Offset’s “Baby Shark” Voice Acting Leaves Fans Stunned

Offset, Cardi B, and their children recently appeared in the children’s animated show, Baby Shark’s Big Show. The famous family appeared as shark versions of themselves – namely “Sharki B” and “Offshark”. In their brief cameo, the couple (and their kids) are chilling in their green room when their security catches protagonist Brooklyn “Baby” Shark (Kimiko Glenn) trying to sneak in.

However, the famous couple’s voice-acting skills are under scrutiny. While some fans have praised Offset, others found his line delivery stilted and awkward. “Idk why but when he was in NCIS, I always thought the delivery of this line was funny lol,” one commenter replied, including a clip of Offset’s awkward line delivery from the long-running police procedural. Check out the clip below and let us know what you think of Offset’s performance.

Megan Thee Stallion Joins The Cast Of Big Mouth

However, Cardi and Offset are not the only rappers that have made animated appearances this year. Back in September, it was revealed that Megan Thee Stallion was joining the cast of Big Mouth. Megan was announced in a 48-second short dedicated to both her character and the Season 7 date reveal. She will play a caked-up hormone monster ready to cause trouble for the already embattled eighth-graders. While the show has proven divisive, Megan joins what is one of the most stacked casts on TV right now. Big Mouth already features Nick Kroll, John Mulaney, Jessi Klein, Jason Mantzoukas, and Ayo Edebiri.

Furthermore, Kid Cudi announced this week that he is returning to acting with a new animated vehicle, Slime. The Cleveland musician is set to star in and produce the film about two individuals who set off on a quest to find a cure for the side effects of a medical trial. The film will serve as the directorial debut of Jeron Braxton, an animator best known for Baby Demon. The script is the work of Brian Ash, best known for The Boondocks.

Chance The Rapper Says He Wants To Collaborate With Peppa Pig

Chance The Rapper says that he’d be interested in collaborating with Peppa Pig and Baby Shark. The Chicago rapper discussed his kids’ love for the cartoon characters during a recent appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers. Chance appeared on the show to promote the 10th anniversary of his iconic mixtape, Acid Rap.

“Yeah, they do like my music,” Chance said when asked about his two daughters. “They’re more into like, Peppa Pig, and their contemporaries. But like, I have a few songs that they’ll listen to. They like a song called ‘Let’s Go on the Run’ a lot.”

Chance added that he would be willing to work with Peppa Pig. “Out of my own desperation, I’d do a collaboration with Peppa. Like Peppa, if you’re listening right now, like I’m trying to work, or at least get some autographs for my kids. Shout out to Peppa Pig!” he said. “And the Baby Shark also! I would in a heartbeat.” Chance previously appeared on Sesame Street back in 2019 alongside Cookie Monster and Elmo.

The interview comes as Chance prepares to perform several concerts in celebration of the 10th anniversary of Acid Rap. He’ll be performing in Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York City at various times throughout the year. Speaking with Complex ahead of the announcement, Chance admitted that he would have died had he continued using drugs the way he was at the time he made the mixtape. “I probably would have died,” Chance told the publication. “Definitely, the way that I was living at that time. I had everything in excess. Right after I dropped the project, I went on a few tours where I really didn’t make any money. But then I went on my first tour, my headlining tour, where I made some money.”

Cardi B, Offset & Family Will Appear In “Baby Shark” Movie

If you’re a big fan of Cardi B and Offset but are too annoyed by Baby Shark (doot-do, do-doot do-doot), we have some mixed news for you. The “Hot S**t” MC just announced via Twitter that her and her family will appear in the upcoming Baby Shark’s Big Movie from Nickelodeon, appearing exclusively on Paramount Plus. Moreover, Cardi, ‘Set, and their kids Kulture and Wave will reportedly join as voice cast members. However, the Bronx MC didn’t offer much details in her post, so maybe there are other surprises in store.

As expected, the comments section filled up with both well wishes and memes (“Cardi shark, do do do do do do” was a popular one). Also, a lot of people wondered whether they will release a song as part of a promotional rollout or soundtrack for the kids flick. Given that their recent McDonald’s deal didn’t involve music, perhaps that’s wishful thinking. Still, it didn’t stop fans from guessing what that collab would even look like. Neither is exactly well-known for their family-friendly hit songs, but they are well-known for being a popular and openly loving family.

Cardi B Announces Her Family’s Role In Baby Shark’s Big Movie

For example, the couple recently shared a video of them in bed together, cuddling and laughing with each other. As Offset planted kisses on Cardi B, she started to sing a song that got them cracking up. Furthermore, they’ve shown a lot of love to their kids, four-year-old Kulture and one-year-old Wave, on social media. Regardless of how good the Baby Shark movie is, it will at least make for an interesting pop culture venture for the family. Who knows, maybe their performance ends up blowing the other voice actors out of the water.

Meanwhile, their McDonald’s commercial also gave a sweet glimpse into their relationship. “He a simple man,” Cardi B said of his boo while detailing his typical order. In addition, Offset made it clear that it’s important to share during meals, which is always a hot debate with couples. “If it’s mine, it’s hers,” he said of the fries in their combo meal. Maybe their appearance in Baby Shark’s Big Movie will bring some other wholesome moments to the fold. Regardless, stick around on HNHH for the latest on Cardi B and Offset.

Cardi B, Offset, And Kulture’s ‘Baby Shark’ Characters Will Return In ‘Baby Shark’s Big Movie’

I hope you’re not tired of doing the “Seaweed Sway” yet, because Baby Shark’s Big Movie is coming to Paramount + and Sharki B — aka Cardi B — is coming along for the ride. Naturally, Cardi will reprise her Baby Shark’s Big Show! character along with her husband Offshark (Offset), and daughter Kulture Shark (Kulture). And hey, since they’ve got a new aquatically-named rugrat running around, it looks like Wave is also included in the cast list.

Cardi excitedly shared the news on Twitter, writing, “Happy to announce that me & my family will be in the BABY SHARKS BIG MOVIE!!!!!” Included in the casting announcement are other stars like Ashley Tisdale, Lance Bass (whose name is already the perfect fish pun), K-pop band Enhypen, Saturday Night Live regulars Ego Nwodim and Chloe Fineman, and comedian Aparna Nancherla.

Cardi, Offset, and Kulture first guest-starred on Baby Shark’s Big Show! last spring, when they appeared as animated, brightly-colored versions of themselves to perform a new song by Cardi, “The Seaweed Sway.” The titular protagnist danced with Sharki B and her family during a concert in the episode, showing off the accompanying dance. Fun fact: In Korea, where Baby Shark originates, Sharki B is played by K-pop star CL.

According to People:

The movie will follow Baby Shark and his family as they move to Chomp City, the big city of sharks. Not only will Baby Shark be forced to adjust to life without his best friend William nearby, but he’ll also encounter an evil pop starfish who plans to steal his gift of song in order to dominate all underwater music. Baby Shark has to embark on a mission to break her spell to restore harmony to the seas.

Baby Shark’s Big Movie is set for release during the holiday season.

Cardi B Invents A New Dance, ‘The Seaweed Sway,’ In Her Guest-Starring Role On ‘Baby Shark’s Big Show’

Cardi B once said that she won’t let her daughter sing one of her biggest hits, but now, thanks to Nickelodeon, at least one of her songs will be acceptable for Kulture’s little ears. This Friday at noon, Cardi will be guest-starring on the kids’ series Baby Shark’s Big Show! as a toothy, finned, bright-pink version of herself named Sharki B. She’ll be joined by fishy animated versions of her husband Offset and her daughter Kulture to perform a new song called “The Seaweed Sway.” Today, Billboard premiered a clip of the song, in which Sharki B shows off its accompanying “viral” dance alongside the show’s title character.

To be honest, the song ain’t half bad, and considering the origins and ubiquity of the Baby Shark theme song, I’m sure there will be plenty of parents breathing a sigh of relief at getting a break from the hypnotic tune that kids can’t seem to get enough of. On the other hand, I’m equally sure there’ll be a ton of pearl-clutching from the sorts of people who act like Cardi b’s music will be the end of Western civilization, despite the song being about as kid-friendly as it gets. But the video’s cute (look at Offshark!), the song’s catchy, and kids kind of already love Cardi B — at least this is one song of hers parents won’t mind them singing along to.

Cardi B To Guest-Star On “Baby Shark’s” Series As ‘Sharki B’

Cardi B baby shark's

Cardi B is set to guest star on Nickelodeon’s Baby Shark’s Big Show.

The 29-year-old “Bodak Yellow” rapper will be joined by both her husband Offset and daughter Kulture on the episode, which will air April 15th.

The character Cardi will play will be named Sharki B, fittingly. A press release from Billboard describes Sharki B as “the biggest star in the seven seas. Flashy, awe-inspiring, and ruthlessly fun—but always 100% herself.”

The whole family landed the animated gig on the special episode “The Seaweed Sway,” airing air April 15th. Offset will voice ‘Offshark’ described as, “a cool fish with a great vibe and a huge Sharki fan,” and Kulture will voice Kulture Shark ‘Offshark’s three-year-old daughter who is excited to attend Sharki’s big concert with her dad.

Cardi B Will Make For One Adorable Fish In Her Guest-Starring Role On ‘Baby Shark’s Big Show’

Anyone raising small kids — or who has been in their immediate vicinity in the last five years — knows (and is likely sick to death) of South Korean entertainment company Pinkfong’s near-ubiquitous and insanely popular version of the song “Baby Shark.” Originally a campfire song inspired by Jaws (the ’80s were a weird time, man), the Pinkfong version has become one of the most-played videos on YouTube (10 billion views and counting, as of this January) and was spun off into a Nick Jr. animated series, Baby Shark’s Big Show!

As a mom herself, Cardi B has likely contributed .01 percent of those view totals herself (that’s a million, folks) but being Cardi B, she’s found a way to turn what may have been a frustrating parental imperative into a potentially lucrative opportunity: Billboard reports the “Up” rapper will guest star on Baby Shark’s Big Show! alongside her husband Offset and three-year-old Kulture. Cardi will portray an animated version of herself called Sharki B, while Offset will be Offshark, and she’ll perform a new song called “The Seaweed Sway.”

Cardi is actually a big fan of “Baby Shark,” as you can see from the video she posted back in 2019, while she also tweeted that Kulture is a big fan of the “whole Baby Shark mixtape.” While this is almost certainly a dream come true for Kulture, Cardi’s beef with Peppa Pig remains unresolved. Maybe she can turn that into a guest-starring role too.

Cardi’s guest-starring episode of Baby Shark’s Big Show! will air 04/15 on Nickelodeon/Nick Jr.
