Chlöe Puts Her Own Spin On Gunna’s ‘Fukumean’ In An Icy Cover

Chlöe treated fans to a new cover on Instagram today (August 2) as she performed Gunna’s “Fukumean.” In the video, she sits in front of a microphone wearing a jumpsuit, some matching sunglasses, and a diamond necklace. Her version puts a slower-but-still-powerful spin on the song as she proves her vocals are stronger than ever.

“Callin’ me splurge / Watch me jump right off the curb,” she delivers her own rap spin of the original lyrics over an entertaining beat. Basically, this should be available to stream.

Fans in the replies are loving her rendition too. “Never thought I needed a singing version, but I did,” one user wrote. “She’s back!!! Such a freaking superstar!!!” another commented.

Gunna himself has since even approved of her take, adding some fire emojis with a blue heart. It’s also an interesting choice, considering last January the two had added to the dating rumors after being spotted holding hands. Back in 2021, they had also attended a basketball game together, but Gunna denied the rumors at the time — before the hand-holding.

As for Chlöe, she’s set to kick off her In Pieces Tour next month in support of her recent debut solo album. A complete list of dates and more information is available here.

Snoh Aalegra Spills The ‘Sweet Tea’ On A Special Romance With Her New Single

Iranian-Swedish R&B singer Snoh Aalegra is gearing up for her fourth studio album. Today (August 2), Aalegra has shared “Sweet Tea,” a piano-driven ballad on which she reflects on a pleasant love.

“Sweet Tea” features Aalegra looks fondly on the time spent with someone in her life, finding safety and comfort in their presence.

“You make no sense / So perfect, it makes no sense / Like that empty cup you left in my, my fridge / And that sweet tea is sweeter than you, sweeter than you / Sweeter than you / It feels like I’m dreamin’, dreamin’ / But my dreams ain’t sweetеr than you,” she sings on the song’s chorus.

The song features production by prolific producer and Aalegra’s frequent collaborator, No I.D., and features a slight chord change near the end, encompassing the warmth and whirlwind of emotions accompanied by love. “Sweet Tea” follows Aalegra’s recent single, “Be My Summer,” which was released last month.

Though Aalegra hasn’t said much about her upcoming album, it’s likely that it may arrive soon. Her debut album, Feels, came out in 2017, and was followed by Ugh, Those Feels Again in 2019. In 2021, Aalegra dropped Temporary Highs In Violet Skies, continuing this biannual album release pattern. If this continues, we might be able to look forward to hearing Aalegra’s fourth album before the end of the year.

Sukihana Shares How Being In Special Education Classes Was “Humiliating” For Her

Sukihana recently took to social media to open up about being enrolled in special education classes. The rapper and reality star told followers that being separated from most of the student body was “humiliating” and hurtful. She also claimed that instead of isolating students in special education programs, schools should opt to bring more teachers into classrooms. “It also adds to people having commitment issues, trust issues, and not being able to learn how to make friends,” she explained.

Don’t ever feel like you’re less than nobody,” Sukihana then told fans struggling with similar issues. “God made you creative, God made you special, God made you smart.” She continued, highlighting how despite being made to feel less than others, she’s managed to have a successful career. “Thousands of people are paying to come see me,” she describes.

Sukihana Says Special Education Classes Were “Hurtful” To Her

Fans were quick to share their thoughts in The Neighborhood Talk‘s comments section. Comments revealed that many others can relate to Sukihana’s plight. “How about we normalize everyone learning at their own pace and stop picking on people with [learning disabilities],” one says. Others, however, believe that some students truly need the extra support provided in specialty programs, making separation from other students necessary. “They need extra help and can be very easily distracted by their peers,” a user notes. Regardless, it’s commendable that Sukihana is using her platform to speak on important issues, and shed light on how critical it is to ensure students’ individual needs are met.

Sukihana is hot off the release of “5′ Foot (Extended Version),” an expanded take on her iconic 2017 freestyle. She also recently met up with the “Prince of PanAfricanism,” Dr. Umar. Though fans can’t be certain what the duo discussed in their meeting, the reality star previously claimed he could be “the one to turn [her] into a wife.

Chloe Bailey Covers Hit Gunna Song In New Video

Chloe Bailey’s raw vocal talent is something that has consistently impressed her fans throughout her entire career. Now, in a new video she posted to Twitter she is once again showing off her vocal chops. In the video she delivers an amazing performance of Gunna’s hit song “fukumean.” Unsurprisingly, fans in the comments were eating it up. “maybe he’ll add you to the remix ” reads one of the top comments under the post. “Oh you ate that up, we need an official remix like ASAP!” says another. The video has already racked up over 16k likes less than two hours after she originally posted it.

The cover comes just a few days after the song reached a new peak on the Hot 100. After debuting in the top 20 “fukumean” has climbed all the way up to number 4 on the chart. This week it’s the highest-charting non-country song in the entire Hot 100. It also matches Gunna’s previous high, with his Lil Baby collab “Drip Too Hard” having also reached number 4 back in 2018. The decision to cover this song in particular is also relevant to some relationship drama dating back to last year. For a short time, fans speculated on a potential romance between the two. While Chloe eventually came forward to confirm their suspicions, it was only because the relationship had already ended.

Chloe Bailey Takes On “fukumean”

Last week Chloe Bailey treated fans to the newest in a long-running series of stunning Instagram posts. This time she was seen enjoying some sun in what looked like an absolute paradise laying in a hammock and drinking from a coconut. Unsurprisingly, she had some bikini pics that left fans completely stunned.

The video also comes just a few days ahead of her sister’s debut solo single. After Chloe released her own solo album In Pieces earlier this year, Halle is up next. She announced in a tweet on Monday that her debut single “Angel” is coming later this week. What do you think of Chloe Bailey’s cover of Gunna’s “fukumean”? Let us know in the comment section below.

Dominic Fike Reflects On Passing Of “Euphoria” Co-Star Angus Cloud

Dominic Fike reflected on the loss of his Euphoria co-star, Angus Cloud, during a concert in Houston on Tuesday night. In doing so, he recalled how he found out about the 25-year-old’s tragic passing while on his way to a massage.

“I guess I lost a friend of mine recently,” Fike said on stage while strumming his guitar. “He died the other night, which is wild to say because I don’t deal with grief often. I haven’t had a lot of death happen around me, and this was the first time I feel like I knew the person well enough to cry over and feel something. It was weird.”

Fike continued: “I was on my way to get a massage, which sounds so fucking stupid, at the time, and I got this call. And it fucked me up, obviously. I still got the massage. I felt really stupid. He probably would’ve been like, ‘Yeah, go ahead,’ you know? Even this tonight, I was sitting in the green room, and it felt… You know when things just feel trivial? You feel really small, and the timeline gets sort of stretched out.”

“I sometimes look at people like sparks,” Fike went on. “I zoom out, and I think people have wavelengths. If you zoom out far enough, you see some people — probably not a lot of us at all — but I think if you zoomed out millions of miles, you would see this kid’s spark. You could see it from so far away, even if it was a short flash. He would light up a room, any room he walked in. He’s a fucking good dude. I felt stupid coming out here. Like, this is so stupid, doing a show and being happy. But he would’ve wanted me to do that. He would’ve been like, ‘No, do the show, have fun.’”

Dominic Fike Discusses Angus Cloud

Cloud’s family announced his passing in a statement on Monday. They explained that he was “intensely struggling” with the loss of his father, who he buried a week prior. Fike isn’t the only Euphoria actor to speak out on the loss of Cloud. The star of the HBO series, Zendaya, also penned a heartfelt message for the 25-year-old.
