Beyonce Gives Merch To Fans Outside After Making Music History With Barcelona “RENAISSANCE” Concert

Beyonce’s generosity truly knows no bounds. Since embarking on her RENAISSANCE World Tour earlier this spring, the “Diva” hitmaker has shared the “AMERICA HAS A PROBLEM” remix with Kendrick Lamar and announced her venture into the hair industry. On top of that, she’s also shared the stage with her eldest daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, on numerous occasions now, including on Thursday (June 8) evening in Barcelona, Spain. With each and every performance, Bey and Jay-Z’s firstborn only continues to get better, and the whole family couldn’t be more proud.

Following the show, Queen B surprised patrons once again. This time she stepped outside to hand some of them merchandise while thanking them for coming to see her perform. It was only a small group who had the opportunity to get up close and personal with the Houston native and Julius, her beloved security guard. They caught the wholesome moment on camera, and it’s since been making waves on Twitter where people have shared mixed reactions.

Queen B Takes Care of the BeyHive

Many are pleased to see Beyonce – one of the biggest names in music – being so humble and gracious, but of course there were still haters. Above all else, those who came face to face with the Grammy Award winner are being slammed the most for rudely demanding a photo with Bey as she handed them their free gifts. “It’s giving Princess Jasmine when she goes to the village and gives the apple,” one Twitter user wrote, referencing Disney’s Aladdin. “‘Cause they were acting starved af,” they added. Others hilariously compared the Destiny’s Child alum to well-known figures such as Robin Hood and Mother Theresa.

Aside from doing a good deed in Spain, Beyonce also broke a record in the country after 53,000 attended her sold-out stadium show. As That Grape Juice reports, this means the industry icon now proudly holds the title for the most attended concert by a solo female artist in Spanish history.

Beyonce Handles “RENAISSANCE” Wardrobe Malfunction Like A Pro During London Tour Stop

There’s a reason why some of Beyonce’s fans have paid serious money to see her perform live upwards of 30 times – she’s a true professional. While most of the Houston native’s concerts go off without a hitch, when things do happen, she handles them exactly as you’d expect her to. During Queen B’s final night in London on the RENAISSANCE World Tour she experienced a wardrobe malfunction in the midst of “AMERICA HAS A PROBLEM,” but she cooly played it off and continued to dance along to the fan favourite track.

It was the mother of three’s first time donning the outfit for the song (we’ve already seen countless wardrobe changes from Bey, and she hasn’t even hit the US yet), and her hat nearly slid off her head while she was focusing on her fancy footwork. Thankfully she caught it before it could fall, and continued on with the choreography while holding it in place as if that was what she had intended all along. Of course, fans in the audience caught the moment on camera, and TikTok has seen been having a field jay cracking jokes.

Beyonce’s Final Night in London

“She’s gonna fire that hat,” one user quipped in the comments. “Someone’s getting fired for not pinning that hat down 😂,” another added, poking fun at the extreme seriousness of Beyonce’s Virgo nature. “Didn’t she rehearse with the hat?? Why wait until on stage to test???” someone else asked.

Regardless of the minor slip-up, some feel that the “Halo” hitmaker’s final night in London may have been her best work on the RENAISSANCE World Tour so far. Her next show is set for later this week in Barcelona, Spain, and we can’t wait to see what stage looks she has in store then.

Beyoncé’s Movie Performances, Ranked

Over the decades, Beyonce has solidified herself as a generational talent. The singer and performer has continued to turn heads with her voice and stage performances as we’ve seen with the Renaissance World Tour. However, Beyonce’s ventures into movies have also proved quite successful. While her film projects pale in comparison to her work as a musician, they are still worth celebrating.

To date, Beyonce has starred in nine feature-length movies. These projects have ranged from hilarious comedies to musical dramas, animated blockbusters, and even a romantic thriller. Beyoncé’s acting is far from one-dimensional, as she has shown off her range on multiple occasions. She also has the honor of starring in the highest-grossing animated film of all time — The Lion King.

Beyonce’s experience as a visual artist far extends beyond her movies as well. She has garnered a solid reputation for her storytelling music videos that have served as accompaniments to her acclaimed discography. Her visual albums Beyoncé, Lemonade, and Black Is King have received near-unanimous praise for their style, flair, and vulnerability.

This is a ranking of Beyonce’s best performances in movies, and not the movies themselves. However, it’s important to note that her visual albums and documentary film, Homecoming, are not a part of this compilation.

9. Epic (2013)

In the animated fantasy film Epic, Beyoncé had just a few minutes of time to voice her character Queen Tara. The film did perform well critically and commercially, but the star didn’t have enough room to shine in the film. After appearing in the early moments of the film, she was gone with the wind. Beyoncé did, however, perform an original song, “Rise Up”, which she co-wrote with Sia for the movie. The song was praised for its delicate nature and inspiring lyrics. Furthermore, she scored a nomination for Outstanding Voice Performance at the Black Reel Awards.

8. The Pink Panther (2006)

The Pink Panther was a commercial success despite its negative reviews. Beyoncé had a supporting role in the movie as Xania, a pop star who is a suspect in the theft of the titular diamond. Although her acting was quite good, it wasn’t enough to save the film from its overwhelming criticisms. A number of notable stars starred in the film, including Steve Martin in the lead role, as well as Kevin Kline, Henry Czerny, Kristin Chenoweth, Jason Statham, and more. In typical fashion, Beyoncé performed music for the film. While The Pink Panther isn’t one of her more praised projects, her number one single “Check On It” off the film’s soundtrack quickly became a fan-favorite track in her discography.

7. The Lion King (2019)

In the 2019 remake of the animated classic The Lion King, Beyoncé voiced the character Nala. The star was joined by an ensemble cast of talented stars, including Donald Glover as Simba. Not only is The Lion King the highest-grossing film in Beyoncé’s filmography, but it also surpassed Frozen as the highest-grossing animated film of all time. While the film received mixed reviews, its music was praised.

6. Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002)

Austin Powers In Goldmember marked Beyoncé’s theatrical film debut. The spy comedy continued to parody James Bond in the third installment of the movie series, while Beyoncé was introduced as the titular character’s latest sidekick, Foxxy Cleopatra. Her character was a smart and sexy counterpart to Powers’ dim-witted persona. She also lent her voice to the soundtrack, singing the retro, funky number “Work It Out”. The single, which serves as Beyoncé’s official debut solo track, was lauded for its 1970s-inspired sound, and her sensual vocals.

5. Carmen: A Hip Hopera (2001)

Beyoncé landed her acting debut in the musical romantic drama Carmen: A Hip Hopera. The television film reimagines the famous opera Carmen in modern times. Carmen follows the titular character, played by Beyoncé, a seductive aspiring actress on the journey to fame when she encounters a man named Derek, played by Mekhi Phifer. Several notable Hip Hop and R&B stars also starred in the film, including: Wyclef Jean, Da Brat, Rah Digga, and more.

4. Obsessed (2009)

Obsessed may have been panned by critics, but Beyoncé’s acting was favorably received by fans. The climactic fight scene towards the end of the movie was particularly praised, later winning the MTV Movie Award for Best Fight. Obsessed is one of Beyoncé’s more financially successful films as well, pulling in over three times its budget at the box office. Obsessed is also notable for being the only film Beyoncé starred in where she did not perform a song for the soundtrack.

3. The Fighting Temptations (2003)

Beyoncé’s film appearances almost always include utilizing her signature voice to some extent. In The Fighting Temptations, her second theatrical release after Austin Powers in Goldmember, she was the star focus as she co-starred alongside Cuba Good Jr. as Lilly. The film is noted for its ensemble cast, which featured Mike Epps, Angie Stone, and more. A major focus of great praise for the film was its soundtrack, specifically Beyoncé’s cover of Little Willie John’s “Fever.” She sang numerous songs on the soundtrack, as a solo artist and as a member of Destiny’s Child.

2. Dreamgirls (2006)

Perhaps the most acclaimed of all the movies in Beyonce’s catalog is Dreamgirls. The Oscar-winning movie was lauded for its stellar acting, direction, and musical numbers. The song, “Listen”, which was performed by Beyoncé, earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song. With an ensemble cast of talented stars on the project, Beyoncé held her own in a tale that captured the evolution of soul music and R&B. Her acting, as well as her song and dance numbers were packed with tons of emotion and flair, and scored her a Best Supporting Actress nod at the Golden Globe Awards.

1. Cadillac Records (2008)

Cadillac Records has flown under the radar in recent times, but it’s undeniably a showcase of Beyoncé’s strengths as an actor. In the musical biographical film, she starred as world-renowned singer Etta James. Cadillac Records is set between the 1940s and 1960s and chronicles the successful Chess Records under the management of Leonard Chess. Beyoncé’s cover of James’ “At Last” attracted praise and she earned a nomination at the NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress.

Big Freedia: All About The New Orleans Bounce Icon

Freddie Ross, popularly known as Big Freedia, is a New Orleans legend and Bounce music icon. Also known by the moniker Queen Diva, she has cemented her place in the popular subgenre of Hip Hop. Big Freedia is known for her high-octane live performances, energetic songs, and music videos. Her reality TV show and multiple business ventures have also gained many fans.

Big Freedia has also collaborated with numerous artists, including Drake, Lizzo, Boyz II Men, Kesha, and more. By far, her most notable collabs have been with Beyoncé, who sampled her voice on two Grammy-winning hits — “Formation” and “Break My Soul.” Her collabs have also served to make Bounce music more mainstream. The legend has raised the landscape of the signature New Orleans sound. Her advocacy and unapologetic self-expression have secured a host of fans who have stood by the icon through it all.

Big Freedia’s Early Days & Rise To Fame

Big Freedia grew up on gospel music and frequently sang in her neighborhood church choir. Her mother’s influence introduced her to secular music, particularly disco. Big Freedia’s introduction to Bounce music came in the late ’90s, and she would soon begin to dance and sing backup for Katey Red, one of the earliest queer Bounce performers.

From 1999 to 2009, Big Freedia was one of the most hardworking Bounce artists in New Orleans. She brought exposure to the genre after Hurricane Katrina hit by performing in Texas, where she settled for months. With the resurgence of the club scene after the hurricane, Big Freedia became a local icon, performing multiple times a week to massive crowds and revitalizing the city.

In 2010, Big Freedia released the album Big Freedia Hitz Vol. 1, which featured previously performed songs. The single “Azz Everywhere” became a hit and is one of her most popular songs. Throughout the 2010s, Big Freedia enjoyed great fame and headlined several concerts, including the annual Anniversary of Bounce in its fourth and fifth years.

Big Freedia was famously sampled on Beyoncé’s hit song “Formation” in 2016, and her voice was used to open the Formation World Tour. During the New Orleans show, Beyoncé brought her out on stage to introduce the show.

Big Freedia: Queen Of Bounce

It wasn’t long before Big Freedia’s energetic songs and videos, and larger than life personality, became reality TV gold. The Big Freedia Bounces Back series premiered on Fuse in October 2013. It ran for six seasons and 47 episodes until 2017 and followed the artist’s personal and professional life. The show also featured a Guinness World Record feat of 406 people twerking simultaneously at her show in New York.

While Big Freedia Bounces Back mostly featured tons of coverage about her stardom, songs, and music videos, the show didn’t shy away from the emotional. Big Freedia’s mother, Vera, died of cancer, and the artist sent her off in a beautiful street-wide funeral.

Personal Life & LGBTQ Advocacy

Big Freedia has never been shy about expressing herself through her videos, makeup, wigs, and dance performances. Though born male, the artist has stated that she is gender non-conforming and nonbinary.  On the use of pronouns, she has been vocally indifferent on numerous occasions. She expressed this once again in a conversation with The Root in 2020.

“How do I identify? I do not mind if you call me ‘he’ or ‘she.’ Both are right!” she said. “I was born male and remain male—physically, hormonally, and mentally. But I am a gay male…I’m gender non-conforming, fluid, and nonbinary. If I had known the ‘queen’ in Queen Diva would cause so much confusion, I might have called myself the king!” she continued.

On the subject of her voice being used by several notable artists, she once shared that it all opens doors for others in the LGBTQ community. Big Freedia is widely regarded as a queer icon and an unapologetic hero. Her fan base is largely women and members of the LGBTQ community, and she has always been vocal on the topic of gender identity being on a spectrum.

Other Ventures

As an author, Big Freedia released the acclaimed memoir Big Freedia: God Save the Queen Diva! The 2015 book covers many important moments in the artist’s life, including her epic rise to fame. Big Freedia is also vocal about gun control. She starred in the documentary Freedia Got a Gun, which focuses on gun violence and its repercussions. The inspiration for the film came after she lost her brother Adam Ross to gun violence in 2018. Freedia Got a Gun won the Award for Freedom at the Outfest Film Festival, which promotes LGBTQ films.

On June 7, 2023, the artist will return to reality TV with the new series Big Freedia Means Business. The show, also airing on Fuse, will focus on all the many new and exciting chapters in her life. The Bounce music icon will cover her new hotel ventures, a cannabis line, an eyewear and makeup line, and a record label.

From her incredible success in showcasing Bounce music to the rest of the world to becoming a revered icon in her hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana, Big Freedia’s career is packed with several significant moments. The Queen Diva has shown no signs of slowing down and is expressing herself through several more means in the 2020s decade.

Ariana Grande Attends “Renaissance” Tour In London Amid Beyonce Collab Rumors

Could Beyonce and Ariana Grande really be gearing up for a collaboration? Both artists have certainly had their hands full lately. Ariana has been very busy with her return to acting. The pop star is currently filming her part in the film adaptation of the Broadway musical, Wicked. She has not released any of her own new music for several years, but fans were treated to a collab with The Weeknd back in February. The singer hopped onto Abel’s hit song “Die For You.” While Ariana may not be planning to drop her own new album anytime soon, it looks like another collab is in the making.

Beyonce has been quite busy herself. She recently embarked on her “Renaissance” Tour, and she’s been making headlines practically every day since. On opening night, fans went absolutely wild. One of them even got arrested for trying to sneak into a VIP area. If there is one fanbase you can count on to be over the top, it’s the Beyhive. The fans’ antics aren’t the only thing the tour is making headlines for, however. Almost every single tour date thus far has been a veritable who’s who of celebrities. Big names have been showing up in droves to support Beyonce. One of those names just happens to be Ariana Grande. In a video posted by a fan, the pop star can be seen at one of the London stops for the “Renaissance” Tour. Of course, this only lends more credence to the rumors of a collaboration.

Beyonce’s Collaborations Continue

Beyonce fans know at this point that they should expect the unexpected. Since the artist released her latest album last year, fans have been eagerly anticipating visual content. Visuals have always played a significant role in any album released by the legendary artist. It’s no wonder that the primary question on fans’ minds has been, “Where are the visuals?” Interestingly, Beyoncé provided a clever response to this question during a segment of her performance. In the introduction to “Formation,” a narrator’s voice-over is accompanied by the words displayed on large screens. The disembodied voice humorously states, “I know you hear me. You’ve asked for the visuals. You’ve called for the queen, but a queen moves at her own pace, b*tch.”

However, it appears that Beyonce still has some surprises in store for her fans after all. Recently, she unexpectedly released a remix of “America Has A Problem,” offering an exciting addition to her repertoire. The remix featured Kendrick Lamar, who previously collaborated with Beyonce on her Lemonade album. Given the release, it’s no surprise that people are speculating on further remix releases. How many there are in the works remains to be seen. However, it would not be out of character for Beyonce to drop more in the coming weeks without any annoucnements whatsoever. Stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news on Beyonce and all things hip-hop.

Beyonce’s Latest “RENAISSANCE” Tour Photo Dump Shows How Proud She Is Of Blue Ivy Carter

The RENAISSANCE World Tour is an unbelievably big moment for Beyonce, but she’s been remaining humble throughout it all. Of course, the Houston native is stepping out in glamorous outfits and proving that her vocals only get better with age, but she’s also been applauding the BeyHive for showing out in their own ways too. Aside from that, recent performances have also seen Bey tapping her eldest daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, to join her on the stadium stage.

For an 11-year-old, the young girl held her own remarkably well and proved that she definitely inherited some of her parent’s skills. Nevertheless, hate still poured out from internet trolls, many of them accusing Blue of moving too stiffly. The comments clearly haven’t gotten to her, as Beyonce’s daughter has since joined her for three more concerts, each of which has seen nepo baby steadily grow in her confidence and capabilities. On Saturday (June 3), the Destiny’s Child alumn’s Instagram feed lit up with a new dump of photos – one of which perfectly captures the mother-daughter duo in their element.

Beyonce kicks things off with a glamorous look at one of her costumes – a curve-hugging black dress with a hip-height leg slit. Afterward, the singer shows off her custom earrings, which spell “RENAISSANCE” vertically down each ear. Midway through the post, the southern starlet transitions into a sultry red look before closing out with an image of her and Blue Ivy.

While her and Jay-Z’s daughter stands on a platform, fist proudly risen in the air after nailing her routine, Queen B watches on from behind. The pride clearly runs in the family, as Blue’s grandmother also dedicated a post to her on IG, praising her kin’s hard work and cool new hairstyle.

Beyonce, Rihanna Make The List Of Forbes’ Richest Self-Made Women

Forbes recently released its Richest Self-Made Women list. While the list was not limited to entertainers, it featured several popular musicians who claimed high-ranking spots. Unsurprisingly, big names like Beyonce, Rihanna, and Taylor Swift made the list. In addition to a number ranking, each entry on the list has a “self-made score.” Leading the pack among musicians was Rihanna. She was ranked at No. 20. Besides headlining the Super Bowl, she has seen tremendous success with her Fenty Beauty brand. Reportedly, it has doubled in value. In addition, Rihanna has her Savage x Fenty lingerie company. With a reported net worth of $1.4 billion and a self-made score of 10, Rihanna’s entrepreneurial ventures have contributed significantly to her wealth.

Following closely behind Rihanna at No. 34 is Taylor Swift. The pop singer has a net worth of $740 million. Swift is expected to earn even more with her record-breaking Eras Tour. A Latin American leg was recently announced. However, the tour has also faced controversy due to the highly publicized Ticketmaster dispute. In addition to her music ventures, Swift is also making her way into feature directing. This marks her first foray into this role.

Lizzo Wanted To ‘Quit Music And Just Disappear,’ But Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance’ Helped After Seeing ‘Mean Sh*t’ About Herself Online

Yesterday (May 31), Lizzo shared her frustrations about people online commenting about her size, specifically in response to one person who wrote, “How is Lizzo still THIS fat when she’s constantly moving this much on stage?! I wonder what she must be eating.” Now, she’s spoken more on the matter via TikTok.

A new video from Lizzo shared yesterday (May 31) starts with her walking on a treadmill as songs from Beyoncé’s Renaissance album play. After that, Lizzo says, “Today was one of those days where I was very angry, very angry at the world. Saw a lot of mean sh*t about me on the internet, and I wanted to give up. There are days where the hate outweighs the love so badly that I want to quit music and just disappear. I definitely have enough money to go and buy a farm and just never f*ck with anybody ever again, because f*ck everybody. Then, I reminded myself to get up, get out, and get some sun, and I put on Renaissance.”
