A tweet comparing the legal drama of Megan Thee Stallion and Diddy is causing viral backlash for The Root on social media. The post featured the caption: “Is Megan Thee Stallion the Female Diddy? Crazy Sexual Harassment Allegations Show We Never Know Celebs.” It arrives after a former cameraman for the rapper filed a lawsuit against her on Tuesday. The Root has since taken down the post.

“The two situations are NOTHING ALIKE AT ALL,” one user wrote in response, as caught by AllHipHop. “To make these kinds of incorrect and unequal comparisons in a situation like this is absolutely gross and journalistic malpractice. Stop trying to be like Bossip and have some [damn] decorum.” Another added: “The Root wrote an inflammatory headline about Megan Thee Stallion [because] they knew [people] would quote tweet it with disgust. They’ve been going downhill for a few years now. Desperation breeds depravity.”

Emilio Garcia filed the lawsuit against Megan in Los Angeles County Superior Court, claiming that he was stuck inside a moving vehicle with her when she began having sex with another woman. He further accuses her of treating him differently after the alleged incident. He says the “harassment was so severe or pervasive” that it created a “hostile, abusive work environment” and made “working conditions intolerable.” In a statement from his attorney, Ron Zambrano, to NBC News, his legal team argued “‘Inappropriate’ is putting it lightly” and that “exposing this behavior to employees is definitely illegal.”

Diddy To Be “Indicted Soon,” Lil Rod’s Attorney Alleges

Rodney “Lil Rod” Smith’s attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, claims Diddy will face an indictment “soon.” He said as much to Page Six when the outlet asked him about his client’s reckless homicide conviction from 2003 and other charges throughout the years. Blackburn explained that Rod “did not have adequate legal representation” at the time. Lil Rod is currently suing Diddy for $30 million with allegations of sexual assault stemming from a time when he was reportedly working on Diddy’s The Love Album: Off The Grid, from September 2022 to November 2023.

“I am sure you know that a charge is not a conviction,” Blackburn, who has faced scrutiny over his litigation tactics in the past, told the outlet. “So, running this story on behalf of [Diddy’s camp] is problematic and calls into question your integrity as a journalist. Mr. Jones’ July 2003 reckless homicide occurred when he was 17 years old. He was driving a vehicle with his cousin in the passenger seat. The police pulled him over, but he was afraid and drove off. It was pretty typical behavior for a young black boy in Chicago when pulled over by the police. As a result, he totaled the vehicle, and his cousin, who was his best friend, died.”

Blackburn continued: “He has to live with the guilt of the death of his best friend and family member for the rest of his life. But don’t let that stop you from running this story and getting your clicks. [Diddy’s] legal team can do nothing to distract from the fact that he will be indicted soon.”

Diddy has adamantly denied the allegations against him for months. Freddy P, a former member of the MTV Making The Band 2 group, Da Band, claims Diddy once made a threat on his life during a heated exchange in the studio. He made the allegations during an appearance on The Art of Dialogue, on Friday, explaining that it caused him to leave the group.

“One day, I was waking up, and I was in a mood. I’m in the studio, I’m snapping or whatever. I didn’t even want to be f*cked with,” Freddy said. “You know when you around a bunch of goofies and you a street n***a, sometimes you don’t want to be around the nerds. McKnight went on to suggest that his children are “evil” and a “product of sin.” According to him, it was necessary to rid them from his life in order for him to find happiness. His harsh comments have now garnered a reaction from his son Niko, who he shares with his ex-wife Julie McKnight. He fired back in The Shade Room‘s comments section, making some shocking allegations against his father in the process.

McKnight has yet to address them.

Today, the podcaster took to Twitter/X to announce that he’s got something incredibly valuable in his possession. It’s to be noted, however, that it’s unclear whether or not it actually exists. NBA YoungBoy’s Bad Doctor Impression Allegedly Got Him Caught In Prescription Fraud Scheme

Earlier this week, NBA YoungBoy was arrested at his Utah home on multiple charges. Initially, it was reported that he was booked for “patterns of unlawful activity, procuring or attempting to procure drugs, identity fraud, forgery, possession of controlled substances, and possession of a dangerous weapon.” Today, new details of the case were made public, revealing that it’s far more complex than expected.

YB was hit with a total of 63 charges. Most of them are related to an alleged prescription drug fraud scheme. He’s looking at 20 counts of identity fraud, 20 counts of obtaining a prescription under false pretenses, 20 counts of forgery, and more. Allegedly, he and his crew would call in prescriptions using real doctors’ names, which is ultimately what got them caught. A probable cause affidavit from Cache County details how a caller claiming to be “Gwendolyn Cox” tipped off police.

“‘Gwendolyn’ sounded as though she was a much younger male from the Southern states. Gwendolyn made a statement ‘well I axed her to and she said that she’ll have you call me.’ This statement was a response to a request that was made to have ‘Gwendolyn’ contact Dispatch and have them transfer her call back through. … (I have) lived in the Southern United States, the terminology in replacing the word ‘ask’ with ‘axe’ or other variations, is consistent with a Southern dialect in states such as Texas, Louisiana, Georgia and other southern states,” the affidavit reads.

One pharmacist targeted in the scheme, Erik Stewart, says something just didn’t seem right when he received a call from a number that didn’t match the registered doctor’s office. “Usually, you don’t get a doctor calling in a cough syrup themselves. Diddy Allegations: G Dep Argues Bad Boy Mogul Deserves “Benefit Of The Doubt”

G Dep, a former Bad Boy Records artist, recently spoke about the allegations plaguing Diddy and argued he deserves the “benefit of the doubt.” Speaking with Fox 5 New York about the topic, he also pleaded with the industry veteran to help him out as he’s gotten hundreds of songs in the vault following his prison release.

“I’m like, when? When did that happen?” he asked the outlet. “We were in the studio for months on end.
