Bad Bunny Joins Grupo Frontera For Surprise Single & Music Video, “un x100to”

After an epic weekend at Coachella, both on the stage and in the crowd, Bad Bunny is starting our week off right with a new single. For his latest release, the Bullet Train actor teamed up with Mexican norteño band, Grupo Frontera, to create a unique piece of music called “un x100to,” which translates to “one percent,” as Hypebae notes. The single landed on Monday (April 17), along with an accompanying music video that finds Bunny standing out amongst his collaborators in a bright-blue outfit while they dress down in cowboy-style clothing.

Upon sharing “un x 100to,” the 29-year-old spoke with Zane Lowe of Apple Music 1 about his experience making the song. “I really love Grupo Frontera because I think they have a lot of feelings in their songs. I love the way that they perform and they made it with the heart just like me,” Bunny shared while giving the foreign group their flowers. He seemed pleased in his decision to step away from his usual sounds, explaining, “It’s very necessary because the world needed, I think the world needed to know more about all culture, the Latin culture. Another perspective is not only reggaeton and perreo and urban music. There are also other very beautiful and very wild genres of Latin music.”

Grupo Frontera and Bad Bunny Collaborate on “un x100to”

The “La Jumpa” artist is likely riding on a high right now following his historic Coachella performance this past weekend. Fans saw him bring out Post Malone and other guests, and though he was hit with technical difficulties, Bunny carried on like a champ. Now, he gets to prepare to do it all over again this coming Friday (April 21).

Tune into Bad Bunny and Grupo Frontera’s new visual on YouTube above, or add the collab track to your playlist on Spotify/Apple Music. Who else would you like to see the Puerto Rican artist collaborate with this year? Let us know in the comments, and check back in later this week for more release updates on our Fire Emoji update.

Baby, ya yo sé que a ti te va bien
Que de mí tú no quieres saber, ey, ey

Donald Trump Interviewed On Full Send Podcast

Former president Donald Trump has been in the news practically every day since he took office. Unfortunately, things have not been looking great for him recently. His indictment by a New York grand jury no doubt has him scrambling for any good publicity he can possibly get. However, the further down the conspiracy rabbit hole the former president goes, the less people in the mainstream media want to do with him. Although Trump still has supporters, his numbers seem to be dwindling. As such, he needs to get his name back out there any way he can. Now, he looks to have joined the ranks of other controversial guests on Full Send Podcast.

Full Send Podcast is a popular show hosted by Nelk, a group of Canadian internet personalities. They were known for their comedic videos on YouTube. In the podcast, Nelk members Jesse Sebastiani, Kyle Forgeard, and Lucas Gasparini discuss a variety of topics, share stories, and bring in guests. The podcast covers areas such as their adventures, experiences in the entertainment industry, comedy, sports, and pop culture. Known for its humor and sometimes controversial content, the Full Send Podcast has gained a large following among Nelk fans and beyond. The podcast often plays host to polarizing guests like Donald Trump, Jr, Ben Shapiro, and now former President Trump himself.

Trump On Full Send: Publicity Stunt Or Platform?

As a former President of the United States and a controversial figure in politics, Donald Trump’s appearance as a guest on the Full Send Podcast would likely generate significant attention. The former president is well-known for his outspoken and unfiltered style. As such, Trump’s presence on the podcast would likely result in an engaging and lively conversation. Trump could potentially share insights and stories about his time in politics. However, given the polarizing nature of Trump’s political career, his appearance on the Full Send Podcast would likely also spark debate and discussion among listeners, with opinions ranging from excitement to criticism.

A picture of the Full Send Podcast hosts posing with Trump was posted online. In the photo, each of them smiling with a thumbs up. This calls into question what type of interview we might be looking at here. Are the hosts planning to ask the former president difficult questions? Or are they there simple to let him speak his piece? It could also be a huge publicity stunt. The real question is whether or not we should be expanding the platform of a person like Trump to begin with. What do you think about the news? Will you listen to the former president’s interview on the podcast? Let us know in the comments!

Gilbert Arenas Claims He Was Better Than Steph Curry at 25

Gilbert Arenas was once a megastar for the Washington Wizards. It seemed as if every night, “Agent 0” was putting on a memorable performance. Arenas was on pace to be one of the greatest to ever play the game. However, injuries robbed him of such an amazing career. Still, everyone remembers the play he was before the injuries. Even Arenas himself knows how talented he was at one time. On a recent episode of the I Am Athlete Podcast, Arenas discussed his talents pre-injury.

However, the discussion then went to if Arenas thought he was better than Steph Curry. That’s when Arenas didn’t hesitate. Arenas believes he was better than Curry, to a certain extent. The former Wizards star stated that if you cut both players’ careers at 25, then he is better than Curry. However, Arenas admits that all-time career, Curry’s resume can’t be matched. To listen to what Arenas had to say on the podcast, check out the video below.

Gilbert Arenas Embraces His Greatness

Arenas discusses the accolades he achieved in such a short period of time. Even mentioning his all-star and all-team achievements stood at 25. Arenas went even further by saying Curry wasn’t a champion by 25. The argument does change when you put the age limit at 25. However, injuries are sadly a part of the game. Which is something Curry knows all about as well. However, this discussion will for sure spark highly contested arguments amongst NBA fans. Arenas makes a compelling case. However, is the argument fair when discussing who is better between the two?

Curry will for sure hear about this clip sooner or later. However, the four-time NBA champion is undoubtedly keeping his focus on the playoffs. Curry’s Warriors lost an exciting game one to the Sacramento Kings. However, that one loss isn’t going to stop the reigning NBA champions from coming back with a vengeance. Gilbert Arenas’ comments are fun to discuss. But the who is better argument is always an all-time discussion. Not a pick and choose of what years can be compared. For the latest NBA news, keep it locked in here with HNHH.

Met Gala 2023: What Does Anna Wintour’s Guest List Shakeup Really Mean?

The Met Gala, the fashion world’s most prestigious event, seems to be gearing up for a transformation this year. The gala, famous for its glamour, elegance, and creativity, has been criticized in recent years. Insiders say it’s being overrun by influencers and reality stars. Among the most famous are the Kardashians, who showed up as a pack last year, wearing some questionable outfits. According to insiders, Anna Wintour, Vogue‘s editor-in-chief, has had enough of the infamous family.

It’s argued that the Kardashians simply aren’t interesting, relevant, or A-list enough. Additionally, Wintour is rumored to be furious that Marilyn Monroe’s iconic gold dress was irreparably damaged. Although Kim lost weight to fit it, her overfilled backside made the dress impossible to fasten.

Wintour is the undisputed queen of fashion and style. Her guidance has been instrumental in shaping the Met Gala since she first took charge in 1995. Under Wintour’s leadership, the event has become an iconic and exclusive gathering. It pushes the boundaries of fashion and attracts the industry’s biggest names. The gala is known for its unique themes and Wintour’s love of creativity, style, and risk-taking.

Anna Wintour Is Cracking Down On The Guest List

However, in recent years, the Met Gala has seen a shift. Social media influencers, reality TV stars, and B and C listers with massive online followings have replaced real talent. The Kardashian clan is only one example. Although Kim debuted at the event in 2013, it’s commonly accepted that it was only because she was Kanye West’s plus-one. Additionally, sources close to Wintour say that even West is out now following his xenophobic and anti-Semitic statements.

However, it appears that the tide is turning. Insiders claim that Anna Wintour wants to return the event’s focus to its roots. She is prioritizing true fashion icons and established celebrities over influencers. The 2023 Met Gala’s theme, “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” hints at a return to high fashion’s core values. Meanwhile, the Kardashians are adamant that this is not true. Taking to social media, momager Kris and the rest of the girls have vehemently denied these rumors. Theories run the gamut, from a PR stunt to haters spreading lies.

Met Gala 2023: Bethenny Frankel’s Hot Takes

Although Wintour is tight-lipped about the guest list, insiders are spilling. The latest round of invite drama is that Kim is back in. However, sources swore just a week before that the Kardashians were cut from the 2023 Gala guest list. Bethenny Frankel, former Real Housewives of New York City star, weighed in on the situation. In a recent Page Six item, Frankel said that Wintour might be aiming to “class it up.” She further said that distancing the event from reality TV and social media stars is no accident.

Frankel also touched on the relationship between the fashion industry and the mega-wealthy. She suggested that money’s influence has allowed some stars to buy their way into the style spotlight. This sentiment echoes Wintour’s past statements and her focus on maintaining the integrity of the exclusive Met Gala event.

Anna Wintour’s commitment to fashion is evident throughout her career, having navigated the challenges of an ever-changing industry. In a 2019 interview with CNN, Wintour spoke about new trends. She noted how social media has transformed fashion and given her brand a larger audience. She also stressed the importance of staying true to her values, despite criticism.

By reclaiming the gala’s original mission, Wintour may be sending a message. To the fashion industry, it’s loud and clear; the event is returning to its roots. The 2023 event is a celebration of elegance, glamour, creativity, and true innovation. Fans of Wintour stress that it’s not an issue of snobbery but of having a real understanding of fashion itself.

Honoring Karl Lagerfeld

PARIS, FRANCE – JANUARY 21: (EDITORS NOTE: This image has been retouched) Fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld poses backstage after the Chanel show as part of Paris Fashion Week Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2014 on January 21, 2014 in Paris, France. (Photo by Bertrand Rindoff Petroff/Getty Images)

This year’s Met Gala co-hosts reportedly include Dua Lipa, Penélope Cruz, Roger Federer, and Michaela Coel. Clearly, these are real artists, all of whom are prominent figures in their respective fields. This year’s theme will also honor the late Karl Lagerfeld’s illustrious career and his work with Chanel, Fendi, Chloé, Balmain, and more.

Of course, not everyone is a fan of Anna Wintour. Some critics have openly called her elitist and downright mean. Who can forget former Wintour assistant Lauren Weisberger’s thinly veiled tell-all, The Devil Wears Prada? Still, Vogue sources stress that the guest list is always a source of speculation and has nothing to do with Wintour throwing shade.

Lagerfeld’s Cat, Choupette, Invited To The Event

However, in the latest guest list upset, Karl Lagerfeld’s cat, Choupette, is now officially on the guest list. “She got the invitation,” the My Pet Agency owner said to Page Six. “It’s an event in honor of the legacy of Karl Lagerfeld. Choupette is obviously a central part of the legacy.” Choupette, a blue-cream tortie Birman, is rumored to be one of the late Lagerfeld’s heirs. The designer, who died at 85 in 2019, left an estimated $125 million fortune.

Additionally, Choupette is included in the May 2023 Vogue cover story in honor of the late designer. In a preview of the issue shared with Good Morning America, Naomi Campbell holds the fabulous feline on a Parisian bridge. Campbell is wearing a black Balmain trouser suit, white shirt, and Lagerfeld’s signature black tie. Page Six added, “The cat model looks extra fluffy in the photo as she looks straight at the camera, curling up her feet as she relaxes in the supermodel’s arms.”

With the Met Gala 2023 fast approaching, fashionistas eagerly await the drama, surprises, and style. With Wintour at the helm, this year’s gala will be the event of the year again. Hopefully, the fete will return to its old-school roots—a true reflection of the glamour and elegance that has defined high fashion for decades.

How these recent events play out, one thing is sure: the fashion world is watching closely. As Anna Wintour continues to redefine the Met Gala and, by extension, the industry, heads will roll. And, as the May 1st event approaches, suspense is mounting. All eyes will be on the red carpet to witness the return to true high fashion and, undoubtedly, a lot of extra.

Jordan Peele Movies and TV: Unpacking the Vision

Jordan Peele is a multi-talented actor and director who became a star in both the comedy and horror genres. He is a visionary filmmaker who brings a fresh perspective to whatever he creates. His horror films not only scare audiences, but they also confront issues such as racism and inequality head-on.

Peele is equally talented as an actor, having honed his craft on shows like MADtv and Key & Peele. His unique voice and perspective have earned him numerous awards and nominations. These days, he continues to be a significant driving force in Hollywood.

Peele’s Start in TV

Peele got his start in the entertainment industry as part of the cast of the sketch comedy show MADtv in 2003. The show helped him gain recognition in the entertainment industry as a talented comedian and impressionist. He quickly became known for his spot-on impersonations of celebrities like Barack Obama, Morgan Freeman, and Samuel L. Jackson. His work on the show allowed him to write and produce comedy content, further showcasing his versatility and creativity.

The Success of Key&Peele

Peele joined forces with fellow comedian Keegan-Michael Key to create their own sketch comedy series, Key & Peele, which aired on Comedy Central from 2012 to 2015. The show received immense critical and commercial success through its sharp writing and subversive humor.

The sketches tackled a wide range of social issues, from race and gender to politics and pop culture, often delivering a fresh perspective on topics rarely discussed in mainstream media. The show’s popularity also helped to elevate Peele’s profile in Hollywood and paved the way for his transition into directing.

Creation of MonkeyPaw Productions

Peele’s production company, MonkeyPaw Productions, was founded in 2012 with the goal of creating genre-bending content that challenges traditional Hollywood norms. Peele wanted to provide a platform for underrepresented voices in the entertainment industry and promote diversity both on and off-screen.

One of the inspirations for the company’s name came from the classic horror show The Twilight Zone, which featured an episode titled “The Monkey’s Paw.” Peele’s love of horror and the macabre is evident in many of the projects produced by Monkeypaw, such as the hit horror film Get Out.

Peele’s Directorial Debut

Peele made his movie directorial debut with Get Out in 2017, a critical and commercial success that ushered in a new era of horror movies. The film tackled issues of racism and identity in a unique and unsettling way, and critics praised Peele’s direction for its clever use of horror tropes to explore deeper themes. The success of Get Out cemented Peele’s reputation in the horror genre. In 2018, The film won Peele an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.

The Reboot of The Twilight Zone

Jordan Peele’s reboot of The Twilight Zone was a highly anticipated project that premiered in 2019. Peele’s vision for the show differed from the original, specifically due to the emphasis on social commentary and further exploring contemporary issues. Each episode tackled a different theme or topic, ranging from police brutality to technology addiction. Jordan intended to challenge viewers to think critically about the world around them.

Peele’s involvement in the show went beyond just executive producing. He also served as the show’s host and narrator, providing a chilling introduction to each episode. He even provided the voice for the iconic phrase, “You’re traveling through another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind.

The Success of Us

Peele has continued to produce and direct critically acclaimed films and TV shows, including Us. The 2019 horror film, written and directed by Jordan Peele, stars Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke, and Elisabeth Moss. The movie follows a family confronted by their doppelgängers while on vacation.

Peele’s attention to detail and ability to weave social commentary into his horror films is on full display in Us.  In addition to the gripping plot, strong performances, and thought-provoking themes, Peele’s use of music, particularly the use of the classic hip-hop track “I Got 5 on It,” has been widely praised as an ingenious way to build tension throughout the film.

Peele’s Sci-Fi/Horror Hit, Nope

In July 2022, Peele released his next horror film, Nope. In Nope, horse wrangler/trainer Otis “OJ” Haywood Jr  (Daniel Kaluuya) tries to dodge the deadly attentions of whatever phenomenon is lurking in the sky, terrorizing his California ranch. Even though the Oscars snubbed Nope, its surreal sci-fi /horror extravaganza highlighted Peele’s ability to balance nuanced details.

Coming Soon For Peele

Next up for Peele is a horror thriller from Monkey Paw, which will arrive on Sept. 27, 2024. Additionally, Peele and Universal are releasing an untitled fourth film directed by the Oscar winner arriving on Dec. 25, 2024.

Peele’s Continuous Impact

Jordan Peele continues to be an ambitious and enterprising force in Hollywood through his innovative filmmaking approach and commitment to telling stories that push boundaries. His passion for tackling issues such as race, identity, and social justice guarantees that Jordan Peele will further cement his status as one of the most exciting voices in Hollywood today.

Latto Performs At Coachella, Seemingly Shades Nicki Minaj & Previews New Music

It was a markedly wild weekend at Coachella, from Bad Bunny’s technical difficulties during his headlining set on night one to Frank Ocean’s disappointing return to the stage on Sunday (April 16). Somewhere in between those two milestones, Latto finally graced the Sahara stage with her presence. She obviously pulled out some of her discography’s most popular releases, much to fans’ pleasure. Aside from blessing the crowd with her own talent, the Atlanta-based artist also brought out Saweetie, as well as Tia Corrine to perform “Freaky T.” On top of those two surprises, she also gave Megan Thee Stallion a shoutout during her performance.

While there was certainly lots of evidence of Latto being a self-proclaimed “girl’s girl,” we did also hear her appear to throw shade at another rap diva – Nicki Minaj. The two famously beefed on social media a few weeks back, and while they never officially squashed it, both artists made it sound as though they had moved on from the drama. However, the 24-year-old poked the bear once again at Coachella, seemingly dissing the mother of one in an unreleased track she previewed during yesterday’s set.

Latto Teases New Song at Coachella

“Bitches acting like they running shit, they really ran through / She thought I would kiss her ass, she mustn’t have took her meds,” the “Wheelie” hitmaker chiefly spits in the unnamed track. “Say she got a problem, imaginary smoke / Bitch, you said it’s up, then put on the floor,” the speculative single continues. While she doesn’t definitively name-drop the “Super Bass” artist in the song, it wasn’t hard for fans to piece the puzzle together.

The blonde beauty also appeared to address her situation with Minaj once more before leaving the stage but again, no exact names were used. “Pussy hoe, let a bitch know, we tired of the subtweets this year,” she said while exiting the stage, seemingly in reference to her Twitter beef with the 40-year-old a few months back. Keep scrolling to see more videos from Latto’s fully loaded Coachella set, and check back later for more hip-hop news updates.

Kanye West BBC Documentary Promises “Revelations” About Recent Events

The upcoming BBC documentary on Kanye West, We Need To Talk About Kanye, will reportedly do more than just sum up the artist’s recent controversies and public image. Moreover, the film’s producer Jeremy Lee recently spoke to Variety and detailed what it will consist of. While we already knew it would chronicle Ye’s antisemitic tirades and 2024 presidential election, it will apparently divulge much more information. Of course, it’s likely that it will take more steps to provide the truth rather than add context to fluff up or justify his actions. However, given what little we know of the project so far, anything could happen.

“Underpinned with world-class journalism and unique access to members of Ye’s inner circle, this is a revelation-driven film which sheds new light on recent events,” Lee stated. Also, he confirmed that Kanye West knows of the documentary, but will not be involved in any way. “Ye’s recent behavior has prompted both condemnation and a re-evaluation of his place in popular culture. With recent events as a starting point, the documentary and accompanying eight-part podcast series [The Kanye Story] explore Ye’s two decades in the public eye amid a rumored YE2024 election campaign.” Said election campaign has reportedly ended.

Kanye West BBC Documentary Will Reportedly Reveal A Lot About The Artist

Furthermore, Variety also reported that BBC sold the doc to various countries after ordering it in February. Networks in Finland, Belgium, Australia, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark already secured rights to the project. Moreover, investigative journalist Mobeen Azhar took the helm in the movie, who also explored Britney Spears’ conservatorship in the film The Battle For Britney. In addition, The Kanye Story will further explore Kanye West’s career with help from top music industry executives. As such, this documentary reportedly aims to shed more light and context into what Ye’s recent questionable behavior means for the past, present, and future of his career.

Meanwhile, this film’s focus on Kanye West’s 2024 presidential campaign recently took a turn. “Right now, I am living my life,” he allegedly told a documentary producer he hired, according to a Daily Beast report. “Like I’m concentrating on the school, The Donda Academy, and my new wife, and my kids, and that’s it. I just want to be left alone.” Regardless, We Need To Talk About Kanye shaped up to be a much more informative affair with this Variety report. For the latest news and updates on Kanye West, stick around on HNHH.

Rappers Who Almost Signed to Other Rap Record Labels

While going independent is becoming more and more prevalent, plenty of rappers are still opting to sign rap record deals with major labels. Of course, there’s a noteworthy tradeoff when an artist signs to a rap record label. The artist gains access a widened network of creatives, and no longer has to focus on tasks such as marketing their album or setting up their tour. In addition, the up-front paycheck is always attractive to artists who’ve spent years broke.

These days, we’re familiar with several of our favorites in Hip Hop being affiliated with their collectives. However, according to insiders or the artists, themselves, those deals almost didn’t happen. In fact, many of them almost signed with another label, which could have changed the courses of their careers. Here are a few rappers who were close to moving in a different direction.

Lloyd Banks

During his most recent appearance on the Rap Radar Podcast, Lloyd Banks revealed how close he came to signing with Kanye West‘s G.O.O.D Music record label during the early 2010s. He stated: “So, at one point, it was supposed to be a G-Unit, G.O.O.D Music type of situation. I was on other records, too. They never came out or whatever, the business didn’t get done. But yeah, that was probably like 2010, 2011.” After Ye publicly hailed Banks as a Top 5 rapper in the game at the time, the two got together to create “Start It Up.” Lloyd Banks’ new project, The Course of the Inevitable III, is set to release on April 21st.

Lil Wayne

After releasing The Carter in 2004, Lil Wayne was solidified as one of the hottest names in hip-hop. Jay-Z’s Roc-A-Fella Records emerged as a serious contender for a young 22-year-old Weezy. At the time, Wayne was transparent about his endless love for Jay-Z as a rapper. However, an alleged lowball offer of around $175,000 strayed Weezy from signing with Hov. He would instead re-sign with Cash Money, going on to release the second and third installments of The Carter series.

The potential for Lil Wayne and Jay Z to link up has to be one of the biggest “what if” stories in hip-hop. The two competed against each other for the best rapper alive title throughout the late 2000s. In fact, the two traded subtle shots at each other on various tracks. The supposed beef more-so read as a healthy competition between two of the greats rather than anything personal. They collaborated on “Swagga Like Us” and “Mr. Carter.” However, we likely missed out on plenty of great music between the two when Weezy opted to stay loyal to Cash Money.

Tupac Shakur

When people think of rappers who nearly signed to other record labels, Tupac likely isn’t an MC comes to mind. It’s difficult to think of Tupac without thinking of Suge Knight or the entire Death Row attitude. However, Tupac nearly signed to another famous rap collective, No Limit Records, in the early ’90s. Spearheaded by Master P, the two each lived in the Bay area at the time. In an interview with HipHopDX, P stated that Pac was the “one little piece that I was looking at like, ‘You know what? This could be alright.’” However, it doesn’t appear that a deal between Tupac and Master P was too close to ever being done. While it’s fascinating to imagine where the two creative powerhouses would’ve gone together, it’s hard to visualize Tupac’s career without Death Row.

Lil Uzi Vert

By 2016, Lil Uzi Vert was all over the imprint of hip-hop. His spacey, trap-based beats on Lil Uzi Vert vs. The World and The Perfect LUV Tape took over the scene. As a result, he was one of the most in-demand artists for rap record labels to sign. The Philadelphia-born rapper initially made headlines after he announced he was signing with Wiz Khalifa’s Taylor Gang imprint. With Khalifa confirming the news over Twitter, the setting appeared to be set in stone.

However, DJ Drama and Don Cannon’s Generation Now promptly stepped in amidst the news. After Uzi began talks with the Generation Now label, Khalifa promptly backed out of their once presumptive agreement. Uzi has been vocal about his issues with the records deals he’s signed, once accusing his label of not allowing him to release music. However, Generation Now and Uzi still appear to be working together.

Nas

Believe it or not, Nas’s commercial value as an artist was highly doubted leading up to Illmatic. A young and hungry rapper roaming the streets of New York, Nas struggled to find a record deal in the early ’90s. With Illmatic essentially finished, he was inches away from inking a deal with Def Jam Records. However, Russell Simmons made the executive decision to pass on the MC, believing that Illmatic would flop commercially.

In fact, Simmons wasn’t completely wrong. Illmatic wasn’t exactly leaping up the top charts after its release. In addition, the eclectic and soulful beats of the project didn’t pop out to the casual listener. The subtleties of Illmatic would later solidify it as one of the greatest rap albums of all time, propelling Nas into a storied career that still going strong to this day.

Chance The Rapper

Of the mainstream artists who decided to go fully independent, Chance The Rapper is one of the most notable names on that shortlist. However, there was a point in time where Chance nearly signed to Top Dawg Entertainment. After the nationwide success of Acid Rap, the Carson-bred collective reached out to the Chicago-based MC. Beyond talks with TDE’s president, the deal never came any closer to being signed. However, the potential ramifications of Chance signing with TDE are fascinating to analyze.

Much of Chance the Rapper’s acclaim and notoriety is rooted in the fact that he never signed a deal. From visiting the White House to Grammy Awards, Chance’s success is held up as a battle cry for artists looking to do everything themselves. However, we missed out on collaborations with the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, and the rest of TDE.

Kanye West

Kanye West signing to Roc-A-Fella Records changed the complexion of hip-hop forever. Delivering his soul-infused beats to the forefront of music, Ye and Jay-Z would eventually form a menacing duo. The two lived at the top for over a decade, releasing multiple collaborations throughout that period.

However, Ye nearly signed with Cash Money before ultimately going with Roc-A-Fella. While Roc-A-Fella was always his end-goal, the prospect of working with the likes of Lil Wayne nearly strayed him from his eventual path. Ye didn’t want to sign with Cash Money because he reportedly felt they were a little “too street” compared to the high-rising Roc-A-Fella. It’s interesting to visualize a world where Kanye West was collaborating with Wayne rather than Jay-Z.

Drake

Still making a name for himself in the late 00s, Trey Songz nearly convinced Drake to sign to his Songbook label imprint under Atlantic Records. At the time, the two had just collaborated on “Successful.” Considering the direction that Songz’s career would eventually go, it’s entirely possible that Drake wouldn’t be the worldwide sensation he is today if he had stuck with the R&B singer. Songz admitted this in an interview with The Breakfast Club, stating, “Drake wouldn’t be Drake if we had made that decision. Drake wanted to sign to me at the time when I wasn’t even Trey Songz yet.”

Would Drake have succeeded anyways? Absolutely, but maybe not to this extent. There’s doubt that years of working with Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj at Cash Money played an essential role in his rise to universal stardom. In fact, the trio are still collaborating, releasing “Seeing Green” back in 2021. Drake was a saving grace for Cash Money, quickly becoming their main act.

Reggie Miller’s Bold Claim On Miami Heat Star

Reggie Miller knows how important a scorer is to a team. On Sunday, the Miami Heat saw Tyler Herro go down with a broken hand. An injury that will sideline the Miami star for the next month and a half. Herro’s absence will be a huge loss to the team. However, Miller tends to believe that his injury is the most vital injury of the series. Miller even believes that Herro’s absence is bigger than Giannis’ potential missing time for the Bucks. Yes, those words were actually said.

Toward the end of the Heat and Bucks game one, Miller discussed the injuries that happened during the game. Miller stated the loss of Herro will be more prominent for the Heat than if Giannis misses time for Milwaukee. Make no mistake, Herro is a great player for Miami. However, it feels if the Bucks are without Giannis, they are a completely different team. The Bucks are the overall one-seed in the Eastern Conference. But without Giannis, they couldn’t beat the eight-seed Heat. Check out the video of Miller discussing the injuries below.

Reggie Miller’s Hot Take On Tyler Herro: Video

Whatever the case may be, both teams are losing significant assets. However, losing a two-time MVP seems like a much more significant loss. Giannis was injured after a hard fall that saw him wincing in pain afterward. The former MVP tried to give it a go on a few different occasions. But in the end, was pulled from the rest of the game. Before Herro’s injury, the former Kentucky Wildcat put in 12 points on nearly 20 minutes of action.

The Heat rolled the Bucks 130-117 in game one. A very surprising result for the clubs. However, Giannis’ absence seemed to have a massive effect on what the Bucks were trying to accomplish. The two teams will not be in action again until Wednesday. With the rest, the Bucks are hopeful that Giannis can give it a go. In the meantime, what is your opinion on Reggie Miller’s take? Is he far off, or does he have a point? Let us know where you stand in the comment section. For the latest NBA news, keep it right here with HNHH.

Greatest Adidas Sneaker Collaborations

Communities around the world have worn Adidas collaborations for decades. Getting its start in Germany, what was once solely a sportswear company has exploded into a defining headliner in the fashion industry. Curating designs for every season, their sneaker portfolio has been a cultural force as far back as the 1950s. Blending nostalgia with modern-day trends, Adidas has pioneered the comeback of many vintage trends over the past decade.

Adidas first got its start in the sporting goods industry. With the three stripes being born in 1949, the West German players dubbed their football shoe “The Samba” after a match in 1950. The name stuck, acting as the launching pad for a company that would eventually branch out from the sport’s trademark. To this day, The Samba remains one of Adidas’ best-selling sneakers. By the 1970s, people were repping their clothing for the purpose of fashion just as much as for athletic performance. This dual influence quickly propelled Adidas into one of the household names in the clothing industry. Today, we’re looking at some of the greatest sneaker collaborations from Adidas over its 73-year history.

British fashion designer Grace Wales Bonner infused European heritage with an Afro-Atlantic spirit when she curated the Wales Bonner-Adidas collection. Adidas Originals by Wales Bonner offers vibrant colorways which mirror 70s-80s African vintage culture. Most recently, the two came together for a Spring/Summer drop in 2022.

Speaking on the collaboration in an interview with CNN, she stated, “Things need to stand out for something very strongly, both culturally and visually. This is bringing out the best in designers, and the audience is responsive – they’re valuing expression and beauty. I think that’s what people will continue to celebrate.” The Wales Bonner collaboration has certainly been celebrated, with it being one of the most in-demand Adidas sneakers during the summer season.

Gucci

While Adidas was rooted as an affordable company for the average working-class person, many of their recent collaborations have dived into the world of luxury. Their Gucci collaboration saw Adidas get out of their comfort zone with the Adidas Gazelle sneaker, a collection that retails at $850 USD. The final product took inspiration from the 1979 version of the shoe. First teased on the Italian house’s Milan runway in February, their Winter/Fall collection sold out rapidly in 2022. The drop was re-issued at the beginning of April 2023. The classic Adidas Gazelle sneaker blends formalness with a down-to-earth touch, making its look applicable to the monotony of daily life or high-end occasions.

Prada

Prada is one of the most iconic brands in the fashion industry. The collaboration between Prada and Adidas was one that pays homage to their extensive heritages. Adidas x Prada Luna Rossa sneakers sported a sleek and simplistic design that tributes to their respective backgrounds. The two colorways were either all-white or all-black. The shoe is currently listed in the range of $650-$700 USD. In retrospect, we’re still in the early days of the two brands collaborating. As they continue to trade creative ideas, this partnership should be one of the most profitable in the fashion industry over the coming decade.

Pharrell Williams

Adidas has a unique ability to release sneakers that fit into any and all scenarios of daily life. Whether you’re skating around town or heading out to an expensive restaurant, many of their collaborations find a way to create a single sneaker that camouflages into each of these worlds. Adidas’s collaborations with Pharrell Williams haven’t been any different. Since 2014, Pharrell and Adidas have undertaken a variety of different launches. The first Pharrell collaboration saw the Superstar sneaker released in an unprecedented 50 different colorways. Adidas stated, “The sneakers were curated with everyday use in mind, making sure they can handle anything life throws at you. But every day does not mean plain.” The two also came together for the Adidas Originals x Pharrell Williams collaboration.

Raf Simons

Adidas first collaborated with Raf Simons in 2013 on the original Ozweego Runner. The partnership has lasted a decade, ranging from the Stan Smith to the New Runner. The Ozweego III is one of the most desirable sneakers in fashion, introducing droves of creative colorways and slight variations of the original release. The shoe is best known for its comfortability, often being seen as a cheaper alternative to the Yeezy. The Belgian Designer and Adidas have gone on to curate some of the most profitable partnerships in fashion to date. In addition, Simons has worked as the Creative Director for brands such as Calvin Klein and Christian Dior.

Kanye West

Kanye West is larger than life, which has proved both a blessing and a curse for the Adidas Brand. Certainly not one to mince his words, Adidas cut ties with Ye amidst a slew of controversial statements made by the Donda artist. However, the Yeezy collaboration proved to be one of their most profitable and ambitious to date. Take the Yeezy Boost 700, which showcases a refreshing and experimental aesthetic. The Yeezy sneakers consistently challenged the status quo, resulting in $1 billion to $2 billion of Adidas’s overall net worth.

It remains to be seen how the dust will settle between Ye and Adidas. While Adidas cut ties with him, there’s still a massive inventory of Yeezy products. Some reports hinted that Adidas would essentially dump the shoes, while others have suggested that the two sides reached a settlement agreement in order to sell the remaining products earlier this year. Either way, the ending of their partnership closes one of the most iconic partnerships in the fashion industry to date.

Stella McCartney

One of the largest collabs in sneaker history, McCartney (daughter of The Beatles’ Paul McCartney) is best known for adding a subtly unique spin to classic Adidas shoes. The Adidas Stan Smith, for example, changes the sidewall dot stripes for star stripes and the standard white laces for a rainbow pair. While some criticize the shoe for sacrificing comfort for a retro look and feel, there’s a reason why the pair have continued to collaborate for over a decade.

The Stella McCartney collaboration has played a key role in Adidas being role to expand their target market beyond the 15–30-year-old demographic. With 00s teens growing up with the shoe, they’ve continued to sport the shoe as they’ve entered the latter stages of adulthood. With a penchant for sharp and tailored femineity, the McCartney-Adidas collaboration isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
