Kanye West Wanted To Change His Name To “Christian Billionaire Ye”

In a 2022 interview with conservative commentator Candace Owens that recently became publicly available, Kanye West makes a number of statements. It’s expected for Ye, whose public perception has arguably never been lower than it is right now. The interview, filmed shortly after Ye made antisemitic remarks that caused him to lose his highest-profile sponsorships, touches on a variety of topics. Ye addresses the comments and “White Lives Matter” marketing. He gives props to Drake and Jay-Z, two artists he previously fell out with. He calls the former the greatest of all time by sales and the latter the greatest of all time when discussing inspirations.

During the interview, he also claims that he considered changing his name to “Christian Billionaire Ye.” “My name is Ye. I take it like you’re calling Caitlyn [Jenner] ‘Bruce.’ My name is Ye. Also, refer to me as ‘Billionaire.’ Christian Billionaire Ye,” says Ye in the clip. “Matter of fact, I may legally change my name to ‘Christian Billionaire Ye’, so you’re forced to call me it.” On a ranking of the most questionable decisions Ye’s made, a name change like that would have been on the lower end.

Kanye West Wanted To Become “Christian Billionaire Ye”

Kanye West sitting down with Candace Owens is not surprising. Owens attended the fashion show where Ye debuted the “White Lives Matter” shirts, even wearing one herself. The two were friends at the time of the interview’s filming, though it is unclear if the two have had a change in their relationship. Ye is known for burning bridges, even with those who seem to align with his beliefs. Owens claimed that she sat on the interview for so long because she was waiting for “the right time.” One can assume that this was the right time, in her mind.

Kanye West recently released Vultures 2, the second of what is intended to be a trilogy of collaborative albums with Ty Dolla $ign. The album has received mainly negative reception, with even Ye’s biggest fans calling it a dud. Nelly Hit With Ecstacy Possession Arrest

Nelly was arrested by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Gaming Division at the Hollywood Casino around 5:00 AM on Wednesday over a failure to appear warrant from 2018 out of Maryland Heights. To make matters worse, he was in possession of four ecstasy pills, a controlled substance, and was without insurance at the time. Maryland Heights Police picked him up from the highway patrol and placed him under arrest. He’s since been released from jail.

Nelly has yet to speak out on the situation on social media. His mugshot is currently floating around the internet, in which he appears in a black hoodie with a white t-shirt and a necklace. His eyes are somewhat red.

When The Neighborhood Talk posted the mugshot on Instagram, fans had plenty of reactions. “This man has had heroin, cocaine and pills found on his tour bus throughout the years and a couple years ago he was so high when he performed people thought he was possessed and y’all surprised? Am I the only one that remembers all this,” one user commented. Nelly previously pleaded guilty to misdemeanor possession of marijuana and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia in 2015. Another social media user referenced the news that he and Ashanti are getting their own reality show. “Well DAM NELLY!!!! bad look after getting millions dollars for that NEW ‘family reality show’ with your new wifey….” they wrote.

PnB Rock Murder Suspect Found Guilty On All Counts

Today, nearly three years after the fatal shooting of PnB Rock, his family has finally gotten justice. Freddie Trone and Tremont Jones’ trial came to an end, according to Rolling Stone‘s Nancy Dillon, and they were both hit with guilty verdicts. Trone was found guilty of murder, two counts of robbery, and one count of conspiracy. Jones was found guilty of robbery and conspiracy.

Trone is the father of the 17-year-old believed to have pulled the trigger back in 2022, who was deemed mentally unfit to stand trial last month. Prosecutors accuse Trone of instructing his son to enter the South Los Angeles Roscoe’s Chicken ‘N Waffles to rob the rapper after Jones tipped him off.

Trone, on the other hand, insisted that he only helped his son after the shooting had already been carried out. “I understand you’re trying to put together your story,” he told prosecutors earlier this week, “I never had nothing to do with it, I wasn’t there. I didn’t tell nobody to do nothing, I didn’t hand nobody no gun.” Clearly, the jury wasn’t buying his story. Dates for Trone and Jones’ sentencing have yet to be announced.

The news comes shortly after PnB Rock’s mother, Deanna Allen, called Trone out in an interview outside of the courtroom. “His lies are ridiculous. That is ridiculous. The surveillance should speak for itself,” she told Rolling Stone. “They’re trying to say they had nothing to do with it. It’s unacceptable. C4Y Wants Fans To Know He Has Money On “GREED (PROMISE IM PAID)

C4Y returns with a fast pace up-tempo record titled “GREED (PROMISE IM PAID).” The budding Chicago rapper has been making some noise in the underground rap community as of late. He has also has been turning heads for the producers whose beats he’s gone over as well. “GREED” is produced by ToddGleeFul. The producer is newer to the game, but he has already worked with Lil Uzi Vert Sexyy Red, Glorilla, Chief Keef, and others. An accomplished producer like that working with an underground artist is important. Additionally, C4Y has released six projects since debuting in 2021, the most recent of which came out on Halloween 2023.

C4Y is working on finding his sound, as he’s a young artist with only around three years of experience. His songs are catchy, and “GREED” sounds very similar to something that Playboi Carti would do, while also sounding similar to Lil Baby. He experiements with his flow and cadence, trying to figure out what is going to work for him as he continues to find his lane in the changing hip-hop world. The beat is noisy and also sounds a lot like something that Carti would find himself on. C4Y raps about expensive clothes, expensive fragrances, and buying those same expensive items for his partner. It’s a braggadocios track that fans of his will surely love. In the current climate, anyone can become a star. With a viral moment on something like TikTok, C4Y could become the next major artist out of Chicago. Stream the song below.

Lately, he’s been taking steps toward sobriety, and fans are glad to see him on a better path. Recently, however, he was recruited to give a motivational speech to a youth football team in Florida. A few of his comments have raised eyebrows, as social media users don’t think he delivered his message in a kid-friendly way.

“Say no to drugs,” he told the group of children. “They too good, y’all gone like em and go cr*zy.” While the advice itself is solid enough, many are pointing out that he appeared to address the group while holding both alcohol and a blunt. Others argue that telling young and impressionable individuals that drugs are “good” on any level is irresponsible.

Drake seems to have to the last word (at least for now) in one of his many ongoing beefs. According to XXL, some bars on “It’s Up”, one of three songs released to The Boy’s finsta page and 100gigs.org, appear to be for A$AP Rocky. In the short closing verse, it reads something like this, “Knockin’ off the namebrand n****s in your crew / Heard you miss your dogs, now it’s long live who? Idiot“. Breaking it down, Drake targets the lesser-known members of the A$AP Mob and then ties that into the de facto leader’s 2013 project LONG.LIVE.A$AP.

We can certainly see this being a shot because Rocky was suspected to be subliminally firing away at Drizzy on his recent single “HIGHJACK”. “These n****s want my wife bad, the people want my next track/N****s swear they pimpin’, Scottie sippin’, get your wife back“. Obviously, this all ties into Drake’s past infatuation of Rocky’s now wife and mother to his two children, Rihanna. His constant clap backs at the Canadian enemy can certainly be looked at as warranted, though. Drake very possibly dissed the R&B queen last year on For All The Dogs.
