DJ Akademiks had a rough ending to 2023 with sexual assault allegations levied on his name. Freddie Gibbs uses the moment to get jabs in on his longtime enemy.

“Let the disrespect be as loud as the disrespect,” Gibbs wrote. “@Akademiks quiet as a church mouse today happy new year U rapist ass bitch.”

In case you missed it, DJ Akademiks trended over the weekend after his ex-girlfriend accused him of sexual assault. During an Instagram Live session, the woman, Ziya Abashae, stated Ak and two of his friends allegedly committed the crime.

According to HipHopDX, a rape kit was conducted, and she shunned the claims by the controversial personality who stated she engaged in an orgy with his friends.

DJ Akademiks Accused of Sexual Assault by His Ex-GF

DJ Akademiks trended over the weekend after his ex-girlfriend accused him of sexual assault. During an Instagram Live session, the woman, Ziya Abashae, stated Ak and two of his friends allegedly committed the crime.

Josh Giddey Is “Creepy,” DJ Akademiks Declares As NBA Star Plays First Game Since Allegations Emerged

DJ Akademiks has weighed in on the allegations surrounding Oklahoma City Thunder star, Josh Giddey. “I think if they did f-ck, it’s kind of creepy right? Yo bro that’s odd like you’re a grown man f-cking a 16-year-old. I think what has to be kind of looked into is, is it illegal? Does the NBA have any type of moral standing to make any type of move,” Akademiks said during a recent livestream.

Despite the growing outrage towards Giddey, he was not kept off the court by the Thunder. He played 26 minutes as the Thunder faced the Sixers on Saturday night. Giddey had 10 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists in the four-point loss. However, some fans have speculated that his poor shooting night (4-12, 0-1 from three) was in part due to Giddey trying to avoid hitting 15 points. 15 is the reported age of the girl he allegedly had sex with.

NBA Investigating Josh Giddey

Giddey’s showing against the Sixers came a day after the NBA officially announced an investigation into the allegations. A league spokesperson announced that the league office was “looking” into the allegations on Friday, a day after they originally hit social media. Earlier in the day, Giddey acknowledged the allegations for the first time. “I understand the question obviously, but there’s no further comment right now,” Giddey told reporters after practice on Friday.

Born in 2002, Giddey joined the NBA in 2021. He forwent the US college system, instead playing a season of professional basketball in his native Australia before declaring for the draft. He had a strong rookie season, putting up 12.5 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 6.4 assists as part of the Thunder’s young core. His sophomore season only saw Giddey improve. In the 2022-23 season, Giddey put up 16.6 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 6.2 assists as the Thunder made the playoffs for the first time since the COVID Bubble. He is also seen as the future of the Australian National Team. This is especially the case after a strong individual performance at the recent FIBA World Cup.

Lil Yachty Bets Against Akademiks In Saucy Santana Fight

No one could’ve predicted that Saucy Santana would be the only rapper to instill fear in Akademiks. The media personality’s been at war with the “Material Girl” rapper in the last few weeks after Ak’s comments about the City Girls. Naturally, Saucy Santana leaped to the defense of JT and Yung Miami, unleashing a barrage of insults and even threatening to sexually assault Akademiks if they ever came face-to-face. Although Ak did let out a few tears in response, he still seems okay to go toe-to-toe with Saucy Santana.

Most recently, Akademiks appeared on Lil Yachty’s A Safe Place podcast where he discussed the feud. However, Yachty, who has praised Saucy Santana in the past, doesn’t think Akademiks has the muscle to take on the Florida-based rapper. “I really think he would really like beat you,” Lil Yachty told Akademiks with a grin on his face. “He’s not a little guy.” Although Akademiks said that he wouldn’t find a gay man, he feels that the outcome would work in his favor if he fought Saucy. “If there was any fear of me and that mothaf*cka, I’d put him down like a sick dog,” Akademiks said.

Akademiks Explains Crying On Camera

Lil Yachty dived into the topic further, specifically regarding the infamous clip of Akademiks dropping tears. Comparing himself to a prize fighter, Akademiks felt as though people praised Saucy Santana for finally breaking him. “I’ll tell you why the tears happened. I felt like I was in a catch 22. It was like you handle yourself impeccably when you’re talking about anyone who comes against you but this is someone who — he is in a protected class. And whether people want to admit it or not, being a homosexual man in America — just being homosexual, period — you can’t speak on the LGBTQ community like how they oculd speak about you,” Ak continued.

Yung Miami Eggs On Saucy Santana Amid Akademiks Beef

Yung Miami isn’t holding back Saucy Santana after she got into it with DJ Akademiks. Following Santana’s heated response to Ak, Yung Miami chimed in on her Instagram Story. Sharing a photo of Santana’s arm with his finger pointing, Miami wrote, “And when I send you this, it means meet me in the streets p*ssa*ss h0.” The photo was accompanied by a snippet of Drake’s scathing verse on Rick Ross’ “Stay Schemin” alongside French Montana.

This came after Saucy Santana and Akademiks issued shots at one another. After Saucy leaped to Miami’s defense, he and Akademiks got into an epithet-fueled shot at one another. However, Santana took it a step further in his latest video where he threatened to sexually assault Akademiks after beating him up.

Saucy Santana Leaps To Yung Miami’s Defense

It all began when Akademiks went in on the first week sales for City Girls’ new album, RAW, which moved about 10K in its first week. It’s an underwhelming figure, although there was little promotion or announcement before its release. “I talked to almost the head of the RIAA […] they told me this shit went 15x plastic,” Ak said on his stream after the album debuted at #117 on the Billboard 200. “They said, ‘Ak, this is the first triple plastic certification we’ve given out.’ He said the last time they dropped a record, it went double styrofoam, but now we gotta go to plastic.”

At first, Miami slyly quoted Meek Mill on X (formerly Twitter) when she responded to Akademiks’ comments. “IF YOU AIN’T ABOUT THAT MURDER GAME THEN PUSSY N***A SHUT UP PLEASEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!” Miami wrote. However, Santana came in afterward and berated Akademiks for frequently trying to have issues with women. He even brought up Akademiks’ recent spat with GloRilla over the weekend. Chrisean Rock has gained a slew of adversaries during her time in the limelight. Although her feud with her soon-to-be baby daddy, Blueface, has been highlighted over the years, she’s also faced criticism across the internet from notable personalities and the average social media user. Akademiks has undoubtedly been one of her most vocal critics, along with Blueface’s and finally, they addressed their issues with each other face-to-face. On the Zeus Network’s official Instagram, Chrisean and Akademiks took a moment to confront each other.

Akademiks kicked things off, explaining how he couldn’t celebrate Chrisean’s pregnancy due to her behavior. Although Ak said that he only gave her “fair criticism,” Chrisean said that he needed to step into the ring. “You’ve been moving like a violent beast on that network. I told you. I can’t co-sign a woman’s pregnancy when it’s supposed to be full of joy and love, acting the way you do,” Akademiks told her. However, Chrisean defended her actions, stating, “People get sh*t thrown at them all the time. It’s what comes with being a star.”

Akademiks & Chrisean Rock Kick Off 

Ak explained his initial criticism surrounded her relationship with Blueface. However, she asked why he’s involving herself in her relationship.” Ak responded that she’s making millions of dollars by publicizing her relationship in the first place. He brought up the bottle incident while the CEO of Zeus explained that they don’t follow the couple 24/7. “I don’t like how you just threw that n***a to the curb after you sucked out all the clout out of him… you told that n***a he irrelevant and then now, you’re saying, ‘I’m a star’ and God did it for you. Blueface was right about that,” Akademiks told Chrisean. “I ain’t suck nothing out of that n***a. He sucked the life out of my dumba*s,” she responded.

Still, Chrisean Rock didn’t hold back on her criticism towards Akademiks. “This n***a don’t pick a side. One minute when he talkin’ sh*t about me, one minute he talkin’ sh*t about Blue. One minute he takin’ up for Blue,” she said. “Your fat ass annoying, you always got something to say.” In response, Ak stated, “You annoying too. We only know you for beating your baby daddy up.” That’s when Chrisean Rock said that he’s only getting clout for hopping on his live before presumably shutting down the Live. DJ Akademiks Accuses Punch Of TDE Of Trying To “Suge Knight” Him Over SZA Rant

DJ Akademiks recently inspired the ire of the Internet for going on an impassioned, bizarre, and fat-shaming rant against SZA. If he thought he could do so without getting targeted by her label, TDE, then he was sorely mistaken. Moreover, its president Punch tweeted and deleted a message for the social media personality. “Man I’ve been so conflicted the [past] couple of days as to address this dude publicly or not,” he expressed. “I’m not playing no internet games… He have to answer for those disrespectful things he said about SZA.”

Then, DJ Akademiks responded to Punch’s remarks while streaming on Rumble, and didn’t hold back. “None of y’all are Suge Knight,” the former Complex host started his clap-back. “You don’t strike fear in my heart. There is no, ‘Oh my God, he’s going to get me!’ I did content about the biggest killers in the world in Chicago. I’ve talked about the worst people you could imagine… I won’t be sitting here scared of an older n***a who claims he’s a ‘thug.’ Mr. Punch from TDE, you didn’t have to delete your tweet.

DJ Akademiks’ Rant Against TDE’s Punch

“I’m not scared of you,” Akademiks continued. “I don’t know nobody that’s scared of you and I don’t know nobody that would think you be doing nothing. So please, pipe down, and rather than delete the tweet, don’t send the tweet. Because if you look at my tweet history, I leave them up for all to see.” Also, he called Punch a hypocrite for his “lightweight coded threat,” and assessed it as “received, laughed at, and sent back.” “This is why we’re laughing: you’re tweeting [about how] you’re not playing internet games while you’re tweeting it!” Ak continued. “This is why I said y’all are not Suge Knight. Suge Knight wouldn’t give a nice proper warning and then delete the tweet. I don’t think he’d tweet at all.

“We’re not scared of none of you n***as,” the streamer concluded. “Listen, you guys have some great artists and I’m hoping you guys can put out music a little more frequently, just as the fan in me speaking. Megan Thee Stallion took the stage for the first time since Tory Lanez’s sentencing, and she had one strong message: “F*ck all my haters.”

Hot Girl Meg continued, “None of that shit you was doing or saying broke me.”

Tory Lanez‘s time behind bars for the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion will be closer to nine years instead of the previously sentenced 10. Lanez will get credit for the time served.

“Lanez will be credited for 231 days he’s already spent in jail,” court reporter Meghann Cuniff wrote on Twitter. “He gets 15% credit of 34 days. Herriford also is crediting his 40 days of house arrest, for a total of 305 days. He’ll request bail pending appeal, which will be heard Aug. 15.”

Cuniff also noted that the possibility of bail is extremely unlikely.

Tory Lanez will be behind bars for a while, serving time for his shooting of Megan Thee Stallion. Lanez’s lawyer, Jose Baez, spoke with TMZ and stated the rapper is “feeling pretty low” and is processing the sentence. He added that the Chixtape rapper would deal with the sentence as best as he could.

Baez also noted that Tory would lean on his faith in God and his fans and family’s support system. Baez also states that they are still fighting for an appeal.

Tory Lanez’s time is to be spent in a California state prison.

The verdict was delivered after a 10-minute argument by Alex Bott on behalf of prosecutors and 20 minutes of defense from Jose Baez. Judge Herriford issued the ruling.

During the hearing, Tory Lanez spoke for several minutes, according to reporter Meghann Cuniff, where he said Megan is “someone I still care for dearly to this day” and said, “the victim’s my friend.”

He also would speak about the mutual loss of their mothers. “We both lost our mothers. We would sit there and drink, and drink until we got numb,” Tory Lanez said.

Akademiks Welcomes a Lawsuit from Megan Thee Stallion: ‘I Can Say Whatever I Want’

DJ Akademiks has seen the messages on social media requesting he be sued for his statements about Megan Thee Stallion. He welcomes a suit and offers a sharp reply: “Suck dick, all y’all.”

“Here’s the facts. I can say whatever the fuck I want,” Ak said. “Because I have an audience, that’s y’all problem. I’m upping the ante because I think people really think n-ggas like me is bitches. Bring the lawsuit or I’m going to tell y’all to suck dick every day.”

DJ Akademiks still isn’t convinced that Tory Lanez shot Megan Thee Stallion. Sitting with Vlad TV last month, Ak revealed that he understands the verdict but still has questions.

“I thought he didn’t do it,” Akademiks said. “I’m a little doubtful, but the verdict is the verdict. I think the people who were reporting at court at that time were biased based on what they already though.”
