PinkPantheress Explains Why Her Songs Are So Short And Dionne Warwick Doesn’t Love The Reasoning

PinkPantheress’ music is the embodiment of “here for a good time, not a long time”: Her signature hit, “Boy’s A Liar Pt. 2,” is barely over two minutes long, and most of her other songs are either shorter or not much longer than that. Now, PinkPantheress has explained the mindset behind her short songs.

On ABC News’ “Prime Playlist” segment recently, PinkPantheress explained, “I was able to experiment and making short songs was just a result of me experimenting. A song doesn’t need to be longer than two minutes 30, in my opinion. We don’t need to repeat a verse, we don’t need to have a bridge, we don’t need it. We don’t need a long outro.”

Dionne Warwick caught wind of this and she doesn’t agree with the sentiment. Yesterday (May 28), she shared the PinkPantheress quote on X (formerly Twitter) with just a question mark, then added, “I am not ‘getting’ her. Artists are allowed to create their art in any way they choose. However, I do believe a bridge is important.”

Somebody who doesn’t mind the brevity of PinkPantheress’ songs, it would seem, is Usher’s son: Usher hilariously told the story of his kid stealing his phone to get in touch with PinkPantheress.

Diddy Allegedly At Risk Of Indictment As Grand Jury Is Formed In New York

Diddy is one of the biggest music moguls in the world. However, he is currently being investigated by the Justice Department. As we have extensively reported, Diddy’s homes were raided a couple of months ago. This subsequently led to all sorts of speculation about what would happen next. Furthermore, the investigation came in the midst of numerous lawsuits and allegations against the artist. Since last November, Puff has been accused of sexual assault, rape, trafficking, and physical abuse, among other transgressions.

Most recently, Diddy was seen physically assaulting Cassie on camera. This hotel footage was from 2016 and immediately shocked the hip-hop world. Moreover, a recent article from Rolling Stone showcased testimonials from Diddy’s old friends, and they were not kind. This morning, things have seemingly gone from bad to worse for the mogul. Overall, this is due to the forming of a Grand Jury in New York, according to TMZ. The Grand Jury is located in the Southern District of New York, and it has been noted that witnesses might be asked to testify in front of it, very soon.

Diddy Under Investigation

After a months-long investigation, it appears as though prosecutors are looking to present the evidence they have compiled. Subsequently, the Grand Jury will take in the evidence, and decide whether or not Diddy will be indicted and on what charges. It’s being said that Homeland Security has been extremely careful with its investigation and that they are doing everything they can to make sure they build a solid case. While it is unknown whether or not Diddy will be indicted, this most recent development certainly puts the mogul at risk.

Kendrick Lamar & “Not Like Us” Stuck At No. 2 As Post Malone & Morgan Wallen Continue To Dominate The Charts

Kendrick Lamar found himself in the middle of a vicious battle with Drake just a few weeks ago. Overall, most fans have him as the winner of the feud. While “Meet The Grahams” was probably enough to win the battle, Kendrick ended up dropping a nuke with “Not Like Us.” It is a West Coast banger filled with scathing bars and some truly hilarious one-liners. It originally debuted at number one on the Billboard charts. However, it was dethroned in its second week by Post Malone and Morgan Wallen who teamed up on the song “I Had Some Help.”

During its second week, “Not Like Us” was simply number two on the charts. While many songs from the beef fell off hard on the charts, “Not Like Us” proved to be a true mainstay. Well, according to Billboard, Kendrick Lamar is staying atop the charts for a third straight week. Wallen and Malone are still at number one, although Kendrick is currently second for a second week in a row. This is a massive accomplishment for a diss record. If anything, it shows the record has legs beyond just a battle and that at the end of the day, it’s a versatile piece of music.

Kendrick Lamar Can Still Get Back To The Top

Kendrick has had a dominant start to the year. He has three platinum songs already, and fans are currently begging for an album. Hopefully, we get some new music from Kenny sooner rather than later.

Boi-1da Reacts After His Latest Tweet Sparks Rampant Drake Speculation

Drake is someone who fans have been wanting to hear from as of late. Overall, this is due to the fact that he just participated in a brutal fight with Kendrick Lamar. In the eyes of most, he came out of this as the loser. Furthermore, the Canadian megastar was hit with two reference tracks on Tuesday. The first of which was Vory on the song “Mob Ties” while the other one was PartyNextDoor on “Ratchet Happy Birthday.” It was a bad look for Drizzy, even if fans already knew he had ghostwriters.

Despite all of this, there are fans out there who just want him to release new music. They know that good music is what ultimately heals all wounds. Well, Boi-1da took to Twitter on Tuesday and had some folks in a frenzy. He simply tweeted “tap, tap tap tap,” which subsequently led to speculation that Drake was going to drop soon. DJ Akademiks posted the tweet to his Instagram page and insinuated that this could mean something. As you can imagine, this got fans riled up.

Boi-1da was paying attention to the social media frenzy, and he decided to react swiftly. In the comments section, he wrote “Guys LOL cmon man” with a laughing emoji. Sean Kingston and Mother Arrested in Multi-Million Dollar Fraud Scheme

Singer Sean Kingston and his mother, Janice Turner, have been arrested on multiple fraud charges, accused of orchestrating a complex scheme that allegedly defrauded over a million dollars in recent months.

According to arrest warrants released by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, the 34-year-old artist and his 61-year-old mother have been charged with conducting an organized scheme to defraud, grand theft, identity theft, and related crimes. The allegations span a series of thefts involving money, jewelry, a Cadillac Escalade, and furniture.

From October to March, Kingston and Turner reportedly engaged in fraudulent activities resulting in the theft of nearly $500,000 in jewelry, over $200,000 from Bank of America, $160,000 from a Cadillac Escalade dealer, more than $100,000 from First Republic Bank, $86,000 from a custom bed manufacturer, and additional smaller amounts from other sources.

The details of these crimes, while not fully disclosed in the warrants, paint a picture of an extensive and well-coordinated effort to defraud multiple businesses and financial institutions. The high-profile nature of the accused has drawn significant media attention, highlighting the severity and audacity of the alleged offenses.

This arrest follows a raid on Kingston’s rented Miami mansion, where local sheriffs took both him and his mother into custody. Kingston is currently being held without bond in California, awaiting extradition to Florida. Meanwhile, Turner’s previous fraud conviction in 2005, where she served 16 months in federal prison for bank fraud, has surfaced in court, influencing the judge to set her bond at an exorbitant $160,000.

Turner’s attorney, Sam Stark, argued for a more lenient bond, emphasizing that the current charges are non-violent and asserting that she poses no threat to the community. However, the judge maintained the high bond amount, requiring the defense to prove that the money used for bail comes from a legitimate source.
