A Megan Thee Stallion And RM Song Has Been Confirmed As The Rapper’s Previously Teased BTS Collaboration

Megan Thee Stallion isn’t done collecting international collaborations. The “Down Stairs DJ” rapper might’ve hard launched her latest boo, but on August 30, she bread crumbed her next BTS collaboration.

Today (September 1), Megan Thee Stallion finally revealed the details surrounding the upcoming track. Over on X (formerly Twitter), Megan announced that her forthcoming song with BTS is actually a single with member RM.

“NEVA PLAY WITH RM OUT FRIDAY HOTTIES X ARMY 🔥💸 #MEGJOON,” she wrote.

She then went on to promise big things regarding “Neva Play.”

“PS. This is one of my favorite RM verses I’ve heard, she wrote. “I’ve never heard him rap in this style before 😎.”

Although BTS (and by association its members) are known for producing K-pop bangers, this won’t mark the first time they’ve dappled into rap. For RM that includes his album, Right Place, Wrong Person, which dropped in May.

This forthcoming record follows Megan Thee Stallion’s 2021 guest verse on BTS’ “Butter Remix.” At the time, the song’s rollout was reportedly nearly derailed after Megan Thee Stallion’s former label, 1501 Entertainment, supposedly attempted to block its release. It appears this go around is flowing much smoother.

Nicki Minaj’s recent Instagram Live session with her husband Kenneth Petty came under heavy fire for its flippant use of a homophobic slur. However, that wasn’t everything that they discussed and engaged in during the event, as they also spoke on their family dynamic with their son. For those unaware, the couple welcomed him in September of 2020 and have kept his name and most of his personal life a secret from fans, only referring to him as “Papa Bear.” During this recent IG Live, the Trinidadian MC revealed that she wanted to name him after incarcerated Jamaican dancehall icon Ninja Man.

“When I was pregnant, all I did was watch Ninja Man all day,” Nicki Minaj explained as Kenneth Petty shook his head at the idea that the name would be a “match.” “I think I told you guys I was going to call the baby Ninja. My husband didn’t really want me to call the baby Ninja, but I thought it was dope, you know. I had asked people around me and they said yes. I don’t see anything wrong with it. You know, Ninja.”

Previously, Nicki Minaj had revealed to Vogue last November that she’s a big nickname person, and after shooting down rumors that Papa Bear is named Jacob, she’s hinted at the context behind this moniker and what his actual name could be without outright confirming it. “I’ve always been a nickname person,” she expressed. “I give everyone I love these nicknames, normally. He actually had a couple nicknames. His first nickname while he was in my stomach was ‘Bubba.’ When he came out, it just transformed into ‘Papa Bear.’ I can’t explain it, but when I looked at him, that’s what I thought.”

Tory Lanez Earns New Gold & Platinum Certifications As An Independent Artist

Tory Lanez is dropping a whole lot of music from prison right now, one of two key factors in his continued albeit incarcerated success. Of course, the other factor is just how popular his art remains, as evidence by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) handing him new certification plaques for various sales milestones as of Wednesday (August 28). Moreover, these are a Gold certification for the album Alone At Prom, a triple Platinum certification for the song “The Color Violet,” and a Gold plaque each for the songs “Hurts Me” featuring Trippie Redd and Yoko Gold, “Lavender Sunflower,” and “Lady Of Namek.” All of these releases came out independently via Umbrella Records.

Furthermore, this adds to Tory Lanez’s other impressive streaming and sales achievements as of late while he completes his prison sentence. For example, the aforementioned “The Color Violet” became the first song to reach over a billion streams across all platforms without any editorial playlist support at all. He is now the first artist to achieve a goal of this fashion, and probably feels incredibly grateful for his fans’ continued support. Say what you will about the Canadian creative’s crimes and statements, but his art continues to resonate.

Tory Lanez’s New Gold & Platinum Plaques

Elsewhere, Tory Lanez is also making some big life changes while in jail, such as finishing high school and pursuing a college education. I’m great,” he told Adin Ross during a recent phone call. “I know that a lot of people sometimes when they hear prison or they hear somebody’s down, they think n****’s in the corner somewhere bawling his eyes out. […] A n***a just graduated high school, enrolled in college. Never thought I’d do that. But I’m taking this moment and I’m taking advantage over everything that’s good. I’m a f***ing high school dropout that just graduated high school. That s**t matters to me. So, it’s the small things that just have me feeling good about life right now.”

All in all, this is a part of the process of Tory Lanez “bettering [himself] in every single way” after landing “in a great space mentally.” There’s still a lot of speculation over what really happened in the Megan Thee Stallion case, but at least he’s not stressing out too much over it. At least, that’s what we see in the public eye. This focus on self-betterment, accountability, and perseverant progress is much more important than trying to change history.

However, this report comes from an unverified source, so it’s more likely than not that it’s just a salacious rumor. Either way, it does have people reflecting on J. As far as other alleged divorce details, another supposed insider report claimed that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez broke up because he fears that her fast lifestyle will lead to his reversion to alcoholism. These are incredibly personal and heavy allegations, so take them with a grain of salt. Perhaps we will never truly know the reason as to why they called it quits.
