Lil Uzi Vert Finally Surpasses This Milestone With “Pink Tape”

Lil Uzi Vert’s Pink Tape was one of the biggest rap albums of last year, and even though it took a long time, it’s finally got its long-awaited seven-figure plaque to show for it. Moreover, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) certified its diamond status on Friday (August 9) after selling over one million album-equivalent units a little over a year after its release. Not only that, but the organization also certified the project’s biggest single, “Just Wanna Rock,” as quadruple platinum on the same day. But don’t forget about other highlights like “S***ide Doors,” “Fire Alarm” featuring Snow Strippers, “Nakamura,” and many more.

In other Lil Uzi Vert news, Boosie Badazz wasn’t too happy about his Marc Jacobs campaign appearance. “I was pissed,” he told DJ Vlad on VladTV. “Before he was all doing that, I was kind of f***ing with him. I just don’t agree with all his, like, s**t these men be doing out here. How’s somebody ever going to raise a strong young man when you’re looking like a strong young woman? But she reappeared all smiles and pregnant at the 2024 NBA Finals championship to celebrate her partner’s, Jayson Tatum, victory. Yesterday (August 10), the couple seemingly revealed their child’s birth at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Although Ella Mai nor Jayson Tatum have shared any family photos online, fans immediately began to congratulate the couple once behind-the-scenes clips of the Team USA family photoshoot were posted to X (formerly Twitter).

In the video (seen here), Tatum and his family gather to commemorate the men’s Olympic basketball team’s gold medal victory. As the visual progresses, Tatum is joined by Ella Mai and an infant child, all seemingly dressed in matching Team USA gear. This marks Ella Mai’s first child. For Jayson Tatum, this is his second. Tatum has a son, Jayson Jr, more affectionately known as Deuce, from a previous relationship.

For a while, fans wondered about the couple’s status, as they weren’t spotted out together. But it is safe to assume that they are still indeed boo’d up.

This left fans concerned and confused, particularly as Bhad Bhabie just welcomed her first child with him earlier this year. Amid all of this, she hopped online to share a bizarre message about him. “@xgamelv looking for a bbl latina h*e must b rich and have a house and cars he can use,” she wrote. This, of course, only added to the confusion.

The Game Will Reportedly Attend Court To Try To Prevent Potential Home Seizure

The Game just got a huge update in his sexual assault case, which his accuser Priscilla Rainey has been trying to collect her $7 million judgement that the court awarded her in this lawsuit for a few years now. According to court documents exclusively obtained by AllHipHop, he will show up in court on October 7 in Los Angeles and will have a chance to explain why the court shouldn’t seize and sell his mansion in Calabasas in order to fulfill his debt. U.S. District Judge Mark C. Scarsi signed this order on Wednesday (August 7) after Rainey served the rapper and his manager Wack 100 this summer in order to gain control over the Calabasas home.

Furthermore, a process server issued a notice of levy, writ of execution, and more to the duo, and Rainey accused The Game of putting his mansion’s deed in Wack 100’s name to block the seizure. In addition, she also reportedly subpoenaed Jayceon Taylor’s children’s school district for attendance records and proof of residence after seizing his publishing and label royalties. Priscilla Rainey was a contestant on his VH1 reality show She’s Got Game and sued him in 2015 for sexual battery, and the seven-figure judgement came from the court the next year.

Ray Vaughn weaves in more melodic moments here too, bolstered by woozy key embellishments that add to the dramatic string sample and gritty Cali percussion. As far as the lyrical content, the verses here are charismatic, boastful, clever, and vividly creative when it comes to his phrasing.
