2 Chainz Finds Father’s Stash Of Cash While Fixing Broken Pipe

He’s often spoken about his pain after losing his father, but 2 Chainz got a surprise that brought on fond memories of his dad. It seems that the rapper was doing a bit of work around his home when a broken pipe revealed a secret stash. Chainz believes the cash was hidden away by his father.

2 Chainz shared a video online where he showed off a bag filled with rolled-up bills. “I had a busted pipe in the basement,” he said. “They fixed my basement and then they found, um, I guess it’s my pops’ old stash.”

Further, in July 2022, 2 Chainz honored his father on the 10-year anniversary of his passing. In 2012, the rapper sat down with Angie Martinez to detail what it was like when his father died.

“I was there the whole time, even when he passed, I was right there. It was just something,” said Chainz. “And it was like, ‘Man, you got a tour to do. You got an album coming out.’ He was saying little things like I’mma be alight, and really I just be talking to him like he still here.”

21 Savage performed at RED Studios in Hollywood for the season finale of Amazon Music Live Concert Series, hosted by 2 Chainz. Savage kicked up the event with his smash track “Jimmy Cooks,” which debuted at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. He also played “X,” “rockstar,” “Bank Account,” “Ball w/o you,” and “Rich Flex” from his latest joint album with Drake Her Loss. The album began with sixteen tracks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and went on to have the biggest week for an R&B/hip-hop collection of the year and the fourth-largest streaming week for any album.

This event follows Savage’s recognition by the state of Georgia as an exceptional citizen for his ongoing philanthropic activities in the community and nationally with his ‘bank account’ financial literacy initiative. Savage was recognized with a proclamation declaring December 21st (12/21) as “21 Savage Day” across the state of Georgia, presented by State Representative Billy Mitchell (District 88). This year, 21 Savage and his Leading by Example Foundation sponsored their 4th annual Holiday Grant-A-Wish Event, inviting 100 Atlanta parents and children to the Wade Walker Park Family YMCA for an evening packed with gifts like as Moolah wifi free iPads, Christmas goodies, and holiday cheer.

21 Savage Performed His Hits With Drake And Metro Boomin For The Amazon Music Live 2022 Season Finale

21 Savage bodied his Amazon Music Live concert the way Dallas Cowboys fans thought their team would handle the Tennessee Titans, primarily starting their backups, on Thursday Night Football on Thursday night, December 29. The Cowboys won, 27-13, but Amazon Prime’s main event was unquestionably 21’s performance after the game — closing out the 2022 season of Amazon Music Live, hosted by 2 Chainz.

As the pre-show co-hosts Hannah Rad and Amber Wallin put it, Amazon Music Live tapped 21 to put a cherry on top of ’22 before we enter 2023.

The concert was streamed live on Amazon Music and Twitch from Hollywood. Savage commanded a vast stage, encouraging the crowd to yell “hell yeah” several times and honoring the late Virgil Abloh between “No Heart” and “X,” two tracks off his and Metro Boomin’s 2016 Savage Mode album. He also delivered two No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 smashes he was featured on, Drake’s “Jimmy Cooks” and Post Malone’s “Rockstar.”

In other words, 21 Savage had something for everyone’s tastes — from seminal solo songs like “Bank Account” and “Ball W/O You” to his and Drake’s new Her Loss hits and deeper cuts from his sprawling discography with Metro Boomin. To end the nearly hour-long set, 21 Savage said that Drake couldn’t make it out to the show and asked for the audience to help him with “Rich Flex,” peaking at No. 2 on the Hot 100 and supplying plenty of memes.
