The 10 Best Lines From Kendrick Lamar’s Drake Diss ‘Euphoria’

Today, Kendrick Lamar escalated his rap war with Drake in a huge way, launching an intercontinental ballistic missile with “Euphoria,” his response to Drake’s paired sallies, “Push-Ups” and “Taylor Made Freestyle.” After Kendrick initially threw down the gauntlet with his verse on Future and Metro Boomin’s We Don’t Trust You track “Like That,” fans were disappointed that it took him so long to clap back at Drake, especially after Drake made the critical error of employing AI reproductions of West Coast icons Snoop Dogg and Tupac Shakur on his latter response to “Like That.”

But any lingering disappointment was blown away — along with all expectations of plausible deniability — when Kendrick dropped “Euphoria,” the most scathing anti-Drake track from one of the Canadian competitor’s foes since “The Story Of Adidon.” In fact, that dust-up is one of the many points of contention Kendrick addresses in “Euphoria,” sneering, “F*ck all that pushin’ P, let me see you push-a-T / You better off spinnin’ again on him, you think about pushin’ me / He’s Terrance Thornton, I’m Terrance Crawford, I’m whoopin’ feet.” And that’s just one of the many, many haymakers Kendrick unloads on his opponent. Here are the 10 best lines from Kendrick’s latest Drake diss and what we think they mean.

“Cole and Aubrey know I’m a selfish n***; the crown is heavy / I pray they my real friends, if not, I’m YNW Melly”

Gifford, Florida rapper YNW Melly is currently on trial for allegedly plotting the murder of two members of his rap crew, YNW Sakchaser and YNW Juvy, and staging the scene to look like the result of a drive-by by rivals. K. Dot likens himself to Melly and Drake and J. Cole to Melly’s victims, pointing out how they couldn’t have been friends if Melly actually did set them up. In the same way, Kendrick doesn’t see Drake or Cole as friends in the rap business, only rivals.

“I hate the way that you walk, the way that you talk, I hate the way that you dress / I hate the way you sneak diss, if I catch flight, it’s gon’ be direct”

Self-explanatory, but it’s rare you see rappers state their emotions so plainly in rap battles. Kendrick doesn’t dress it up in any fancy metaphors, he just tells it like it is (although, on a personal note, I feel like if he REALLY didn’t like him this much, just fight it out. Let’s get all the way negative, as Vince Staples would say).

“My first one like my last one: it’s a classic, you don’t have one / Let your core audience stomach that; didn’t tell ’em where you get your abs from”

In “Push-Ups,” Drake taunts Kendrick over the lukewarm reception of his 2022 album Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. “Your last one bricked, you really not on sh*t,” he mocked. “They make excuses for you ’cause they hate to see me lit.” Here, Kendrick stands up for his misunderstood album, and in a bit of a non-sequitur, redirects attention to the longstanding rumor that Drake got liposuction in order to cut a more impressive figure.

“Surprised you wanted that feature request / You know that we got some shit to address”

Not much of a diss, but more of a surprising reveal, this line dishes some behind-the-scenes dirt: That despite the tension between the two rappers, Drake still wants to work with Kendrick, who would rather air out dirty laundry than collaborate with Drake again. According to some internet rumors, the song K. Dot turned down? “First Person Shooter,” on which Drake allegedly began the latest round of “sneak-dissing.”

“When I see you stand by Sexyy Red, I believe you see two bad bitches / I believe you don’t like women, that’s real competition, you might pop ass with ’em”

On a personal level, I have to say, I’m disappointed. Rap’s love for casual misogyny rears its ugly head yet again. Kendrick isn’t quite as evolved as he made out on his last album, and yet, there’s something to the idea that Drake engages in just as much misogyny as any rapper, he just dresses it up in “nice guy” rhetoric.

“Let’s speak on percentage, show me your splits, I make sure I double back with you / You was signed to a n**** that’s signed to a n**** that said he was signed to that n****”

Here’s some inside baseball, but also a deft reminder that those who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. When Drake baited Kendrick over his recording contract on “Push-Ups” (“The way you doin’ splits, bitch, your pants might rip”), he conveniently overlooked how bad his own first deal was. Now that Drake’s licensing his publishing to Republic, he’s in a better position, but it wasn’t too long ago he was in the same corner as a lot of rappers (and doing very little to improve conditions overall in the music biz).

“Why would I call around tryna get dirt on n****s? Y’all think all of my life is rap? / That’s ho sh*t, I got a son to raise, but I can see you know nothin’ ’bout that”

Another callback to “The Story Of Adidon,” Kendrick reminds listeners and Drake that rap gossip doesn’t dominate his waking hours — and that Drake had to be “bullied into being a father” (not to be a wet blanket, but I also hate this narrative for a lot of reasons, not the least of which is that all this started on a record from Future, of all people).

“Am I battlin’ ghosts or AI? N**** feelin’ like Joel Osteen / Funny, he was in a film called AI and my sixth sense tellin’ me to off him”

Off the wordplay alone, this might be the best bar in the whole damn song, although Kendrick accidentally (?) pulls a Mrs. Howard from Abbott Elementary (and like Sheryl Lee Ralph’s iconic character, we all know what he means). For all you kids whose birth year starts with a “2,” Haley Joel Osment (the person he meant to reference, not mega-church televangelist Joel Osteen) was a child actor best known for two roles: The Sixth Sense and AI: Artificial Intelligence. In the first, he played a traumatized child who could “see dead people” and in the latter, he portrayed an abandoned android hoping to become a real boy a la Pinocchio.

Kendrick name-checks Osment to take another dig at Drake for using an AI Tupac voice on “Taylor Made,” and the perceived disrespect of using a deceased rap legend to make his point for him using technology — i.e. “ghost or AI.” Dot’s play on “sixth sense” ties the metaphor together but also underscores his natural instinct for battle.

“Whoever that’s f*ckin’ with him, f*ck you n****s, and f*ck the industry too / If you takin’ it there, I’m takin’ it further; psst, that’s somethin’ that you don’t wanna do”

Kendrick ends with a familiar refrain, calling back to his longstanding distaste for industry politics and cold regard for fame. However, he also ends on a warning to Drake — his reprisal could well be even more vicious and revelatory if Drake decides to continue the game.

Drake Seemingly Responds To Kendrick Lamar’s “Euphoria” Diss

Drake got dissed today as Kendrick Lamar finally offered up his response to “Push Ups.” Overall, “Euphoria” is taking the world by storm in a big way. It is all that people want to talk about today. Every other story in the hip-hop world has been put on the backburner. Throughout the song, Kendrick takes some serious shots at Drake, and although some feel like the bars aren’t hitting, others believe this might be the greatest display of raw hate we have ever seen. Wherever you may stand on this topic, there is no doubt that things are getting interesting.

Since the release of the song, fans have been wondering whether or not Drake has heard it. Moreover, there are some who are contemplating whether or not Drizzy is going to drop the song anytime soon. Well, it seems as though Drizzy may have offered up a response. In the tweets below, you can see that Drake has been liking some Instagram posts. In one of these posts, the caption is simply, “That’s it?” Of course, this points towards Drake not being overly impressed with what K. Dot had to offer.

Drake With A Like

However, in another post from DJ Akademiks, there is a tweet from Daylyt where he puts Drake on the clock. Drizzy went on to like this as well, which hints that he could very well be looking into a response, sometime soon. For now, however, fans are just going to have to wait. It took each artist three weeks to respond, so we could be on that timeline yet again. Only time will tell if this escalates any further than it already has.

Let us know what you think of this response from Drake, in the comments section down below. Do you believe that a response track is on the horizon? Or do you believe that Drake is just going to leave this here and end it once and for all? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. North West Makes Her Directorial Debut With “TALKING” Music Video

North West, the eldest child between Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, continues to be heavily involved in her dad’s work. The 10-year-old phenom has been helping out with the VULTURES trilogy in many ways. She has performed onstage at various shows and listening experiences. Additionally, her singing skills were on full display on the first entry’s second single “TALKING.” All of this has inspired her to forge her own path, as she recently announced that she is in the process of making her first album. North West is now showing interest in directing, as a surprise second music video for “TALKING” is out now.

If you remember, right before VULTURES 1 hit streaming, Kanye dropped the track and its visuals on his social media accounts. In it, North was seen talking into her dad’s ear, and Ty Dolla $ign united with his only daughter, Jailynn. That video was directed by the D’Innocenzo brothers, with cinematography being handled by Matteo Cocco. However, this new video for “TALKING” sees North West take up the reins.

In fact, she is credited with writing responsibilities too. Co-directing this effort is Aus Taylor, with post-production duties in the hands of Medet. Finally, the shots were taken by Karim Belkasemi. This video is quite different from the original. Kanye is shown a little less in this version, with North and her friends talking up more of the runtime. There is a cute moment where her and her proud dad are boxing with each other. Ty Dolla $ign does pop up in the second half but he is by himself this time. Overall, it is artfully done, and North is showing that she is a sure-fire multi-hyphenate.

What are your thoughts on the new music video for “TALKING” being directed by North West? Which set of visuals for the song do you prefer more and why? Does this show that she has a bright future in music? Is this song still in your rotation? Are you still pumped for VULTURES 2? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding North West, Kanye West, Ty Dolla $ign, and VULTURES. Kendrick Lamar’s Name Mix-Up In New Diss Track “Euphoria” Goes Viral

Earlier today, Kendrick Lamar added yet another captivating chapter to his beef with Drake that first began last month. Drake’s response track “Push Ups” just debuted in the top 20 of the Hot 100 earlier this week. Kendrick saw an otherwise uneventful Tuesday morning as the best time to surprise drop a response track to the song called “euphoria.” The track is more than six minutes and features almost exclusively on tearing Drake down through a variety of different disses. While there are numerous cutting bars and name drops fans have honed in on, one particular mistake has also gotten quite a bit of attention.

In one lyric from the song, Kendrick makes quite a hilarious mix up. “Am I battlin’ ghost or AI? N*gga feelin’ like Joel Osteen, Funny, he was in a film called “AI,” And my sixth sense tellin’ me to off him” a lyric from the song reads. Subsequently, attentive fans noticed right away that he says the wrong name in the track. He’s making a reference to Haley Joel Osment, who acted in the films AI and The Sixth Sense. It’s a sharply written bar referencing Drake’s use of AI to recreate Tupac and Snoop Dogg’s voice in his second Kendrick diss track. Unfortunately, Kendrick confuses Osment for controversial televangelist Joel Osteen. Fans who noticed the mistake quickly took to social media to point it out.

Elsewhere in the song, Kendrick makes no mistakes about who he’s discussing. He brings up Sexyy Red to make jokes about Drake’s sexuality. He brings up Gunna and references his snitching allegations. And he also mentions Pusha T, who Drake famously beefed with in 2018. Additionally, Kendrick even queried some from Push’s “Story Of Adidon” diss by taking shots at Drake’s fatherhood.

What do you think of Kendrick Lamar confusing Haley Joel Osment with Joel Osteen in his new diss track “euphoria?” How much do you think the mistake discounts the particular line it was included in? Let us know in the comment section below.

Charles Barkley Roasts Draymond Green After Kenny Smith Diss

Inside the NBA is consistently the most entertaining basketball show on television. The chemistry between Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, Saq, and Ernie Johnson is endlessly entertaining. Throughout the last week of playoff games, Chuck and Shaq have been trying to beat Kenny Smith to the board. This has been recurring, and recently, Kenny has been getting beat in the foot race. On Monday, Kenny Smith was sweating more than usual, and NBA star and frequent Inside the NBA guest Draymond Green decided to throw some shade at The Jet.

Charles Barkley recently roasted the entire city of Galveston, Texas, when he said the Pelicans should be sent there for punishment. Barkley apologized to Tina Knowles, Beyonce’s mother, who is from Galveston, to ward off any beehive shenanigans. The latest roasting comes from Draymond Green, who made a joke on Twitter about Kenny Smith’s hairline or lack thereof. Charles didn’t let the comment slide, firing back a hilarious roast right back at Green.

Charles Barkley Says Green Should Come To Work Since He Has Nothing Better To Do

Kenny’s hairline has been much discussed. Sometime in the past few months, he showed up at the studio one day and had an outline of a hairline. Kenny was completely bald before that so many assumed he got some work done. Draymond decided to roast Smith on Twitter and called him Kenny Boozer. It is in reference to the hilarious pic of Carlos Boozer with sprayed-on hair from back in the day. The studio showed a pic of Boozer and everything, and Charles Barkley and the guys laughed out loud.

Then Charles Barkley clapped back in hilarious fashion. He told Draymond to come back to work because he’s “got nothing better to do,” since the Lakers didn’t even make the playoffs.  Draymond occasionally works for TNT, so Chuck is wondering where his colleague is at. If you want to joke with the Inside the NBA crew, you better show up for work, according to Chuck. Inside the NBA will be covering game 5 between the Philadelphia 76ers and the New York Knicks tonight. We will be looking forward to what ever hilarious moments come out of the iconic NBA show.

Latto Has Jokes After Fans Catch Her In A Lie

Latto has responded to fans labeling her a liar after her recent post about not trusting anyone who doesn’t use an electric toothbrush. She made the controversial remark in a post on Twitter, earlier this week, prompting plenty of debate between her fanbase.

“Latto, you [are] my fave, but why are you coming at us normal toothbrush people,” one user replied. Another countered with: “If you don’t replace your brush heads as often as you would a regular tooth brush then I don’t trust you.” Others took the comment even more seriously: “I can’t stand when people get money and start judging other people for things they’ve been doing for years. We are judging people for using a manual toothbrush now? If anything, I prefer a manual toothbrush to make sure I’m applying the same amount of pressure to each veneer, I mean tooth,” one Instagram user wrote.

Kendrick Lamar Drake Diss: Gunna Responds To Being Name-Checked

Today, we got a Kendrick Lamar Drake diss. The song is called “Euphoria,” and overall, it has set the hip-hop world on fire. Overall, this is what fans were expecting from a Kendrick diss track. It had been three weeks since the release of “Push Ups,” and fans were getting a bit worried. However, Lamar came through with a track that was well worth the wait. Fans and critics are still analyzing the bars, while also picking out their favorite verses. Clearly, Kendrick still has a grip on the culture, even if he isn’t always dropping albums.

On this new track, Kendrick throws some stray bars at quite a few people. In fact, there is one moment on the song where Lamar even talks about Gunna. “We ain’t gotta get personal, this a friendly fade, you should keep it that way/I know some shit about n****s that make Gunna Wunna look like a saint,” Lamar raps. It is a bar that comes a bit out of left field, and fans were curious about what Kendrick really meant here. That said, it appears as though Gunna has heard the track. He even offered up his reaction to the line on Twitter.

Kendrick Lamar Drake Diss Gets More Reactions

“Mannnn WASSAM ?!!” Gunna wrote. It was a simple response, albeit one that definitely got fans reacting. He immediately got some responses with fans telling him not to worry about it. At the end of the day, this feud is much bigger than him. Kendrick and Drake have been preparing for this moment, for ages at this stage. Only time will tell whether or not Drake decides to levy a response. After all, the Kendrick track was scathing and full of hate.

YNW Melly Name Drop On Kendrick Lamar’s Drake Diss Gets Fans Out Of Their Seats

Earlier this week, Kendrick Lamar dropped a bomb. After a week or so of waiting for a response to Drake’s “Push Ups” diss track, Lamar chose an otherwise innocuous Tuesday morning to go fully scorched earth. He dropped the 6-and-a-half minute song “euphoria” which is entirely focused on taking shots at nearly every single element of Drake’s life. It’s a pretty thorough diss track but some particular points on it still stand out.

Fans immediately latched onto some of the most jaw dropping moments like Kendrick bringing up Drake’s friendship with Sexyy Red to make jokes that he’s not into women. Kendrick also lit into the “Rich Baby Daddy” for his approach to fatherhood, which Pusha T also focused on in his legendary “Story Of Adidon” diss back in 2018. Yet another attention grabbing moment comes when Kendrick mentions YNW Melly. “Cole and Aubrey know I’m a selfish guy, the crown is heavy / I pray they my real friends, if not, I’m YNW Melly” one lyric from the song reads. Melly is currently on trial in the midst of a years long legal battle fighting double murder charges in Florida. Check out some fan reactions to the particularly savage bar below.

Kendrick’s “euphoria” diss track is already causing waves across the entire hip-hop landscape. Fans are sharing their first reactions and standout lines to social media. The song has many declaring that Kendrick won the beef outright. Even other artists are reacting to the track. One in particular being Metro Boomin, who also finds himself embroiled in a beef with Drake right now. All Metro could do was share somr crying laughing emojis.

Fans are awaiting responses from other people mentioned in the song like Sexyy Red, Gunna, and Pusha T. What do you think of Kendrick Lamar’s lethal new Drake diss track “euphoria?” What do you think is the most biting diss he delivers on the track? Let us know in the comment section below.

Kendrick Lamar Taunts Drake By Making Callback To Pusha T Beef On Surprise Diss Track

Kendrick Lamar is done sending warning shots like he did on his “Like That” verse. This time he is bringing out weapons of mass destruction. After leaving many wondering where he was after back-to-back responses from Drake, he has come out nowhere to tell The Boy he is done playing around. Just hours ago, Kendrick Lamar put out a new diss track “euphoria” on his YouTube page exclusively (for now hopefully). On the six-minute clap back, he addresses “Push Ups” and “Taylor Made Freestyle” with beat switches and ruthless shots. Across the track, Lamar calls Drake a scammer, a fake Black person, a dead-beat dad, and plenty more.

It seems K-Dot wanted to make it clear this time that the ball is now back in Drake’s court. That appears to be true, especially with bars like these. “Yeah, f*** all that pushin’ P, let me see you push a T / You better off spinnin’ again on him, you think about pushin’ me?” Lamar raps. This is a direct reference to Drizzy’s long-standing feud with King Push. Many view as one of his biggest L’s in his career and one that he still holds to this day. The Story Of Adidon was a vicious attack on Drake’s character and life choices, which is a similar approach that Lamar took as well.

Kendrick Lamar Came For Drake’s Life On This Diss Track

Essentially what Kendrick is saying here is that he needs to address that beef first before stepping to him. He also makes a clever reference to the time that Drake featured on Gunna’s “P power” and the song “pushin P.” Drake also used that popular catchphrase on his Her Loss track “Rich Flex.” “I’m steady pushin’ p, you n****s pushing PTSD.” This is a serious response from Lamar, and it will be interesting to see how this all plays out once again as the saga continues.

What are your thoughts on Kendrick Lamar referencing Pusha T on his new diss track “euphoria?” Was this the coldest bar on the song, why or why not? How long do you think we will have to wait before Drake responds to this? Who has the leg up in this battle right now? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section.
