JoJo Delivers “Trying Not To Think About It” EP

She’s an R&B veteran whose vocals have been entertaining fans since the 2000s and JoJo is back with even more music to add to her growing catalog. The singer has endured quite a few struggles since stepping into the music scene as a teen, and she has preserved through the battles with her weight, addictions, and the rises and falls that come with the industry.

Now that her earlier releases have been added to DSPs following Blackground Records reviving itself, JoJo is setting forth this new stage of her music career. On Friday (October 1), she shared trying not to think about it, her 12-track R&B offering that she has been teasing for some time. JoJo flies solo on the record as she has opted to skip hosting features and she successfully carries the weight throughout.

This is one that blends the sounds of R&B jams of yesteryear with an updated approach, so stream trying not to think about it and share your thoughts.

Kali Uchis & SZA Heat Things Up In Steamy Visual To “Fue Mejor (Remix)”

There have been quite a few releases from SZA in 2021, albeit a few have come courtesy of movie soundtracks. Fans continue to await news about her sophomore effort, but SZA has not shared when, or if, that album will arrive. We’ve heard of some grumblings with her label, thanks to the singer sharing information on social media, but just as quickly as she laments, SZA returns to tell the world that all is well with her team.

This week, SZA popped up on the remix to Kali Uchis’s “Fue Mejor,” and the pair even joined together for a brooding visual. There are a few scenes that will get fans a tad hot under the collar, but that can be expected for the pair of hitmakers. The original version of this track was released almost a year ago and hosted a feature from PartyNextDoor, and it seems that Uchis isn’t quite finished riding its wave.

T-Pain & Kehlani Tap Bia For “I Like Dat (Remix)”

Earlier this year, the world received a gift when T-Pain and Kehlani shared their single, “I Like Dat.” It is a song that came from a DM snafu that T-Pain shared with his millions of followers across social media; he revealed that he had hundreds, if not thousands of unanswered DMs. They were the result of years of being ignored, but T-Pain promised that it was an accident and he never intended on snubbing anyone.

He found a request from Kehlani in that bunch and soon, the pair delivered “I Like Dat.” We were prepared to hear something new from T-Pain considering Bia teased a collaboration in recent days, and on Friday (October 1), “I Like Dat (Remix)” arrived. Bia has been reveling in her moment with successful singles alongside Russ and Nicki Minaj, and she’s hoping that her “Bestio” track featuring G Herbo will have the same result.

Yo Gotti Returns With “For The Record”

There are big moves being made in Yo Gotti’s camp, and he does not seem to be slowing down anytime soon. On the heels of the news that he is now a minority owner of a soccer team, Gotti celebrates by releasing a new single. “I was introduced to the game by my son and watched how quickly it has grown in our country, so I’m honored to join the D.C. United ownership group,” he said of his new venture.

The Memphis icon inserted himself into the New Music Friday by joining others like Meek MillLil Wayne, and Rich The Kid who also have releases to kick off the month of October. On Yo Gotti’s “For The Record”—a track produced by SMPLGTWY, Boi-1da, Omar Guetfa, AT and A-Darian—the rapper spits bars that once again read like an anthem for the streets. Stream Gotti’s latest and let us know if you’re feeling “For The Record.”

Bino Rideaux And Roddy Ricch Offer A Stern Warning Towards Betrayal On ‘Lemme Find Out’

Bino Rideaux and Roddy Ricch are noteworthy West Coast rappers of today’s generation in their own rights. Roddy has worked with a number of popular names in the music world while delivering a critically-acclaimed debut album, that being Please Excuse Me For Beng Antisocial, as well a chart-topping hit song with “The Box.” On the flip side, Bino has progressed upward in his own career thanks to his 2020 project, Outside, as well as her sharp work with fellow West Coaster Blxst on their joint projects Sixtape and Sixtape 2. After a couple of years of hustling on their own, Bino and Roddy join forces for a brand new track.

“Lemme Find Out” is the duo’s first collaboration together and it’s one that finds them hinting at harsh consequences for those who dare to cross them. The duo also uses the track to make a move on the respective women that have caught their attention. “These n****s fraud, let me find out / Put this on your tongue, bet you’ll find out,” Bino raps. Roddy arrives for a second verse and adds, I’m that n**** that’s been standin’ ten toes for a whole / Your main n**** been doin’ you too wrong for a while.”

The track arrives after Bino connected with King Combs for “No Makeup” last month. He also delivered visuals for a trio of collaborations with Blxst, those being “Pop Out,” “One Of Them Ones,” and “Movie.” As for Roddy, he released his first solo single in almost two years with “Late At Night.” He also hinted that his sophomore album could be titled Live Life Fast thanks to a cryptic Instagram post.

T-Pain And Kehlani Recruit BIA For An Additional Dose Of Confident Flavor On Their ‘I Like Dat’ Remix

After pushing through his Instagram DM debacle earlier this year, T-Pain got to work in fulfilling requests from artists to collaborate, all of which he missed out on over the past couple of years. Furthermore, the singer called on some acts to work with him, one of them being Kehlani. Earlier this year the two united for “I Like Dat” and it’s a record that’s grown to be one of the more popular releases from the past few months. The duo now looks to give it an extra boost by calling on rising rapper BIA to remix the song.

The remix to “I Like Dat” is BIA’s latest spotlight in 2021 and for this occasion, the Massachusetts-bred rapper shows out. The remix comes after she teamed up with G Herbo for “Besito,” a track that’s set to appear on the upcoming deluxe reissue of her debut project, For Certain, which she released last year. “I Like Dat” is not the only song that BIA has remixed this year. Back in July, she teamed up with Nicki Minaj for a fresh version of her viral hit song, “Whole Lotta Money.” The remix came equipped with new verses from the rappers, with both of them briefly rapping back and forth at one point.

You can vibe out to the new remix in the video above.

Bino Rideaux & Roddy Ricch Team Up On “Lemme Find Out”

As compared to other rappers, Roddy Ricch maintains a relatively low profile. His aptly titled Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial was a megahit, as has been each release, whether album or singles. We all enjoyed the international success of “Rockstar,” a DaBaby track that hosted a Roddy feature, and now the Los Angeles native is back, this time, partnered with Bino Rideaux.

Weeks ago, we received Bino’s King Combs-assisted “No Makeup,” a bop that also came with a ladies-laced music video. No, he’s back with “Lemme Find Out” featuring Roddy, and it is safe to say that fans are expecting a big music announcement in the coming weeks. On the track, the pair of rappers deliver a laid-back approach to the TIGGI and Don Alfonso-produced groove, making this one a single you will have on repeat during those late-night rides.

Quotable Lyrics

Give my dawg a hundred, like a blow we both on, yeah
They gon’ see me on the ‘gram, I gotta get my blow on
Always off the drink, I ain’t know what else to think
All this money in the bank got me feeling so alone
When I think of pain, I can think of our home

Lil Wayne & Rich The Kid Share Joint Album “Trust Fund Babies” Ft. YG

We’ve reported on just how often Lil Wayne sings Rich The Kid’s praises, and now the pair have returned with their anticipated joint album. Weezy is a legend, icon, and GOAT in the music industry, so securing a collaborative project with the Lousiana rapper is no easy feat. There are artists clamoring for an opportunity to work with Wayne, and several are seething with jealousy with the release of Trust Fund Babies.

Rich The Kid is no stranger to joint projects and most recently, he partnered with NBA YoungBoy for their November 2020 record, Nobody Safe. On Trust Fund Babies, we find Rich The Kid and Lil Wayne holding things down as a duo for the majority of the album, aside from a feature from special guest YG.

Meek Mill Drops “Expensive Pain” Ft. Young Thug, Lil Durk, Lil Baby, Moneybagg Yo, Kehlani, & More

He gave himself his own flowers in a recent social media post, and Meek Mill is ready to share the music he has been working on. The Philly rapper may steal attention over his funny tweets, viral moments, or internet beefs, but Meek is serious about his music. We haven’t received a full-length studio album from Meek since the 2018 release of his acclaimed Championships, and fans are wondering if he can match the successes of that project. Expensive Pain features looks from Lil Durk, Lil Baby, Kehlani, A$AP Ferg, Moneybagg Yo, Giggs, Young Thug, Vory, Lil Uzi Vert, and Brent Faiyaz.
