John Legend & Chrissy Teigen Memorialize Son, Jack, 1 Year After His Death

Things are solemn in the Legend-Teigen household as the family mourns the one year anniversary of the loss of their son, Jack. Chrissy revealed via Instagram last fall that she had suffered a pregnancy loss, and had to say goodbye to what would’ve been the couple’s third child.

“And to the son we almost had. A year ago you gave me the greatest pain I could ever imagine to show me I could survive anything, even if I didn’t want to,” the model captioned a photo of her crying into her husband’s arms earlier this week.

“I didn’t get to take care of you but you came and went to get me to love myself and take care of myself because our bodies are precious and life is a miracle. They told me it would get easier but yeah, that hasn’t started yet. Mom and Dad love you forever.”

On Thursday, Teigen also shared some intimate photos from the family’s home, where they invited some monks over to honour Jack’s spirit.

“Took me a year but finally honoured his little spirit with some blessings today. Hopefully some closure in my heart will happen now. Thank you guys for the kind words. It’s a process,” the 35-year-old wrote.

The photos show Teigen, her mother, Pepper, Legend, and their two children, Luna and Miles, sitting around a table with the monks, stunning displays of flowers placed in front of them.

Mike Tyson Asks Freddie Gibbs If He Would Win In A Fight Against 6ix9ine

The third season of Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson has been packed with noteworthy appearances from renowned Hip-Hop artists, from T-Pain and Wale to Kevin Gates and Joey Bada$$. For the latest episode of Mike Tyson’s popular podcast, Freddie Gibbs serves as the show’s special guest, and much like the Alfredo rapper’s appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience earlier this year, this new episode of Hotboxin‘ is extremely entertaining.

One particularly funny segment from the latest episode takes place around the 12:56-mark, when Mike Tyson questions whether Freddie Gibbs could beat Tekashi 6ix9ine in a fistfight. Clearly thrown off by the question, Freddie Gibbs even repeats the legendary boxers question, saying, “Think I could handle Tekashi 6ix9ine? The f*ck?”

From that point on, Freddie Gibbs and Mike Tyson’s conversation yields plenty of hilarious moments. Freddie Gibbs likens a fight between himself and 6ix9ine to a matchup between a pit bull and a chihuahua, saying, “That mother f*cker like 5’3″, man. Mother f*ckers like that get f*cked up. Sh*t, ain’t nothing tough about a guy like that.”

Mike Tyson then proceeds to roast Tekashi 6ix9ine by saying that he has a speech impediment. The Bandana artist seems a bit confused by Tyson’s comment, but continues nonetheless. Freddie Gibbs even offers the controversial rapper some props for his skill as an artist, saying, “I ain’t gone even lie — I like some of his songs when he first came out. I ain’t with that snitching sh*t, but he was a good artist though. Mother fu*ckers can’t really take that away from him…He’s definitely an entertaining a** n*gga.”

LL Cool J Will Present Tyler The Creator With A New Award At The 2021 BET Hip-Hop Awards

At this year’s BET Hip-Hop Awards airing October 5 at 9 pm ET, LL Cool J will be presenting Tyler The Creator with a new award named after LL’s most impactful hit. The Rock The Bells Cultural Influence Award will recognize the growth and widespread effect Tyler has had over the past decade of rap music, representing a way for the older generation of hip-hop pioneers to recognize their successors — and maybe inform viewers on a little bit more hip-hop history.

Meanwhile, the awards themselves were actually filmed this week on Thursday, September 30, giving LL a chance to address the occasion via a statement from BET. “I am proud to honor Tyler, The Creator, with the first-ever Rock The Bells cultural influence award, which celebrates an artist who continues to break down the conventional boundaries of hip hop culture,” he said.

In addition, Tyler is nominated for four awards including, Hip Hop Album of the Year for his album Call Me If You Get Lost, Artist of the Year, Best Live Performer, and Producer of the Year. The honor follows Tyler’s mind-(and everything else)blowing performance of album single “Lumberjack” at the BET Awards earlier this year. Tyler said of the experience, “I was so hype to perform at the BET Awards. I don’t think people understand, dude. Having Durk and Lil Baby and Styles P just tell me how good the performance was meant a lot. I just never felt like my style of music would ever have been, not even appreciated, but allowed on there. And because of that, I would mock it. It was like a defense mechanism because I felt like I wasn’t accepted by that audience. But when they asked me this year, man, I was enthralled. I was so happy.”

Coi Leray Says Label Stopping Album Release, Responds To Bullies: “I Hate It Here”

Coi Leray is a crossover superstar in the making, but the aspiring “pop girl” has some major obstacles to jump over right now. Every time she posts anything on social media, her comments are filled with bullies sharing hate messages and shaming her body. On top of that, Coi is apparently having some issues at her label, admitting on Friday that the higher-ups are blocking her album release, despite her thoughts that she’s ready.

The trend-setting artist had a lot to get off her chest this morning. Coi started the day by retweeting Bktherula, who said that haters are almost always eventually converted into fans. Then, her thoughts got dark.

You can have everything In the world and still have nothing,” she tweeted.

A fan responded to the tweet by asking her if she had any updates on her debut album, which was originally slated to be released in May 2021

Na I’m sorry,” she replied, before sharing another post. “Feel like I’m ready for an album but my label doesn’t think so. So I’m just going with the flow. I hate the flow.

Unfortunately, Coi got caught up by her bullies, because she spent the next few moments responding to a few of them.

When somebody told her to “make real music,” she responded, “You have my notifications turned on. You keep getting on here tryna bully me. What’s the motive yall tryna kill me something?”

Then, someone told her to “gain some weight ms. skin and bones,” to which she clapped back, saying, “Shit is sad.”

Her dark thoughts continued, saying, “I guess this is my karma. Whatever I did God, please forgive me. I’m tired of being bullied. I hate it here.”

She finally posted about one positive thing: the video views for “TWINNEM,” her latest single. When a fan suggested she turn off her phone and focus on her next moves, she responded with a handshake emoji, signaling that she’s going to refresh and get back to the game even better.

Hopefully, Coi’s day gets a little better. Check out her tweets below.

Red Cafe & Benny The Butcher Stash The “Drug Money”

Red Cafe has come through with a hard-hitting new track “Drug Money,” and for the occasion he’s opted to link up with Benny The Butcher. Understandable, as Benny has proven himself to be a man to hire when one wants to get something done. Here is no exception, as it quickly becomes clear that this is a topic both parties hold close to heart.

Over a tense piano-driven instrumental, Red Cafe sets it off with some g’d up bars, providing a slight window into his lifestyle though never failing to keep a distance. The Butcher picks up where Red left off, establishing his own reputation despite the fact that it precedes him. “I’m Eastside Buff’s most wanted when come to crime,” he spits. “Counting money while I watch Scarface for the hundredth time.”

Check out “Drug Money” right here, and hit the comments if you dig the musical chemistry between Red Cafe and Benny The Butcher.

Quotable Lyrics

I’m Eastside Buff’s most wanted when come to crime,
Counting money while I watch Scarface for the hundredth time

Ben Simmons Misses Out On Over $8 Million

Ben Simmons is looking to get out of Philadelphia right now and the 76ers are taking their sweet time with the proceedings. Despite his poor showing in the playoffs, Simmons is a valuable player and the Sixers don’t want to set themselves back. In the meantime, Simmons has no interest in ever playing another game for the Sixers, and as a result, he is refusing to show up to training camp, which puts the team in a bad situation.

Earlier this week it was reported that Simmons would much rather forfeit his entire salary for the year, than play for the Sixers, which is yet another indication that the relationship between both sides has been strained.

According to Shams Charania, the 76ers are making good on Ben’s wishes as they will not be paying him the $8.25 million he was owed today. This is obviously bad news for Simmons, however, it was his idea to hold out in the first place. The Sixers want to make the best trade possible, which is going to take time. This means Simmons is going to continue losing out on checks, which could very well lead to reconciliation if Simmons becomes fed up with a lack of cash flow.

This situation continues to develop, so stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest updates. Also, let us know which team would be the best fit for Simmons moving forward.

Gabby Petito Update: New Bodycam Footage Reveals Brian Laundrie Hit The Late 22-Year-Old

It’s been nearly two weeks since the remains of 22-year-old Gabby Petito were discovered in Grand Teton National Park, but her fiancé, and the main person of interest in her death, Brian Laundrie, is still missing.

As the investigation into the YouTuber’s untimely death continues, more and more information is being released by authorities, including a lengthy clip from the body camera on Moab police officer Eric Pratt that was recorded when the couple was pulled over for an alleged domestic dispute.

In the video, Pratt can be heard asking Petito if Laundrie had hit her, as they’d received two reports from witnesses claiming to have seen the pair fighting.

“I, I guess, yeah, but I hit him first,” the 22-year-old responds, to which Pratt replied with a question to confirm.

“You slapped him first? And just on his face?”

Petito responded, “well, he kept telling me to shut up, but I hit him first…Well, he like grabbed my face…He didn’t like, hit me in the face. He didn’t, like, punch me in the face or anything.”

“He, like, grabbed me with his nail, and I guess that’s why it looks … definitely I was cut right here [points to cheek] because I can feel it. When I touch it, it burns.”

It’s abundantly clear that Petito is looking for ways to minimize the incident between her and Laundrie, and at one point she even offers to pay a driving ticket rather than have charges pressed against either of them for their spat.

PEOPLE reports that officer Pratt’s recounting of the incident is contradictory, at first saying “it was reported the male had been observed to have assaulted the female,” but later writing, “no one reported that the male struck the female.”

Police decided that Petito and Laundrie’s fight was “disorderly conduct” and not domestic violence, and also claimed that the former was the aggressor in the situation.

In a statement to CNN, the city of Moab announced that it had launched an investigation into the incident.

“We understand that individuals can view the same situation in very different ways, and we recognize how the death of Ms. Petito more than two weeks later in Wyoming might lead to speculation, in hindsight, about actions taken during the incident in Moab.”

The statement continues, “The purpose of the City’s formal investigation is to gather the underlying facts and evidence necessary to make a thorough, informed evaluation of such actions.”

Shortly after Petito’s remains were discovered, her family hosted a celebration of life in New York.

The search for Laundrie continues, with Dog the Bounty Hunter sharing regular updates on the case via social media. Check out the latest for yourself below.

RIP Gabby.

OTF Rapper Booka600 Makes A Name For Himself On New Album “LOYAL” Featuring Lil Baby, Lil Durk, & More

Booka600 has come a very long way in recent years. Previously, he was known to hip-hop fans as Lil Durk’s latest protégé, popping up in the background of his music videos and coming through in a support role. In the last few years though, Booka has made a name for himself, showing that he can also have a major impact on the music industry out of OTF.

The Chicago native continues to reach new levels in his career and he’s jumping over another major hurdle this week, dropping his new album LOYAL.

J.I.D. & EarthGang Connect With The Neptunes

EarthGang and J.I.D both have projects in the works; the former is in the process of crafting Ghetto Gods, while the latter is working on an album that may or may not be called The Forever Story.

Either way, both projects have a few things in common. For one, they each have yet to land a concrete release date. And two, they’re both highly anticipated, likely to spark buzz whenever they ultimately land. Evidently, it would appear that something is afoot with one of the two, as EarthGang recently shared an intriguing picture of a recent studio session with The Neptunes.

Though the clip doesn’t feature any sound — Wowgr8 can be seen vibing to some music, however — the duo confirms that they’re currently locked in with J.I.D, Pharrell Williams, and Chad Hugo. “What you think this gon sound like?” asks the caption, a fair question we’re eager to hear the answer to.

Interestingly enough, the Dreamville artists aren’t the only ones linking up with P and Chad, who once set the game ablaze as The Neptunes. Pusha T was recently seen at their studio ahead of his new album release, and from the sound of it, The Neptunes will be playing a major role on that one.

While it’s uncertain as to whether or not they’re doing multiple songs with J.I.D and EarthGang or simply one, either way, it’s bound to be a welcome addition to whatever album it ends up on. Check out the picture from the recent studio session below.
