Jack Doherty Sued For Alleged Halloween Party Assault

YouTuber Jack Doherty and his bodyguard Kane Kongg are being sued by a man that Kongg was filmed punching at David Dobrik’s Halloween party last year. Chase Gardella is pursuing legal action against the two men in the wake of the video of the alleged assault going viral. Gardella’s suit states that he did not consent to be assaulted. This is Doherty attempting to set up a fight between himself and Gardella. Doherty has previously posted videos of himself fighting the likes of The Island Boys.

“This was a disgusting, unprovoked assault on a young man by a professional boxer at the direction of his social media influencer employer. Chase was minding his own business, enjoying a fun Halloween Party with friends when he was brutally attacked by a man several times larger than him. This sort of behavior by Jack Doherty and his cronies needs to end. Chase suffered serious injuries that could de-rail his life and career,” Gardella’s attorney told TMZ.

What Did Jack Doherty Do At David Dobrik’s Halloween Party?

Corinna Kopf and several of her friends were eyewitnesses to a violent assault during a livestreamed Halloween party. During a confrontation with the bodyguard of Doherty, Kopf and others watched as Kongg punched Gardella in the face. It’s unclear what caused the confrontation but the video doesn’t the show the man doing anything that would provoke such a response. Kopf immediately went after the guard, yelling “What is wrong with you? Are you f-cking crazy?” as the security guard backed off. The bodyguard continued to be aggressive, yelling “Get out of my face n-gga. I will flatten you, b-tch” back at Kopf.

Doherty uploaded the clip to his own social media, promoting it as “My security just knocked out a guy live on my kick,” along with a link to his website. In a follow-up post, Doherty tried to justify his bodyguard’s actions. “Context: they were pressing us,” the content creator wrote. Furthermore, Doherty appeared to be the host of the party, having previously advertised that he was streaming with Blueface. “Sooooo unnecessary, punching someone for this conversation is wild. You punched a lawyer btw,” Kopf wrote on her own social media in response to the clip.

Jermell Charlo Audio Appears To Include Boxer Bragging About Assaulting His Wife

Audio of Jermell Charlo leaked after the boxer was arrested this week appears to include Charlo openly bragging about assaulting his wife. “I hit that b-tch like this in the eye. Socked her in the eye. Big swole purple thing came open. That b-tch called the cops on me. Like a woman. Like a regular woman,” Charlo can be heard saying in the clip. While his alleged victim was not immediately named, his wife Chyane filed both a temporary restraining order and divorce papers against Charlo. This remains a developing story.

Charlo hasn’t fought since a unanimous decision loss to Canelo Alvarez earlier this year. Alvarez, who had told reporters he was “still in his prime” prior to the fight, spent most of the bout trying to goad Charlo into engaging. Charlo, who was fighting up two divisions, managed to avoid most of Alvarez’s power attacks but rarely went on the offensive himself. “I feel like it wasn’t me in there. I don’t make excuses. You win some, you lose some. I’m undisputed in my weight; I was daring to be great. I’m proud of myself. He didn’t knock me out; he knocked all the other guys out,” Charlo said after the fight. Furthermore, Charlo confirmed that he would be returning to 154 pounds for the foreseeable future.

UFC Star Arrested

However, Charlo is not the only person who has been recently arrested for allegedly assaulting a family member. At the start of December, former UFC champion Jamahal Hill was arrested on a domestic violence charge in Michigan. Hill was booked at a jail in Kent County on November 27 and released later that same day. However, prosecutors also charged the 32-year-old with a single count of misdemeanor aggravated domestic violence. Hill was accused of assaulting his brother James. However, details about the altercation are scarce.

Hill rose to the top of his UFC weight division in January, beating Glover Teixeira at UFC 283 for the vacant light heavyweight title. However, Hill’s tenure with the belt only lasted until July. After suffering an Achilles tendon rupture, Hill vacated the title. Alex Pereria took the vacant belt at UFC 295 last month. Prior to his arrest, Hill was expected to challenge Pereria for the belt once he recovered from his injury.

Jimmy Iovine Sued For Sexual Assault: What We Know

As the Adult Survivors Act (ASA) was set to expire on November 24, 2023, a number of cases were filed against prominent figures in the music industry. For example, Sean Combs was accused of sex trafficking and physical abuse by his ex-girlfriend, Cassie. In the following week, several other plaintiffs filed lawsuits against Diddy related to alleged sexual abuse. Prominent names like Jamie Foxx, LA Reid, and Axl Rose have also had lawsuits filed against them.

Jimmy Iovine, the music mogul and the co-founder of Interscope Records, could soon be under the same fire. Right before the end of ASA, he was accused of sexual misconduct by an unidentified woman. Here’s what we know about the case so far.

What Is The Adult Survivors Act?

First of all, it’s important to understand what the Adult Survivors Act is. According to New York State Assemblymember Linda B. Rosenthal, the ASA is a bill that “provides victims of sexual assault who were 18 years or older at the time of their abuse a one-year look-back period to file a lawsuit against their abuser and, if applicable, the institution that harbored them, no matter how long ago the crime occurred.” Within the one-year period, affected persons would be able to file lawsuits on historic sex crimes without hindrance from the statute of limitations.

The Case Against Jimmy Iovine

Alarmingly, over 2,500 cases were filed under this act while it was active. While he has only been issued a court summons now, Iovine could soon be facing a similar lawsuit as well. The summon was filed on November 22, 2023, when an anonymous woman, identified as Jane Doe, accused Jimmy Iovine of assault and battery. Additionally, it was issued by the New York County Supreme Court, and signed by attorneys Kevin Mintzer and Doug Wigdor. In the document obtained from the court, Jane Doe alleges that she was “sexually abused, forcibly touched, and subjected to sexual harassment and retaliation in violation of anti-discriminatory laws in or around August 2007.”

Iovine’s Rep Responds

Subsequently, an unnamed spokesperson from Iovine responded in a statement to Variety. “We are quite shocked and baffled by this alleged claim,” they said. “This inquiry is the first we’ve heard of this matter. No one has ever made a claim like this against Jimmy Iovine, nor have we been contacted or made aware of any complaint by anyone, including this unknown plaintiff prior to now.”

Nonetheless, Jane Doe now seeks damages as a result of her alleged abuse at the hands of the music executive. Her legal documents, according to PEOPLE, state that “her amount for relief will be determined at trial for, but not limited to, physical injury, economic and compensatory damages, punitive damages, and attorney’s fees and costs.”

The trial will take place at the New York County Supreme Court.
Iovine must provide a notice of appearance or request for complaint within 20 days of receiving the summons. However, he will have an additional 10 days to respond if the summons isn’t delivered to him personally. In the meantime, Doe’s attorneys have offered no further comments.

Cassie Settles Diddy Lawsuit: Who Supported The Singer?

The last few days have certainly been intense for Cassie Ventura and Sean “Diddy” Combs. On November 16, 2023, Cassie filed a lawsuit against the music mogul, immediately making headlines across the media. While the two dated for a decade, their relationship has been over since 2018. Following their separation, they seemed to have remained amicable and barely interacted with each other since. However, in a shocking turn of events, Cassie accused Diddy of years of physical abuse and sex trafficking in her recent civil lawsuit.

Interestingly enough, a settlement was reached just a day later, which shocked the public even further, raising eyebrows as to why Diddy was so quick to settle the suit. As of November 20th, the case was officially dismissed. In the short time that the lawsuit stood, several notable celebrities stood behind Cassie. Besides her loyal fans, and a horde of social media users, here’s a list of people who openly supported Cassie.

A post shared by Poonie Fine (@alexfine44)

Personal trainer and actor Alex Fine is Cassie’s husband of four years. The two began dating in 2018, shortly after her split from Diddy. Interestingly, Diddy was originally a client of Fine, and it was the mogul who introduced him to Cassie. Subsequently, he became a personal trainer to Cassie as well, and the rest is history.

A source told People that Cassie “started to open up” to Fine after they hit it off in the early stages of their relationship. Evidently, he has been in her corner ever since. Unsurprisingly, since Cassie filed the lawsuit against Diddy, Fine has stood firmly behind her. Soon after news of the lawsuit broke, Fine shared a picture of himself and Cassie from their wedding on his Instagram story. Markedly, he captioned it with a heart emoji, but it was a simple but profound show of support for his wife.

Aubrey O’Day

Former lead singer of girl group, Danity Kane, O’Day wasted no time showing her support for Cassie. Following the news of Cassie’s lawsuit, she shared several screenshots on X, with the caption, “I stay trying to tell y’all.” In addition, she shared with Page Six that she is “in complete support” of Cassie. Furthermore, in a statement to Rolling Stone, she said, “Taking a stand against one of the most influential figures in this industry and being open about your encounters with them isn’t an easy path. I empathize deeply with what Cassie is going through because I’ve walked a similar road.”

After Diddy and Cassie settled their lawsuit, O’Day blasted the justice system, writing, “Money [over] accountability. Every time.” Many misconstrued the comment as a slight toward Cassie, though O’Day cleared the air. “I WAS TALKING ABOUT DIDDY NOT CASSIE. she tole her story, she was brave,” she wrote. “The person that needed to hold themself accountable was PUFF, NOT HER. Justice is a word that means nothing to those that can afford it’s grasp.”

Formerly signed to Bad Boy Records herself, O’Day suggested that she had unsavory experiences during her time with the label. On an episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast from 2022, the singer alleged that she was fired from Danity Kane because she “wasn’t willing to do what was expected. Not talent-wise, but in other areas.” Evidently, she maintained a cryptic stance, perhaps to protect herself. However, her recent comments supporting Cassie indicate that she may have previously contemplated filing a lawsuit of her own. While she has not been as direct and detailed about her experiences, her support for Cassie piqued the interest of fans, especially since she has been vocal about her disdain for Diddy for years.

Dawn Richard

Like Aubrey O’Day, Dawn Richard is a former member of Danity Kane. In the past, she had barely had anything negative to say about her former label boss. However, following the announcement of the lawsuit, she openly supported Cassie. On November 16, she posted on X, “Praying for Cassie and her family, for peace and healing. You are beautiful and brave.” This also came as no surprise to fans, as the shocking disbandment of Danity Kane has long since troubled fans.

Kimora Lee

Admittedly, Kimora Lee’s support for Cassie and the lawsuit against Diddy is mostly presumed. However, fans believe the cryptic Instagram story the model posted on November 17 could have only been pointing to one thing. Lee herself has had an altercation with Diddy in the past. Therefore, when she posted “As you sow, so you shall reap,” following reports of the lawsuit, fans quickly connected the dots. Without confirmation, however, it cannot be said for sure what Lee was referring to.

Never one to hold back, Azealia Banks confidently chipped in, backing Cassie soon after the lawsuit was announced. While setting camp on Instagram, she alleged that Diddy once beat Cassie up. According to her, it was so bad that Diddy had to send her to Hawaii to heal away from the eyes of the press. She proceeded to call Diddy “another violent hip-hop homosexual.”

Tamar Braxton Twerks On Chrisean Rock Before James Wright Chanel Beef: Watch

Chrisean Rock is used to landing herself in serious trouble when Blueface is involved. This weekend, the 23-year-old is proving that she’s capable of landing in hot water on her own accord as well. She’s been focusing on the success of her music career in recent weeks, specifically her Blueface diss track, “MR. TAKE YA B*TCH” with Lil Mabu. Thanks to the hard work she’s put in, Rock was recognized by R&B icon Tamar Braxton, and offered an opportunity to address the crowd at her Friday (November 10) evening concert.

In videos circulating from the event, the Baltimore native looks to be in good spirits while turning up with Braxton backstage. The pair show off their twerking moves for the camera. In another video, Rock speaks to the audience though there appears to be an effort to have her removed from the stage. According to initial reports, the new mother missed her opportunity to perform while attempting to grab a friend from the front of the venue. This set her off, and resulted in a physical attack on James Wright Chanel that reportedly sent him to the hospital.

Braxton’s good friend LeTroy has been breaking down the drama from his perspective. He alleges that Rock was actually never meant to sing to the crowd last night. “She come to Tamar concert drunk with 1,000 people, smelling like weed, looking d**b,” he yelled into the camera while defending his friends. “Apparently she makes music, I didn’t know that,” LeTroy’s rant continued.

“Apparently she wanted to drop a beat, you know what I’m saying? So, she was mad that she didn’t get to perform! I didn’t know she was a performer, and even if I did know she was, she was not getting on the stage that everybody has worked their a** off to make! Y’all seen the video, she was up there a drunk fool,” he vented.

Cam’ron And Mase Decide The Worst Part About The Dwight Howard Assault Allegations Is Howard’s Sexuality

Last month, Dwight Howard was sued for sexual assault and battery. Model Stephen Harper has claimed after a period of flirting with Howard, he traveled to Howard’s home for a threesome. However, Harper states that despite retracting his consent to participate, Howard performed non-consensual oral sex on him and forced Harper to reciprocate in kind.

These claims, however, were just the most recent allegations against Howard. Royce Reed, the mother of Howard’s eldest child, recently released a number of shocking revelations about the former NBA player. “This man is evil. Y’all fall for it every time. Ask him why he’s telling a 12yo he’s gay bcuz he hadn’t “touched anything” or watching porn with them? Better yet, why it took 4.5 years to fire the nanny that molested 2 of his kids. I got time today. He took this little boy from this grandmother that raised him and kept her in court for 2yrs only to give him to his parents while he was overseas. Reed also claimed that Howard had asked her to be the “matriarch” of his “polyamory quest”. However, It Is What It Is decided to give a very bizarre take on the situation.

Cam’ron And Ma$e Discuss Howard Assault Allegations

On a recent episode of It Is What It Is, Cam’ron claimed that days before the assault allegations were made public, Howard’s team reached. Their intention was apparently to secure an appearance for Howard. Cam’ron then proceeded to ask his co-host how he would react. In particular, given the revelations, how he would react if he was on a team and playing with Howard. “I don’t want to say it because we’re on the air. But I would probably want Howard to have his own space,” Ma$e argued. So right off the bat, that’s just segregation. And no, we shouldn’t segregate same-sex attracted athletes just because of their sexual attraction. One of the most infuriating things about straight people is their narcissistic obsession that they are attractive to same-sex attracted individuals.

Cam’ron appears to agree with Ma$e, bringing up a video where Odell Beckham Jr. appears to appreciate his teammates’ asses. But don’t worry, Cam’ron later clarifies that he’s not homophobic because he “got gay relatives”. However, what’s most telling is that during this entire clip, no one actually brings up the allegations Howard has been hit with. The entire conversation is done through the lens of Howard’s sexuality, not the heinous acts he has been accused of committing.

WNBA’s Riquna Williams Arrested On Domestic Battery Charges

Las Vegas Aces guard Riquna Williams has reportedly been arrested on nine counts of domestic battery in Nevada. The charges include five felony charges and four misdemeanors. The felonies include multiple counts of domestic battery by strangulation, coercion with the threat or use of physical force, and assault with use of a weapon.

Williams was released without bail on July 26, the day after her arrest. However, she was hit with a no-contact order regarding her alleged victim. Furthermore, she must also comply with an alcohol monitoring program. Williams will return to court for another hearing on August 2. Williams’ public defender acknowledged the charges and said there would be no issues in complying with the no-contact order. The guard has been in the WNBA since 2021 and played for the Aces since 2021. However, Williams has not yet appeared in the 2023 season due to injury.

“The Las Vegas Aces were made aware of domestic violence charges against a member of our team, Riquna Williams,” a statement from the team read. “As an organization, we condemn domestic violence of any kind. At this time, Riquna Williams will be precluded from participating in team activities. Our thoughts are with the parties involved in this situation. We are currently gathering more information, and as such we will not have any further comments at this time.” However, at the time of writing, Williams remains on the Aces’ roster. A similar statement was made by a representative of the WNBAPA. “We are aware of the alleged incident and are in the process of gathering more information,” the WNBA added in a statement of their own.

Williams’ alleged victim has not been named. Prosecutor Glen O’Brien referred to “violence and damage to the victim.” Meanwhile, Justice of the Peace Rebecca Saxe stated that the alleged acts occurred over an “extended period of time.” However, it’s also not Williams’ first run-in with the league’s domestic violence policy. In 2019, Williams was suspended for 10 games by the league after she was arrested on domestic violence charges against her then-partner in Florida. This is a developing story.

Tyreek Hill Investigated Over Alleged Assault In Miami

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is reportedly under investigation for alleged assault and battery. First reported by Local 10 News, the Miami Police Department opened an investigation into Hill on Sunday evening. According to initial reports, Hill struck an employee of the Haulover Marina after a verbal altercation.

On June 18, which marked Father’s Day in the United States and around the world, Hill shared a video of him and agent Drew Rosenhaus fishing off the Florida coast. Rosenhaus later shared a similar video, showing a shark swimming past the boat he and Hill were fishing from. The alleged altercation reportedly took place when the pair returned to the marina on Sunday evening.

On June 21, the Miami Dolphins released a statement concerning the allegations. “We are aware of the situation and have been in contact with Tyreek, his representatives and the NFL,” a spokesperson for the Dolphins said. “We will reserve further comment at this time.” At the time of writing, both Hill and Rosenhaus are yet to release a statement about the allegations and subsequent investigation. Hill is entering his second season with the Dolphins. He amassed a career-high 1710 yards during the 2022 season.

However, it’s not the first time Hill has been linked with similar allegations. In 2014, Hill pled guilty to domestic assault and battery by strangulation after allegations were brought forward by his then-girlfriend. The plea led to Hill’s dismissal from the Oklahoma State football team. Furthermore, Hill was investigated for alleged child battery in 2019 after reports of his three-year-old son sustaining a broken arm surfaced. Hill was never formally charged or reprimanded as a result of this investigation. The latest allegations against Hill are a developing story and we’ll have any updates here at HotNewHipHop.

Shawn Kemp Pleads Not Guilty In Shooting Case

Last month, former NBA star Shawn Kemp was charged with first-degree assault after firing a handgun outside a mall in Tacoma, Washington. The charges reportedly stemmed from a video showing the incident, which occurred in March 2023. At the time of the charges, Kemp’s attorney indicated that he would plead not guilty. Kemp had been arrested at the time of the incident but was released without being charged. The charges came over a month later.

“Today, Shawn Kemp learned that the Pierce County Prosecutor’s Office elected to file charges against him,” attorney Scott Boatman, “He will be entering a plea of not guilty at his upcoming arraignment. Kemp has been fully cooperative with the police and the prosecutor’s office throughout this process. He is confident that once the jury hears from the witnesses and sees the evidence at trial, they will conclude that he was justified in defending himself that afternoon. He has retained the law offices of Aaron Kiviat and Tim Leary to defend these charges.”

Kemp Files Not Guilty Plea

On May 4, Kemp officially filed a plea of not guilty at Pierce County Courthouse. He would remain free on the charge of first-degree murder, with the conditions that he surrender any firearms and not attempt to contact the alleged victims. However, Kempt has maintained throughout these proceedings that he was acting in self-defense at the time of the shooting. Kemp will return to court next month for a second hearing on the charge. Kemp did not speak to the media upon leaving the courthouse with his attorney. It is not the first time Kemp has faced legal trouble. He was arrested twice on possession charges in 2005 and 2006.

Kemp spent 14 seasons in the NBA, mostly with the Seattle SuperSonics. A six-time all-star, Kemp retired in 2003 after a single-season stint with the Orlando Magic. Aside from the SuperSonics and Magic, Kemp also spent time with the Cavaliers and Trail Blazers. Additionally, he attempted a comeback for several years, but to no avail. Furthermore, He now owns several businesses in the Seattle area. The most famous of his ventures is a dispensary called Shawn Kemp’s Cannabis.

Iowa State Football Player Arrested On Rape Charges

Aidan Ralph, a redshirt sophomore at Iowa State, was arrested on Wednesday. Ralph was charged with the violent rape of a woman that allegedly occurred at Ralph’s home in December 2022. According to an affidavit, Ralph allegedly accused the woman of cheating on him and assaulted her. Ralph reportedly shoved her into the staircase, fracturing her spine. Instead of calling an ambulance, Ralph reportedly laid on top of the woman and raped her. Ralph was also charged with misdemeanor domestic violence charges.

It’s the latest high-profile rape case stemming from the college sphere in recent years. San Diego State punter Matt Araiza was accused of raping a minor at a party, an accusation that led him to be cut soon after being drafted in the 2022 NFL Draft. He and a number of other players were accused of gang-raping the minor at a frat party. However, no charges were filed in Araiza’s case. The records in the investigation of accusations surrounding Araiza were recently unsealed.

Ralph Granted Bond But Remains Jailed

According to reporting from the Ames Tribune, a judge has set an $11,000 bond for Ralph. However, at the time of writing on May 4, Ralph remains in jail. Furthermore, the judge granted a protective order for Ralph’s alleged victim, meaning that Ralph cannot contact her. Ralph will face a hearing on the charges on May 15. Iowa State has suspended Ralph indefinitely. Ralph had never taken the field for the Cyclones.

The arrest comes during a period of uncertainty within the NCAA. A recent survey of 70 male college athletes found some disturbing results. “The majority of the athletes It’s On Us spoke with had minimal awareness of their institution’s policies, procedures, and resources for survivors, and many did not know who their Title IX Coordinator was,” the study states. “This lack of awareness was a barrier for athletes who desired more direction and resources when experiencing a disclosure.” Title IX is a collegiate mandate that covers everything from fair representation in sports to the handling of sexual assault. While campuses have spent millions on sexual assault awareness, it’s clear that the problem is still prevalent as ever.
