Kendrick Lamar’s Tiffany & Co. Crown Features 8,000 Diamonds

Kendrick Lamar’s crown of thorns, which he wore during his Glastonbury set over the weekend, took Tiffany & Co. 10 months to design and features 8,000 diamonds. Alexandre Arnault, Executive VP of Product and Communication at Tiffany, described the piece’s creation process in a statement on Monday.

“Kendrick Lamar represents the artistry, risk-taking creativity, and relentless innovation that has also defined Tiffany & Co. for nearly two centuries,” Arnault said of the custom piece. “We are proud and incredibly excited to work with a visionary like Kendrick in realizing his vision for the crown.”

The crown required 1,300 hours of diamond-setting work. It features 50 thorns and was cast in 14 components at Tiffany’s New York workshop,  before finally being assembled in the northern region of Italy.

Lamar first wore the piece at the Louis Vuitton menswear show in Paris on June 23.

Lamar’s pgLang co-founder, Dave Free, explained that “The crown is a godly representation of hood philosophies told from a digestible youthful lens.”

“I wear this crown,” Lamar said on stage at Glastonbury. “They judged Christ. They judge you, they judged Christ. We gonna continue to walk in his image.”

Additionally, Lamar led the crowd in a chant of the phrase, “They judge you, they judged Christ. Godspeed for women’s rights.” The chant comes in the wake of the Supreme Court’s recent controversial decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Ceasar Emanuel Says He Was Set Up and Was Stopping a Dog Fight in Viral Video

Ceasar Emanuel Says He Was Set Up and Was Stopping a Dog Fight in Viral Video

Last week, Ceasar Emanuel was axed from VH1 after a video from a ring camera showed him abusing a dog with a chair and tossing the dog’s cage around a backyard. Emanuel would speak with TMZ, stating the video is a setup and he was trying to break up a fight between two dogs. Ceasar owns the Black Ink Tattoo shop in New York City, in addition to shops in Atlanta, Orlando, and Houston.

“I know the footage that everybody seen – it looks crazy,” Ceasar said. “Even me looking at it, it looks crazy. But it’s a moment in time I wish I could take back. I came home, my dogs is attacking each other.”

He added, “I separated the dogs. Now, one of the dogs attacked me. What I did was open the garage door, try to deescalate it. But I was nervous. I’m not gonna tell you no lie. I was nervous and I was scared. So, at the end of the day, I was trying to back the dog down. I was honestly trying to scare him. At not one time was I trying to abuse this dog. All I was trying to do was get him back in his cage.”

Ceasar stated the footage from his Ring camera is a setup.

“I don’t know how the footage got leaked,” Emanuel said. “I know that was off my Ring camera, I’ma keep it a buck with you. I feel like I’m being set up in some way because the way I’m being portrayed, that’s not my character.”

Later in the interview, Ceasar stated he has received death threats online.

TMZ notes Ceasar is being investigated by animal services and law enforcement. A representative for Fulton County Animal Services stated they have been working with South Fulton PD to investigate what occurred at Ceasar’s home. There reportedly is still time to charge him for the incident.

Last week, in response to the video leak, VH1 decided to no longer work with the New York native.

A statement from VH1 was released on social media Thursday afternoon:

We have made the decision to cut ties with Ceaser Emanuel from Black Ink Crew New York. Since next season was close to finishing production, this decision will not impact the upcoming season.

Speaking with TMZ, Ceasar’s attorney, Walter Mosley, pointed out the video is old. “There is no police involvement,” Mosley said. “It was shot at his residence in Atlanta during COVID.”

Former Black Ink Crew cast member spoke out against Ceasar online while sharing the video.

“If you can treat a dog like this, it shows how sick of a person you truly are,” she wrote. “I don’t even get into the life of this man, but this video made me so upset. Anyone who knows me, knows I LOVE animals. Especially dogs.”

She added, “Even after he beat his daughter up, @vh1 @viacom_intl & the new @blackinkcrew producers tried to protect Ceaser, even made up fake conflicting storylines about my relationship to do it! Now this, cannot be undone. I pray the people see you, @ceaserblackink , as the monster you are. Your karma has been adding up for years, but to do this to two innocent dogs!?! This is crazy. CHARGES NEED TO BE PRESSED, and CANCELLATIONS NEED TO BE MADE!”

If you like Drake’s Honestly, Nevermind or not, there is no denying The Boy. The first full Dance album from drake will debut on top of the Billboard 200.

According to Billboard, Honestly, Nevermind debuts with 204,00 album-equivalent units in the first week. The debut makes Drake the fifth act with more than 10 No. 1 albums. He trails The Beatles (19), JAY-Z (14), Bruce Springsteen (11), and Barbra Streisand (11).

Honestly, Nevermind has 250,23 million on-demand official streams with 11,000 album sales and TEA units of 2,000. The album has the fourth-largest streaming week for an album in 2022. The highest-streamed single on the album is “Jimmy Cooks,” featuring 21 Savage.

Drake’s new Dance album Honestly, Nevermind was released last weekend and has been quite polarizing. Some people love it, while the other side of the spectrum appears to be confused as to why Drake made it. Then there are some, like Drake himself, who argue those who don’t like it just don’t get it. You can find J. Cole on the support side.

Cole hit Instagram and shared a screenshot of the song “Liability” and revealed “Man. This album is phenomenal. Point blank.”

Last month, Drake and J. Cole put fans on alert as they were spotted filming a music video together. Videos leaked online showing Drizzy creating a new music video, on the set was Cole, but some fans questioned if he is just a guest.

Last year, J. Cole jacked Drake’s “Pipe Down” for a single called “Heaven’s EP,” which you can hear below.
