XXXTENTACION Trial: Judge Ethers Defense Attorney Trying To Involve 600Breezy To Link Case To Drake

The judge in the XXXTENTACION murder case recently shut down defense attorney Mauricio Padilla for trying to involve 600Breezy. Moreover, his efforts were made to connect Drake to the murder of the Florida rapper. While the judge already ruled that the Canadian artist did not have to sit for a deposition in the trial, Padilla continued fighting. Furthermore, he represents defendant Dedrick Williams and alleged that Breezy flew to Florida on Drake’s orders to find X. Throughout the last few weeks of the trial, defense lawyers hammered on the 6 God being the main instigator, not their clients.

“Antonio King, 600Breezy, did in fact fly to South Florida,” Padilla claimed. “[He] did in fact post video of himself threatening to be armed and threatening the deceased prior to his death.” Before he could go on, the judge interrupted him. “No. Counsel, then subpoena 600Breezy. What does that have to do with someone else who you have no evidence of being involved other than hearsay and innuendo? You are now trying to just drag somebody in who’s a celebrity, who does not want to be associated with this. And to harm that individual is not inconsequential,” the judge remarked.

“I’ll tell you why,” Padilla retorted. “Because that person Antonio King- they further posted that the reason they came down there was for Drake. So I’m not making this up, this is out there. But I’m not being allowed to investigate. All I want to do is take this deposition.” However, the judge wasn’t having it. “You’ve had this case since 2018,” he concluded with his hands up. “Go talk to Breezy.” In fact, the rapper responded with laughing emojis in DJ Akademiks’ Instagram post of the exchange.

Meanwhile, other recent news from the trial involves a detective’s testimony, who investigated the murder. Moreover, he stated that defendant Dedrick Williams has, on multiple occasions, changed his side of the story. Also, he expressed that he heard no mention of Drake, the Migos, or any other rappers who are speculated to have hired him. Even though the case is still underway, at least this element of it seems to be dying down quickly. Regardless, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest updates on the XXXTENTACION murder trial.

Kim Kardashian Clowns Kendall Jenner’s Photoshop Fail In New Bikini Photos

As one of the most well-known families on the planet, every member of the Kardashian-Jenner family has eagle eyes on them at all times. Whether its internet sleuths obsessively checking their Instagram following, or the actual cameras following them around for their reality series, there’s little that the world doesn’t know about the celebrity crew. Of course, this also means that each and every one of their selfies are criticized under a microscope.

Over the years, every sister has been called out at one point or another for sloppily altering their photos. Recently it was Kendall Jenner who was feeling the heat. Social media users called her out for seemingly making her hand longer in a swimsuit snapshot shared earlier this month. She, and her friends, have denied the allegations. Still, Kim Kardashian couldn’t help but poke fun at the discourse with a post of her own on Friday (February 24).

Kim K Clowns Kendall While Thirst Trapping

In a series of pictures that see her walking through immaculately raked sand in a tiny beige bikini, Kardashian chiefly caught the internet’s attention. Many are focusing on her perfectly toned figure that’s shown off in various thirst traps. Others, however, are praising her for her hilarious caption. “Long handed @kendalljenner on the lens,” the mother of four wrote, teasing Jenner over the photoshop accusations.

As Page Six notes, Hailey Bieber did her part to shut down the gossip about her BFFs body. “[She] been had long ass hands [and] fingers,” the model wrote of her reality star contemporary. Even with her testimony, many are keeping a close eye on Jenner’s feed for signs of image altering.

Aside from the commentary on her extra-long hands, Jenner has also been in the news thanks to her love life. Though nothing has been officially confirmed DeuxMoi claims that she and Bad Bunny were reportedly smooching during a night of partying. “Playing tonsil hockey,” specifically, is how the blog described the interaction. This certainly hints that things may be hot and heavy between the Latin rapper and the 818 tequila founder.

We have yet to see them out together, but not long after the story broke, they were seen dining at the same restaurant. The pair are said to have left through separate exits, preventing the paparazzi from taking photographs of them. As rumours of a new romance continue to swirl, the California native’s ex, Devin Booker, recently unfollowed her on Instagram. Make sure to check back later for any updates on the situation and more pop culture news.

Russell Simmons Told Tommy Hilfiger Rappers Wore His Brand “To Look Rich”

There was a time in Hip Hop history when you couldn’t go anywhere without seeing Tommy Hilfiger. The red, white, and blue striped design was worn by the who’s who of entertainment, from film and television stars to sports icons to Hip Hop and R&B’s elite. For those who lived through that Golden Era of the culture, they will recall when Aaliyah was one of the most famous faces of the brand. In a recent interview, Hilfiger discussed Russell Simmons explaining to him why his brand was so popular in Hip Hop.

“It was so powerful, like an infusion or some sort of a drip,” said Hilfiger, 71. “I was so profoundly inspired by Warhol. I started to look at things like the Rolling Stones tongue, the Nike swoosh, the Mercedes-Benz star, the Chanel Cs and the Gucci Gs [and] I knew I needed my own logo.” In the 1990s, Hilfiger became one of—if not the most—successful brands from the U.S. According to the Irish Times, these days, the brand makes more money outside of America.

Russell Simmons Enlightens Hilfiger

Hilfiger admitted that products flew off the shelves after Aaliyah posed for a Tommy Jeans ad. “The clothes were very inspired by yachting, prep schools, Ivy League, and New England,” said the designer. “Where more aristocratic privileged Americans lived and summered in Cape Cod, Nantucket and the Hamptons. It was actually Russell Simmons, who really is one of the godfathers of Hip Hop, who said to me that young street kids and rappers wanted to wear the clothes because they wanted to look rich.”

He did what any good businessman would, and he catered to his new audience. Hilfiger said he focused on street styles because Hip Hop “love sports and wanted to be sporting.” He added, “So then I started doing big logos. But they wanted everything way, way oversized, because they were buying sizes that were way too large. And so I started just making oversized, and it was a perfect storm. I was dressing Puff Daddy for his tours, I was dressing Biggie Smalls, I was dressing Tupac.”

The Fake News Scandal That Changed Tommy Hilfiger

These days, fact-checking fake news comes with a click of a button. However, in 1997, things were a bit different when it came to sharing lies about public figures. At the time, a story circulated that Hilfiger visited Oprah Winfrey’s talk show and disparaged marginalized people. He was accused of saying if he knew minority groups would love his clothing, he wouldn’t have made them so nice. It was also alleged he stated he didn’t want anyone but upper-class white people to purchase his clothing.

However, it was all a lie. The conversation and appearance never happened, but Hilfiger’s name was permanently scarred. “It was when the internet was just starting,” Hilfiger recalled. “It was devastating that people would think that I would really think that way. And I think people who know me knew that it wasn’t true. But there are so many millions of people out there who didn’t know me but had heard. You didn’t have social media then – these days, if something blows up on [the fashion watchdog] Diet Prada, there are so many comments. It couldn’t happen now.”

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie Taps Mariah The Scientist For “Secrets” Remix

New music is coming in hot on this good Friday. The latest release comes from Highbridge’s own A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, who teams up with Mariah The Scientist for the remix to his throwback “Secrets.” The track comes to the surprise of some, seeing he’s released not one, but two projects since the original was featured on 2020’s Artist 2.0’s deluxe version. Not for TikTok users, however, as they are responsible for it’s resurgence. According to stats on the ever-popular clock app, the song has been used over 24,000 times as of writing.

The Bronx rapper has even gone on to upload a live performance of the track a couple of days ago. One commenter wrote “So glad that this song is finally getting the love it deserves. Nonetheless, it’s safe to say the new version does not disappoint. On the “Secrets” remix, A Boogie recites the same verse chorus as its predecessor, boasting about his success and the groupies that come with it. The first track didn’t have a second verse, which is where Mariah The Scientist comes in. Young Thug’s rumored boo slides in after the second chorus with some salacious bars of her own.

TikTok Users May Be To Thank For The A Boogie With The Hoodie Remix

The “Bout Mine” vocalist makes the rules clear to her fling on the “Secrets” remake. She implies she’s ready to get down and dirty, but he must keep his mouth closed. Mariah The Scientist sings “Meet me in the back, take me through the alley / Know you want a bad girl, know you want a savage / Know that I can be that, you can’t believe that /You could be a blind man, even you could see that.” Some A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie fans aren’t fond of the R&B singer’s addition, but she seems to be taking it with grace. Mariah The Scientist—who is no stranger to backlash—has shown support for the song throughout the day on her Instagram Stories.

Quotable Lyrics

Baby, from my observations
You think I’m your lady, all of those expectations
But that just ain’t the way it goes
And I just want you out them clothes tonight
I promise to take it slow
You can even take control this time
If you can keep your mouth closed

Jim Jones & Hitmaka Lock In With Stefflon Don On “I Am”

Jim Jones and Hitmaka are gearing up for their highly anticipated project, Back In My Prime. Jones began teasing the project as early as 2021 when he revealed that he had nearly a dozen projects in the cut. At the time, he intended to drop each project month after month and flood the rap game with quality music. However, things wound up changing but we still received an influx of music, from projects like We Set The Trends to his recent Christmas project featuring many of his artists.

With the new year, Jones and Hitmaka are finally ready to share their upcoming project with the world. It seems as though it’ll also provide Jones with an excellent opportunity to showcase his versatility with records. Though projects like Wasted Talent and El Capo reminded fans of how great of a lyricist he is, what we’ve heard from Back In My Prime showcases his ability to pen hit records. It was as evident as the BEAM-assisted, “Gunshots,” which sampled KRS-One.

Jim Jones x Hitmaka – “I Am” ft. Stefflon Don

Following the release of “Seen The Money,” which features a prominent Alicia Keys sample, Jim Jones is back at it with his latest record “I AM.” This time, he connects with Stefflon Don for a crossover hit. Stefflon’s harmonies grace the hook while Jones comes through with a record for the ladies. The song boasts production from Hitmaka, Boogz, and Cardiak for a breezy anthem that undoubtedly has us excited for the upcoming Back In My Prime album.

Jones has been quite excited for the release of his new single with Stefflon Don. During our interview with him in December, he said that he felt this could be one of records to really make a mark. “The Hitmaka project is coming at the top of the year,” he said. “It’s an incredible project fully produced by Hitmaka. I’m excited, man. I got a record with Stefflon Don that I think could be a very big record.” Check the single above.

That ass so fat in them thongs, I know you wear that to entice me
But the question is, who gon’ be there when the chips is down

HBO’s “Succession” To End After Upcoming Season 4

The fantastically dark, funny, and opulence-driven TV show that got a theme song remix from Pusha T is sadly coming to an end. Recently, series creator and show runner Jesse Armstrong revealed that the upcoming fourth season of HBO’s “Succession” will be the show’s last. Moreover, he spoke in an interview with The New Yorker about the decision, which ET confirmed with HBO. Furthermore, Armstrong spoke on discussing the idea with writers and cast members ahead of their decision. From what he revealed in this interview, it seems he wants the show to end on a high note.

“There’s a promise in the title of ‘Succession,’” the series head explained, adding that he first pitched its fourth season being its last around November or December of 2021. “I’ve never thought this could go on forever. The end has always been kind of present in my mind. From season 2, I’ve been trying to think: Is it the next one, or the one after that, or is it the one after that?” Furthermore, he asked the writing team if short seasons, a long-running and more free-flowing format, or just ending at its peak would be best. While he chose the latter option, the show runner still feels conflicted about it. In fact, he didn’t “definitively close off the possibility of that happening this season — at least until it got weird to not say ‘OK, I think this really is it.’”

“Succession” Closing Out Strong With Season 4

For what it’s worth, he also said that HBO was open to more seasons but trusted him with the decision. “So I do feel conflicted about that,” he continued. “And I feel sad, and I have the-circus-has-left-town feeling that everyone gets who works on a production that’s good, and this one particularly so. I imagine I’ll be a little bit lonely, and wandering the streets of London in a funk, and wondering, ‘What the f**k did I do?’ I’ll probably be calling you up in about six months asking if people are ready for a reboot.” “Succession” follows the Roy family, owners and descendants of a large media conglomerate, and explores themes of wealth, power, trauma, and of course family.

Meanwhile, its cast members also entrusted Armstrong with the wisdom and expertise to determine the show’s future.  “As a fan of the show, I would like to see more,” said actor Kieran Culkin when addressing rumors of season four being the final run. “I would like to see two more seasons.” However, actor Brian Cox brought Armstrong’s personal decision into the fold a bit more explicitly. “If he decides there’s more to be got out of it, then we’ll do a fifth season. I don’t think we’ll do much more than that.” The award-winning and culturally gigantic “Succession” will enter its fourth season starting Sunday, March 26th at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO.
