However, the Barbz in particular have gone absolutely wild for the video. Some praised Hathaway for her taste, others for her dance moves. Meanwhile, a number of other fans have pointed to it as evidence of Minaj’s legacy.

Of course, it’s been a rough couple weeks for Minaj. After being shaded on Megan Thee Stallion’s “HISS”, Minaj hit back with a diss track of her own, “Big Foot“. Nicki Minaj Shows Love To Chris Brown, Fans Want To See Him On “Pink Friday 2” Tour

Meanwhile, Minaj had nothing but love when responding to a video of Chris Brown playing “FTCU” for one of his dancers at a recent concert. “This is so very appreciated. Wow. 🫶🏽,” Minaj wrote on X, formerly Twitter. As a result, many fans began to implore Minaj to bring out Brown during stops on her upcoming Pink Friday 2 tour. Nicki’s 53-stop tour of North America and Europe begins on March 1 in Oakland. At the time of writing, the only confirmed guest act is Monica, who will open all non-festival shows on the North American leg.

Minaj and Brown have seven collaborations together. Their partnership dates back over a decade to “Right By My Side” in 2012. Their most recent collab was Brown’s “Wobble Up”, also featuring G-Eazy, in 2019. Furthermore, their best charting was the Young Money track “Only”, which went triple platinum and peaked at No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100. However, their best-performing collab with no other featuring artists was Brown’s 2013 “Love You More”, which peaked at No. 23.

The Houston native’s “HISS” track left the Queen of Rap in her feelings, specifically over a bar about Megan’s Law that seemed to be a direct shot at her husband, Kenneth Petty. For the most part, the Hotties and the Barbz have reduced the number of shots being thrown at one another, though the latter came rushing to Minaj’s defense, insisting legal action be taken after a fake Live Nation announcement surfaced online earlier this week.

“Disclaimer: Please be advised that in accordance with California state regulations, we are obligated to disclose the presence of a level three sex offender backstage,” the screenshot states. “Mr. Kenneth Petty will be present. Attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or older. Identification will be verified prior to entry through the metal detectors. The doctored notice also says that “Individuals under the age of 18 will be mandated to wear a distinctive pink neon vest labelled “CHILD UNDER 18″ and will be directed to a designated pit area reserved exclusively for minors. Security personnel will be stationed in close proximity to ensure their safety and well-being throughout the event.” So far, Minaj doesn’t seem to be responding to the petty antics, but if they continue, we can almost guarantee she won’t keep quiet.

Unfortunately, the modern era of social media and parasocial relationships has led some famous people to surround themselves with obsequious yes-men who will insatiably do their bidding, no matter how absurd. One such example is Nicki Minaj’s so-called “Barbz.”

The Barbz actively employ threats and online harassment to aggressively target Nicki’s enemies and critics. At times, they have gone so far as to doxx the personal information and whereabouts of those who speak negatively about their femcee queen. With the latest headlines once again maligning Nicki Minaj and her band of crazed fans, it begs the question: are Nicki Minaj’s Barbz the most dangerous fan base in all of music?

The Barbz Have Doxxed Megan Thee Stallion’s Deceased Mother

In a move that truly sounds impossible to accomplish, Nicki Minaj’s fans have successfully doxxed a dead woman. In a vehement response to the ongoing rap feud between Nicki and Megan Thee Stallion, the Barbz have gone to the extent of researching and uncovering the location of Meg’s mother’s burial plot. Some fans have issued threats to show up at the site, hinting at unsavory acts of vandalism.

The cemetery security has been notified of this ongoing breach and has pledged to maintain a watchful eye over the plot as the story continues to unfold. Megan’s mother tragically passed away from cancer in 2019, and has nothing to do with the ongoing exchange of words between Nicki Minaj and her daughter which recently culminated in tracks such as “Hiss” and “Big Foot.”

Clearly, this is twisted behavior that should unequivocally be condemned by any artist, though Nicki Minaj has a long and unfortunate history of whipping her fans into a fervor like this and letting them loose, or even actively encouraging them to engage with their worst impulses. While Megan’s family is the most recent example of this trend, they are far from the first victims of the Barbz’s toxic ire.

Several victims of Nicki Minaj’s Barbz have taken to social media to inform the public that they have lawyered up against the ravenous fans, after suffering harassment similar to that of Megan Thee Stallion in years past. While some famous people such as Lil Kim have faced the ire of rabid fans, many victims of the Barbz include random teenagers voicing their distaste for the rapper on social media. Many onlookers have even taken to comparing the Barbz to the crazed central character Dre from the Prime Video series Swarm.

Swarm was created by Donald Glover and Janine Nabors to illustrate the wild lengths some fans will go to in order to impress their favorite musician. The show features a crazed fan who locates and brutally murders members of the public who take to social media to voice criticism of her favorite singer, Ni’Jah. While the show primarily draws real-world parallels to the fan base of Beyoncé, it seems that Nicki Minaj and her Barbz are far more deserving of the title at this time.

Nicki’s fans have brigaded subreddit communities, turned out in droves to cyberbully autistic TikTok users, and even ganged up to launch a widespread attack on her husband’s sexual assault victim, in a disgusting display of toxicity. Hopefully, Nicki will come to her senses and gain control over her over-protective fans quickly before they spiral out of control on another unsuspecting critic. With all this toxicity and horrifying behavior, the Barbz are genuinely a dangerous fanbase.

Subsequently, Nicki began firing back on social media and was eager to continue the beef. However, her song “Big Foot” ultimately fell short on more than a few levels. The fans were not feeling it whatsoever, and now, some are questioning here legacy. Ultimately, it seems like Meg has come away with the win, albeit with a few large inconveniences.

For instance, we reported yesterday on how the Barbz had gone ahead and doxxed the gravesite where Meg’s mom is buried. It was a truly awful happenstance that goes to show how unhinged the Barbz can be. Well, according to TMZ, the cemetery involved in the story has officially upped its security. However, that is simply a precaution, and for now, there is no immediate danger. Although, when you really think about it, this kind of invasion of privacy should have never happened, to begin with.

Nicki Minaj Said ‘Billboard’ Is Trying To Discredit Her Sales With New Rules Following A Successful Fan Contest

Nicki Minaj‘s fifth studio album Pink Friday 2 has proven to be a hit among fans. In the week since its release, songs from the album have dominated the streaming and iTunes charts. Additionally, Minaj’s dedicated fanbase, the Barbz, have taken to social media to show off their vinyl and CD editions of the album. Many fans are anticipating that the album will reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

However, it looks like some last-minute changes to the rules may affect her rankings. Today (December 13), Minaj took to Twitter to express her frustrations with Billboard, claiming they are not going to count 100,000 of the physical edition sales, as the “Big Difference” rapper held a contest requiring Barbz to show proof that they purchased four editions of the album. Following the contest, she would select 100 Barbz to join her in the studio one day.

“been discussing my 100 barbz contest for months,” said Minaj. “They said billboard reached out to say they gon take away sales for me telling y’all about the 100 barbz thing.”

She continued, hinting that she would reveal more news within the next few hours.

In a follow up post, Minaj shared that the album has reached 300,000 units sold in physical and streaming equivalents, however, Billboard allegedly won’t include 100,000 of those sales.

“It’s at 300 but once they filter out 100K, you’ll be none the fkng wiser,” said Minaj.

She continued expressing her frustrations, saying, “I’m being punished for: Not signing a 360; Making great music; Having great fans; And for not leaving the game so that their new Nicki’s (who signed 360 deals) can be propped up to look as tho they are a lot more successful than they rlly are.”
