Two days after a thrilling last-second comeback in Game 1, Jaylen Brown and the Boston Celtics dominated Game 2, securing a 126-110 victory and a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals as the series shifts to Indianapolis.

Brown matched his playoff career-high with 40 points, spearheading Boston’s offensive charge. Jayson Tatum and Derrick White each contributed 23 points, with Tatum scoring 11 in the decisive fourth quarter and White sinking four three-pointers. Jrue Holiday added a double-double with 15 points and ten assists, ensuring a well-rounded team performance.

Tatum’s scoring in this playoff run has been remarkable, marking his fifth playoff with over 300 points. In reaching this milestone, he joins Celtics legends Larry Bird (six times), Kevin McHale, Sam Jones, and John Havlicek (five times each). Brown is just three points shy of joining this elite group.

Tyrese Haliburton scored 10 points for the Pacers and provided eight assists before exiting the game with 3:44 left in the third quarter due to injury.

The series moves to Indianapolis, where the Pacers will host Games 3 and 4 on Saturday and Monday. The Pacers boast a perfect 6-0 record at home this postseason, while the Celtics remain unbeaten on the road with a 4-0 record.

Vince Staples Releases Eighth Studio Album ‘Dark Times’

vince staples dark times

Vince Staples today unveiled his eighth studio album, Dark Times, via Blacksmith Records / Def Jam Recordings. This album marks a new era in the prolific artist’s career, blending dense lyricism with lush, layered beats, and offering wry, melancholic observations about life, while finding pockets of light in an endless dark.

Dark Times features minimal guest voices, relying on samples, studio friends, and a narrative outro by iconic alt singer-songwriter Santigold, who shares an apocalyptic yet awe-inspiring dream with Staples. Notable moments include the track “Liars,” which incorporates an excerpt from a 1973 conversation between Nikki Giovanni and James Baldwin about Black love, and “Government Cheese,” where Staples raps about an imprisoned friend reaching out after seeing him on TV.

The album balances its introspective themes with celebratory tracks such as “Étouffée,” a bouncy ode to Staples’ Louisiana roots, and “Little Homies,” a message encouraging the younger generation. “Freeman,” the final song before Santigold’s outro, showcases Staples’ reflective coolness.

Ahead of the album’s release, Staples shared the first single and visual for “Shame On the Devil.”

“It’s a testament to where I am right now and how I view things—it’s just a timestamp,” Staples says of the album. “I might not feel like that again tomorrow. But in the process of making this project, these were the things that spoke to me.”

In support of Dark Times, Staples will embark on his headlining BLACK IN EUROPA TOUR, starting June 4th in Cologne, Germany. The tour will visit Berlin, Paris, London, and Manchester before concluding in Birmingham, UK, on June 13. Staples will also perform at various European festivals in August, including Oya in Oslo, Flow Festival in Helsinki, and HipHop Open in Stuttgart. Kelly Rowland is providing context to viral images of her engaged in a heated moment with security at Cannes Film Festival.

“The woman knows what happened. I know what happened,” Rowland told the AP. “I have a boundary, and I stand by those boundaries, and that is it.”

“And there were other women that attended that carpet who did not quite look like me, and they didn’t get scolded or pushed off or told to get off. I stood my ground, and she felt like she had to stand hers, but I stood my ground.”

Cameras at the Cannes Film Festival picked up Kelly Rowland confronting security guards on the red carpet.

While on the carpet for the European film Marcello Mio, Rowland was being led by a woman guard, whom she had a message for. The guard’s response seemed to irk Rowland, who then gave her a piece of her mind.

Diddy Is Facing Yet Another Lawsuit, This One Alleging Sexual Assault, Battery, And More

The legal troubles continue for Diddy: Last night (May 24), NBC News reported that Diddy is facing yet another sexual assault lawsuit. This comes shortly after another one was revealed a few days ago.

April Lampros filed the claim in the Supreme Court of New York County. She’s suing Diddy over allegations of battery, sexual assault, infliction of emotional distress and gender-motivated violence.

Lampos alleges that while she was a fashion student at New York’s Fashion Institute Of Technology in 1994, she met Diddy. The rapper supposedly said he would mentor Lampros and offer industry connections, but he eventually became “aggressive” and “coercive.” Lampros claims Diddy sexually assaulted her on four separate occasions, including one incident where he forced her to take ecstasy and have sex with Kim Porter, Diddy’s former girlfriend.

Lampros says that years later, she learned that Diddy allegedly recorded himself and Lampros having sex and showed the video to others.

Diddy previously issued an apology after hotel security footage surfaced of him assaulting Cassie, saying, “It is really difficult to reflect on the darkest parts of your life, but sometimes you gotta do that. I was f*cked up. I mean, I hit rock bottom. But I make no excuses. My behavior in the video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video.”

Travis Scott & Live Nation Settle Final Astroworld Wrongful Death Lawsuit: Details

Travis Scott has been dealing with numerous lawsuits stemming from the Astroworld Festival tragedy that took place back in 2021. Overall, 10 people passed away during the event. This subsequently led to 10 separate wrongful death lawsuits. Nine of these lawsuits had been settled, as we previously reported. However, there was still one outstanding lawsuit pertaining to the death of nine-year-old Ezra Blount who was in attendance with his father. This lawsuit was supposed to go to trial in September.

Well, according to The Houston Chronicle, Scott, Live Nation, and Apple have settled the lawsuit with Ezra Blount’s family, out of court. Like the other lawsuits, the details of this settlement have not been made public. “The family is happy to resolve its claim against all defendants following the death of their son, Ezra,” Scott West, the lawyer for the Blount family said. “They look forward to continuing the process of healing and never forgetting.”
