Boosie Badazz “Flexes” His Ankle Monitor At The BET Hip-Hop Awards: Watch

Boosie Badazz might be one of the goofiest personalities in the hip-hop community. The Baton Rouge, Louisiana native has been a character ever since he came into the rap game back in the beginning of the 2000s. He is mostly known for his crazy and unfiltered takes on a lot of things going on. It does not even need to consist of music either. However, there are also times like when he reached out to Vice President Kamala Harris over Twitter. Boosie, like Quavo, wanted to have serious talks about gun violence and how to find ways to put a stop to it.

This might have been a realization for the rapper, especially, after his recent arrest earlier this year. It occurred in Sand Diego, California and he was charged with a felon in possession of a firearm, concealed carry weapon in a vehicle, possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, and unlisted owner of a registered firearm. He was eventually a free man after some bonds, though.

This leads us up to yesterday when DJ Akademiks found some unique footage surrounding Boosie. The recording for the 2023 BET Hip-Hop Awards took place on October 3 and they are set to go live on October 10. Boosie made an appearance after getting tickets from BET. During the photoshoots Boosie “flexes” his ankle monitor. He is acting like you would expect from the rapper. However, quite a few fans were blasting him on the IG post from Akademiks. “N**** celebrating being government property.” Another says, “Mans is almost 50 REALLY thinking this s*** is cool.”

What are your initial thoughts on Boosie Badazz displaying his ankle monitor for the cameras at the BET Awards? Why do you think he did this? Are you going to be tuning into the award show when it premiers on October 10? We want to hear what you have to say about all of this. Glorilla Defends 2023 BET Awards Performance: “I Wanted To Be Sexy”

Glorilla took to Instagram to defend her recent 2023 BET Awards performance of “Lick or Sum.” Speaking to her fans on the platform, the Memphis rapper argued that she wanted to “be sexy” on the stage. “Y’all wanted me to be up there dancing like Chief Keef,” she joked. “I wanted to be sexy.”

In response to the live stream being shared to The Neighborhood Talk, fans had mixed feelings. One complained “It just wasn’t smooth like it didn’t flow and it had nothing to do with the music.” On the other hand, many fans defended Glorilla’s change of pace. “The way you come in the industry is the way people want you to come out the industry so you betta choose wisely cause that first impression mean everything cause once you switch up from what they used to it might go downhill,” one commented.

Glorilla’s performance came ahead of the publication of an interview she did with Rolling Stone, in which she explained how she sets herself apart from other female rappers. “I know a lot of dudes, they won’t ride around listening to no girl that sounds like a girl because they are going to be like, ‘Oh, I’m being pussy,’” GloRilla said. “But they hear me, and now [they say], ‘She slick sound like one of us.’ I say shit that’s for females, but it’s stuff that n-ggas can say in reverse. I actually like going through shit sometimes because it makes me perfect my craft.”

Offset Said His BET Awards Performance With Quavo Cleared His Soul And Called Migos ‘The Greatest Group To Ever Do It’

This year’s BET Awards still has everyone talking. One of the highlights of the evening was Offset and Quavo‘s reunion during their tribute to fallen Migos member, Takeoff.

The performance came after months of rumors that Offset and Quavo had been beefing — rumors that began months before Takeoff’s death this past November. This past Thursday (June 29), Offset took to Instagram live to break down how the performance came together. It seems like there’s nothing but love between him and Quavo.”

“The BET performance was iconic man,” said Offset. “It cleared my soul. Me and my brother Qua, we put that together within 16 hours. Like 15 hours. We land from Paris like at 9 P.M. and go straight to work to figure out how we gon’ put the show together man.”

During rehearsals, the two didn’t sleep, and the secured the performance’s visual components within the span of less than a day. Because of this, Offset deemed the Migos “real stars.”

He also doubled down on the positive sentiments toward Quavo, seemingly assuring fans that there’s no long beef between the two of them.

“Me and Qua stood tall, brother to brother,” Offset said. “You dig what I’m saying? And I appreciate everybody for supporting, man. It was a movie, it was a vibe…And you know, when you put the three heads together, it’s always gon’ be cinematic. It’s always gon’ be the truth. It’s always gon’ be Godly. Thank God for that moment. And like I said, RIP to Take. Y’all know how we coming about my brother. And we did it for Take. And we still don’t take. That’s our legacy. Migos forever. The greatest group to ever do it.”

Offset Reveals BET Awards Performance With Quavo Was Put Together In 16 Hours

During a recent Instagram Live, Offset shared details of his performance alongside Quavo at the 2023 BET Awards. He called the show “iconic,” going on to reveal that it only took a total of around 16 hours to put together. The artist also explained that they did the performance for Takeoff, the late Migos’ member who passed away in 2022. “We’re the greatest group to ever touch the mic,” Offset says, “R.I.P. to my brother [Takeoff].”

Me and [Quavo] stood tall,” he explained, thanking all of his fans for their support. “It was a movie,” Offset continues, “It was a vibe, we needed that for the culture.” The surprise performance stunned their fans and peers alike. T.I. weighed in backstage, calling the show “Goddamn monumental.” He went on to say it’s “something they gonna be talking about ten years from now.” It was the duo’s first time performing together since Takeoff’s death. The show featured pyrotechnics, and a massive projection of their late Migos’ collaborator projected behind them.

Offset Says They Did The Show For Takeoff

The recent reunion got fans hoping that Offset and Quavo may be coming out with some new music together in the near future. Sadly, it was reported earlier this week that they plan on holding off for now. Viewers were eager to see the two get together after backstage beef that reportedly took place at the 2023 Grammy Awards. Reports suggested that the fight surrounded another tribute to Takeoff, and even involved Offset’s wife Cardi B. After the alleged physical altercation, Offset took to social media to deny it ever occurred. He also called those making the accusations “crazy.”

Patrick Xavier Clark was formally charged for Takeoff’s murder last month. Offset previously shared that his final collaboration with his Migos’ collaborator will be on his next album. The album has also been confirmed to feature Travis Scott, Cardi B, Chloe Bailey, Latto, and Future.

Trick Daddy has come to the defense of JT after the City Girls rapper threw her phone at Lil Uzi Vert and stormed out of the 2023 BET Awards. A nearby attendee recorded the incident between JT and Uzi and it quickly went viral on social media after the event. It was initially rumored that Uzi flirting with Ice Spice was the cause of the spat. A rep. for JT later confirmed to TMZ that this wasn’t the case. They claimed that the fight “had nothing to do with Ice” and instead she “had become frustrated when she lost her seat after the audience shuffled around.” Check out Trick Daddy’s comments on the situation above.
