Marvin Gaye III Faces Assault Accusations After Alleged Domestic Incident

The oldest son of one of soul music’s biggest legends, Marvin Gaye III, faces accusations of physical assault in a new anonymous lawsuit. Per legal documents reportedly obtained by AllHipHop, the suit alleges a January 2023 incident at his Los Angeles home in which the plaintiff attempted to solve an altercation between Gaye and his wife Wendy, whose relationship apparently broke down afterwards. Specifically, the suit claims that Gaye attacked the Jane Doe, threatened her with more violence, and brandished a gun in her and Wendy’s direction. In addition, the anonymous accuser also alleged that he tried to intimidate her after this incident by cutting off her vehicle’s brake lines and telling affiliates to stalk her home.

According to these reported court documents, Marvin Gaye’s son’s accuser pointed to the emotional trauma she allegedly suffered as a result of this supposed incident in the form of anxiety, weight loss, depression, panic attacks, and having a hard time sleeping. As for what she wants out of the suit, that would be in the form of financial compensation at the court’s discretion. “No way did that happen. It’s all bulls**t. I wouldn’t do that. These are false claims,” he stated to Us Weekly concerning the plaintiff’s allegations.

Other Marvin Gaye news in the headlines recently is a less serious but nonetheless divisive warping of his legacy, such as Tyrese’s national anthem performance last year that was inspired by him. “Few bad notes? Mheeeee that’s an open mic for you…..” he responded to criticism of his rendition. “God is the greatest we live in the best county in the world and I really really tried.”

Meanwhile, we don’t know if the Marvin Gaye family already spoke out concerning these accusations, as they usually chime in when it comes to situations even tangentially related to the legendary musician. We’ll see how much farther this lawsuit goes along and whether or not the parties involved will seek full justice or reach an agreement. It’s still a pretty unclear and contentious situation in the grand scheme of things, so as always, take things with a grain of salt.

He hasn’t provided any further context regarding the incident.

When DJ Akademiks shared the post on Instagram, fans hopped in the comments section with supportive messages. “I’m just glad they only lumped you up, and only came with bumps and bruises, it’s a blessing that it wasn’t no weapon involved. On X (formerly Twitter), he wrote: “It’s time for another Ye album… I wouldn’t be surprised if my Gemini brother drop before the yr end.” While Waka appears to have missed the mark with his December prediction, West is working on a new album titled, Bully. He announced the solo effort during a performance in Haikou, China back in September. During that concert, he debuted a song titled, “Beauty and the Beast.” Last week, a video of him working in front of a piano in the studio surfaced online.

Somebody tried calling Tyler out for putting himself on his list, but Tyler confidently responded, “yeah i like the music i make im confused on the question.”

Meanwhile, in a tweet from a few days before, he marked the anniversary of his debut album, Bastard, by writing, “BASTARD released 15 years ago. thank you to everyone who listened to anything over the years. was in such a different zone musically and as a person, but was determined to be who i am today. full of gratitude cause it all came true. earl and i got to do ASSMILK; i did ODD TODDLERS at coachella main stage how wild?!? this album was made at ages 16-18. what a time. thank you!”

Kanye West Goes Ballistic When Told He Can’t Ask His Lawyer A Question During Deposition

Kanye West is the latest famous face to appear in the A&E show Interrogation Raw: Celebrity Under Oath, which shows off court footage of various high-profile legal matters. Moreover, this instance concerns a 2020 lawsuit from a tech firm that claims he did not fulfill an agreement for them to make his digital purchase platforms for Yeezy and Sunday Service. The footage from this deposition already went viral online, as the show previewed some fiery moments and combative incidents. Now, we have some more footage to go over, and this one sees Ye attempt to ask his lawyer about the nature of the lawsuit and whether or not he can go to jail.

“What’s going to happen to me, I’m going to go to jail?” Kanye West asked in the clip below, which led one of the lawyers to explain that Ye “wasn’t there to ask questions” and to try to redirect him to answering the attorney’s line of inquiry. “No, I’m asking. Ekwan, can I go to jail off of anything related to this lawsuit? What you mean, I can’t ask my lawyer a question? You crazy? You don’t know who you’re talking to. I’m not some slave of yours, boy. What you mean, I can’t ask my lawyer a question? That’s the dumbest s**t. Are you crazy? You just told me I can’t ask my lawyer a question.”

Kanye West Pops Off During Deposition

But it’s not just old footage that has fans talking about Kanye West these days. Fans spotted him singing along to his hit “Flashing Lights” the other day, and fans were very curious to find that he did not change one of his most iconic lines off of it that carries a very different context today: “I hate these n***as more than the Nazis.”

Of course, this is all because of Kanye West’s controversial and incendiary antisemitism over the past few years, a situation that sadly saw little improvement since. Hopefully he can focus back up on his own work and struggles rather than those of others, but until then, we’re sure that 2025 might hold more antics like this deposition.

Shannon Sharpe Roasts Kai Cenat After His Yeezy Red October’s Fall Apart In The Middle Of Their Interview

Kai Cenat’s Red October’s became the unexpected star of his recent appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast. During the interview, Cenat’s exclusive Yeezys began to crumble before their very eyes. At first, Sharpe was ready to let the moment slide, but once Kai brought it up, Sharpe couldn’t resist roasting him. The Hall of Famer hilariously joked that Cenat’s kicks weren’t real Yeezys, dubbing them “Peezy’s.” Cenat immediately refuted the claim, playfully defending his sneakers as authentic, turning the situation into a laugh-out-loud moment.

The Yeezy Red Octobers, released in 2014, is legendary among sneakerheads, but time hasn’t been kind to many pairs. Cenat wasn’t about to let Sharpe’s “Peezy’s” comment slide, firing back with his own quips in a way only Kai could. The banter was pure comedy gold, and fans couldn’t get enough of their playful chemistry.
