Logic, aka Sir Robert Bryson Hall II, is finally ready to begin the Ultra 85 hype train. The multi-hyphenate hailing from the East Coast has let many years go by without dropping this project. In fact, some fans have claimed they have been waiting since their high school days for this to drop. Well, the endless waiting is seemingly coming to a close at some point this year. The last time Logic gave his supporters an update about Ultra 85 was back at the beginning of the month on his Instagram. The caption simply read “Ultra 85 2024,” with an image of the gorgeous artwork.
That can be credited to Sam Spratt who has done a plethora of his covers throughout his lengthy discography. This will be Logic’s first true album since 2023’s College Park in February. However, he did also drop a bandcamp exclusive mixtape Inglorious Basterd that featured some classic samples of other popular rap classics. But, for the first single, we have all the news on that.
Logic Reveals The Trailer And Single Release Information
In the video from a Twitter user, the short album trailer reveals a computer typing out words to announce the single release date. It will drop on this Friday, February 2. There is no single title as of now, but that could be announced in the next day or two. Fans of Logic will finally be able to feast once more very, very soon.
What are your thoughts on Logic’s single announcement and album trailer for Ultra 85? Do you think he waited too long to drop the album or are you still excited? Will the lead single be the song from the project? Who should be featured on the record? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. If you celebrate Chinese New Year, then you know that 2024 marks the Year of the Dragon. Overall, this is a wonderful celebration, and there is a lot of historical significance to it. Every single year, Nike delivers a collection of Chinese New Year-inspired sneakers. Consequently, we are looking at five incredible Year Of The Dragon shoes that you should be checking out right now.
Firstly, we have this Air Jordan 1 Low in the “Year Of The Dragon” colorway. It is a shoe that is packed with unique colors. From the green overlays to the shimmery red Nike swoosh, this shoe hits you with a punch. Moreover, there is some gold on the sneaker which gives you even more of a reason to pay attention. All in all, this is a sneaker you cannot go wrong with.
Secondly, we have the Adidas Harden Vol. 7. This is one of the more out of the box sneakers to come out over the past year or so. However, it certainly pays off, as does this “Year Of The Dragon” offering. From the white quilted pattern to the black and gold aesthetics of the back heel, this is a cool entry. If you want something that will help you stand out, this will definitely work.
Wmns Air Jordan 1 Low SE “Year of the Dragon”
Once again, we have an Air Jordan 1 Low on this. However, this time is a women’s colorway. Overall, this offering has a white base, burgundy overlays, and a gold Nike swoosh. In fact, this Nike swoosh has some nice patterns on it that bring the Chinese New Year aesthetic together. It’s an awesome aesthetic and one that should not be overlooked.
Nike Zoom KD 4 “Year of the Dragon 2.0”
Next up on our list, we have the newest version of “Year Of The Dragon” Nike KD 4. This new offering is one that is going to jump out at you thanks to the colors and the silhouette itself. Firstly, the shoe is covered in neutral clay tones that layer perfectly with one another. Furthermore, the red Nike swoosh on the lace strap gives this shoe the perfect pop of color. All KD fans need to go out and get these.
Air Jordan 2 Retro Low “YOTD”
Lastly, but certainly not least, we have this Air Jordan 2 Low “Year Of The Dragon.” This shoe has a unique white upper to it with some burgundy on the back heel. Furthermore, there is some gold trim to really make it pop. Burgundy and light green emerge from the outsole for good measure. Needless to say, it is another great return for the AJ2 Low.

Shannon Sharpe and Chad Ochocinco have become an incredible duo. Overall, they have a new show together called Nightcap that has been a huge success. Typically, the show is done at night after a few sporting events have gone on. It is a great way for fans to spend their evenings before going off to bed. Furthermore, these two have incredible chemistry and have found themselves in some massive debates. Last night, they had it out over the influence of Taylor Swift.
With Swift generating over $300 million in revenue for the NFL, Sharpe came out and said that Swift moves the needle more than Beyonce. Ochocinco did not want to hear this at all and fought Sharpe on the point. However, Sharpe stuck with his guns and even compared Swift’s influence to that of Michael Jackson. “Not like this,” Sharpe said. “I love Beyoncé. Beyoncé ain’t moving the needle like this chick, Ocho. No. [Taylor’s] the closest thing to moving the needle like Michael Jackson that we’ve seen.”
If you thought Sharpe’s take had angered Ochocinco previously, then you can imagine what the MJ comparison did. He was not having any of what Sharpe was selling here. However, eventually, he just had to concede as Sharpe would not back down. In the comments section to the episode, fans agreed with Shannon. The consensus was that while Swift may not be everyone’s favorite, her numbers do not lie. Moreover, some felt bad for Ochocinco as he is starting to lose a lot more debates than he wins.
No matter what, Shannon’s comments have stirred up quite a bit of debate. Let us know who you believe moves the needle more, in the comments section down below. While it may not be the biggest news in Nicki Minaj’s world right now, she’s just been announced as one of the headliners of this year’s Wireless Festival. The fest will take place in July of this year in London and features an absolutely stacked line-up of rappers. Nicki will be joined by Future as a special guest while the other headlining slots are occupied by 21 Savage and Doja Cat. While there are still quite a few spots in the festival that haven’t been announced yet, it already has an impressive collection of talent. Ice Spice, Sean Paul, Gunna, Sexyy Red, Rema, Tyla, Teezo Touchdown, and more will take the stage. Check out the lineup so far below.
Much of the discussion surrounding Nicki Minaj right now has to do with her beef with Megan Thee Stallion. It started when she released her new album Pink Friday 2 last month. The record featured lyrics referencing Tory Lanez and his shooting incident with Megan Thee Stallion. Last week, Megan unleashed her new song “HISS” which took aim at numerous critics of hers. Among them was Nicki Minaj, though she wasn’t named directly in the song. That’s led to a pretty robust response from Minaj.
Since Megan dropped “HISS,” Nicki seemingly hasn’t been off Twitter for long. She’s posted dozens of responses and retweeted hundreds of fan posts across the past few days. One of her tweets in particular spanned hundreds of words and had fans talking about her incoherent demeanor.
Eventually she followed it up with a response track of her own called “Big Foot.” Unfortunately for Nicki, the song has been widely criticized online for it’s allegedly false statements and lyrics borrowed straight from her tweets. What do you think of Nicki Minaj headlining this year’s Wireless Festival? Do you think the announcement was made now to capitalize on her viral beef? Let us know in the comment section below.
The next LEGO movie is thinking outside the box. Piece By Piece is coming to theaters and will be inspired by Pharrell Williams’s life. Sounds interesting …
The film is a Focus Features piece, no pun intended, and will be helmed by Director Morgan Neville, an Academy Award winner. Neville and Caitrin Rogers produce the new animated LEGO installment via Tremolo Productions. Williams, Mimi Valdés, and Shani Saxon are producing under Williams’ i am OTHER banner alongside LEGO Group’s Jill Wilfert and Keith Malone, executive producing Piece By Piece. Expect the film to feel like a biopic, albeit through the LEGO art form.
Focus Features say the film is described as “Pharrell set out to tell his story in a way that would set audience’s imaginations free. Developed from his singular vision, PIECE BY PIECE defies genres and expectations to transport audiences into a LEGO world where anything is possible.”
This is a long time coming as Neville said Williams pitched his story as a LEGO film five years ago. “It was one of those rare moments where I knew in a second that this was a journey I wanted to go on,” he said. “I’m so grateful to our partners at Focus Features and at the LEGO Group for their belief in our crazy mission. We assembled an incredible team of creative collaborators to help make a new type of film. I can’t wait for people to see it.”
Williams said, “When I had this crazy vision to tell this story through LEGO bricks, I couldn’t have imagined a better partner than Morgan. He is a legend. Grateful that Focus wanted to collaborate with us and I’m honored to share this with the world and bring people into my universe. Building with LEGO bricks encourages us to follow our imagination…who would’ve thought that playing with these toys as a kid would evolve into a movie about my life. It’s proof that anyone else can do it too.”
Piece By Piece is expected to hit theaters on Oct 11.
The Blackening’s star Jermaine Fowler is about to play a big role in a new R-rated comedy, Ricky Stanicky, alongside Zac Efron and John Cena for Prime Video.
Directed by Peter Farrelly, who gave us classic films There’s Something About Mary and Dumb and Dumber, his new project Ricky Stanicky is sure to keep audiences laughing from start to finish because this premise is outrageous, in a good way … Here’s the description:
Ricky Stanicky also stars William H. Macy, Lex Scott Davis, Jeff Ross and Anja Savcic.
Nicki Minaj took to social media to deny the use of cocaine after fans suspected her using the illegal substance during her rants against Megan Thee Stallion.
Over the past decade and a half, Nicki Minaj has been known for a couple of things. Yes, she’s garnered a ton of attention for her colorful outfits, her outsized multiple personalities, and her shapeshifting rhyme styles. But we’re here for the other thing she’s notable for: Rap beef.
Almost as soon as she appeared on the scene, Nicki was either being pit against other rappers by fans (remember when they tried to make Jean Grae vs. Nicki a thing?) or by cirucumstance. In more recent years, she’s been the one picking all of her fights, but in any case, rap beef has become as much a part of her brand as the color pink and associations with Barbie.
We’re going to skip over a bunch because we don’t want to be here all week and because some were about as one-sided as it gets (Azealia Banks, etc.). Here’s a list of (almost) everyone Nicki Minaj has had beef with in her career.
Nicki Minaj vs. Cardi B
This is probably the biggest one, and the first of Nicki’s modern beefs, in which she appears to punch down more than up. We’ve broken this one down before but here’s the gist.
After Cardi B blew up in 2017 with “Bodak Yellow,” fans pushed hard to get the two rappers to either collab or diss each other. They did the former first, teaming up on Migos’ “Motorsport” late that year, but some scheduling conflicts and friction led to Nicki getting miffed at the new kid on the block and spending the next year sniping at Cardi for her perceived disrespect (this is a common thread in Nicki’s feuds, as you’ll see further down the page).
Unlike most of Nicki’s rivalries, this is the only one that culminated in violence, and since then, they’ve mostly waged war via proxies, like the United States and Russia in the ’80s.
While one hasn’t exploded into outright hostilities, it’s been every bit as convoluted as the Queens rapper’s other vendettas. After JT tweeted that she “just don’t like Nicki” back in 2017, Nicki declared she would never work with City Girls. However, after a behind-the-scenes conversation (maybe they swapped Burn Books), she called a reset on their relationship, later employing JT on the “Super Freaky Girl” remix, leading to JT changing her tune and going after Cardi (Cold War tactics!).
Of course, helping Nicki to irritate Cardi only seemed to buy the Miami stars a few months of leniency, as she very quickly got into a heated back-and-forth with the other half of the duo, Yung Miami, on Twitter in May last year.
Notable Tracks: “Super Freaky Girl” Queen Mix.
Nicki Minaj vs. Latto
In 2022, Nicki Minaj recorded an incendiary episode of Queen Radio that led to two of her currently raging grudges with Latto and Megan Thee Stallion. Apparently taking offense to Latto’s assertion that women are currently thriving in rap, Nicki made it a point to throw the younger rapper under the bus.
However, Latto refused to take her insults lying down and has to date clapped back in a couple of songs, “Put It On Da Floor” and “Back Outside,” while Nicki supposedly issued her own diss on “Fallin 4 U.” Since then, it appears she’s assigned this beef to Ice Spice, who has made a few veiled references to “Put It On Da Floor” in her new music.
Notable Tracks: “Put It On Da Floor,” “Fallin 4 U,” “Back Outside.”
Nicki Minaj vs. Lil Kim
Before she was taking offense to every new girl getting love and not giving her credit, Nicki was being accused of doing the same by Lil Kim. It’s a little hard to hash out who actually started this one (thanks, Google, your new algorithm is great ), but basically, it was a reversal of Nicki’s reasoning with all the new women in rap.
Possibly the reason we’re all here today, Nicki has been going off on Megan on Twitter for about 72 hours as of this writing, dropping the song “Big Foot” and claiming all kinds of conspiracy theories (she also maybe has to let go of the “#1 on Apple” defense because if we break that one down, it’s not going to go well for her). We published a full timeline of their beef earlier today, but here’s a summary:
Megan and Nicki went from being collaborators to enemies after Nicki felt Meg’s joke about abortion was a step too far. Meg also worked with Cardi, a violation of Nicki’s apparent “choose a side” policy, and went on to continue doing her own thing without paying sufficient homage to Nicki. While it could be argued that Meg’s less influenced by Nicki than anyone else out these days, it was enough to prompt Megan to clap back with “Hiss,” prompting Nicki’s current aggressive spiral.
Notable tracks: “Ruby Da Sleeze,” “Hiss,” “Big Foot”
Nicki Minaj vs. Remy Ma
The last of Nicki’s “punching up” beefs, this one similarly revolved around an older rapper feeling disrespected by Nicki apparently stepping over her to find success. Remy Ma had had a strong run in the mid-2000s with “Conceited” and “Lean Back,” but was incarcerated during Nicki’s early rise to fame. Feeling slighted by Nicki’s quick ascent (rap really is wrestling), she began “sneak dissing” the newer rapper before the two began trading salvos throughout 2017 (“Shether,” “No Frauds“.
Most recently, they appeared to have settled their dispute in November of last year, but with as mercurial as Nicki has proven in the past, there’s no telling how long that’ll be the case.
Notable Tracks: “No Frauds,” “Shether.”
