as LOL.”

After that, the TV judge responded to the New York MC and business mogul with some Instagram comments of his own. “You my guy,” he clarified to Fif in his message. “Let Tonesa eat! The first lady of BMF. You know, I know Lala’s doing a hell of a job- but y’all haven’t fed Toni. I’m from Detroit, and they’re from Detroit- that’s how I’m involved. These are Detroiters, man. We cut from the same cloth. I respect you, man, I respect your work. Now, let us get some money.”

Judge Mathis Has No Ill Will Towards 50 Cent After Brief “BMF” Spat

Now, TMZ just shed some more light on the situation after they ran into Judge Mathis at the LAX airport. During their conversation, the 63-year-old said that he has no hard feelings towards 50 Cent for their small spat online. However, it seems like he still expressed excitement about continuing with his project and giving it the proper platform. Regardless about the technical details of the film’s title, Mathis stated he just wants to give Detroit and Tonesa some shine on the BET+ flick, which will premiere later this year.

Also, he made it clear that he doesn’t intend to beef with 50 Cent in the streets or anywhere, for that matter. In addition, Judge Mathis maintained that he doesn’t mind the “Many Men” artist’s jabs because they come from similar struggles and environments. Apparently, he showed TMZ his bullet wounds, and has a lot of respect for what 50 overcame. Regardless, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Judge Mathis, 50 Cent, and the BMF universe.

Teyana Taylor To Play Dionne Warwick In New Biopic

Teyana Taylor is a woman of many talents. She’s a singer, a dancer, a choreographer, and an actress. Her career has spanned more than a decade. In that time, she has worked with artists like Beyoncé, Pharrell, Jay-Z, and more. While she may not be a household name as an actress, she has certainly been in her fair share of films and TV shows. Now, it seems that she is set to play the legendary Dionne Warwick in a new biopic that Taylor herself is helping to develop.

Oddly enough, Teyana Taylor got her start in film on the now-defunct MTV reality show, My Super Sweet Sixteen. The show featured extremely rich teens planning and executing their perfect sixteenth birthday parties. It was certainly a product of its time, as the flaunting of extreme wealth is generally frowned upon these days. Since then, Taylor has worked in many artistic mediums and proven herself to be a talented, multi-faceted artist. Through a friendship with Pharrell Williams, she was able to begin her music career and has now released three albums. Taylor has also continued to act, albeit mainly in more independent films. However, she recently starred in the drama A Thousand and One, a film that gives her talent a chance to really shine. With the new biopic in the works, it appears that Taylor might be setting herself up to be one of the new leading ladies in Hollywood.

Teyana Taylor isn’t just winging it when it comes to playing the iconic Dionne Warwick. In an interview with The Tamron Hall Show, Taylor makes it clear that she wants to do right by Warwick and tell the story as it should be told. In fact, she says that she and Warwick talk all the time. “We talk almost every day,” said Taylor. “That’s my girl.”

In contrast to many biopics, Teyana Taylor wants to make sure nothing is more dramatized than it needs to be. She believes the story should be a truthful representation of the events of Warwick’s life. “A lot of these stories get misconstrued or dramatized to an extent,” Taylor clarified. “That’s not really where we want to go.” What do you think about this casting? Is Teyana Taylor the right choice to play the iconic Dionne Warwick? Let us know in the comments!

Gabrielle Union Reveals Who She’d Want To Play Her In A Biopic

Gabrielle Union says that she’d want Ryan Destiny or Coco Jones to play her in a biopic about her life. If the story were to take place at an older age, she’d go with Ashanti or Janet Jackson. Union discussed the hypothetical casting during a recent interview with Hello Beautiful. For the piece, Union spoke with the creator of the MeToo movement, Tarana Burke.

“I think young me would be somewhere between Ryan Destiny, Coco Jones,” Gabrielle Union said when asked for a casting. “And then older me? I’d say Janet. Maybe Ashanti could play me in my 30s, early 40s—and then Miss Janet.”

The interview comes amid Union’s appearance in season three of Apple TV+’s true crime drama Truth Be Told. The iconic actress plays Eva, a high school principal driven by raising awareness for missing Black girls in her community. Speaking with the outlet, Union explained that she was looking to take on more light-hearted roles at the time she was cast. However, she says that she trusts Octavia Spencer, who stars in the series, and decided to take on the role for her.

“After The Inspection tapped into darkness in me, I wasn’t prepared to confront it (in a healthy way). I was still reeling and unwinding from that. I was like, ‘I can’t do any more darkness, but I can coast through some comedies, so please let’s concentrate on comedies for 2022,’” Union recalled.

She continued: “My team was like, ‘I know you want to concentrate on comedies but we have this offer to do season three of Truth Be Told with Octavia. We know you guys are friends, but we just think this subject matter is something you might be interested in.’ Octavia must have hit me right after that, and we talked a bit. We have been trying to work together again for over 20 years. I trust her in a way that I don’t trust most people in this town in our industry, which is saying a lot. So if I was gonna do it, it would need to be with someone I trust, like Octavia.”

Michael Jackson Biopic “Will Glorify A Man Who Raped Children,” “Leaving Neverland” Director Says

A biopic on Michael Jackson is officially on the way. However, it appears that a film surrounding the life and times of the King Of Pop is already facing backlash. Leaving Neverland director Dan Reed published an op-ed in The Guardian where he slammed Lionsgate for moving forward with the film. The title of his op-ed reads, “This new Michael Jackson biopic will glorify a man who abused children.”

Reed’s op-ed not only criticized Lionsgate but also, the press for the “gentle raising of eyebrows” surrounding the film. The comment was made in response to The Hollywood Reporter which reported that the film will “address all aspects of Jackson’s life, though it is unclear how the film will address the many controversies involving” the singer.  “No one is talking about ‘cancelling’ this movie, which will glorify a man who raped children,” he wrote. From there, he directed a question to the filmmakers involved, including director Antoine Fuqua.

“How will you represent the moment when Jackson, a grown man in his 30s, takes a child by the hand and leads him into that bedroom? How will you depict what happens next? By sidestepping the question of Jackson’s predilection for sleeping with young boys, you are broadcasting a message to millions of survivors of child sexual abuse. That message is: if a pedophile is rich and popular enough, society will forgive him.”

At this point, there aren’t many details surrounding the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic. However, Lionsgate confirmed it was in the works. Shortly after, Fuqua confirmed Jackson’s nephew, Jaafar Jackson, would take on the role of the late pop star.

Reed left people devastated when Leaving Neverland debuted in 2019. The four-hour documentary explored the stories of Wade Robson and James Safechuck and their relationship with Jackson. Though Robson previously testified on Jackson’s behalf, leading to his 2008 acquittal, he later said that he lied to protect his mentor and abuser.

Leaving Neverland ultimately went on to win a Creative Arts Emmy for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Special. The documentary marked the first time when Jackson’s accusers spoke publicly about the alleged abuse they experienced. We’ll keep you posted on any more updates surrounding the biopic.

Madonna Biopic Axed After World Tour Announcement

If you are excited about seeing a film about the life and adventures of Madonna, you’ll have to wait. Details about the famed music icon’s biographical film emerged last year when it was rumored that Julia Fox was up for a role. The actress also spoke on meeting Madonna—whom she was famously photographed with alongside Kanye West. However, Variety reports that the anticipated film has been scrapped now that the singer has decided to embark on a world tour.

By now, the industry recognizes that Madonna moves and shakes as she pleases. So, it doesn’t necessarily come as a surprise that although her biopic already cast its lead, Julia Garner, it was tossed.

To celebrate 40 years in music, Madonna will be taking to stages across the globe. Several cities sold out in minutes, including Paris, New York, and London. Variety spoke with sources who shared that Madonna still wants to produce a biopic, but at the moment, she’s keenly focused on her tour.

The 35-city trek is slated to begin on July 15.

Meanwhile, it’s reported that Madonna made sure Garner secured the top role in her film. In July 2022, the singer detailed what it was like writing the script. She likened the experience to “hacking of my limbs.”

“I have a very long script that is really hard for me to make shorter. I’ve been whittling away at it, but it’s like hacking off my limbs,” she said while also revealing why she decided to make the leap and release a biopic.

“I’ve had an extraordinary life, I must make an extraordinary film. It was also a preemptive strike because a lot of people were trying to make movies about me,” she further stated. “Mostly misogynistic men. So, I put my foot in the door and said, ‘No one’s going to tell my story but me.”
