Saweetie Drops Two New Singles: “BIRTHDAY” Feat. YG & Tyga and “SHOT O’ CLOCK”

Saweetie Drops Two New Singles: "BIRTHDAY" Feat. YG & Tyga and "SHOT O' CLOCK"

Saweetie has unleashed two new singles destined to dominate music and pop culture. Collaborating with rap luminaries YG and Tyga, she sets the club scene on fire with the club-ready anthem “Birthday,” exuding confidence and suggestive charm in her signature style. The accompanying music video captures the trio in full party mode, and Saweetie commands the spotlight with her eye-candy allure and unapologetic attitude, truly embodying the role of a Goddess.

But the celebration doesn’t end there. Saweetie flips Suzanne Vega’s iconic “Tom’s Diner” in her follow-up track, “Shot O’Clock.” This upbeat nightclub anthem perfectly captures the energy of endless nights of partying with friends. Saweetie’s bold delivery and tell-it-like-it-is lyricism continue to captivate, showcasing her versatile talent as she effortlessly switches between punchy rap bars and catchy hooks.

These two singles are a glimpse of what’s to come from her highly anticipated debut album. With “Birthday” and “Shot O’ Clock,” Saweetie raises the bar, delivering bangers that will undoubtedly become party favorites for years to come, solidifying her status as a hip-hop heavyweight.

Love is in the air! Just a few days after YG and Saweetie were seen boo’ed up for date night in Los Angeles, it looks like the lovebirds have been keeping this exciting news in the vault. Today, YG, Saweetie, and Tyga announce their STR8 TO THE KLUB Tour, a true West Coast lineup if there ever was one.

The trio is slated to perform 14 arena shows in 13 North American cities, kicking things off on September 21st at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento and concluding at the KIA Forum in Los Angeles on November 22nd. This serves as YG’s second headlining tour this year, on the heels of his Red Cup Tour. This will be Tyga and Saweetie’s first headlining tour this year.

This isn’t the first time YG and Saweetie showed PDA, previously sighted cuddling up backstage at Rolling Loud Los Angeles. Additionally, the two were seen on baecation in Cabo at the end of May, with photos of them kissing and snuggled by the cool. The two collaborated on Mozzy’s “In My Face” record just last year, alongside 2 Chainz.

Tickets for the STR8 TO THE KLUB TOUR go on sale this Friday, July 21st, at 10am local time. Visit www.str8totheklub.com.

Vic Mensa Teams with Ty Dolla $ign for New Single “Eastside Girl”

unnamed (2)

Vic Mensa has just dropped his third major song of the year, titled “Eastside Girl,” under Roc Nation. Teaming up with fellow Grammy-nominated artist Ty Dolla $ign, the duo delivers a house-influenced anthem that harks back to Vic’s enduring love for the genre, which first manifested in his beloved 2014 single “Down On My Luck.”

Accompanying the single is a captivating music video directed by Danielle Alston and creatively overseen by Vic himself. In a playful and humorous twist, Vic portrays a pool hustler trying to charm a group of girls, but fate has a different plan for him. Shot in a pool hall on Chicago’s far west side, the video pays homage to “The Color of Money” and was inspired by a real-life game of pool played by Ty and Vic in Ty’s studio.

“Ty is one of my favorite musicians and people to collaborate with,” Vic said of the collaboration. “I pulled up to his studio to give him some of my weed brand 93BOYZ and he was working on a bunch of House music. I’ve been wanting to return to House ever since I made ‘Down On My Luck’ so it just made a lot of sense. Ty had played the guitar line already and it was giving me a surf-rock vibe so I started going a California direction with the lyrics then I programmed some House drums and samples. We were really just smoking and vibing and Eastside Girl is what came out.”

Adding more allure to the release, the single’s cover art features international supermodel and jewelry designer Adesuwa, with whom Vic has collaborated for his upcoming album since their meeting in Accra in 2021. Adesuwa sports a unique grill designed by Alligator Jesus, and the fans had the final say in selecting the cover art through a poll on Vic’s Instagram.

With “Eastside Girl,” Vic Mensa once again proves his creative prowess, fusing captivating music with visually stunning artistry to captivate his audience and solidify his place in the music industry.

Cardi B Denied The Rumor That Her Drama With Offset Was A Stunt To Promote Their New Song ‘Jealousy’

Offset and Cardi B‘s collaborative song “Jealousy” is out now after lots of drama. Fans assumed Offset accused Cardi of cheating back in June when he wrote on his Instagram Story, “My wife f*cked a N**** on me gang yall n****s know how I come.” Cardi denied it on a Twitter Space: “First of all, let me say… first of all, let me say, you can’t accuse me of all the things you know that you are guilty of.”

On social media, fans are contemplating the truth about the tiff in light of the new song. A fan commented on Instagram, “We said it was a stunt they pulled with their relationship and that’s exactly what is was. Lmfaoo.” Cardi replied by saying, “Tasha K made some ish up and yall was laughing about it and happy ass hell about it. Now that we putting it in the music is a stunt … Naaa baby be mad at the one who started trolling wit it.”

Gucci Mane Turned A Meme Into Reality With ‘Woppenheimer’ And Even Used The Perfect Fan-Made Cover Art

Last week, graphic designer @kyaxcheeks made a very funny meme. On July 21 (the day Oppenheimer and Barbie made their theatrical debuts in the US), she tweeted, “If it was ’09, I know @gucci1017 would’ve dropped the tape today. #Oppenheimer.” The tweet included fake cover art for a Gucci Mane single called “Woppenheimer,” a song that had not been publicly announced at the time. The meme got a lot of attention, including from Gucci himself: Today (July 28), the rapper actually shared a new song called “Woppenheimer” and even used @kyaxcheeks’ mock-up as the single’s cover art.

The final art only had minor tweaks from @kyaxcheeks’ original, like with colors and font choices. The designer revealed she had a positive experience working with Gucci and his team, tweeting, “Shoutout to gucci and his team for taking a chance on me. They have been super dope to me and I’m very appreciative!”

On the track, Gucci reflects on his journey and gives some shout-outs to special people in his life: “Shout out to my wife, she had a daughter and a son for me / Shout out to my brother, down bad, he made that bond for me.”

Gucci also dropped a video for the song today, so check it out above.

Saweetie, Tyga, And YG Celebrated The Icy Girl’s ‘Birthday’ In A Blowout Video Extravaganza Leading From The Club To The Crib

Birthdays are a glorious occasion, but no one celebrates the anniversary of their birth quite like Saweetie. This year, the rapper headed to Las Vegas to enjoy Usher’s My Way residency up close and personal but avoiding Kekegate. However, the Icy Girl’s festivities are far from over. On her new single, “Birthday,” the musician teamed up with upcoming tour mates Tyga and YG for one more blowout extravaganza.

Saweetie can have her cake or, apparently, be one too. In the visual, the musician dripped with jewels embodied the purpose of a birthday candle. Not only is she every guy’s wish (but only her rumored boo YG can have), but Saweetie is a bright flame you can’t take your eyes off. On her special day, the musician is a spoiled brat and doesn’t mind showing it, as she rapped, “It’s my birthday b*tch these my birthday rules / I aint spendin nothing all the drinks on you / I hope that aint your n**** cause he tryna get loose / See me coming through and a b*tch better move.”

For the month of July, it’s Saweetie’s world, and we’re just living in it.

Offset Teams with Cardi B for "Jealousy," the First Single of His Forthcoming Album

Offset is taking it to a new level, dropping off the single for “Jealousy” featuring Cardi B. The video opens with Jamie Lee Curtis narrating the drama. The two directly address the issues between the two in the bars. In the visual, Offset evokes Jodi from Baby Boy, leaving the crib and hopping on his bike to ride through the streets of LA.

Keeping it to the Baby Boy theme, Cardi B calls her homegirl to complain, who happened to be the original Yvette, Taraji P. Henson.

After an impressive opening run from Offset, including a beat transition that forces a head nod, Cardi B tags in for a float of her own, adding on to her impressive run of features through 2023.
