Nicki Minaj Sent Sabrina Carpenter A Bouquet For Outselling Travis Scott

Sabrina Carpenter’s album Short N’ Sweet barely managed to edge out Travis Scott’s tape Days Before Rodeo on this week’s edition of the Billboard 200 chart, earning the approval of Nicki Minaj.

The recording industry can be a competitive business, but no one takes that competition more seriously than Nicki and her minions. And while she’s usually the one in the lead on any given release week, she apparently still considers her No. 2 debut for Queen in 2018 a black spot on her record because of Travis Scott’s Astroworld. Nicki has clearly been out for revenge ever since, and this past week, she finally got it, in a way, thanks to Sabrina Carpenter. Nicki thanked Carpenter for avenging her by sending her a massive bouquet of white roses. Carpenter posted a photo of the bouquet on her Instagram Story with a caption reading, “I adore u + the barbz :’) this is so thoughtful!!!! and these are so beautiful.”

Carpenter took up the challenge of putting Travis in his place when the release dates for their respective projects — her album Short N’ Sweet and his mixtape Days Before Rodeo — fell on the same day. “This one’s for Nicki,” she wrote on Twitter, reminding fans of Nicki’s 2018 feud with the Houston rapper for outselling her by skirting Billboard‘s counting rules (she did the same, but that’s neither here nor there for Nicki. If she wins, it’s because she’s the best; if she loses, there was a conspiracy rife with chicanery to keep her from her deserved success). Nicki clearly appreciates the thought.

Ralo Blasts Fake Love For Rich Homie Quan

The death of Rich Homie Quan shocked the hip-hop world this week. There’s been no shortage of reactions from every corner of the culture, whether it’s from longtime fans, newer listeners, or people who had heard of him thanks to snitching accusations regarding the YSL RICO trial. On this particular note, Ralo is calling out people who accused the late rapper of this behavior but are now praising and showing him love following his death. Both reactions are very understandable and human, but it’s clear that this will be a complicated and tough process of reckoning with past narratives and disagreements.

“I just seen the whole world call the brother #RHQ ah rat and now look smh… FAAAAKKKKEEEE,” Ralo captioned his recent Twitter post blasting this fake love. “This that s**t I be talking about,” he says in the video itself. “Y’all n***as be so fake. The whole world was just calling this man, Rich Homie Quan, a rat. Soon as he die, ‘Oh, that was my friend. I love him.’ Boy, y’all n***as so goddamn fake ’round this motherf***er, man.”

Ralo Speaks On Fake Love For Rich Homie Quan

Meanwhile, this is what Ralo had to say for Rich Homie Quan as a tribute. “Real men have conversations that end conflicts before our lord lay us to rest,” he wrote on Instagram “I appreciate you for being a real man, father and brother in ending our beef before our meeting day with our lord. I will extend my hand to your family for any help they may need. #LLRHQ [broken heart emoji].” For those unaware, the two had a pretty nasty beef dating all the way back to 2016, but they buried the hatchet in 2021.

Days before he passed, Rich Homie Quan sought to have a conversation with Young Thug. “We do have a lot of music that hasn’t been released,” he remarked during an interview. “But who knows what the future holds? First and foremost, it’s free Thugger. It’s free anybody that’s locked up, it’s free Lucci. It’s a touchy situation, so I try not to talk about it a lot. But I don’t know what the future holds, man, you know what I’m saying? I’m willing to have a conversation, and it’ll start from there.”

Lil Woody has been enjoying his freedom as a result of his role as a state’s witness in the YSL RICO trial, and this has manifested in bizarre ways. Most recently, he apparently was a guest speaker at a law class. While the clip below doesn’t show what Woody specifically talk about, we can assume that it was almost definitely about this court case. After all, they even previewed some footage from one of his testimonies on the witness stand, as you can see on one of the visible screens in the video. In the comments section of Akademiks’ post below, though, Ralo couldn’t help but mock this. “Like I said he round this bih living it up,” he wrote.

Furthermore, we can assume that Ralo isn’t a big fan of Lil Woody’s testimony, but the former is dealing with other beef at the moment. “You think you just gone go up on me while im in prison can’t fight for myself and when i get out I wasn’t gone say s**t,” he recently ranted against Boosie Badazz during their bizarre social media feud. “Ima delete everything I said off my page for the people, but that conversation is needed fam…”

Lil Woody At A Law Class: See Comments For Ralo’s Reaction

Elsewhere, Lil Woody recently took a break from all his court antics to pay tribute to Rich Homie Quan amid news of his passing. “RIP,” he wrote on his Instagram Story, posting a picture of RHQ with Young Thug. “I hate this happen I pray that God protect thug and them from this country.” Considering the complicated bond that these Atlanta rap figures shared over the past decade-plus, this is a tragic end with a heartfelt sense of solidarity.

Meanwhile, we’ll see whether or not the Welcome Home rapper has anything else to say about the YSL RICO trial or Lil Woody’s role in it. It’s a very hot topic and one that elicits a lot of scrutiny, especially with all the courtroom firestorms and scandals that pop up on occasion. Maybe Ralo would rather keep quiet and wait for what happens. But we doubt that Woody will do the same, especially as more footage from this law class will surely emerge.

Sexyy Red Stays Raunchy & Braggadocious On “U Kno What To Do (UKWTD)” Two-Pack

Sexyy Red’s topical focus in her songs is probably the most predictable as you’re going to find in hip-hop. No matter what the title of the track is, it’s going to pretty easy to guess what she’ll be rapping about. Usually, it’s about dirty s*x, her sexuality, other femcees hating, or about her wealth/looks. It’s pretty rare that you’re going to hear anything else than this handful of subjects. You may get a slightly different stylistic approach here and there in terms of how she presents these ideas, but that’s about it. That is pretty much the case for Sexyy Red on “U Kno What To Do (UKWTD)”.

Here, she kicks off the track with some awkward auto-tuned singing that she’ll play around with here and there. On “U Kno What To Do”, Red raps about a man she’s with who essentially knows how to treat her right in the bedroom, As per usual, you’ll hear some really descriptive bars about their sexual encounters. However, this isn’t her only new song. This track is a part of a two-pack which includes “Clouted Up”. This is the more boastful record, as she calls out the “lame(s)” that can’t hang with her. Overall, it’s standard fare from the Hood Hottest Princess.

Quavo And Offset Seemingly Revealed They Have Reconciled Following Rich Homie Quan’s Tragic Death

Sadly, Rich Homie Quan died at just 34 years old yesterday (September 5). The heartbreaking passing has hip-hop fans and acts in deep mourning over the mixtape legend.

Now, Rich Homie Quan’s untimely death is bringing the late “Spin” rapper’s former collaborators back together. Yesterday, former Migos members Quavo and Offset revealed that have seemingly ended their tension-fueled feud, as Rich Homie Quan’s passing sparked a conversation between them.

Quavo reflected on the calamities Atlanta’s biggest hip-hop figures have faced (viewable here) in his Instagram Stories. “May God be with us. Never saw this being apart of our journey,” he wrote reflecting on Young Thug’s incarceration and Takeoff’s and Rich Homie Quan’s deaths.

In another upload (captured by The Shade Room), Quavo shared an update regarding the pair’s relationship, writing: “Good convo with my bro.”

At the end of the upload, Quavo tagged Offset as he used his song “Nothing Changed” with the late Takeoff to seal the deal. During the 2023 BET Awards, the pair performed a touching tribute to Takeoff. However, rumors claimed the pair were not in the best place.

Fans even cited several bars Quavo that rapped on his album, Rocket Power, to back the reports.

But in April, Offset silenced the whispers by publicly wishing Quavo a happy birthday, writing: “Happy gday my brother @quavohuncho love you 4L (or for life).”

With Quavo’s recent Instagram Stories post, it is abundantly clear that the two have mended their relationship. Although fans will probably never get another Migos album, at least they can rest assured knowing the surviving members are reunited in another way.

Eminem’s Mother Reportedly Diagnosed With Terminal Illness

According to a new report from In Touch Weekly, Eminem’s mother Debbie Mathers is terminally ill following a lung cancer diagnosis. This is still an early story in development with no official confirmation at press time, so take this news with a grain of salt. Nevertheless, according to an alleged source who reportedly spoke to the outlet, “[t]here are not many options [for Debbie]. She is currently staying between the cancer center and with family members. She has a very limited amount of time [left].” Furthermore, the 69-year-old’s superstar son Marshall has taken care of her financially for many years, per this report and alleged source. But they apparently haven’t contacted each other for a long time.

“People around her aren’t even sure if Eminem is even aware of what is happening to his mother,” the alleged source claimed. “He’s good to his mom. He makes sure he takes care of her, but they don’t really talk. It would be good for both of them [to communicate]. This could give them the chance to reconcile.” As you probably already know, the two have had a very complicated relationship over the years.

But this is sadly not Debbie Mathers’ first experience with cancer, as she was previously diagnosed with breast cancer. “I’m still under doctor’s care, which I probably will be for a while,” she told The Village Voice back in 2018. “Basically a lot of the stuff is hereditary, but that happens. Cancers and heart disease and all that, and all the genetic things … I worry about my boys, having high blood pressure and things.”

While the relationship between Eminem and his mother is a rocky one, they always come together at the end of the day. “Marshall, I want to say, I could not let this day go by without congratulating you on your induction into the [Rock and Roll] Hall of Fame,” she told him in 2022. “I love you very much. I knew you’d get there. It’s been a long ride. I’m very, very proud of you. And also I’m very proud of Hailie Jade, my big girl. Moreover, news broke on Thursday (September 5) that he apparently welcomed his 12th child with a ninth baby mama, who is a woman named Hailey that seems to have confirmed this on social media. Reportedly, the Baton Rouge rapper’s new child is a daughter named Kiori who apparently came into this world last year.

Meanwhile, YoungBoy’s 11th child (a complete mystery apart from their mother Drew Valentina) arrived in April of last year. Despite having many children, he’s spoken in the past about how fatherhood is not really his vibe. Maybe the “Matador” MC will have a change of heart down the line, or perhaps his family will grow even more.
