Shaq Gets Dragged For His Creepy Comments Towards Angel Reese

Shaquille O’Neal was the most recent guest on Angel Reese’s Unapologetically Angel podcast, and it led to a pretty awkward moment to witness during their discussion. At one point, Shaq starts to talk about Angel’s shorts that she wore for a Wild ‘N Out event, and suggested that she should dunk in them to sell more T-shirts. The WNBA start was visibly uncomfortable about this sexualization, but Shaq didn’t pick up on her body language and continued his remarks. This resulted in a lot of backlash and controversy on social media, with fans cringing at the exchange and calling out this seemingly creepy behavior.

Of course, maybe this is all just out of context and fans are making a fuss about nothing too serious. Perhaps Angel Reese and Shaquille O’Neal laughed about it afterwards, but from what you can see in the video below, it wasn’t a topic she really wanted to discuss at all. After all, Reese has enough on her plate to deal with on the gossip train without another antic-heavy headline to add to the pile. She recently commented on how her WNBA salary allegedly doesn’t even cover her rent.

Shaq & Angel Reese’s Awkward Podcast Interaction: See Comments For Reactions

This prompted Cam’ron to give Angel Reese some advice on this matter on his It Is What It Is show, albeit after joking about her remarks at first. “I’m having fun a little but seriously, make sure that you stay on top of all that because you’re young, you’re pretty, you have a lot going on,” he shared. “Outside of the WNBA I’m pretty sure you have a lot of money coming in endorsements. Don’t take it for granted and don’t sit here and think that it’s going to last forever because you’re still young, you have a lot of time. Make sure you watch your money.”

Elsewhere, Shaq also dealt with some drama this year after he slid into the DMs of Toosii’s girlfriend. The rapper actually thought that the former basketball player was talking about his son in his message, but was actually referring to just lusting for his girl. Let’s see if he speaks on these comments…

Savannah James Reveals Why She Doesn’t Like The Term “Wifey” While Discussing Side Chicks

Savannah James provides some keen insight into her family dynamics from time to time, but she can also speak generally about relationships. Moreover, she recently spoke on the difference between terms like “wifey,” “side chick,” and “sneaky link” on the latest episode of her weekly Everybody’s Crazy podcast with April McDaniel. In fact, LeBron James’ wife didn’t think there was a difference between being a side chick and being a sneaky link until someone else clarified it. Most interestingly, though, she went on a small rant about how she despises the term “wifey,” presumably from how she described it as a minimizing and diminutive way to refer to a marriage.

“Nothing,” Savannah James responded to a question about what the difference between a side chick and a sneaky link is. “[Nothing] to me. Young people, help us, we old,” she added. Then, an off-camera participant explained that a side chick is someone that a man’s main partner knows about, whereas the partner does not know about the sneaky link. “Oh!” Bronny’s mom exclaimed. “Just be single,” she continued as her co-host agreed.

Savannah James Explains Why She Loathes “Wifey”

“[The main chick know about the side chick] is wild,” Savannah James went on. “It’s too much, just, it’s stressful to even be talking about.” “I don’t want to be ‘wifey,’ I don’t want to be nothing, I want to be the wife,” McDaniel posited. “Ooh!” Savannah cried out while balling up her first. “Ooh! When I tell you I hate, loathe ‘wifey’ with my whole entire soul. Because, n***a, don’t – Oop! I’m sorry, I’m sorry. *laughs* I’m sorry. Don’t call me your wifey when I’m not… I’m not. I had to politely tell my husband back in the day. You think you know, but you have no idea.”

Meanwhile, there’s a theory running around the Internet that LeBron and Savannah James are beefing with Drake. Joe Budden seems to think so, and a lot of other people are looking at mixed signals about their movement in relation to each other. Of course, that’s all just a load of gossip, so we’ll see if anything comes of it. At least we know that if any of these terms rub Savannah the wrong way, that’s when the real drama will come.

Team USA Wins Gold In Olympic Basketball Final Against France

After months and, to be frank, years of build-up, speculation, hard work, and determination, the United States of America just earned their fifth-straight Olympic gold medal in men’s basketball after defeating the Victor Wembanyana-led French team 98 to 87 on Saturday (August 10). Moreover, this team comprised of LeBron James, Anthony Edwards, Devin Booker, Bam Adebayo, Joel Embiid, and more superstars were heavy favorites to win, but most importantly, they and their opponents gave some truly great displays of the game. Steph Curry, in his first Olympic appearance, clutched some staggering shots across this game and previous ones, pushing his team to victory.

Another big name to mention in all this is Kevin Durant, who became the first player to win four gold medals in men’s Olympic basketball history. Along with being the highest point-scorer in U.S. Olympic history, this sets him apart as among the most decorated, if not the most decorated, U.S. basketball player ever at these events. Of course, once you go on Twitter to take a look at highlights, a lot of people are deservedly giving KD’s former Warriors teammate his due flowers. But everyone on Team USA (sorry, Kawhi) should be very proud of what they achieved in Paris this year.

Team USA Men’s Basketball Wins 2024 Olympic Gold And KD Shines As An Olympian

Elsewhere, the Olympics have been a pretty interesting affair beyond the hype for Team USA Basketball… and if you’re a hip-hop fan, they’ve been pretty divisive. Breakdancing made its debut as an Olympic event this year, and some of the showcases (in particular, some viral moves from Australian representative Raygun) were… Is embarrassing the right word? It’s funny because there were some really great breakdancers there, and it’s great to see the tradition represented at this massive global scale. But its separation from hip-hop and Black culture at large at these events, plus the less-than-impressive performances, make it a tougher pill to swallow.

Well, at least Snoop Dogg was there to represent the culture, too. Nevertheless, if you’re a basketball fan, and even if you’re a Team USA hater, there were some great moments to witness during the 2024 Olympics. Congratulations to Curry and company for their victory, and to all the teams for giving it their all. Will France come back in four years’ time, will the U.S. keep their dominance, or will a new challenger like Serbia challenge for gold? We shall see…

Angel Reese Divulges On Ground Slam During Game: “It’s Just Basketball”

Angel Reese received a very hard foul from Alyssa Thomas during the Chicago Sky’s game against the Connecticut Sun, which has caused a lot of conversation. In fact, it was an immediate point of contention and scrutiny in the game itself, as the refs ejected Thomas after the foul. However, its recipient reminded folks that basketball is just an obviously physical and hard-fought sport, and that not every blow struck has intentions of representing actual animosity. During the post-game interview and a simple tweet after the game, Reese cleared the air on the Thomas foul and gave her props for keeping things competitive and earnest.

“Not just ’cause I’m a rookie, I’m a player,” Angel Reese told reporters at the crowd during the Chicago Sky’s post-game conference. “I’m a basketball player, they don’t give a damn if I’m a rookie. I mean, I want them to come at me every day, I want them to come at everybody. I mean, they’re not supposed to be nice to me, I hope y’all know that. They’re not supposed to be nice to me or lay down because I’m Angel Reese or ’cause I’m a rookie. Like, thank you AT for sending the message to me, because I got back up and I kept going and kept pushing. Like, me and AT have been cool since we were in Maryland, so I know it’s not no hard feelings. I appreciate her for going at me every day. Or today.”

Elsewhere, though, Angel Reese is making it somewhat clear who she rocks with in basketball and who she doesn’t. We say “somewhat” because some fans thought that her shots at Charles Barkley equally applied to Caitlin Clark. As two of the biggest stars in women’s basketball right now, it’s natural for some competitive rivalry to form. But right now, it’s very hard to call whether that’s a media-fabricated narrative or a legit one.

Regardless, Angel Reese is rising high and fast, invoking the memory of Kobe Bryant when she got the chance to hold the Larry O’Brien trophy recently. There is seemingly no ceiling for her, and the outrage around this foul points to her superstar status. Hopefully these athletes can continue to keep competition passionate, interesting, and hard-fought without risking injury too much. At the end of the day, sports don’t need excessive contact for them to cause some scary scuffles every once in a while.

Bronny James’ Draft Outlook Gets Sobering Update From ESPN

Bronny James declared for the NBA draft early this month, opting to leave USC after this freshman season. Bronny had a less-than-stellar freshman season and is opting to bet on himself to make it to the NBA. It is more likely that Bronny won’t be selected in the 2024 NBA Draft. The latest ESPN Mock draft has Bronny embarrassingly going undrafted. While it’s just a mock draft, it represents many scouts’ opinions of Bronny. He didn’t put up spectacular numbers as a freshman, and while there’s obvious talent, there isn’t enough evidence to draft him.

Many believe he should go back to school, but that might not be a bad idea. Going back to school, he could show that his freshman season was a fluke and that he is the real deal. Additionally, there’s a possibility that even if he goes undrafted, he will try to grind it out and make an NBA roster via the G-League. Bronny is LeBron’s son, so he will most likely get a thorough look this summer as the combine approaches and draft workouts take place. Still, it’s pretty demoralizing not even being considered worth using a second-round pick on.

Bronny James Might Be Left Undrafted

Bronny James averaged 4.8 points per game on 36.6% shooting from the field, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 25 games. He displayed energy and athleticism on defense but was not very effective when he was on the course. Some believe Bronny still has the potential to be an impactful player at the next level. In high school, Bronny was a knockdown shooter with great defensive instincts. You will always have a place in the league if you can defend and hit threes in the NBA. He will get the opportunity to go up against his fellow draft hopefuls, and it may push him up some draft boards enough for a team to pick him in the second round.

Bronny had a turbulent freshman season at USC. He suffered from cardiac arrest during the Triojans summer workouts, putting his playing career in doubt. He recovered strong and was able to make his debut for USC four months after his heart surgery. Bronny didn’t get a complete off-season to get acclimated to college. He made his debut and had to learn on the fly on a team that wasn’t very good. Bronny will for sure get a shot at the NBA. He may end up going back to college for another year, but the NBA will always be the endgame for Bronny.

Travis Scott Supports Caitlin Clark At Iowa Game

Caitlin Clark blossomed into one of the biggest stars in NCAA basketball, and Travis Scott lent his stamp of support. Moreover, he pulled up to Iowa to watch the Hawkeyes recently, and a video shows him carrying around a box of his Cacti seltzer and greeting Jake from State Farm. For those unaware, Clark recently became the leading scorer in WBB and NCAA Division I history, and both the sports world and pop culture at large celebrated her achievement. It’s been amazing to see the Des Moines native’s career opportunities blossom since, although she wants to stay grounded in her game and focus on her current development.

“I was watching her the summer going into her senior year,” Kevin Durant recently said of Caitlin Clark. “I was in Chicago and happened to see the AAU Girls Nationals. She was in the U-17 Championship. They played together so smooth but she was always leading that s**t. She always had the ball in her hands, everybody was playing off her.” From both a talent and visibility perspective, it’s no wonder that folks like Travis Scott want to see the magic happen in person.

Travis Scott Arrives At Caitlin Clark’s Iowa Game

However, we know that La Flame is a pretty big sports fan as it stands, so he’s down to support whoever’s got the talent regardless of recognition. What’s more is that he’s making strides to expand his reach in athletics and contribute positively to the community. For example, Travis Scott recently threw the first pitch at his new Cacti Park baseball stadium, which is a training facility that will host training games. That’s just the start, though, as we could definitely see it becoming a larger venue in the future.

Meanwhile, with the 22-year-old basketball player declaring for the WNBA draft recently, we can’t wait to see where her skills take her. Similarly, the Houston rapper will definitely keep stamping his influence and popularity in the sports world for years to come. Maybe they link up again sometime in the future. On that note, stick around on HNHH for the latest news and more updates on Travis Scott and Caitlin Clark.
