Bad Bunny Performs “Un Verano Sin Ti” Live For The First Time, Breaks Puerto Rican Attendance Record

Bad Bunny dropped Un Verano Sin Ti nearly three months ago, on May 6th, though it wasn’t until last night (July 29), that the Latin rapper got to perform his chart-topping project live for the first time in front of his fans.

Not only did Benito Martínez Ocasio put on an impressive three-and-half-hour long show, but he also managed to break an attendance record previously held by legendary rock group Metallica at the Puerto Rican Collesium where he took to the stage.

Management of the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum of Puerto Rico confirmed that in October of 2016, the “Master of Puppets” artists brought in 17,870 fans. Last night, Bad Bunny filled the venue with 18,749 audience members – and he still has two concerts at the same spot lined up.

Producer Alejandro Pabón revealed that crews were expecting to see ticket sales of 17K per show, resulting in a total of 51K – though if last night is any indication, their grand total is sure to exceed those projections.

On top of the crowd that the recording artist brought in, he was also generous enough to make history once again by broadcasting to 13 different locations on the island, as well as through Telemundo for those hoping to tune in from home.

In other news, it was recently revealed that Un Verano Sin Ti is on track to break some records previously set by Adele and Drake on the Billboard chart – read more about that here, and tap back in with HNHH later for more hip-hop news updates.

Biden Tests Positive For COVID Again

Just last week, on July 21, President Joe Biden announced that he had tested positive for Covid-19. In a social media video, he informed his millions of followers that he had come down with the illness, but that everything was going to be okay. “I’ve been double vaccinated, double boosted,” he stated, “Symptoms are mild… I’m doing well… Keep the faith.”

Five days later, it was reported that he tested negative. However, four days after getting rid of the sickness, Biden has caught COVID once again. An hour ago, he took to Twitter to inform the public.

“Folks, today I tested positive for COVID again,” he wrote. “This happens with a small minority of folks. I’ve got no symptoms but I am going to isolate for the safety of everyone around me,” he added. To conclude his message, he assured citizens that he is still working and will get back on the road soon.

Biden’s physician, Kevin O’Connor, stated that on the mornings of Tuesday through Friday, the president tested negative. O’Connor noted that this was due to a “Paxlovid rebound.” Paxlovid is a pill used to keep high-risk patients from needing to be hospitalized due to their illness.

According to the Washington Postphysicians have warned those using the medication that they can get infected again days after testing negative for the virus.

After the news was shared on social media, thousands of people shared their input. Some expressed optimism, sending Biden their best wishes. Others, however, scolded him for having so many vaccinations and still contracting the illness.

Cordae’s “Civil War General” Beard Stole The Show During His Lollapalooza Set

When an artist performs on stage, their goal is generally to have all ears on their music and all eyes on them – Cordae certainly achieved the second part during his set at Lollapalooza in Chicago earlier this week.

The North Carolina native returned to the event for the first time since 2019 to sing some of his biggest hits from The Lost Boy and From A Birds Eye View, though attendees and social media users were more intrigued by the bushy beard he was sporting.

As HipHopDX reports, the 24-year-old started his set with a full bushy beard that was reminiscent of Hugh Jackman’s in Wolverine. As he continued to perform, though, patches of his facial hair began falling out, eventually living him looking like someone from another century.

“Why does Cordae look like a Civil War general???” one Twitter user pondered with a not-so-flattering photo of the “Parables” artist.

It seems the rapper is at least enjoying the commentary about his fake beard, as he retweeted the funny post onto his own feed earlier today (July 30).

Over on his Instagram page, Cordae dropped off a photo dump from the festival while revealing that he’s got new music on the way soon in his caption.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard the Atlantic artist discuss his forthcoming releases. Back in June, he put his A&R on the spot while asking when he’d be able to deliver something for his fans.

“I’m trying to drop this mixtape, man, so I had to butter up my A&R and get him on a jet in the air right now,” Cordae said on his Instagram Story at the time. “I’m trying to drop music, man. What we doing?” Success Davis responded, “We coming, we coming.”
