NLE Choppa Pours His Heart Out On “Yak Flow”

NLE Choppa has certainly changed up his style quite a bit over the last couple of years. The artist is taking a much more introspective approach to his music, and fans have been liking this change quite a bit. With each new song, Choppa is able to show off his improved growth, and fans are always excited to hear what he’s going to do next.

On Friday, the artist dropped off “Yak Flow,” which is definitely inspired by Kodak Black in terms of the delivery. Lyrically, however, NLE speaks about his family and the things he needs to do in order to be a great father. He also speaks about his goals and career, in what can only be described as a song that sees him getting a lot off of his chest.

Quotable Lyrics:

I put it in they face until they get enough of me (Til’ they get enough of me)
I’m underrated and most hated, I feel most neglected (I feel most neglected)
Staying patient and complacent, that’s my hardest lesson (My hardest lesson)
I got to face it, they two-faced and they faked expressions (Yeah, they faked expressions)

Twitter Reacts To DJ Drama & Dreamville’s “D-Day: A Gangsta Grillz Mixtape”

Dreamville fans continue to get their fill of fire new releases. On Friday, April 1st, the J. Cole-led label delivered D-Day: A Gangsta Grillz Mixtape, boasting 15 tracks, featuring hosting from Philadelphia’s own DJ Drama.

So far, Twitter users have named “Barry From Simpson” and “Stick” as favourites, although fans of Ari Lennox have made sure to give the R&B star her flowers as well.

“Ari Lennox has two songs on the new Dreamville mixtape,” one user wrote alongside a screenshot of “Blackberry Sap” and “Coming Down,” both of which showcase the Washington D.C. native’s sultry voice over bouncy, vibey beats. “I love them both,” they continued.

On her own Instagram page, the Shea Butter Baby hitmaker took some time to thank Owen Modamwen, who engineered “Blackberry Sap” before he passed away. “May he continue resting in heaven,” she wrote.

“Produced by J White. ‘Coming Down’ produced by DZL and Wu. Love y’all!!! Drama such a legend. What an honour to be on this beautiful tape. Dreamville you are everything.”

Royce da 59 shared a tweet hyping the new arrival late last night. “Ready to talk about EARTHGANG now?” he asked. “Matter of fact… The WHOLE Dreamville… They ready for the Zombie Apocalypse out this bitch… Cole as an Executive separates him from that 3-headed monster convo y’all been having for the last 10 years. Put some respek on my brother’s name.”

Ben Simmons’ Playing Status Remains Shrouded In Mystery

Ben Simmons is finally on a team that he actually wants to play for, however, his back injury has become such a huge problem that he has yet to suit up for his new team. Fans are starting to get worried about Simmons’ availability, especially with the postseason on the horizon. The Nets need him to be at his healthiest, and if he can’t get there, then the team could very well have some real issues when it comes to their defense and the playoffs.

According to The Athletic, reporters continue to ask Steve Nash about Simmons’ status, however, it doesn’t seem like the team really has an answer. As Nash explained today, the team is very interested in having Simmons return, although for now, there is still no timetable on when it will actually happen.

“Clearly, we’d love to have Ben play for us,” Nash said. “We will hopefully get him back. At the same time, every day, we can’t put our feet in the air because we don’t know when or if it’s going to happen.”

This will come as frustrating news for Nets fans, however, all they can really do is just sit tight and be patient right now. Hopefully, something gets resolved sooner rather than later.

Lil Nas X Teases ‘Montero’ Deluxe Album with Rihanna, Tyler, the Creator

Lil Nas X is causing a frenzy with his latest tweet.

On Friday, April Fools’ Day, the rapper announced that he will be releasing a deluxe edition of his debut album Montero tonight with superstar guests including Rihanna, Dua Lipa, Doja Cat, Tyler, the Creator, NBA YoungBoy, and Saucy Santana.

“I am so excited to announce that MONTERO DELUXE (featuring Rihanna, Dua Lipa, Doja Cat, Tyler the Creator, NBA Youngboy, Saucy Santana, and more!) WILL BE YOURS TONIGHT at 7P EST!” he tweeted along with what appeared to be an album cover.

Fans were excited until they realized that today was April Fools’ Day and that it may just be another one of Nas’ elaborate trolls.

“I was completely confused until I saw the date,” tweeted one fan, while another added, “knew it was cap when I saw rihanna name.”

While fans remain skeptical, the NBA YoungBoy and Saucy Santana collaborations may be real. Last month, Nas teased the pair of tracks, “Late to the Party” with YoungBoy and “Down Souf Hoes” featuring Santana.

Montero was released in September featuring collaborations with Doja Cat, Elton John, Megan Thee Stallion, and Miley Cyrus.

On Sunday, Nas is set to perform with Jack Harlow at the 64th annual Grammy Awards in Las Vegas where he is nominated for five awards including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year.
