Killer Mike was arrested shortly after his appearance at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night for a misdemeanor battery charge. According to an announcement from the LAPD, it was in regard to a physical altercation that occurred in the nearby area. TMZ reports that Mike knocked down a security officer who wouldn’t get out of his way.
Just moments before the arrest, Mike swept all three of the award categories he was competing in at the event. His track, “Scientists & Engineers,” helped him win Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance while his project, Michael, earned him Best Rap Album.

On stage, Mike was elated, yelling “You cannot tell me that you get too old, you can’t tell me it’s too late, you can’t tell me dreams come true! It’s a sweep!” into the microphone. “For all the people out there that think you get too old to rap, bullsh*t,” he added during his acceptance speech. “I don’t give a damn if you’re 78 rapping about how many gals you got in the nursing home, make sure we keep hip-hop alive.” In the Best Rap Album category, he beat out Metro Boomin (HEROES & VILLAINS), Nas (King’s Disease III), Travis Scott (Utopia), and Drake & 21 Savage (Her Loss).

The Hollywood Reporter’s Chris Gardner broke the news on Twitter. The cause of the arrest is unclear; however, it reportedly has nothing to do with his behavior at the event.
“Just spoke to an official who tells me it’s a misdemeanor and has nothing to do with anything that happened today here inside the arena,” Gardner reported live from the venue. “Likely he will be released once it’s sorted. ‘It’s a big nothing,’ source says.”

Patrick Mahomes Sr, the father of Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, has been arrested on a DWI charge. TMZ first reported that the former MLB pitcher had been arrested on his third DWI charge in Texas on Saturday night. He previously spent 40 days in jail, serving his time on the weekends, for a charge levied back in 2019. Mahomes Sr spent nearly a decade as a major league pitcher in the MLB, playing between 1992 and 2003. His son was born in 1995 while Mahomes Sr was playing for the Twins. However, after 2003, Mahomes Sr spent several years as a minor league journeyman. In 2019, his jersey was retired and he was inducted into the club Hall of Fame for the Sioux Falls Canaries.
The news comes a week before Mahomes II is due to play in the Super Bowl against the 49ers. Prior to the Conference Championship game, Mahomes Sr had joked that he wouldn’t sit next to Taylor Swift. The 53-year-old father of Patrick Mahomes was arrested last night in Texas, according to online booking records. Bond is reportedly expected to be set later today.
Meanwhile, Patrick Mahomes II has responded to the viral “dad bod” meme that arose in the wake of the Chiefs AFC Championship win last weekend. “Yoooo why they have to do me like that!?!?!? #DadBodSZN,” Mahomes wrote on X, formerly Twitter. The QB was responding to footage from Inside the NFL that went viral amid the Chiefs win. The footage showed a shirtless Mahomes celebrating in the locker room and the angle gave the star player a bit of a gut.
This of course went wild on NFL socials, with fans eagerly sharing the images and changing their handles to things such as “Fatty Patty” and similar names. The Chiefs leaned on their defense to shut out the Ravens in the AFC Championship Game. Mahomes threw for 241 yards and a touchdown in the win.
According to new reports, Real Boston Richey was recently arrested by federal officers for alleged conspiracy to traffic marijuana. Further details surrounding the Florida rapper’s arrest are unclear. Ironically enough, Richey just unveiled a new music video for his track “Federal Nightmares,” which has led some fans to believe that he had an inkling his reported arrest was imminent.

Unfortunately, however, this is far from Real Boston Richey’s first run-in with the law. This latest development has brought about discussions of his 2013 arrest, as well as the snitching allegations he faced last year. Reportedly, he and two others were involved in a stolen vehicle case at the time of the arrest. In 2023, 1090 Jake came through with paperwork alleging that it proved the rapper had snitched on two different occasions. A video later surfaced appearing to show the performer being questioned by police and seemingly identifying various suspects.

Rajon Rondo is a player whom NBA fans remember fondly. Overall, he helped the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers win NBA championships. According to TMZ, Rondo went through a bit of a situation over the weekend. He was driving in Indiana when he was hit with a routine traffic stop. However, authorities sensed a smell coming from the vehicle and demanded a search. Eventually, a gun, some weed, and other drug paraphernalia were found in the former ballplayer’s Tesla. He was subsequently arrested and hit with three misdemeanor charges.

The charges in question are “possession of paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and unlawful possession of a firearm,” as TMZ states. Eventually, Rondo was bailed out of jail pretty quickly. Bond only cost $705 and Rondo was on his way. It remains to be seen what will happen to Rondo, moving forward. Seeing as though these are misdemeanor charges, substantial punishment is looking fairly unlikely. Hopefully, he is able to get things sorted out.

According to a FOX 10 News report on Friday (January 26), HoneyKomb Brazy was just indicted on federal gun charges soon after his release on bond. Moreover, the rapper (real name Nashon Jones) and his two bodyguards, Miguel Wayne Hall and Mason Demetrius Fuller, were indicted specifically for illegal firearm possession. Furthermore, HoneyKomb and Fuller had restrictions in place preventing them from taking ownership of guns thanks to felony convictions in their past. On the other hand, Hall reportedly got an outright ban concerning firearm possession, stemming from a protection-from-abuse order against him from a Georgia judge.
For those unaware, the Mobile, Alabama MC and his entourage encountered police thanks to a traffic stop on December 18 of last year, which led to their subsequent arrest. Authorities alleged that, when they searched the vehicle, they found a Girsan MC 28 SAC 9mm pistol close to the driver’s seat. Not only that, but they also claimed to find a Smith & Wesson MP 15 AR pistol, Promethazine, and marijuana. As such, HoneyKomb Brazy’s original charges also included possession of a controlled substance and the “certain persons forbidden to possess a pistol” code.
When news outlets and the media as a whole picked this up, folks also found out that federal law enforcement quickly involved themselves in this case. For example, a federal agent testified during a preliminary hearing that they monitored HoneyKomb Brazy before this arrest. This owed itself to his relation to multiple investigations in years prior, and he announced plans to take this to trial. Brazy reportedly saw freedom from jail in November of last year following 48 months served for possessing a gun as a person with a felony history.
Meanwhile, this development comes after he also spoke on other cases or legal actions within the rap world. Most recently, the Alabama artist walked back his accusation that Finesse2tymes snitched, which he did around the same time that folks found out that the feds were on him for some time. Earlier this month, it was revealed that 6ix9ine was arrested in the Dominican Republic for alleged domestic violence. Reportedly, the mother of his on-and-off-again partner, Yailin La Más Viral, filed a complaint against him over an incident that allegedly occurred in December. There was a warrant out for his arrest, prompting him and Yailin, who he’s since gotten back with, to go talk with authorities. They tried to explain that nothing had ever actually taken place to justify the warrant, but regardless, he was arrested.
Despite the circumstances, his lawyer appeared confident that the rapper would be swiftly released. “We trust in God that the truth will prevail, that justice will be done, and Mr. Hernandez will obtain his freedom. We appreciate your concern, prayers, and good wishes,” @elgordoylaflaca told fans at the time. Luckily for them, it looks like their prayers have been answered.
Earlier today, it was reported that after Yailin testified and claimed that 6ix9ine had never hit her, he was granted bond. According to De Último Minuto, it’s been set at 30 thousand pesos, which is equivalent to around $1745. Judge Faustina Veloz reportedly felt as though there wasn’t sufficient evidence to justify keeping him in custody ahead of trial. At the end of December, while confirming their split, 6ix9ine accused Yailin of struggling with mental health issues and denied being violent towards her.
“Yailin is not well, she needs help,” he wrote at the time. “Yailin was loved, she was cared for. I’m on probation, I would never lay my hands on a woman, I’m not here to create gossip. Meek Mill recently discussed his 2007 arrest, on the 17th anniversary of the day police booked him for attempted or aggravated assault against a police officer. Reflecting on the incident on Twitter, Meek explained that police lied about the situation. They had obtained a search warrant for his home after an officer for Philadelphia’s Narcotics Field Unit claimed he sold crack to an informant. Afterward, police said Meek chased them and fired a shot at one of them. He used his mug shot from the arrest as the cover of his Dreamchasers 4 mixtape.
