Eminem fans have been waiting patiently for his new album The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce) ever since it was announced, and recently, they got an inadvertent sneak peek at what’s allegedly to come. X user @SyrianAlmond shared a screenshot from the Apple Music app yesterday (July 6), suggesting that the platform accidentally made the tracklist public while making it available to pre-save and later removed it.

Of course, fans were quick to take note of the features included on the list. Artists like J. Cole, JID, Black Thought, Tech N9ne, Ez Mil, and Royce Da 5’9″ are expected to appear. Billie Eilish is even listed as a featured artist on one track, and both Dr. Dre and 50 Cent are listed on another.

Of course, Slim Shady himself has yet to confirm whether or not the tracklist is legitimate. This also wouldn’t be the first time a fake tracklist popped up online shortly before a major release. Either way, it has fans more eager than ever to see what Eminem has up his sleeve. The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce) is currently slated for release on July 12. The new album isn’t the only thing fans have to look forward to, however. The Cole Bennett-directed music video for Em’s track “Tobey” alongside BabyTron and Big Sean was supposed to drop last week, but unfortunately, they ran into a bit of a delay as it wasn’t finished in time.

Bronny James NBA Summer League Debut Scores 4 Points on 2 for 9 Shooting

Bronny James finally made his highly anticipated NBA debut on Saturday, but it was a modest start. We’re being nice and patient but it was definitely modest. 

The rookie scored four points during his first Summer League game, where the Los Angeles Lakers were defeated by the Sacramento Kings 108-94 in the California Classic.

Let’s be real. It was his FIRST game. He dropped four and got his ankles crossed. Yes, it was bad but it was his FIRST game. Let the kid breathe. But the crossover he caught was crazy. Still, he survived. 

That still numbers don’t lie. 

James logged 21 minutes on the court, contributing two rebounds, two assists, and a steal. 

His shooting was off target, hitting only 2-of-9 from the field, missing all three attempts from beyond the arc, and failing to convert his two free throws.

Get this, his first NBA points came from a layup in the second quarter, followed by a midrange stepback shot. 

Although his father, LeBron James, could not attend the game due to his commitments with the Team USA basketball roster, he showed support from afar. LeBron watched a clip of Bronny’s first points and praised his son for being “tough.”

Okay, how cool is that. His father/teammate is showing love while working out for team USA getting ready for the Olympics. Wild. 

The game saw Kings guard Adonis Arms, who went undrafted in 2022 but has two seasons of G League experience, lead with 32 points and 11 rebounds. Now THAT should be the story. Adonis Arms. He has an NBA name if there ever was one. 

Guard Antoine Davis added 20 points off the bench for Sacramento. No big deal, just dropped a light 20.

For the Lakers, forward Blake Hinson led the scoring with 17 points off the bench, shooting 5-of-7 from three-point range. Guard Tommy Kuhse added 15 points and 8 assists, while center Colin Castleton contributed 11 points and 10 rebounds. Solid performances from Bronny’s teammates but he’s the focus. His last name is the story. 

ICYMI, last week, Bronny signed a multi-year guaranteed contract with the Lakers, securing a four-year, $7.9 million deal on Wednesday.

Kanye West’s Lawyer Says Ye Won’t Pay or Speak to Him in Assault Civil Suit

An attorney representing Ye is looking to be relieved from the case in a lawsuit brought by an autograph dealer, who claims the rapper assaulted him after requesting an autograph. C’mon Ye.

Get this, the lawyer, Brian Brumfield, states that Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, has ceased communication and refuses to pay for his legal services. Granted this is only one side of the story but if Ye is not communicating, then the assertion quite frankly, is what it is.

Diving into the case itself, the plaintiffs in the Los Angeles Superior Court case are Justin Poplawski and his wife, Tiffany Marshall. 

ICYMI, the lawsuit alleges that Ye blamed his foul mood on his divorce from Kim Kardashian. Poplawski’s claims include assault and battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligence, while Marshall alleges a loss of consortium. However civil, these are no minor claims.

Regarding the attorney looking to walk away, court papers filed Monday with Judge Theresa Traber, Brumfield asserts that Ye terminated their working relationship on June 21. “Defendant also will not speak to counsel and defendant refuses to pay counsel as well,” Brumfield states in the documents.

Back to the suit, Poplawski had previously obtained Ye’s autograph without any issues. On January 13, 2022, while standing on a sidewalk near the exclusive Soho Warehouse social club on South Santa Fe Avenue in downtown Los Angeles, Ye allegedly saw Poplawski, declared he would make an example of him, and referenced his divorce from Kardashian. If you’re not familiar, Soho Warehouse is part of Soho House chain of social clubs around the world. That particular club is located in the Art’s District of Los Angeles and also is a hotel. Ye was staying there at the time from reports. It’s fair to assume he hasn’t been there since the incident.

The suit claims that Ye then struck Poplawski, who asked for an apology. Ye allegedly responded, “Apology for what?” and struck the plaintiff additional times, causing severe injuries. This is wild. 

The suit, filed on January 10, also mentions that Ye, now 46, began shouting at his own companions, one of whom urged him to stop hitting Poplawski. Unreal. The patience of his team.

A hearing on Brumfield’s withdrawal motion is scheduled for July 29. Maybe Kanye will find a new lawyer to handle this case or maybe he won’t. Doubt Ye, give a damn.

Busta Rhymes Cusses Out Fans For Not Standing and Fiddling with Phones During Essence Festival Set

Busta Rhymes was visibly upset, actually downright irate with the crowd’s lack of energy during his performance at the Essence Festival on Friday night. 

The 52-year-old rapper, known for hits like “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See,” expressed his frustration with fans who were on their phones instead of engaging with the show. In fairness to the crowd, which was not full by any stretch, was that the right venue for a Busta performance? The Essence Festival brand is closer to R&B and jazz so maybe legacy Hip Hop may not have been the right move this year.

As the video of Rhymes’ tirade circulated on social media, many users commented on the empty seats in the audience. 

One social media user provided context, explaining that the low turnout was likely due to a severe rainstorm outside the event. 

“For context, there was damn near a hurricane outside of the stadium. That is why there were only like 400 people in there,” the user noted, sharing a video of the downpour. He added, “Also, don’t judge a short clip, it was light-hearted, and he put on an amazing set. My section had a ball.”

Busta went on to rant:

“F—k them camera phones. Let’s get back to interacting like humans. Put them weird ass devices down. I ain’t from that era. Them s—ts don’t control us all. F—k your phone,” Rhymes said, according to a fan’s video shared online.

Rhymes, whose real name is Trevor George Smith Jr., proceeded to call out individual audience members, urging them to stand up for his performance.

That part was a choice, albeit not the best one but Busta did not give a damn.

“I’m gon’ point every last one of y’all out until y’all asses is up,” he declared. “33 years of this s—t. I ain’t used to n—as sitting down at my show. I don’t give a f—k. All age groups, get your ass up, now.”

He continued his rant, targeting those seated at the top of the venue: “F—k goin’ on? Get y’all big head asses up.”

Get this, Rhymes explained that his outburst, which he described as having “zero tolerance for bulls—t energy,” stemmed from the significance of the event. “This is my first time in New Orleans at the f—king 30 year anniversary of the Essence Festival. Make me feel like we home,” he said in closing.

Trolls Booed Ice Spice And Taylor Swift’s Collaboration At Rolling Loud, So The Rapper Graciously Clapped Back

You thought the crowd was feeling you? Well, Ice Spice surely hoped so. The “Gimme A Light” rapper’s Y2K! World Tour is off to a rough start.

During Open’er Festival, fans grew concerned about Ice Spice’s wellbeing after she seemed disassociated onstage. Today (July 7) the recording artist came face-to-face with a sea of trolls at Rolling Loud Europe. As Ice Spice performed “Karma (Remix),” her collaboration with Taylor Swift, the Austrian audience began to boo.

Initial, Ice Spice seemed confused by the reaction (especially considering Swift’s global reach). But, shortly after the audience flashed a few thumbs down motions toward her, Ice Spice responded by blowing a kiss.

Users online applauded Ice Spice’s action while clowning the overwhelmingly male perpetrators.

“Men used to go war, and now they show up to Ice Spice sets and hate on a woman 1,000,000 times out of their league,” wrote one user.

“Imagine going to an Ice Spice set, then booing Taylor Swift when their collab plays. What losers,” penned another.

“TayBlessings for Ice,” chimed another.

“Love her. Men are f*cking weird,” added another.

Taylor Swift and Ice Spice’s friendship has continued to blossom since their song. They were even spotted together at Super Bowl 2024. Based on Ice Spice’s defense of Swift, they will remain strong.

6ix9ine’s Seized Vehicles Appear On Government Auction Website

Back in April of this year, it was reported that two of 6ix9ine’s vehicles were seized due to alleged “nonpayment of internal revenue taxes.” The vehicles included a Lamborghini Urus and a Bentley Continental GTC, which are both decorated with rainbow paint splatters. Of course, their unique design made them pretty tough to miss, and photos of them at a facility were quick to turn up online. Shortly after, it was revealed that his entire Florida home had actually been raided, and that authorities took several more of his belongings too.

At the time, 6ix9ine was in the Dominican Republic sorting out some other legal issues. Late last month, he returned to the U.S., though it’s unclear whether or not he plans to stay. What is clear, however, is that he’s unlikely to get his cars back. According to No Jumper, they’re currently up for auction on a government website.

6ix9ine’s Vehicles Have Starting Bids Of $20K

Bidding is set to begin tomorrow (July 8), and each of the vehicles has a starting bid of $20K, which is expected to increase quickly once bids start to roll in. Based on photos from the site, one of the vehicles still has what appears to be a bullet hole in his driver side window, which sparked some concern and speculation shortly after it was confiscated. At the time of writing, it still remains unclear exactly when and how that happened.

MC Lyte and Queen Latifah are two of the greatest femcees of all time, building their indelible catalogs off of the strength of great albums like Eyes On This and All Hail The Queen, respectively. But they’ve still got it, as they just released a new single and music video titled “King King.” It’s a tender, joyful, and celebratory homage to the success and happiness of Black men, whether it’s through fulfilling partnerships, financial freedom, supporting their communities, and much more.

Overall, it’s a very compelling portrait as MC Lyte gives these kings their flowers in her verses and Queen Latifah stresses the importance of resilience for the chorus.
