Reazy Renegade Taps Rich The Kid & K Camp on “Ballin’ (Kevin Durant)”

The song delivers a heavy bass foundation like a ball dripping down the court with the three artists saucing it with basketball-inspired rhymes that praise the popular Brooklyn Nets’ power forward. K Camp and his signature sing-a-long hook style spit, “Ball like I’m Brook, ball like Kevin Durant (Let’s go) / That boy a dub, I know he don’t stand a chance (Uh-huh) / Glock in my hand, keep a knot in my pants (A Glock in my-) / Glock in my hand, keep a knot in my- (Skrrt, hey).”

Reazy follows Camp with a trendy obnoxious flow, rapping, “I walk with a dirty stick / Pull up at a bank with a bankroll lit (Skrrt) / I was eighteen, hit a hundred band lick (Lick) / These n*ggas ain’t even rich as my bitch (My bitch).”

Rich The Kid appears on the track courtesy of Rich Forever, and K Camp appears courtesy of Interscope Records.

1TakeJay Drops ‘The Morning After’ Mixtape with “The Pay Back” Video

1TakeJay’s 2018 breakout hit, “Arco,” catapulted him into the limelight as one of the West Coast’s next-generation superstars. The unorthodox recording artist followed the debut with five full-length records, including the fan-favorites, 2018’s Wait Hol Up, and 2021’s 1TakeBae. The popularity led to collaborations with numerous hip-hop superstars such as Kalan.FrFr, Rich The Kid, Shoreline Mafia, and Mustard. Today, he continues his evolution with The Morning After, a 16-track mixtape with the release of the new music video for the project’s second single, “The Pay Back.”

On “Pay Back,” directed by Carrington, 1TakeJay takes us through a day-in-the-life that includes hitting the studio, quality time with family and friends, interacting with fans, and reminiscing on those who doubt him. “Any B*tch that left wish they woulda kept me – yea I know, b*tch / F*ck that, this the Pay Back – B*tch,” he raps.

The Game Throws Shade At Dr. Dre In New Drink Champs Episode Clip: “Kanye Did More For Me In 2 Weeks Than Dre Ever Did”

Fans' Ears Perk as Kanye West, The Game Tackle an Eazy-E Sample

Throughout his career, The Game has been connected to two of the best producers in hip hop history: Dr. Dre, and Kanye West. While Dr. Dre founded and signed The Game in 2003, there seems to be bad blood between the two. Last month rumors spread and were later denied, that The Game was mad at Dr. Dre for not being included in the Super Bowl Halftime show. Now in a clip for his upcoming Drink Champs episode, The Game says that Ye did more for him in 2 weeks than Dre did his entire career.

“It’s crazy that Ye did more for me in the last two weeks than Dre did for me my whole career,” Game said during the clip.

The Game and Ye have been in the studio with each other these last few months, and having a history of collaborating. They recently collaorated on the song “Eazy” and Ye brought Game out during his DONDA 2 performance to performa the song. Despite their history of recent collabs, saying Ye did more for him than Dre did might be a stretch. After all, Dre did sign and executive produce The Game’s debut studio album. We’re going to have to wait until Thursday when the episode drops for The Game to explain himself.

Elsewhere in the clip, it is evident that some of Ye’s style influence rubbed off on him. The Game is seen wearing an all-black fit with a ski mask and Balenciaga sunglasses, later taking his jacket and ski mask off and telling N.O.R.E. that he’ll drink a bottle of Clase Azul tequila if N.O.R.E. finishes his cup.

Talib Kweli Confirms A New “Black Star” Album Is Coming

Black Star Talib Kweli Yasiin Bey

The wait for a new Black Star album might be coming to a close. I has been 24 years since the group dropped their first and only album, and hip hop heads from all over have been patiently waiting for more music between the two. Talib Kweli took to Instagram where he shared a picture of him and Mos Def in a room together and in the caption, teased a second album from their group.

“The new Black Star album was recorded in hotel rooms and dressing rooms across the globe” Kweli said. “I love how my brother @yasiinbey pushes me musically. #blackstarforever follow @blackstarkeepshining today…”

Hopefully the album actually comes out. Talib has been teasing the release of the album since 2019. In the summer of the same year, Kweli confirmed that there was an album and that Madlib would handle the production for the album. However, Kweli noted that there were problems clearing the samples for the project.

Kweli gave another announcement at the beginning of 2021, saying that sample clearances were underway. However, Black Star did debut a new song in May of last year on their podcast with Dave Chappelle. Fast forward, there’s still no album.
