Bow Wow Accused Of Stealing Jermaine Dupri’s Dads’ “Scream Tour” Name

Bow Wow is being accused of doing bad business. In a legal dispute that has recently emerged, Michael Mauldin, the father of Jermaine Dupri, has taken legal action against Bow Wow and the Black Promoters Collective. According to court documents acquired by AllHiphop, in his lawsuit, Mauldin cited trademark infringement and various other grievances. The core of the lawsuit asserts that Bow Wow and the group of promoters engaged in the unauthorized use of Mauldin’s trademarked name, Scream Tour, for a tour launched in 2023.

However, Mauldin initiated the use of the Scream Tour name for live events back in 2001, and he enlisted Bow Wow’s participation for the very first Scream Tour and subsequent tours. Additionally, the lawsuit argued that Bow Wow’s intimate professional relationship with Mr. Mauldin made him undoubtedly aware of the Scream Tour trademark. The lawsuit underscores a fundamental issue related to intellectual property rights and the alleged misuse of Mauldin’s registered trademark.

Mauldin Claims Bow Wow Was Aware Of The Trademark

Moreover, Mauldin, as the legal owner of the Scream Tour trademark, contends that Bow Wow and the Black Promoters Collective proceeded with their tour without obtaining the necessary permissions or licenses to utilize his trademarked name. This unauthorized use not only potentially infringes on Mauldin’s rights but also raises questions about the legitimacy and branding of the new tour. Also, the lawsuit noted that, “Upon Mauldin Brand’s discovery of Defendants’ use of the Infringing Marks, Mauldin Brand sent some or all of the Defendants a cease and desist letter regarding their use of the Infringing Marks.”

“Despite receiving notice and having prior notice, Defendants chose to continue using the Infringing Marks and pursuing the U.S. trademark applications for the Infringing Marks,” the paperwork continued. In this instance, Michael Mauldin’s legal action signifies his intent to protect his trademarked property and seek redress for any harm or confusion caused by the unauthorized use of the Scream Tour name. In addition, Mauldin is pursuing both monetary compensation and a legal order (injunction) against the defendants. Additionally, he petitioned for a jury trial to resolve the issue. Stay tuned to HNHH to see how the legal matter will unfold and what resolution, if any, will be reached between the involved parties.

Sukihana Defends Brittany Renner’s Body Count: “She’s Living In Her Truth”

During her recent appearance on the Club Shay Shay podcast, Brittany Renner left Shannon Sharpe in awe after revealing that she’s slept with 35 men. The revelation got a great deal of attention on social media, with countless users chiming in. While Renner called her sexual history “impressive,” some thought that the number was shockingly low. Others thought it was high, and have since taken to the internet to shame her. Obviously, it’s nobody besides Renner’s business who she gets intimate with. Regardless, people will have their opinions.

Amid the controversy, Sukihana took to social media to weigh in. Suki’s no stranger to embracing her sexuality, and she seems glad that Renner did, too. She called out those going after Renner for her admission, letting them know that they need to check themselves. “I have a message for the people that are judging Brittany Renner for saying that she slept with 35 mans,” the hitmaker began. “Um, she’s living in her truth.”

Sukihana Says Renner’s Haters “Do Worse Behind Closed Doors”

Suki continued, explaining how instead of worrying about what Renner’s doing, haters should worry about themselves. “While you’re judging, you’re pointing one finger… it’s three pointing back at you.” She went on to claim that there are a lot of people doing far more scandalous things than Renner does, so there’s no room for them to judge. “Y’all really do worse behind closed doors,” she captioned the clip. “All y’all do is sit in them comments and complain about others.”

Though Suki certainly managed to get her message across, she did accidentally tag the wrong person in her post. Instead of Brittany Renner, the “Grinch” performer tagged Britney Spears. Many found the mistake to be pretty funny, and some even think the same sentiment could be applied to Spears, who’s been subject to her own fair share of shaming throughout her career. What do you think of Sukihana coming to Brittany Renner’s defense amid the controversy? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on Sukihana and Brittany Renner.

Cardi B Speaks On Recording The Clean Version Of “Bongos”: “I Was So Over It!”

Cardi B recently appeared in an episode of Hot Ones where she answered questions while eating chicken wings. During the episode, which dropped today (Sept. 28), Cardi B dove into many aspects of her career, including her private life, the making of “Bongos,” and more. Cardi B’s latest hit song “Bongos,” joined forces with Megan Thee Stallion and is a certified banger. At one point during the interview, Cardi spoke on how she had to create a clean version for the explicit track.

She expressed how annoyed she was at the process of creating a clean version of her latest single, “Bongos,” for radio play, highlighting the challenges of adapting explicit lyrics for a broader audience. The Bronx-born superstar candidly discussed the somewhat “annoying” experience further. “It’s annoying! So annoying!” she started. “Like how upset… because I just did it like practically two weeks ago. And I was so over it! Because you know my new song, I be like, ‘N***a eat this a** like a plum.’ So you know, I’m doing the clean version and I’m like alright, ‘Baby eat it up like a plum!’”

Cardi B Speaks More On “Bongos”

She went on to describe some of the challenges she faced in crafting a radio-friendly alternative. “And [the label is like], ‘No, you still can’t play that for pop radio.’ And I’m like, ‘Baby eat these peaches and plums.’ And I was so over it! [I was] like, ‘I cannot say that. That’s sounds so corny!’ That sounded like a Kidz Bop, whatever my son [listens to]. But I have no choice so, ‘Baby eat these peaches and plums!’”

Cardi B’s frustration underscores the complex and often humorous process artists go through when navigating the transition from explicit to clean versions of their songs for mainstream radio. Despite the challenges, she remains committed to adapting her music for broader audiences while staying true to her unique style. Her explicit vs. clean lyrics creates an amusing juxtaposition between her original lyrics and the creatively sanitized alternatives. This glimpse into the behind-the-scenes work of artists like Cardi B sheds light on the effort required to strike a balance between artistic expression and broader accessibility in the music industry. Ice Cube Claps Back At Twitter User Over Crack Epidemic Claim

Ice Cube is no stranger to generating controversy from some of his political takes. Back in July, he drew a lot of controversy from fans and rappers online for appearing on an episode of conservative pundit Tucker Carlson’s Twitter show. During the interview, the pair dug into Cube’s anti-vaccine sentiments. He told a story about how he had turned down a major payday from a film that would have required him to be vaccinated while on set. More recently, he’s been vocal about Elon Musk and how the tech billionaire has largely failed to improve Twitter since purchasing it. He posted a meme intended to troll Musk earlier this month.

Despite his issues with the platform, Ice Cube recently gave his Twitter fans the chance to ask him anything they wanted to. One fan asked an evocatively phrased question about NWA’s role in the diminishing of conscious rap. “Was NWA part of the agenda to destroy conscious rap which was growing in popularity at the time, and promote sex violence and gangster behaviour amongst the youth?” their questions read. As you’d expect fans in the comments have mixed reactions to the question but some agree. “Unfortunately music did play a part with the crack being pumped into our black and latino neighborhoods,” his response read.

Ice Cube Refutes Claims Of NWA’s Impact On Crack Epidemic

Ice Cube responded to both fans, clapping back at their assertions. “Bullsh*t. Crack was in the neighborhoods a decade before gangsta rap. In the 70s they called it freebase. So was heroine, weed, Mollys, gangbanging, drive bys, pimping and hoing, dropping out of school, young girls getting pregnant, cussing and the using the word N*gga. It was all here before NWA,” his detailed response reads.

Ice Cube was letting fans ask him questions to celebrate the announcement of his new album. The project is called Man Down and he will reportedly be putting the finishing touches on it in a few weeks. What do you think of Ice Cube’s response to questions about NWA and the crack epidemic? Let us know in the comment section below.

Real Boston Richey Responds To Rowdy Rebel Saying Future Cut Him Off

Real Boston Richey is taking matters into his own hands and shutting down any rumors. On Wednesday, Sept. 27, the Miami rapper appeared on From The Block, a platform known for its freestyle sessions, for a freestyle and attempted to set the record straight. The Miami-based rapper took the opportunity to address the allegations head-on via freestyle. “N***as can’t turn off Boston Richey,” he started. “Imma say that sh** again, n***as ain’t cut off Boston Richey. Whatever n**ga swing through this b**ch fast, they gon’ get it.” Boston Richey appearing on the platform is his way of taking control of the narrative and putting an end to the swirling rumors surrounding him.

Richey’s words came in response to Rowdy Rebel who had previously tried to diss him. Rebel was on the same platform just a couple weeks ago saying that Future cut off the young rapper. “N***as moving like they tellin,’ they movin’ iffy, I cut ’em off like Future did to Boston Richey.” The controversy surrounding Boston Richey stems from a viral incident that occurred in January. A vlogger named 1090 Jake had uploaded documents indicating that Richey had cooperated with law enforcement (or snitched) in two separate cases. One involving a murder case when Richey was just 19 years old and the other being a Grand Theft Auto incident in 2013.

While Richey’s co-defendant in the Grand Theft Auto case denied that he was a snitch in an interview with Say Cheese!, the situation took a more damaging turn for Richey when 1090 Jake shared a video online. The video allegedly showed Richey providing information to the police. In the video, Richey is seen identifying various individuals connected to the case and mentioning an “alleged shooter” while also naming gang members.

With the ongoing controversy and conflicting narratives, Boston Richey is determined to set the record straight and assert his position. His recent freestyle serves as a testament to his commitment to maintaining his place in the rap world. And dispelling any doubts or speculations about his authenticity. In other news, Boston Richey is coming off a recent release for his latest sophomore effort Welcome To Bubba Land. Unlike his debut project, Public Housing, which saw features from Future, Moneybagg Yo, Kodak Black, and Lil Durk, his second release was a solo effort and notably had no features.
