Drake Joins Lil Wayne & 2 Chainz On Stage At Club LIV For DJ Stevie J’s Birthday

Club LIV is still the place to be in Miami on Sunday nights. This week, Lil Wayne, Drake and 2 Chainz hit the stage for DJ Stevie J’s birthday and delivered some bangers.

Drake, Lil Wayne, and 2 Chainz appeared on stage together at the famous Miami club this week. Chainz and Weezy largely handled performance duties while Drizzy stood on the side and rapped along. However, Drake later gave the fans an impromptu performance of a few records.

Wayne, who hosted the event, breezed through records like “Steady Mobbin” and “A Milli,” while 2 Chainz performed songs like “Watch Out.”

Clearly, it was a high for Drizzy, who revealed his big NFC Championship win on Stake moments before. The rapper bet on the Philadelphia Eagles, who won 31-7 against San Francisco 49ers.

Eventually, the Canadian rapper grabbed the microphone and blessed fans with a slew of anthems. The brief performance included “The Motto” and Her Loss intro, “Rich Flex.

The brief performance from Drizzy comes a week after he took the stage at Harlem’s Apollo Theater. The back-to-back concerts found Drizzy going through his catalog to bless fans with a rare show while also teasing what he has in store for 2023. He brought out Lil Uzi Vert and Dipset, as well as 21 Savage, who will join Drizzy on the It’s All A Blur tour this summer.

As for Wayne and 2 Chainz, the two hinted at the release of Collegrove 2 last year. Perhaps, we’ll see that project come out at some point this year.

2 Chainz Finds Late Father’s Cash Stash After Plumber Fixes Broken Pipe in House

Amazon Music Live – New Concert Series Hosted by 2 Chainz Starting October 27 Amazon Music 0 2 screenshot 1

It’s not everyday you’ll find a random stash of cash in the basement of your home, and even more so from your late father. Today, 2 Chainz shared to his 11.9 million followers on Instagram a video of himself running his hands through a bunch of rolled-up one-dollar bills placed there by his father.

The discovery occurred after a pipe burst in 2 Chainz’ basement when the plumber found a gifted bag full of money. “”In the video, you can hear someone telling the Atlanta native, “He did this, this is before you were born.” The caption reads “RIP POPS” with three money emojis, and a thinking emoji to start.

While no details have been made on exactly how long the stash has been there, 2 Chainz has been vocal about his relationship with his father, who passed away in 2012. During an interview with Fuse, Tity Boi refers to his father as his “best friend” and opened up on the sometimes complicated dynamic within a father and son relationship.

“Father-and-son relationships, it’s a lot of masculinity,” 2 Chainz reflects. “You’re taught to be strong. You’re taught to fight back. You’re taught not to cry. Losing him, I definitely lost somebody that I could trust, confide in, and communicate with about a lot of different things and talk to. But even that experience of losing him made me stronger.”

2 Chainz also stated that making music was “therapeutic” for him to help cope with the grief in losing his father.

In an interview with Angie Martinez on Hot 97, 2 Chainz states, “All these good things are happening, my pops was actually my best friend. I don’t have any brothers or sisters, so me and him had a relationship to where I told him things that I wouldn’t tell anyone else. Or I asked him for advice.”

He continues,” It’s crazy, I was there the whole time. Even when he passed, I was right there. It’s like, ‘Man you got a tour to do, you got an album about to come out’. He’s saying little things like I’m a be alright. Really, I be talking to him like he’s still there. I can’t believe you did this bro. I know it’s cool to say, but I can’t believe you left me.”

On the music tip, 2 Chainz is currently gearing up to release his collaborative project with Lil Wayne, which fans have been waiting for since their 2016 ColleGrove tape.

In an interview with Akademiks, 2 Chainz explains, “I feel super excited about this fucking project because it don’t sound like nothing I’ve ever heard before. And doing something like that with Wayne, it’s welcoming, it’s warming and it’s going to be accepted.”

2 Chainz Finds Father’s Stash Of Cash While Fixing Broken Pipe

He’s often spoken about his pain after losing his father, but 2 Chainz got a surprise that brought on fond memories of his dad. It seems that the rapper was doing a bit of work around his home when a broken pipe revealed a secret stash. Chainz believes the cash was hidden away by his father.

2 Chainz shared a video online where he showed off a bag filled with rolled-up bills. “I had a busted pipe in the basement,” he said. “They fixed my basement and then they found, um, I guess it’s my pops’ old stash.”

Further, in July 2022, 2 Chainz honored his father on the 10-year anniversary of his passing. In 2012, the rapper sat down with Angie Martinez to detail what it was like when his father died.

“I was there the whole time, even when he passed, I was right there. It was just something,” said Chainz. “And it was like, ‘Man, you got a tour to do. You got an album coming out.’ He was saying little things like I’mma be alight, and really I just be talking to him like he still here.”

21 Savage performed at RED Studios in Hollywood for the season finale of Amazon Music Live Concert Series, hosted by 2 Chainz. Savage kicked up the event with his smash track “Jimmy Cooks,” which debuted at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. He also played “X,” “rockstar,” “Bank Account,” “Ball w/o you,” and “Rich Flex” from his latest joint album with Drake Her Loss. The album began with sixteen tracks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and went on to have the biggest week for an R&B/hip-hop collection of the year and the fourth-largest streaming week for any album.

This event follows Savage’s recognition by the state of Georgia as an exceptional citizen for his ongoing philanthropic activities in the community and nationally with his ‘bank account’ financial literacy initiative. Savage was recognized with a proclamation declaring December 21st (12/21) as “21 Savage Day” across the state of Georgia, presented by State Representative Billy Mitchell (District 88). This year, 21 Savage and his Leading by Example Foundation sponsored their 4th annual Holiday Grant-A-Wish Event, inviting 100 Atlanta parents and children to the Wade Walker Park Family YMCA for an evening packed with gifts like as Moolah wifi free iPads, Christmas goodies, and holiday cheer.

21 Savage Performed His Hits With Drake And Metro Boomin For The Amazon Music Live 2022 Season Finale

21 Savage bodied his Amazon Music Live concert the way Dallas Cowboys fans thought their team would handle the Tennessee Titans, primarily starting their backups, on Thursday Night Football on Thursday night, December 29. The Cowboys won, 27-13, but Amazon Prime’s main event was unquestionably 21’s performance after the game — closing out the 2022 season of Amazon Music Live, hosted by 2 Chainz.

As the pre-show co-hosts Hannah Rad and Amber Wallin put it, Amazon Music Live tapped 21 to put a cherry on top of ’22 before we enter 2023.

In other words, 21 Savage had something for everyone’s tastes — from seminal solo songs like “Bank Account” and “Ball W/O You” to his and Drake’s new Her Loss hits and deeper cuts from his sprawling discography with Metro Boomin. To end the nearly hour-long set, 21 Savage said that Drake couldn’t make it out to the show and asked for the audience to help him with “Rich Flex,” peaking at No. 2 on the Hot 100 and supplying plenty of memes.
