Dame Dash Says Tommy Hilfiger Wanted To Buy Rocawear for $450 Million

Dame Dash Launches his Streaming Service

Over the past few years, Dame Dash has gone on multiple podcasts where he has talked about his time during Roc-A-Fella. During a new interview with Revolt TV’s Assets Over Liabilities, Dash shared that at one point, clothing giant Tommy Hilfiger wanted to buy Rocawear for hundreds of millions of dollars.

Dame said that he had gotten jumped in Paris during Paris fashion week and at a fashion show, Tommy Hilfiger told him that he wanted to buy Rocawear. Dame insisted that he and Tommy talk later because he had a concussion from getting jumped. However, Tommy Hilfiger did end up making an offer for $450 million.

“We were about to sell to Tommy Hilfiger for like $450 million,” Dame said. “I had got jumped in Paris during fashion week, and I got the film I can show it to you and Tommy’s in my ear like ‘yo, I wanna buy the company…,’ I’m like ‘yo I got a concussion man it’s loud. Let’s talk later.’ But they did make the offer. So I woulda walked away with like $40 million, and when you put a company to get bought there’s due diligence that comes with it. So due diligence is lawyers that cost like a million dollars just to look through everything.”

He added that right as they were going to close the deal, Jay-Z announced he was going to launch another brand, in turn, devaluing Rocawear, and the deal was scrapped. “We go through all of that shit. Right before we close, your man makes an announcement that he’s launching another brand… so it devalued the brand and they left, because they were like ‘if Jay’s not a part of it we don’t want it.’”

Lizzo Addresses Men Who Use Her Name As An Insult, Calls Them “Ugly Dudes With No B*tches”

Lizzo

Throughout the span of her career, Lizzo has often been seen as a symbol of body positivity, as she is unapologetically confident about her body. This confidence, however, has angered many people who feel as if she should be ashamed of her weight. People have also started to use Lizzo’s name to “fat shame” women. Lizzo has apparently had enough of this and decided to address it on social media.

On Saturday, June 4, Lizzo took to Twitter where she slammed men who use her name to insult women, calling them “ugly dudes with no b*tches.”

“Dudes be ugly w no bitches talking bout “oK LiZzO” as an insult in girls comments,” she wrote. “I’m beautiful rich & get immaculate dick… ISSA COMPLIMENT. If u can’t make it past the cheeks, just say that.”

In the past, Lizzo has addressed fat shaming, but in a different way. In August of last year, Lizzo took to social media where she broke down in tears after reading the comments surrounding her song “Rumors” featuring Cardi B. She labeled the comments fat phobic and racist.

“Sometimes I feel like the world just don’t love me back. It’s like it doesn’t matter how much positive energy you put into the world, you’re still going to have people who have something mean to say about you. And for the most part it doesn’t hurt my feelings; I don’t care. I just think when I’m working this hard, my tolerance gets lower. My patience is lower. I’m more sensitive and it gets to me.”

She added, “People saying shit about me that just doesn’t even make sense. It’s fat-phobic, and it’s racist and it’s hurtful. If you don’t like my music, cool. If you don’t like ‘Rumors’ the song, cool. But a lot of people don’t like me because of the way I look.”

remembering kobe bryant

A game-worn Kobe Bryant jersey was recently sold at an auction for close to $3 million.

The jersey was worn by the basketball legend during the 1996-1997 NBA season and for at least 2 games during the 1997 playoffs.

The jersey was auctioned off through SCP auctions. And after 26 bids an anonymous buyer purchased the jersey for $2,735,546 million, to be exact. According to David Kohler of SCP Auctions, the jersey had been estimated to sell between $3 million and $5 million before going up for auction.

This is not the only one of Bryant’s jerseys to sell for millions of dollars. Last year, another one of Bryant’s rookie jerseys sold for millions. The jersey was another yellow, game-worn jersey but was autographed by Bryant himself. The $3.69 million price tag made it the most a basketball jersey has ever sold for.

SCP also sold a rare, signed 1997 Precious Metal Gems Kobe card which sold for over $403,000.

D.L. Hughley’s Daughter Fires Back at Mo’Nique: “You’re Clearly Two Crayons Short Of The Whole Box”

monique

You probably would have thought that the beef between D.L. Hughley and Mo’Nique would have been over by now, but every other day someone else is responding to Mo’Nique. Now, D.L. Hughley’s daughter Ryan Nicole Shepard has entered the conversation after Mo’Nique got personal in her attack of D.L.

Mo’Nique had posted a clip of an interview between D.L. Hughley and Sway Colloway where Hughley talked about how he dismissed a claim from one of his daughters when she told him she was sexually assaulted because he knew the character of the person who allegedly did it. In her caption, she wrote “When I said ‘how can DL’s wife suck the d**k of a coward’, this is what I meant.”

Ryan then took to the comments section where she wrote a lengthy response to Mo’Nique, telling the comedian that she has disrespected her mother and little sister to get back at her father and is only aiding in the “systematic and traumatic disrespect of other Black women.”

“Hi @therealmoworldwide I’m Ryan Nicole Shepard (D.L. Hughley and LaDonna Hughley’s eldest daughter). You’ve now publicly disrespected my mother—who I love and care for very much—and my baby sister—who I love and care for very much to get back at my father—who I love, respect and care for very much,” Ryan commented.

She continued, saying that her handling of the situation only proves how mentally unstable she is and how she has no respect for Black women. “Using my mama and my sister to show people my father’s character only shows how little mental stability, dignity, morality and respect you have not only for yourself but other black women. You’re clearly two crayons short of the full box sis. You’re disgusting and you absolutely need to keep every single member of MY family’s name out of your poisonous mouth.”

Ryan ended her response, telling Mo’Nique that if she would like to continue to have their conversation in private that she will “happily” give Mo’Nique the address to her home.

Mo’Nique then went on to post Ryan’s response and accepted her invitation to talk. “THANK YOU FOR THE INVITATION FOR A DISCUSSION. WE WOULD LIKE TO TAKE YOU UP ON IT. BECAUSE IT COULD BE VERY HEALING FOR OUR COMMUNITY. HAVE @realdlhughley SET UP A TIME FOR YOU, & YOUR FAMILY & MY HUSBAND & I TO COME ON HIS SHOW & WE WILL GO FROM THERE. I LOVE US 4REAL,” Mo’Nique wrote.

Lil Yachty Says Drake Wrote His “Churchill Downs” Verse In Just 11 Minutes

Lil Yachty says that Drake told him that he recorded his verse on Jack Harlow’s song “Churchill Downs” in just 11 minutes. The single is included on Harlow’s latest album, Come Home The Kids Miss You, and many of Drake’s fans believe it’s some of his best work in years.

Yachty revealed the detail during an interview with DJ Akademiks for the Off The Record Podcast. He explained that the Toronto rapper penned the entire verse right in front of Harlow while they were on a trip together “out there in the islands.”

While the song has earned plenty of praise, PETA has called out both Harlow and Drake for supporting the Kentucky Derby and asked them to pledge their profits from the song to help racehorses. In a music video for the song, the two rappers can be seen hanging out at the Kentucky Derby.

After the event, Harlow told The 85 South Comedy Show that Drake lost him money by picking the wrong horses.

“I just told Drake I would bet what he bet, so I copied him,” Harlow explained.

Regardless, he still had a good time: There’s no price tag on meeting somebody who taught you how to do it, and them saying, ‘Yo, you’re dope.’”

Come Home The Kids Miss You was released back in May with additional features from Pharrell, Justin Timberlake, and Lil Wayne. The project debuted at number three on the US Billboard 200, moving 113,000 album-equivalent units. Other singles include “First Class” and “Nail Tech.”

“Jackass Forever” Star Sean “Poopies” McInerney Kisses Python At MTV Movie & TV Awards

Jackass Forever’s Sean “Poopies” McInerney shocked viewers at the MTV Movie & TV Awards on Sunday by kissing a massive 17-foot python on stage. McInerney had won the award for Best Kiss for a scene where he had a rattlesnake kiss him while dressed as a mime.

“Wow, this [trophy’s] not light,” McInerney began his acceptance speech. “This is a dream come true. Huge thanks to MTV. This is crazy. Huge thanks to Jackass and all the boys. Jeff Tremaine, you’re the man.”

He continued: “Being a new cast member is not easy. It’s kinda weird up here accepting this award alone, but now that I’m a big-time movie star, me and the snake broke up and I found a new love, so let’s bring her out.”

At that point, the ceremony’s crew brought out the snake while members of the audience looked on in horror at the stunt.

“I’m so glad that thing did not bite me just now,” McInerney joked after pulling away from the reptile. “Thank you everyone. This one’s for the fans. Thank you MTV, thank you Jackass. Let’s go!”

Other nominees for Best Kiss included Hunter Schafer and Dominic Fike for Euphoria, Lily Collins and Lucien Laviscount for Emily in Paris, Robert Pattinson and Zoë Kravitz for The Batman, and Tom Holland and Zendaya for Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Being one of Jackass’ new members for the recent film, McInerney made a name for himself quickly behind the scenes after being bit by a shark during a botched stunt for Shark Week. Jackass Forever was released on February 4, 2022, to mostly positive reviews from critics.

A$AP Bari & Lil Uzi Vert Link Up In Studio Following Recent Alleged Dispute

A$AP Bari shared a photo of himself with Lil Uzi Vert in the studio on his Instagram Story, earlier this week, just months after the two reportedly had a heated interaction at New York City’s Lucien. According to a video of the run-in from the time, Uzi had “pulled up on” him.

While the photo doesn’t have a caption to provide context, Bari has his arms around Uzi and the two appear to be in good spirits.

Despite having their arms around each other in the new picture, the two had to be physically separated in the video from their exchange in April. It’s not clear what caused the confrontation at the time.

“Shut up, bitch,” Uzi could be heard saying in the clip.

“You wild pussy,” Bari fired back. “Eat my dick, n***a.”

Uzi hadn’t been the only person in hip hop that Bari has had beef with this year. The meet-up comes as Bari has spent recent days calling out his fellow A$AP member, Rocky, labeling the rapper “burnt out.” In additional posts, Bari called Rocky’s upcoming album “trash.” Hopefully, Bari will be able to make peace with Rocky in the same way he has with Uzi.

Amber Heard’s Sister Shares Statement Of Support: “I Will Always Be Proud Of You”

Amber Heard’s sister, Whitney Henriquez, has shared a lengthy post expressing her support after Heard’s recent defamation trial with Johnny Depp, in which Depp successfully argued that Heard had defamed her. The court awarded Depp $15 million as a result, while Heard received $2 million of her own for countersuing her ex-husband.

Captioning a photo of the hashtag, “#istandwithamberheard,” Henriquez wrote: “Yesterday, today and tomorrow I will always be proud of you for standing up for yourself, for testifying both here in Virginia and in the UK, and for being the voice of so many who can’t speak to the things that happen behind closed doors.”

“We knew that this was going to be an uphill battle and that the cards were stacked against us. But you stood up and spoke out regardless,” she continued. “I am so honored to testify for you, and I would do it a million times over because I know what I saw and because the truth is forever on your side.”

The defamation lawsuit stems from an op-ed published in the Washington Post written by Heard, in which she claimed to be a survivor of domestic abuse. Originally seeking $50 million, Depp claimed the comments hurt his career. As for her counter-suit, Heard argued that Depp’s labeling of her story as a “hoax” was libelous.

Henriquez has previously said that she “begged” her sister not to marry Depp.

As for Depp, he released a statement after the trial thanking his fans for their support and teased that a “new chapter has finally begun.”
