Atlanta Rapper Trouble Reportedly Shot and Killed While Visiting a Woman, Warrant Issued for Murder Suspect

In the early hours of Sunday morning, Atlanta rapper Trouble, born Mariel Orr, was shot and killed.

Local outlet CBS46 reports Rockdale County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Lake St. James apartments after a shooting report near 3:20 a.m. Trouble (35) was found on the ground with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital where he was killed.

Trouble was only shot once. The suspect has been identified as 33-year-old Jamichael Jones. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

“What we know and what I can tell you is that Mr. Mariel Orr was visiting a female friend at the apartment complex and Mr. Jamichael Jones did know the female and it was a domestic situation,” said Rockdale County Public Information Officer Jedidia Canty. “I know there are a lot of people that are really upset right now about the situation.”

Lil Yachty Says Drake Only Needed 11 Minutes to Write “Churchill Downs” Verse

Drake’s “Churchill Down” bars are already up there in the conversation for the verse of the year. His lengthy float stole the show on Jack Harlow’s Come Home The Kids Miss You album, and there is an interesting fact about it.

Appearing on DJ Akademiks’ Off The Record podcast, Lil Yachty said he learned that Drake wrote that entire verse in just 11 minutes while on vacation with Harlow.

PETA heard those bars and was unfazed. The animal rights organization calls out Jack Harlow for glamorizing horseracing and the Kentucky Derby in his new Drake-assisted single and video “Churchill Downs.” PETA notes the winner of the race was struck in the face and that three horses die on U.S. race tracks every day. In addition, PETA is calling out Harlow to donate the funds from the song to take care of horses cast aside by the industry, which can reach up to 7,500 horses a year.

“Jack Harlow’s glamorized portrayal of horse racing is missing the whips, drugs, and deaths rampant in the industry,” says PETA Senior Vice President Kathy Guillermo. “Profiting from the abuse of others is never acceptable, and PETA is calling on Jack Harlow to pony up and pay for the care of American Thoroughbreds who would otherwise be shipped to foreign slaughterhouses.”

At this year’s Kentucky Derby, the winning Thoroughbred Rich Strike began biting the man on horseback, leading him to the winner’s circle. Rich Strike was likely in a frenzy after being whipped and forced to race along with the pandemonium of the winner’s circle. The man continually beat Rich Strike instead of allowing him time to calm down.

PETA uncovers that trainers employ mixtures of medications to enhance horses’ performance and force them to gallop despite agonizing ailments, which increases the danger of catastrophic breakdowns, in a video narrated by Succession star James Cromwell. When horses quit making money, their owners get rid of them.

Donovan Mitchell Inks $195M Extension with Utah Jazz

Cue all the Donovan Mitchell trade rumors for the summer. The Utah Jazz former head coach Quin Snyder stepped down after eight seasons, prompting a new feeling from the Jazz guard. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Mithcell is feeling “unsettled, unnerved and wondering what it means for the franchise’s future.”

According to ESPN, Mitchell committed to the Jazz in part of Snyder and is “surprised and disappointed” that Snyder has left.

Some analysts already poked at potential trouble with the Utah Jazz, and Mitchell specifically, after an early exit from the NBA Playoffs. That moment also highlighted the possible rift between Mitchell and Star big man Rudy Gobert.

Donovan Mitchell has four years and $135 million left on his contract, including a player option for the final year.

50 Cent is getting some early Father’s Day moments in. Hitting Instagram, the Power creator shared a picture of his nine-year-old son Sire Jackson. Sire is the child 50 shares with Daphne Joy.

“Look how big my baby got ! SIRE [arm flex emoji] Filipino Cuisine oh yeah !” 50 wrote on Instagram.

E-40 was in Chase Center when the Boston Celtics went up 1-0 in the NBA Finals. Was he worried? No! He still told TMZ the Dubs would take home the series in 6 games.

“This gonna be a good series, but I got us in 6. And if it goes 7, we’ll win,” 40 said. “We had them. 4th quarter come, them boys would not stop hitting 3s.”

He added another reason to his Warriors’ support, “As long as they shooting like that throughout the whole series we gonna be straight. That was very rare. They was hitting and we was bricking.”

The Warriors would pop out in Game 2 and run the Celtics out of the building. In the early parts of the fourth quarter, the Warriors were up 29 points.

The Warriors would win 107-88 after a dominant 35-14 third quarter and Stephen Curry scored 29 points.

Metro Boomin’s Mother Killed by Her Husband in Reported Murder-Suicide

Prayers go out to Metro Boomin as his mother was killed by her husband before the husband killed himself. According to TMZ, Metro’s mom’s body was found outside of the Atlanta area by police this past weekend.

Metro’s mom was Leslie Joanne Wayne and is believed to have been killed on Friday night. The man was not the super producer’s father.

A representative for Metro Boomin confirmed his mother’s death but not additional deaths, adding a request for privacy.

TMZ notes Wayne noticed Boomin was musically gifted and encouraged him to chase his dreams, even driving him from his hometown of St. Louis to Atlanta to help him connect with artists he reached out to for collaboration.
