R&B singer Donell Jones is thanking God he’s alive after falling asleep at the wheel and driving his car into a ditch. The singer showed the graphic photos that could have been deadly if the ditch didn’t stop his car.

The ‘Where I wanna be’ singer gave a brief description about his almost fatal night.

I fell asleep while driving yesterday and ended up in a ditch.. I walk away with no injuries but I learned a valuable lesson, That if you’re tired just park the car cause this could’ve been bad…. I know that I am truly protected but I needed this experience…. Thank you God for wrapping your arms around me as you have always done… My love and loyalty is to you.. 🙏🏾👌🏾

We’ve seen this tragedy happen over and over again and we’re glad Donell is safe. If you’re feeling tired while sleeping, pull over and rest. Listen to your body.

Tina Knowles-Lawson Shares Photo With Blue Ivy For 11th Birthday

Over the weekend, Tina Knowles-Lawson took to her Instagram to pen a letter to her granddaughter, Blue Ivy Carter. Celebrating her 11th birthday, the former fashion designer spoke about her long list of talents, admitting, “there’s really nothing that you can’t do.”

Sharing a photo of her and Blue Ivy posing at the beach, she wrote, “The day that you were born was one of the best days of my life. I was really praying and pushing your mom to have you on January 4 which is my birthday…but like your auntie Solo you decided to come when you were good and damn ready and that was on January 7 three days after my birthday.”

“Knowing you and your personality now, I realize that you needed your own day because you were such a queen and you are so very special! You can sing dance, play basketball, play, volleyball, paint draw, sculpt, sew, write poetry, write songs, create, act, play the piano! I could go on and on. Because there’s really nothing that you can’t do,” the Texas native continued.

“You are funny and beautiful and graceful, Kind, and so smart,” Knowles-Lawson then wrote. “I could not ask for a better granddaughter Ms. Blue Ivy Carter! I could not be more blessed, grateful, and completely in love with another human. You truly bring me joy!!”

Jay-Z and Beyoncé welcomed Blue Ivy in 2012, and she has definitely been making a name for herself ever since. Featured in the WizKid and SAINt JHN collab “Brown Skin Girl,” she earned a Grammy for the song’s music video in 2021, making her the second youngest person to ever receive the honor.

At last year’s Academy Award show, Blue Ivy also accompanied her mother as she sang and performed “Be Alive,” part of the King Richard soundtrack, proving that talent and artistry simply run in the family.

Twitter Reacts To Jerrod Carmichael Telling Golden Globes Audience To Shut Up

The 80th Golden Globe Awards went down in Beverly Hills, California on Tuesday evening and Jerrod Carmichael definitely made it a night to remember. Hosting the award show, the 35-year-old made it clear on stage that he wasn’t tolerating the excessive noise, and directly told the crowd to shut up.

“Yo, yo, yo,” Carmichael said, trying to quiet the attendants down. “I didn’t think I’d spend this much time telling y’all to shut the f**k up.”

After being met with mild laughter, the comedian continued, “Everybody relax. This is a live show here. Shut up!”

Though this was Carmichael’s first time hosting the Golden Globes, one Twitter user joked online that it could also be his last, saying, “Bout to be the first and last time Jerrod Carmichael host The Golden Globe.”

“Jerrod Carmichael dressed in his “colors are blush and bashful” yelling at the most famous people to “shut up” like he’s your parents trying to hear the TV has me howling,” another wrote.

Carmichael hosted “Saturday Night Live” last year shortly after coming out in his HBO special “Rothanial.”

In a sit-down with GQ, the stand-up comic opened up about his sexuality, saying that “secret sex is the most fun sex, unfortunately. But, no more of that. Now I’m open and able to show emotion or show affection.”

“I don’t run from it,” he continued, adding, “I mean, there’s definitely still walls and I’ve still got to figure shit out, but the funniest shit on Raya is the girls that I matched with that I never responded to, a couple of them hit me and were like, ‘Ohhhh, okay. I get it now.’”

The North Carolina native has added hosting to his resume, but he also told the magazine that he doesn’t want to wear too many hats.

“I think you should show a discernible skill and be good at something. I hate when a female singer has a decent voice but they suck at dancing. B***h, stop moving. Be like Adele, just stand there. Whitney Houston made ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody,’ and she can’t dance! But who cares, because her voice was great,” he shared.

“I think [standup] is a natural way of communicating for me. I think I probably communicate better, in many ways, on stage than off, and can be more honest.”

SZA’s New Video For ‘Kill Bill’ Is As Bloody As You’d Expect

SZA‘s new album S.O.S., the long-awaited follow-up to the critically-acclaimed Ctrl, has been No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart for four weeks now. The track with the most success has been the mischievous, relentlessly catchy “Kill Bill,” which topped the charts as well. She teased a video for it at the end of December, and now it’s finally out.

Considering the cinematic, violent nature of the song (“I might kill my ex, I still love him though / Rather be in jail than alone,” she sings on the chorus), the video had to be intense. And it is. It kicks off with a round of many gunshots, not shot by SZA, though. However, she makes it out alive, and later procures a sword for a tumultuous sword fight. Inspired by Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill, the video has a cameo from Vivica A. Fox, who was in the iconic film.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly last month, she said, “I love Vivica A. Fox’s character. I love Lucy Liu’s character. I even love Bill because he’s super complex. I feel like he doesn’t understand why he did what he did. He’s void of emotion, but he loved The Bride so much that he couldn’t stand her to be with anyone else.”

Tory Lanez Hires New Legal Team Ahead Of Sentencing

Following Tory Lanez’s guilty verdict last month, the singer has apparently decided to bring on a new legal team. After hiring David Kenner, who previously represented Suge Knight, Lanez is also now working with Matthew Barhoma.

Famously covering Lanez’s recent trial, legal reporter Meghan Cuniff shared on Twitter Tuesday, “Just in: Tory Lanez has another new lawyer, in addition to David Kenner. Matthew Barhoma ‘is known for his successes in vacating convictions for numerous defendants who faced wrongful and overzealous prosecutions and unjust charges.’ He is in the hallway with Kenner now.”

In another tweet, Cuniff then shared that Lanez’s sentencing was pushed back as his team seeks a new trial.

“Rapper Tory Lanez’s sentencing for shooting Megan Thee Stallion has been rescheduled from Jan. 27 to Feb. 28 as his new lawyers prepare to ask the judge to grant him a new trial. This was finalized in court a few minutes ago,” she also tweeted.

The “Say It” singer was represented by George Mgdesyan in his recent shooting case. But he was nonetheless found guilty on all charges, including assault with a semi-automatic firearm (personal use of a firearm).

Making it clear that he and Lanez didn’t have a falling out, Mgdesyan previously shared that he simply needed to hire a lawyer who specialized in appeals. He reportedly called him a “friend” and also revealed, “I don’t do appeals, so we had to get somebody on board to handle the appeal.”

Lanez, who was convicted of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in 2020, is currently sitting behind bars as he awaits his sentencing. He could be looking at over 20 years in prison.

Check back in with HNHH for new updates on Lanez’s sentencing and potential appeals.

Lawyer David Kenner Denies Representing Suge Knight In Hit-and-Run Case After Being Hired By Tory Lanez

As previously reported, recently convicted rapper Tory Lanez has hired renowned criminal defense attorney David Kenner, the lawyer who famously represented the Death Row roster, to argue his case while in the appellate phase of his case. Even there are several pictures that contradict Kenner’s new claim, but he contends that he never represented Suge Knight in the hit-and-run case that killed Terry Carter and sent him to prison for 28 years.

Law & Crime reporter Meghann Cuniff broke the news about Lanez hiring Kenner and simultaneously touched on the fact that Kenner did not represent Knight in his hit-and-run case, but in a a robbery case in which the former Death Row CEO received probation.

Lanez appeal has yet to be scheduled, but with kenner’s track record and the controversy surrounding his trial, there’s a possibility that Lanez could be out of jail sooner than expected.

Even though Uncle Snoop is one of the most tenured artists in the game, he is still one of the most successful with the longevity of a rock star. That’s why even at 51 years old, Snoop still has skills with the pill.

Snoop showed off his hops on the b-ball court at a Los Angeles gym with a couple of old friends. The Doggfather wasted no time taking it to the baseline and throwing it through the hoop with this right hand, followed by cheers and applause by everyone close enough to witness it.

5 friends who remained solid and stayed true 1988 on the left. 2023 on the right. Love y’all cuz,” the West Coast legend captioned.

Before he was the legendary Long beach slang spitter, Snoop was even recruited by several colleges for his basketball skills but decided not to further pursue his hoop dreams.
