DJ Akademiks Shares Messages From Doja Cat Calling Him A “Lowlife Piece Of Sh*t”

djakademiks

DJ Akademiks has spent the majority of his recent career beefing with rappers and other entertainers. Sometimes he is beefing with Freddie Gibbs and other times he might be getting called out by other entertainers or musicians. Just recently old audio of him saying he would sleep with any girl as long as she had a college I.D. surfaced. In a new episode of his podcast, he and DJ Vlad discussed a beef that he had with Doja Cat a couple years ago.

Ak said that the singer had sent him a bunch of messages around the time she was being criticized for hanging out in white supremacist chat rooms.

“[She] sent me a bunch of messages,” Ak said. “It was weird, it was when I was covering the whole thing about like… She was in some white supremacist chat rooms,” he added.

He went on to say how his coverage of her sitation made her “really upset.” The Youtuber and podcaster pulled up DM’s where she told him that she did not like him, and even played a voice memo where she called him a “sick person.”

“No, your problem is that you exploit people. You exploit people’s depression, you exploit people’s mistakes, and you try to bring attention to things that don’t need attention, and that makes you a sick person,” Doja said in the voice memo.

Ak went back to reading the messages Doja sent him. “I said, ‘That’s cool, I don’t like anyone either.’ She’s like, ‘You’re a low-life piece of shit.’ I was laughing, and she was like, ‘I really don’t like you at all.’”

Akademiks said he told Doja to “get in [her] feelings some more” before she responded with, “It’s easy for someone like you to say that with no feelings.”

According to WRIC, 22-year-old Noah Settles has been identified as the suspect who began shooting at Tysons Corner Center in Tysons, Virginia on Saturday, June 18.

Settles is wanted by the Fairfax Police Department for attempted malicious wounding, use of a firearm while committing a felony, and three counts of firing a weapon in an occupied building. Settles is also a D.C. area rapper known by his moniker, No Savage.

The shooting took place on the second floor of the mall around 3 o’clock. Settles apparently got into a verbal dispute with another group before he drew his gun and started firing at them. He then fled the scene in a black Cadillac Escalade.

Nobody was injured in the shooting, but it caused panic as people rushed to leave the mall, not knowing what was going on.

On Monday at around 11 a.m., No Savage took to his Instagram account, where he apologized to his fans. “I love y’all forgive me for letting y’all down,” he wrote on his IG Story.

“We will find, capture, and hold accountable the persons involved in this melee. Drake Reacts To Fake Drake Doppelgänger Getting Kicked Out Of Houston Club

Drake

We’re living in an age where people get famous just because they look like a celebrity.

Ever since Certified Lover Boy, Fake Drake has been enjoying his newfound fame. He has been making club appearances and doing interviews just off the fact that he looks a lot like the 6 god himself.

He has even caught Drake’s attention, but only after he got kicked out of a nightclub in Houston.

Houston club promoter Chris Chizer called out Fake Drake in the club, saying that he couldn’t be there.  “Fake Drake can’t be in Area 29,” he said. “Fake Drake can’t be in here, he’s got to go!”

The clip ended up on DJ Akademiks’ page after it had gone viral.

This caught the attention of Drake who apparently liked Akademiks’ post.

After the video went viral, Fake Drake, also known as Izzy Drake, clarified the situation, saying that it was staged and an attempt to promote Drake’s newest album Honestly, Nevermind.

“I don’t need security. I walked in there, they saw the OVO chain. They said, ‘Oh yo, come in,’” he explained. “I went to the front where the stage is and we staged that shit for Drake’s promo.”

Even after the release of Honestly, Nevermind, Izzy Drake facetimed Drake to congratulate him on dropping his latest album.

Dave Chappelle Declines High School Renaming Theatre In His Honor

Dave Chappelle attacked

Following the release of his last Netflix comedy special, The Closer, Dave Chappelle was met with a swarm of controversy over his transphobic views. In the midst of his controversy, Chappelle’s alma mater, Duke Ellington School Of The Arts, made the decision to rename the school’s theatre after the legendary comedian.

This decision was met with backlash by many students who did not support Chappelle’s views. Chappelle even came to the school where he engaged in a discussion with students against the theatre being named after him. He later announced a fundraiser, and would only go forward with the renaming if more money was raised in favor of the theatre being renamed after him.

Well, more money was raised in Chappelle’s favor, and on Monday, the official renaming ceremony took place. During the ceremony, however, Chappelle decided against the theatre being named after him.

“I took a lot of cold shots in business… but that day, they hurt me,” Chappelle said to the crowd on Monday night. He went on to defend his stand-up, calling it a “masterpiece.”

“No matter what they say about ‘The Closer,’ it is still (one of the) most-watched specials on Netflix. The more you say I can’t say something, the more urgent it is for me to say it. It has nothing to do with what you are saying I can’t say. It has everything to do with my freedom of artistic expression.”

He then said he would not “reject” but would “defer” the theatre’s renaming in order to emphasize the nuance of art” as well as “my right, my freedom of artistic expression.” He said that the theatre will instead be named the Theater of Artistic Freedom & Expression, which was met with applause. Chappelle noted that he made the decision last Friday.

Chris Brown Responds To People Comparing Him To Michael Jackson

g

In an interview a couple of weeks ago, legendary R&B artist, Tank, went on record to say that Chris Brown was more talented than Michael Jackson. Even though Mike passed almost 13 years ago, his fan base remains strong and any comparison of any sort will not be accepted. Social media erupted, slamming the take, and then Joe Budden got into the mix, agreeing with Tank’s take.

In a new interview with Big Boy for Big Boy’s Neighborhood, Chris Brown spoke about his new album and addressed the comparisons between him and Michael Jackson.

“You’ve always given it to Michael Jackson. But now you’re getting people where they say man Chris is better than [him],” Big Boy said to Chris Brown. Breezy responded, saying that is “cap.”

Big Boy then asked Brown how he handles the comparisons between him and MJ. Brown says that he simply stays out of the conversation, and gave the King Of Pop his flowers, saying he would not be breathing if it weren’t for Mike.

“I stay the hell up out of it… I kind of back off it. My personal take on it is I wouldn’t even be breathing or even being able to sing a song if that man didn’t exist. So I don’t know if they look at it as the Jordan/Kobe thing but I can’t even look at it—[Jackson’s] light years ahead.”

“There is no competing with him,” Brown added. “I got shrines of this man hanging up in my house. Hell naw, I ain’t better than Michael Jackson.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Breezy said that he recorded 250 songs for his upcoming album, and eventually narrowed it down to just 23. “It’s crazy in the album process because let’s just say I put out an album like the Indigo album. While I was about to put that out, I was already recording songs and doing stuff for the next one. But I be having so many songs, I think for this actual project I had almost 250 songs. I was like, ‘Yeah, we gotta scale this down and figure out what to do!’”

Brown’s 10th studio album, Breezy, drops this Friday, June 24.
