Money Man Drops Off “Whale Games” EP

Money Man is known for a couple of things in particular: his consistency in quality and drops, and his love for crypto. The rapper returns today with another crypto-titled project, following 2021’s Blockchain album, with Whale Games. The title is a reference to the term “whale,” simply referring to someone who holds a large amount of crypto in their wallet. Thus, in true hip-hop fashion, Money Man is essentially just affirming his wealth as he flows easily through production from keezy 808 and a few others.

The beats are all trap-driven, but eccentric, each one with its own flair while still connecting to one another, as pretty much all Money Man tracklists do. “Misbehave” is littered with distorted organ keys and squashed horns, while “Presale” has a laidback, jazzy tone to it, and “Air Holes” ends the project on more of a modern note thanks to the warping, flute-riddled beat.

Check out the tracklist below and let us know if you’re a fan of the new EP.

Internet Money Teams Up With Yeah On The Hypnotic Single “No Handoutz”

Over the last year or so, Yeat has become one of the biggest artists in terms of TikTok and social media recognition. His songs are always trending, and with each project, he provides at least one song that is subjected to meme fodder. With that being said, it is crystal clear that Yeat is an artist to watch for in 2022. In fact, he recently teamed up with Internet Money for a new song called “No Handoutz” which dropped last night.

The production on this song is perfect for Yeat as there are plenty of bells and synths in the background. From there, Yeat provides his signature flow that has become synonymous with his name. From the soaring background vocals to the humorous ad-libs, the Yeat formula proves to be a winning one.

IDK & Denzel Curry Link Up With Kaytranada On “Dog Food”

IDK and Denzel Curry have formed undeniable camaraderie on wax. Each time they connect, they bring out the best in each other, and that remains the case on IDK’s new single, “Dog Food.” The two MCs team up with Kaytranada, who lays down an electrifyingly funky beat. IDK and Curry delve into survival on the street, cleverly detailing heightened police surveillance in marginalized communities, like the ones they were raised in. The hook contains a call back to Lil Wayne’s 1999 debut, Tha Block Is Hot, tying together their respective verses reflecting on systemic injustice.

The latest from IDK serves as the latest single from his forthcoming project which will be entirely produced by the Montreal producer. Check out IDK and Denzel Curry’s “Dog Food” below.

Quotable Lyrics
I seen a lot of brothers get popped, we pourin’ Hennessy
And God forbid a nigga get locked, ’cause it ain’t ten of me
Diez, buenos días to señoritas
We movin’ units by the kiosk for fly Adidas

SportsCenter Anchor Sage Steele Sues ESPN and Disney for Violation of Free Speech

Sage Steele is at odds with her employer. The Wall Street Journal notes the SportsCenter anchor is suing ESPN and its parent company, Walt Disney Co., after being forced into an apology for her comments regarding COVID-19 and Barack Obama on a podcast appearance.

Steele cites that her contract was breached in the suit, and her free speech was violated for questioning vaccine mandates and Obama’s race while on Uncut with Jay Cutler. During the appearance, Steele also blamed female sports journalists for offensive remarks made about them by athletes because of how they dressed.

After the statements, Steele has continued her position as an anchor for the noon SportsCenter broadcast, but her additional on-air tasks have been limited.

The lawsuit accuses ESPN of not attempting to “stop bullying and harassment by Ms. STeele’s colleagues” and the company “violated Connecticut law and Steele’s rights to free speech based upon a faulty understanding of her comments and a nonexistent, unenforced workplace policy that serves as nothing more than pretext.”

Apparently, Lil Uzi Vert wanted all the smoke with ASAP Bari, as a viral video shows the Philly rapper pulling up on the ASAP Mob member at NYC swank hotspot Lucien.

The video shows Bari and a crew of people standing up in the restaurant, while Bari is yelling at someone, who is presumably Uzi Vert.

“What is you doin’?!” yells Bari, while the person off-camera is then heard telling Bari, “Shut up, b*tch.”

Uzi Vert needs to tread lightly as he is already on probation for assaulting ex-girlfriend Brittany Byrd and SAINt JHn and pulling a gun on them in Los Angeles. Uzi was ordered to participate in a program for mental health and substance abuse issues and has also been placed on a ten-year criminal protective order.

Following A$AP Rocky’s publicized arrest upon his arrival from Barbados, a police raid of Rocky’s Hollywood home unveils multiple illegal weapons, further complicating his 2021 shooting case.

A TMZ report confirms that authorities are running ballistic tests on the weapons found in his home to see if one of the guns discovered was used in the shooting. The will also be researching the history of all of the weapons seized in the raid to see if they have been registered or stolen.

Rocky was taken into custody last week upon his arrival to LAX on a private jet from Barbados with Rihanna. Rocky was surprised at the arrest, which allowed investigators to conduct a raid of his home without him or his team having a chance to remove any evidence they may need to make the charges stick.

TheSource.com will update this story as details develop.
