Teyana Taylor Breaks Down In Tears During AfroPunk Set

Teyana Taylor was spotted trying to hold back tears during a recent performance. During her set at Afropunk Brooklyn, the multi-hyphenate was overcome with emotion. Teyana was tapped as a guest headliner after Jazmine Sullivan dropped out to mourn her late mother. Despite all her success, the mother of two had doubts people would even want to see her perform. “I’m outside,” she said on stage while fighting back tears. “I always get scared to headline festivals because I never think anybody will stay for me. I just wanna thank y’all so much for staying out in this hot-ass weather for me.

She continued: “I wanna dedicate this song to y’all. If you came here with somebody you love even if you don’t know them just please look at your neighbor and give them a hug. Let’s just take this Black love in. We look so beautiful tonight.” Throughout the rest of her set, the singer performed a medley of her hits, including tracks from her past projects — like The Album and K.T.S.E.

Teyana Taylor’s Second Chapter

Despite her recent performance, Teyana Taylor has all but stepped away from music. As of late, she’s been focusing on artist development. She’s worked with the likes of Diddy, Latto, Summer Walker, and now Lil Baby. Teyana has reportedly signed on as creative director and co-producer on Lil Baby’s upcoming It’s Only Us tour. She took to social media to share the announcement with fans.

“He say ‘ITS ONLY US’ I say ‘IT’S ONLY UP’ from here! So let’s turn shit up a notch! Go time @lilbaby. Thank you @lilbaby & @qcmceo_p for trusting @theauntiesinc to creative direct & co-produce The #IOU tour! This one will be one for the books fasho!! 50 Cent’s Lawyer Speaks Out After Mic-Throwing Incident

50 Cent has been making headlines recently, after his onstage outburst left Power 106 host Bryhana Monegain injured. The rapper had been performing in LA on his “Final Lap” tour, when some technical difficulties got in the way of the show. He was given various microphones that weren’t working properly, and eventually, he had enough. He threw two different microphones into the audience out of frustration, and one of them hit Monegain right in the head.

Monegain posted photos of her injuries on social media following the incident, unveiling a large, bloody gash on her forehead. It was later revealed that she had filed a police report about the incident, and that the rapper is now a suspect in a criminal felony battery case. In her police report, Monegain claimed that she believed 50 Cent looked right at her just before throwing the microphone, alleging that she was his intended target. Fif’s attorney, Scott Leemon, recently shared a statement with Page Six about the incident, denying her claims.

“Let’s be very clear,” he began. “As I told LAPD this afternoon, my client Curtis would never intentionally strike anyone with a microphone.” Leemon continued, “Anyone saying something different doesn’t have all the facts and is misinformed.” So, according to 50 Cent’s lawyer, the entire thing was an accident. With that being said, he could still be facing legal repercussions.

The Game took the opportunity to clown 50 Cent for the incident, sharing the clip on his Instagram Story. “Curtis, yo fat a*s came to LA hittin women,” the rapper wrote. Fif’s LA show did have some good moments, despite the scandal, as Nas joined him onstage for a couple of songs. He also gave the performer his flowers, telling the crowd “when this man dropped, the whole rap game changed.” Keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on 50 Cent.

Method Man Wants To Join The Marvel Cinematic Universe

Method Man is ready to take his acting career to the next level. In a new interview with CASSIUS, the Wu-Tang rapper spoke about his desire to enter the MCU. In recent years, Method Man has seemingly pivoted away from music and focused on acting. The rapper has been talks to play X-Men character Bishop in an upcoming film. Lupin‘s Omar Sy previously portrayed the role. “I was just putting it out there to see if I could hook something,” he told the publication.

“Those guys at the MCU, they know their stuff. I haven’t had any problems with any of their casting choice so far. So whoever gets the job.”He continued: “I think Omar Sy did an excellent job as Bishop, but that was before MCU. If they chose him again, I think he’d kill it.” Meth added, “There’s a few people out there. But if they’re willing to give me a shot, I’d go for it. Plus, I’ve done all the research already.”

An avid comic book collector, the rapper also opened up about how X-Men has a significant impact on his moral compass. “The code of Bushido, honor,” he began. “As I got older I seen that—I didn’t understand it then, but I understand it now—but it was an internal fight for him always questioning whether he was more man or animal and how much he would give into his base instinct, violence. So yeah, a lot of that now I take in stride. It was a template for my way of life so to speak.”

Meth also spoke about how he’s been able to stay relevant over the years. He noted the dangers of letting one’s ego get out of control. “…There’s nothing like getting an ego-stroked man, but it becomes very addictive and when [it] isn’t up to par with your standards, you tend to slide into seclusion to the point where you become a recluse. When you start valuing other people’s opinion of you more than your own opinion of yourself, that’s when you have a problem.”

Drake’s Rumored ‘For All The Dogs’ Track Has A Line About Young Thug Incarceration That Disappointed Fans

We know very little about Drake‘s upcoming album, For All The Dogs. While we have a title and an adorable cover art drawn by his five-year-old son, Adonis, we don’t have any idea of a release date, or a tracklist.

While rumored release dates have come and gone, Drake continues to tease For All The Dogs, noting that he’s still putting finishing touches on the album. However, a leaked snippet has made its way onto the internet.

Though the snippet has since been removed, fans quickly caught onto a line, on which Drake raps, “I should probably be in there with Thug and them.”

This likely alludes to Young Thug, who has been jailed for the past year, amid trials for RICO charges, along with several other members of the Young Stoner Life imprint. Many fans took to Twitter to express disappointment in the line, implying that Drake is attempting to put on a more tough image.

“Drake u are canadian,” said one Twitter user. “U are not about that hood life. Never was never will be.”

“Drake would lose his mind in there,” said another Twitter user, “idk what tf is wrong with him”

Drake has not commented on the matter, nor is it confirmed if this particular song will be on For All The Dogs.

Young Thug is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Vince Staples Jokes All Men Should Spend A Week In Jail

Vince Staples has always been know for his eccentric point of view and zany antics. Recently, the rapper jokingly suggested that men would benefit from spending a week in jail. During an episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, Vince joined the crew to talk film, the music industry, and more. However, it was one moment in particular that caught fan’s attention. Vince claimed that if men spent a week in confinement, it might humble them.

“I also think we need a week in jail, just as men in general,” he began. “Like when you got to have a n*gga tell you, ‘hey, don’t stand up and piss in here,’ you learn boundaries and respect. Cuz you don’t know what he in there for or what he gone do to you.” He continued: “You learn, ‘aye man, it’s not always about me.’” Joe and his co-hosts could barely contain their laughter after Vince’s s

Throughout the rest of the interview, he also discussed the decline in festival performances. In Vince’s opinion, how an artist performs has a significant impact. He noted it helps when the artist has a strong fanbase. “It depends on how you perform,” he said. “If your show is catered to a larger audience, it can work out.” He continued: “You can get on the festival stage and embarrass yourself. And if that happen, then it’s quiet… Are you making a show to entertain people or are you making a show to boost your ego?”

He added, “You have to create a show that’s for people that are passing by,” he said. “I learned a lot about that from Chance. We were on the Mac Miller tour a long time ago. The way he incorporated dancing, Lauryn Hill, and intertwining things that didn’t have much to do with him but the fans understood it and he made sure he was entertaining, by the time he got to the bigger stages he was a proven performer.”
