Rico Nasty Doesn’t Hesitate To ‘Turn It Up’ On Her Fiery New Single

Rico Nasty has been on a roll. From her hot new merch collection to headlining the spring 2023 Monster Energy Outbreak Tour, the unhinged rapper is having a big year so far. Now she’s supplying the tunes to prove it.

Her new song “Turn It Up” is a great dose of Rico Nasty’s signature cutthroat hip hop. “I just put the cash in a stash / Why you lookin’ on my page and you ain’t even wash ya ass? / I got a check, now I don’t know how to act,” she raps against a fiery beat. The video follows the star as she cleans a house as a maid, though she’s not doing the best job while she sips wine while sitting on the kitchen counter. Watch till the end for quite the plot twist.

Last year, Rico Nasty unveiled her album Las Ruinas, which featured Don Toliver, Gucci Mane, Amine, Trippie Redd, Ppcocaine, Sukihana, and Rubi Rose. She was also a guest on Megan Thee Stallion’s album Traumazine for the song “Scary,” and she was recruited by Fred Again for a remix of his track “Jungle.”

Whenever she comes out with something new, you know it is going to sound amazing. Although she may not get the mainstream attention she deserves, there is no doubt she has a loyal fanbase. When she drops something, you know they are going to follow. Consequently, fans have been clamoring for new music, and it seems like Rico has finally delivered.

Today, Rico Nasty dropped a new song and music video for “Turn It Up.” Interestingly, this song features production from Dylan Brady of 100 Gecs. 100 Gecs is a group that is known for their off-the-wall product and insane vocals. Overall, a lot of hip-hop artists have worked with them, and they continue to be leaders in their field. As far as Rico Nasty is concerned, her style works well with Brady’s production, so it is easy to see why they would link up.

Rico Nasty Pops Off On “Turn It Up”

Immediately upon putting on this track, you are greeted by some skeletal yet loud production from Brady. Additionally, Rico Nasty is giving this track her all as we get some braggadocios lyrics. The energy is turned all the way up, and there is no doubt that this song would pop off at a festival. Overall, it is some of her finest work to date.
