SEE IT: Trump Motions To Shake VP Harris Hand At 9/11 Memorial Day After Debate

Well, well, well, looks like former President Trump is either playing chess or showing a rare glimpse of humility. Our money is on chess or knowing him, checkers. 

Let’s get into it … So yesterday was the 23rd anniversary of the September 11 attacks. Per usual, political figures, including President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, former President Donald Trump, Senator JD Vance, and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg all gathered at Ground Zero in New York to honor the victims. 

Listen, we know some of those folks don’t like each other but like previous years, they put aside their political differences, briefly for the sake of solemn commemoration.

Check this out, a viral moment occurred when Vice President Harris and Donald Trump, fresh from their first in-person interaction at a presidential debate the night before, shared a handshake ahead of the ceremony. 

Yup, that happened. Trump initiated it after Mike Bloomberg appeared to get VP Harris’ attention on behalf of Trump. We’re speculating but that’s what the tale of the tape appear to show us.

As you would think, this simple gesture stood out, given the high tensions of current political campaigning. 

Following the solemn ceremony in New York, Biden and Harris traveled to Shanksville, Pennsylvania, to lay a wreath at the Flight 93 memorial.

At the site, Biden placed his hand on the wreath and made the sign of the cross as he observed a cross constructed from the plane’s wreckage. Biden also met with families affected by the tragedy at a local volunteer fire station, which had served as a critical gathering point in 2001.

What’s more, Biden and Harris participated in another wreath-laying ceremony at the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia. Trump was also expected to visit Shanksville later in the day, according to sources.

To highlight what we all know but the commemorations highlighted the lasting impact of the 9/11 attacks, which claimed nearly 3,000 lives when terrorists hijacked four planes, crashing two into the World Trade Center, one into the Pentagon, and a fourth into a Pennsylvania field after passengers fought back against the hijackers.

RIP to all who perished on 9/11 and much respect to their families, friends and the world affected.

Lil Scrappy Flirts With Summer Walker Amid Momma Dee & Erica Dixon Drama

Lil Scrappy is often dealing with some relationship drama with his exes and his mother, but that doesn’t define everything in his romantic pursuits. He can be quite forward, too, as he recently proved during an Instagram Live session in which he shot his shot with Summer Walker. Of course, Scrappy wasn’t direct enough to have any specific message for her in the clip, but he did ask his fans and viewers to relay the message for him. As you can imagine, a lot of fans reacted to this incredulously, leaving plenty of mean comments, funny jokes, wild theories, and bold predictions in the comments section of the post below.

Furthermore, this comes amid an interesting time for him in the headlines, as he faced rumors of getting back together with Erica Dixon and having another baby. Momma Dee herself came through on Instagram Live to clarify that Dixon was just joking with her and that she’s not actually pregnant with Lil Scrappy’s child, or pregnant at all. As for the topic of whether or not the two have romantically reconciled, she didn’t say too much explicitly about it. But all signs from Dee’s love session point to a “No” on that front.

Lil Scrappy Shoots His Shot With Summer Walker

This is all relatively ironic because Lil Scrappy also had fans thinking that he and Bambi got back together, or at least made amends. “In my life that I’ve lived sacrificing for my family and my kids you never really hear or get gifts for being a good person, husband or father,” he shared of the literal and figurative flowers that she recently gave him. “But yesterday I received these flowers on my front porch out of nowhere, and I seen a familiar name on it. I asked the person what was going on, and they said, ‘I appreciate you for being a present parent in your kid’s life and thank you for always being there while they have to work or do anything.’”

Meanwhile, we don’t know how Summer Walker will respond to Lil Scrappy’s advances, if at all. She’s currently dealing with some ex drama of her own thanks to some shade from London On Da Track. He’s clapping back against absent father accusations, which Scrappy also unfortunately has experience with. We’ll see what else develops – and potentially crosses over – in these two worlds.

Young Thug’s Lawyer Brian Steel Sees Himself As A Civil Rights Leader

Young Thug is currently on trial as part of the YSL RICO case, and in the eyes of many, this trial has been a complete and utter farce. Overall, the reasoning behind this is because little progress has been made. Moreover, the actions of those on the witness stand have been combative to say the least. With all of the delays and antics in court, there is a belief that the trial could go until 2027. If that is truly the case, then one could make the argument that Thugger is not being given his right to a fair and speedy trial.

That said, the trial has been continuing in court this week. With Lil Woody off of the stand, the trial has not been getting nearly as much attention. However, that is not to say that there haven’t been storylines to emerge. Case in point, there was a moment in court yesterday where someone noted there were no civil rights leaders in court. However, Thug’s lawyer Brian Steel took exception to this. As you can see below, he had the judge correct the record and let people know how he sees himself.

Brian Steel Is Working Hard For Young Thug

If you remember, Brian Steel was willing to go to prison for Young Thug just a couple of months ago. He was even arrested in court, and it had everyone singing his praises online. As for the Civil Rights leader comments, it remains to be seen if fans will be rocking with that. Regardless, there is no doubt that Young Thug has a lawyer who cares deeply about his freedom. That kind of representation is priceless.

GloRilla Plays Off Nearly NSFW Wardrobe Malfunction During VMAs Performance

GloRilla was one of plenty of stars who hit the MTV Video Music Awards stage on Wednesday (September 11), and did so explosively. Moreover, she performed her two big 2024 hits, those being “Yeah Glo!” and “TGIF.” It was overall a pretty satisfying and fun performance, but the swift wardrobe change in between songs was sadly imperfect. A couple of minutes into the “TGIF” rendition, the “Mama” femcee’s bra strap seemed to come apart, and she had to hold onto it with one hand while rapping into the mic in the order so that she wouldn’t expose herself. That wasn’t part of the rehearsals…

Still, GloRilla kept her composure and performed throughout the song without missing a beat. The only thing that made an issue noticeable was the visual aspect of seeing her hold onto herself. Eventually, once the Memphis native was back and standing on the main stage, a backup dancer noticed the issue and fixed the issue so that she could perform normally to close the medley out. It was a pretty smooth and easily manageable malfunction, so props to her and her team for being so graceful with it. Her frequent collaborator Megan Thee Stallion also had some killer performances as well as a hosting gig, and it seems like we might get a full joint album from them in the near future.

GloRilla’s VMAs Performance

The malfunction occurs at around the 2:30-minute mark.

Elsewhere, though, GloRilla recently reflected on how social media meanies can motivate you as much as they can irritate you. It just depends on which side of yourself you let win. “I remember bookmarking dis & telling myself ‘Dey gotchu f***ed up so bad,’” she quote-tweeted a post that read “Glorilla fell off so fast and bad” along with crying emojis. “Dis post ain’t do s**t but put a battery in my back i needed data don’t let dese people write yo story for you , Keep going !!!”

Meanwhile, we might see another side to GloRilla’s artistry develop further these days. She recently showed off her singing skills on a new Muni Long collab, which many fans weren’t expecting. It’s not perfect (just like anything else), but it could definitely lead to more dynamic performances in the future. Let’s hope that these don’t run into the same wardrobe malfunctions, although it’s good to know that these are no problem at all for Big Glo to handle.

On this date in 1989, Brooklyn rapper Lana Moorer aka MC Lyte dropped her second full-length studio LP Eyes On This.

Released on her family’s First Priority imprint through the parent company Atlantic and produced by her brothers Audio Two, King of Chill, and Nat Robinson, Eyes On This was Lyte’s introduction into stardom, with the NYC skyline(including WTC) and two ’89 Porsche Carreras on the album’s cover as proof.

Some of the album’s standout tracks include “Cappucino,” “Cha Cha Cha,” and “Shut The Eff Up(Hoe)!,” which was the second installment in her battle with female rap phenom Antoinette.

The 13 track album made it to #86 on the Billboard 200 and is still recognized as a classic by real Hip Hop aficionados around the globe. Salute to Lyte, Milk, Giz, and the King of Chill for giving the people this dope album!

Flavor Flav Gives Olympian Jordan Chiles a Bronze Medal: “I got you something that they can’t take away from you.”

Flavor Flav is building his own renaissance moments these days. The Public Enemy icon was in full hype-man mode at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, where he co-presented the night’s first award, Best Collaboration, alongside Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles. 

That in itself feels like something Snoop would do but Flav has been seizing these moments on the big stage, quite literally.

Before Chiles could announce the winner, Flav had a special surprise for her.

ICYMI, Chiles had won a bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, but due to what was described as “judicial nonsense,” she was forced to return her medal. Flav acknowledged this injustice in his own unique style. 

“I just want to turn this into a little Olympic moment for a second, if y’all don’t mind,” he said. “Jordan, I know they tried to take your medal away from you, but you know what? I got you something that they can’t take away from you.”

Get this, Flav presented Chiles with a personalized, bedazzled clock—an iconic symbol of his—and added, “And guess what else, too? I got your prize money too. I got that for you.” With this, Flavor Flav playfully hinted at his new role as a benefactor for women’s sports.

What’s more, following his viral moment with Chiles, Flav shared the spotlight with another star: Taylor Swift. Sheesh, no big deal … 

Swift, along with Post Malone, won Best Collaboration for their “Fortnight” video. In her acceptance speech, Swift took a moment to reflect on the significance of the day, saying:

“I wanted to say, waking up this morning in New York on September 11, I’ve been thinking about what happened 23 years ago. Everyone who lost a loved one, everyone that we lost, and that’s the most important thing about today — and everything that happens tonight falls behind that.”

Michael B. Jordan Directing, Producing And Starring in Remake Of ‘Thomas Crown Affair’

Hollywood star Michael B. Jordan is set to both direct and star in the upcoming remake of The Thomas Crown Affair for Amazon MGM Studios. This is a big deal and another notch on the belt for Jordan as a director.

In addition to leading the project, Jordan will produce the film alongside Elizabeth Raposo through his production company, Outlier Society.

Get this, although Jordan has been linked to a Thomas Crown Affair remake for several years (with the most recent significant update surfacing in 2021), this marks the first confirmation that he will also be directing the film.

Okay if you’re not up on your movie history, the story has seen two major cinematic versions: the 1999 film starring Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo, and the original 1968 version featuring Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway. The plot follows a wealthy man who pulls off an elaborate heist, only to face a clever and seductive investigator determined to bring him down. In the 1968 version, McQueen played a charismatic bank executive who engaged in a mental and emotional duel with Dunaway’s insurance investigator. The 1999 adaptation saw Brosnan as a “rich and successful playboy” who steals art for fun, with Russo taking on the role of the detective tasked with investigating his illicit activities.

What’s more is specifics of the new remake remain under wraps. Deadline reports that the script—initially penned by Wes Tooke and Justin Britt-Gibson, later revised by Drew Pearce—is based on the 1968 film.

Even still, Jordan is staying busy with multiple projects. According to Deadline, he has wrapped up production on a secretive vampire movie with Ryan Coogler. Additionally, he will star in I Am Legend 2 under the direction of Steven Caple Jr., and serve as an executive producer for The Greatest, a biographical series about Muhammad Ali.

Shannon Sharpe has admitted that it was indeed him engaging in sex on Instagram Live. Taking to the Night Cap show he hosts with Chad Ochocino, Sharpe stated he was “embarrassed” and “disappointed” in the moment.

There wasn’t sex to be seen in the video, just moments of moaning and commands from the Hall of Famer and ESPN personality.

“Someone that is extremely, extremely private and to have one of your most intimate details — the audio — heard for the entire world to hear, I’m embarrassed for a number of reasons,” Sharpe said. “There are a lot of people that count on Shannon to be professional at all times and I always try to be professional at all times, even when I’m behind closed doors. … I’m very disappointed in myself, not for the act.”

Shannon Sharpe became the main character on social media Wednesday thanks to a truly embarrassing mishap on Instagram Live. Overall, the former Denver Broncos wide receiver went live while having sex. Although he was not shown on camera, he could be heard. The woman he was with was making numerous sounds, and it became obvious to everyone tuning in what was happening. Ultimately, it was embarrassing and at first, Sharpe claimed he was hacked.

During last night’s episode of Nightcap with Chad Ochocinco, Sharpe revealed that he was not hacked. Instead, it was an honest mistake that has left him embarrassed and mortified. In the end, however, it isn’t all that serious. No one is upset at Shannon, except perhaps the executives over at First Take. Meanwhile, Sharpe is now receiving offers from Adult Film Sites. For instance, according to TMZ, The Porn Dude wants to give Shannon $100K to make a movie on their website.
