Boosie Badazz & Redman Discuss Pusha T & Jim Jones’ Feud

Boosie Badazz, Redman, and Erick Sermon all weighed in on the ongoing feud between Pusha T and Jim Jones on the red carpet at the 2023 BET Awards. Speaking with HipHopDX, the two gave their reactions to the recent battle between both rappers.

When Boosie was asked about Jones’ diss track, he replied: “No, I didn’t hear it, but I heard he didn’t like the verse right?… I don’t know [who would win]. That [battle] would be a good one though.” Redman added: “I heard some of Pusha T’s joint, but I ain’t hear Jim yet – but I know when Jim puts his mind to it, he goes in.”

“It wasn’t bad,” Sermon said of Jim’s diss record. “I was shocked though too because again, Jim came up late. As far as the lyrics and him spitting the rhyme, it was dope. [But] Pusha T is a real lyricist, for real.”

The battle between Jim Jones and Pusha T began back in April when Jones argued that Billboard shouldn’t have included Pusha on its “Top 50 Greatest Rappers” list. The comment stuck with Pusha, who responded by dissing Jones in a new Clipse track debuted at Pharrell’s first Louis Vuitton show, last week. Jones eventually dropped a diss track aimed at Pusha in response.

Boosie and Redman aren’t the only ones to weigh in on the Pusha T-Jim Jones battle. Charlamagne recently said that Jones’ diss wasn’t enough to beat Pusha T. “I don’t think that’s enough,” he said. “I think if you shoot at Pusha, you just gotta go ahead and drop the nuke. You can’t just shoot. You just gotta go ahead and drop the nuke now. That’s what Pusha’s gonna do, if Pusha replies. If we’re looking at the way Pusha has replied before, Pusha gonna drop a nuke off top.”

Lil Uzi Vert & JT Embrace During “Pink Tape” Party

Lil Uzi Vert and JT made headlines at the BET Awards recently. Overall, this is due to the fact that JT threw her phone at Uzi near the end of the show. Ultimately, it was quite the scene, with many claiming that it all had to do with Ice Spice. However, since that time, the Ice Spice rumors have since been cleared up. Now, many are wondering where Uzi and JT will go from here. Some claimed that the two had broken up. Although, based on the information below, it is clear that they are still together.

On Friday, Lil Uzi Vert will be dropping The Pink Tape. Fans are very excited to finally get to hear this project. So far, we have only gotten one single in the form of “Just Wanna Rock.” That said, there are supposed to be 26 tracks on this album, which means a ton of fresh new songs are on the horizon. Additionally, to celebrate the album, Uzi held a “Pink Tape” prom on Tuesday night. In the clips below, you can see that JT was actually in attendance.

LeBron James Reacts To ESPN’s Mock Draft For Bronny

The question of where Bronny James will land in the 2024 NBA Draft is one that has quickly dominated basketball circles in recent days. Bronny, LeBron’s eldest son, is about to start his freshman year at USC. Many expect him to follow the one-and-done path into the NBA.

However, not everyone has been a fan. Kenny Smith pulled out statistics to argue that Bronny may never make it to the NBA. However, while Smith’s correct purely from a numbers standpoint, it’s hard to see Bronny James going completely undrafted given his last name.

For the time being, mock drafts have him hovering around the tail-end of the lottery. SB Nation has him going at #12. Meanwhile, ESPN, whose mock draft includes specific teams, had him going at #17 to the Hawks. It was this landing spot that caught the eye of LeBron himself.

LeBron shared ESPN‘s image to his Instagram story, adding the caption “Welllll ATL shawty the #JamesGang will be pulling up!” Safe to say that James wasn’t opposed to his son heading to Atlanta. The Hawks picking at #17 is based on ESPN‘s internal predictions for the draft order.

However, could that force a trade between the Hawks and Lakers? LeBron has been very clear that he would like to play with Bronny before he retires from the NBA. Furthermore, the Lakers may not have a first-round pick in 2024, as the Pelicans currently hold the option to take the Lakers 2024 or 2025 first-rounder.

LeBron currently has two years remaining on his contract. However, that does include a player option year for 2024-25. As Bronny is likely to land somewhere other than the Lakers come the draft, could we see LeBron push for an opt-in and trade deal?

Bronny To Wear #6 At USC

In other father-son news amongst the James family, Bronny will be honoring his father at USC. On June 22, USC announced that Bronny would wear #6 while playing for the school. While Bronny has long worn the number, it has also been a tribute to his father.

LeBron most famously wore #6 during his time in Miami, forgoing the #23 he had worn during the start of his career in Cleveland. Per LeBron, the #6 has also held special meaning to him, as it links in some way to the birthdays of both Bronny and Bryce. Furthermore, LeBron wore #6 for the Lakers during the 2022-23 season.

However, if Bronny is drafted, he will have to find a new number. Perhaps the most famous player other than LeBron to wear #6 was the legendary Bill Russell. when Russell passed away in 2022, the league made the decision to issue a league-wide retirement for the number.

An Instagram account called @problematicfame is showcasing how Kim recently edited a photo of herself. In the photo, she is wearing one of Pharrell’s new Louis Vuitton pieces. The Getty Image looks one way, however, Kim’s version is edited to make her stomach, chin, jaw, and numerous other body parts look slimmer. Subsequently, fans took to the comments section to express their concern and disapproval for all of the changes. “Imagine spending all that money in surgeries, all that dieting and time in the gym, and STILL not being happy with yourself,” one person wrote.

Kid Cudi Canceled His Moon Man’s Landing Festival Just Two Weeks After Announcing It

Exactly two weeks ago, on June 14, Kid Cudi announced his Moon Man’s Landing festival would be going down on August 19 in Cleveland. The lineup was set to featured an intimate lineup led by Lil Uzi Vert, Suicideboys, Coi Leray, and himself. Now, though, Cudi has had to U-turn on that, as he revealed last night (June 27) that this year’s festival will not be happening.

In a statement shared on Twitter, Cudi explained that he was unable to get approval for the outdoor event from the city, and that an indoor event wasn’t desirable. He wrote:

“Hey guys,

Got some bad news Im gonna have to cancel Moon Man’s Landing this year. I know u guys wanted an outdoor festival, and so did I, but the city wouldnt approve it. And instead of cancelling the whole thing I decided to have it at the arena because I still wanted to bring something cool to the city, but I know u guys werent feelin it. Dont even trip!! Heres the good news. Im bringing the fest back next year, hopefully w some of the same line up and it will be in an outdoor venue. Only thing is, it might have to be over an hour outside of Cleveland. I saw some people say they dont mind the drive if I did make it outside of the city, so let me know ur feedback yall! I doubt the city will approve anything in the city, but Moon Man’s Landing is not dead! And we will find a better place for u all to have an epic time at. Promise. Big bro got u.

Kid Cudi Cancels Moon Man’s Landing Festival Weeks After Its Announcement

Kid Cudi won’t be hosting his inaugural Moon Man’s Landing Festival this year, unfortunately. The Cleveland-born rapper announced that he would be hosting his first-ever festival in his hometown. However, he’s faced a few setbacks in his attempt to set up shop. The rapper shared a statement on Twitter where he sadly informed fans of the news. “Got some bad news Im gonna have to cancel Moon Man’s Landing this year. I know u guys wanted an outdoor festival, and so did I, but the city wouldnt approve it,” he explained.

The “Porsche Topless” rapper then said that his attempt to host the Moon Man’s Landing Festival at an arena was met with further pushback from his fanbase. So, instead of trying to rush to host an event that would’ve likely crumbled due to rushed planning, Kid Cudi said that the festival will return next year. “And instead of cancelling the whole thing I decided to have it at the arena because I still wanted to bring something cool to the city, but I know u guys werent feelin it. Dont even trip!! Heres the good news. Im bringing the fest back next year, hopefully w some of the same line up and it will be in an outdoor venue,” he added.

Kid Cudi Postpones Festival Until 2023

Although the City of Cleveland wouldn’t approve of the festival and fans were reluctant to attend a festival at an arena, Kid Cudi remains optimistic. He explained that he’ll likely have to host the Moon Man’s Landing festival an hour outside of Cleveland. “I doubt the city will approve anything in the city, but Moon Man’s Landing is not dead! And we will find a better place for u all to have an epic time at,” he said.

Besides the upcoming festival, Kid Cudi is currently working on his forthcoming album, Insano. He hasn’t provided much information regarding the tracklist or the release date. Nonetheless, he feels that the project will be “the album of the year,” as he told fans on Instagram Live in March. Most recently, he backtracked on statements made to Zane Lowe about the project being his final opus before retiring. SZA Calls Out Unfaithful Ex-Boyfriend At London Concert

“This particular song in entirety is a story about my ex-fiancé and how we went through all these arguments, and we broke up,” she explained a the time. “And when we first broke up it was like terrible, and I just felt like I was gonna be doomed to be in hell for the rest of my life because nobody understood me the way he did […] The stories that I tell in that song about our arguments… That’s the theme on that. I feel like a lot of people don’t understand me but it’s okay.”
