On the final day of the festival, Leon Thomas, Chxrry22, Doechii, Ari Lennox, Partynextdoor are set to perform, with SZA as the headliner.

Snoh Aalegra’s Fans Don’t Have To ‘Wait A Little Longer’ To Hear Her Dreamy New Song

Snoh Aalegra is blessing listeners with her fittingly-titled single, “Wait A Little Longer,” following her other two recent songs. The dreamy track

“I’m not gettin’ sleep at night these days / Things don’t feel the same at my place / And I wonder if you ever felt that way / Was it a mistake, the world we’ve made?” Aalegra admits in the emotional first verse that she finds herself struggling with comfortability in a relationship.

“You know I tried / And it took a little while to see sunshine / And it doesn’t get no better at midnight / Feelings fade and I’m gettin’ closer every day,” she continues, seemingly realizing she might have to wait to find a better fit in love.

The track has been speculated to be part of Aalegra’s fourth studio album, alongside “Sweet Tea” and “Be My Summer.” It has been two years since the Iranian-Swedish singer released a full-length project.

Although not much else is known about this next record yet, fans and celebrities alike are pumped to hear more and for her return. Everyone from Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton to musicians like Stormzy and Omar Apollo have praised Aalegra’s recent songs.

Snoh Aalegra Delivers New Single “Sweet Tea”

Snoh Aalegra has released her second single in two weeks, dropping off “Sweet Tea” for fans. Speaking with Eddie Francis at Apple Music 1, Aalegra reveals the song was a collaboration with No I.D. and Greg Phillinganes.

“I wrote it prior to kind of finishing up the production and once it was completed, it just really felt really spiritual in a way,” Snoh says. It also has one of my favorite bridges I’ve ever written, and that bridge really takes me to another place in the song. I work a lot with No I.D. At the time, he was working a lot with Greg Phillinganes and he kept telling me that we should all work and we finally made it happen and I feel like they really brought the song to life. They took it to somewhere else from when I had written it and it was just really special to finish it up with them. And it was just a very special experience being in the studio with both of them… and yeah, he’s such an incredible musician and No I.D. really knew where I wanted to take this song.

“So I thought it was so perfect that we made it with Greg. I feel so much when I hear certain chords and that’s just really what this is, all these magical chords that Greg knows how to play.…so we all did it together and it always depends on how a song is made. This one in particular, I had written it prior and then we try to finish it with the music and everything. Sometimes when I work with No I.D. it’s like I’m writing to his music, to his beats, so it all comes together differently. But this one was like that, where we were just all in the room and figured it out together and just felt it all together. So it’s really special.”

Snoh Aalegra Spills The ‘Sweet Tea’ On A Special Romance With Her New Single

Iranian-Swedish R&B singer Snoh Aalegra is gearing up for her fourth studio album. Today (August 2), Aalegra has shared “Sweet Tea,” a piano-driven ballad on which she reflects on a pleasant love.

“Sweet Tea” features Aalegra looks fondly on the time spent with someone in her life, finding safety and comfort in their presence.

“You make no sense / So perfect, it makes no sense / Like that empty cup you left in my, my fridge / And that sweet tea is sweeter than you, sweeter than you / Sweeter than you / It feels like I’m dreamin’, dreamin’ / But my dreams ain’t sweetеr than you,” she sings on the song’s chorus.

The song features production by prolific producer and Aalegra’s frequent collaborator, No I.D., and features a slight chord change near the end, encompassing the warmth and whirlwind of emotions accompanied by love. “Sweet Tea” follows Aalegra’s recent single, “Be My Summer,” which was released last month.

Though Aalegra hasn’t said much about her upcoming album, it’s likely that it may arrive soon. Her debut album, Feels, came out in 2017, and was followed by Ugh, Those Feels Again in 2019. In 2021, Aalegra dropped Temporary Highs In Violet Skies, continuing this biannual album release pattern. If this continues, we might be able to look forward to hearing Aalegra’s fourth album before the end of the year.

Snoh Aalegra’s Euphoric ‘Be My Summer’ Craves An Issue-Free Love

There’s still time for this to be the summer of Snoh Aalegra, whose last album was 2021’s Temporary Highs In The Violet Skies. She supported it with a subsequent headlining tour across North America in early 2022 but has largely kept quiet.

Aalegra awakened her fans on July 19, posting a cinematic teaser video for “Be My Summer” on Instagram. Someone in the comments correctly assessed, “It’s giving 90s rnb and I’m READY.” Formula 1 legend Lewis Hamilton left a heart and praising hand emojis, and Omar Apollo and Stormzy also couldn’t contain their excitement.

The slow-burning single arrived in all its glory on Friday, July 21, with an accompanying lyric video and visualizer that presumably sets the initial aesthetic for a forthcoming project.

“Be my summer / Protect me from the rain,” Aalegra sings. The first verse finds her coming to terms with how far she’s fallen (“I tried to run away / There’s no escape, you’ve taken tenure in my heart”). By the second verse, Aalegra is feeling abandoned but won’t be discouraged by “all these walls that you’ve built” because “I know you’ve tried but you couldn’t forget me.”

“Be My Summer” is Aalegra’s first drop since “Do 4 Love” in late 2021.

Snoh Aalegra Wants You To ‘Be My Summer’ On Her Upcoming Single

Well, it looks like a new Snoh Aalegra album could be on the horizon. The singer’s last release came in 2021 with Temporary Highs In The Violet Skies which landed as a 14-track project with help from The Neptunes, Tyler The Creator, James Fauntleroy, and more. That album was followed by the Temporary Highs In The Violet Skies Tour which featured two months of performances across North America. Since then, Snoh has been fairly quiet on the music front, as she tends to be in between releases, but now it’s time for her to return to the spotlight.

On June 19, Snoh announced that her new single “Be My Summer” will be released on Friday, June 21. She shared the news with a preview of the track’s presumed music video that captured her amongst trees and under the sun in a delicate white dress. It seems likely that this song could be the lead single from her upcoming fourth album.

The upcoming single is Snoh’s first release since “Do 4 Love,” a record she released months after dropping Temporary Highs In The Violet Skies. The track was later remixed by South African DJ Black Coffee. The upcoming single is also Snoh’s first release since she was nominated for Best R&B Album at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards.
