NFL Star DeSean Jackson Drops Off New Single “Roll With Me”

There’s an old saying that rappers want to be ballplayers and ballplayers want to be rappers.

Nowadays, there’s a ton of people trying to do both. From Damian Lillard to DeSean Jackson, there is no shortage of professional athletes who also rap. Guys who can score touchdowns or score 40 can walk off the field or the court into the booth and get on the mic with ease.

Just two days after racking up 120 yards and a touchdown in a win against the reigning Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jackson debuted his new single “Roll With Me” and provided visuals to match.

A bouncy record with a smooth hook, Jackson, rap name D Jacc trades verses with Armonie Jay and Mel slides through a couple times to deliver a drippy hook that gets your shoulders moving. Set in a Rolls Royce truck, a private jet and a grotto packed with D Jacc’s crew and beautiful women, the song is lavish and paints a picture of what Jackson gets into when he’s not catching 70 yard bombs for touchdowns.

Quotable Lyrics
Private jet a private island we on jet skis
Baby take me to the moon come and bless me
Them other n****s ain’t bad they ain’t like me
Going up for my n**** wish a b*tch would try to test me

MoneyBagg Yo & Ari Clap Back At “The Real” Hosts For Criticizing Rapper’s Birthday Gift

Ari Fletcher got MoneyBagg Yo a gift that he’ll never forget for his thirtieth birthday, helping the rapper build generational wealth and purchasing over twenty-eight acres of land for him. Considering the couple isn’t even married, lots of people have had an opinion about how hard Ari went for her man’s birthday, including the hosts of The Real.

On a recent episode of the daytime talk show, Garcelle Beauvais and her co-hosts spoke about MoneyBagg Yo’s birthday gift.

“Last year, last season, Loni [Love] and I were talking about, ‘Don’t act married if you’re not married,'” she said. “This is acting married! That’s a huge gift to someone that you’re not even married to. I feel like, if a man gave me twenty-eight acres, I would feel obligated to stay with them if it didn’t work.”

Beauvais, who is well-known for playing Francesca “Fancy” Monroe on The Jamie Foxx Show, earned responses from Ari and Bagg on Twitter.

“Y’all don’t know the half of what he does for me mentally or financially. I’ve never felt so safe, loved, spoiled and happy with a person,” said Ari about her rapper boyfriend. “He loves me and my son so much. I’m sorry that you haven’t experienced a love like this. Focus on getting your own land and your husband. Y’all mad at Jewlery and cars but generational wealth is taking it too far… people will always have something to say no matter what.”

Bagg also spoke out, saying, “Love is Love Mind Ya Business.” He also laughed, tweeting, “Not Fancy hating on my gift.”

What do you think? Should anybody be judging what kind of gift-giving happens between MoneyBagg Yo and Ari Fletcher? Or should we just mind our tax brackets?

Nicki Minaj Teases New Jesy Nelson Collab “Boyz”

Nicki Minaj has been semi-retired from the rap game, and while it’s unlikely that she’ll ever truly step away from making music, her output has slowed considerably. That’s not to say she’s gone entirely MIA — in fact, Nicki appears to be on the verge of delivering a new track, taking her talents overseas to the U.K.

Earlier this afternoon, Nicki took to Instagram to preview her upcoming collaboration “Boyz,” which finds her linking up with Jesy Nelson for what promises to be a crowd-pleaser.

In her own caption, Nicki declares that it’s “almost time,” which probably translates to “this coming Friday.” On her own page, Nelson expressed concern that the track would be too big for their own good: “Do you think they’re ready for this.”

At this time, we haven’t had the chance to catch any audio — save for an introductory word from Nicki Minaj, who teased the union of the “UK Baddie and the Barbie.”

One has to wonder if this track will be the catalyst for a more substantial release from Nicki, whose most recent album arrived with 2019’s Queen. Given how much she has experienced since, it certainly feels like an album would be the perfect way of catching up with the rap legend — be sure to sound off in the comments if you agree.

In the meantime, check out Nicki’s preview for “Boyz” below, and look for that to arrive in the near future.

LeBron James Confirms He Is Vaccinated But Says It’s Not His Job To Encourage Other Players

It is no secret that the NBA goes as LeBron goes.

For some years now, it’s been a quiet conversation that LeBron James is at the forefront of the NBA’s decision making process. Much like Carmelo Anthony jokingly telling James that he is the GM of the Lakers, it has long been believed that King James has NBA commissioner Adam Silver’s ear and that whatever LeBron wants, LeBron gets.

Today, however, after revealing that he and his family have all received the COVID-19 vaccine, he is not in the position to tell anybody else what to do.

“You have to do what’s best for your family,” LBJ said. “So, I know what I did for me and my family. I know some of my friends and what they did for their families … But as far as speaking for everybody and their individualities and things that they want to do, I don’t feel like that — that’s not my job.”

“Everybody and their individualities,” as LeBron mentioned, is an indirect reference to those NBA players who have declined the COVID-19 vaccine, despite mandates in certain cities which will ultimately force unvaccinated players to miss time and lose money.

Among the highest profile unvaccinated players are Andrew Wiggins, Bradley Beal and Kyrie Irving. Wiggins, who attempted to get a religious exemption from the vaccine, is facing a vaccine mandate in San Francisco as a member of the Golden State Warriors, as is Irving, a member of the Brooklyn Nets.

Beal, who would still be able to play in his home city, Washington D.C., under current regulations, spent a portion of the Wizards media availability yesterday questioning the vaccine and its benefits, asking, “I would like an explanation to people with vaccines, why are they still getting COVID?” Before also stating, “If that’s something we’re supposed to highly be protected from, that’s funny that it only reduces your chances of going to the hospital. It doesn’t eliminate anyone from getting COVID.”

The vaccine debate has raged throughout the NBA for weeks now and, despite 90% of the league being vaccinated, there are holdouts and those holdouts do include some big name players who, if faced with missing games, will hurt their team’s chances at being successful.

LeBron, the most important and arguably the best player in the league, even at age 36, is vaccinated but like many NBA players have echoed over the last couple days, does not feel it is his place to convert those holdouts.

It’ll be interesting to see how the next couple of weeks leading up to the NBA’s opening night play out regarding the vaccine but one thing is for sure — LBJ got the shot and with the revelation that the Lakers are 100% vaccinated, will be ready to go for that first tip-off.

What do you think of LeBron’s comments on the vaccine and players who don’t want to get it? Let us know in the comments.

21 Savage Explains Why Future May Be Bigger Than Drake In Atlanta

The next episode of DJ Akademiks’ podcast Off The Record is set to go live on Wednesday, and the media personality is giving his followers a sneak peek into tomorrow’s guest, revealing that he will be interviewing Atlanta rapper 21 Savage. Ak shared a preview of the upcoming podcast, during which Savage debates why he thinks Future might be bigger than Drake in his hometown.

“N***as don’t be listenin’ to Drake like that where we are,” said the rapper in a video posted to Akademiks’ page. “If I wasn’t a rapper, I don’t feel like I still would listen to Drake, for real. It’s just I’m a rapper so I understand the work he puts in and how hard he goes. When you ain’t no rapper, all them statistics don’t mean shit. A regular street n***a don’t give a fuck about how many times you went #1, how many white people listen to your shit ’cause, them n***as, the furthest they think is the club. Who’s selling this club out? That’s who they think is the biggest n***as.”

Savage went on to say that, in Atlanta, a large number of people would argue that Future is “bigger” than Drake, by that measure.

“In Atlanta, it’s a lot of n***as who you can’t tell them Future ain’t bigger than Drake,” said Savage, which Akademiks immediately disputed. “On god, n***a. I used to think that! Drake ain’t really no big mixtape artist like that. How you got all your Drake albums, you probably really went in the store and bought those motherfuckers. Every Future album I ever heard was a bootleg. N***as was bootleggin’ it or going to Live Mixtapes. So when Nothing Was The Same and all that type of shit came out, n***as ain’t knowing how to get to that.”

A Skeptical Snoop Dogg Absolutely Kills The ‘One-Second Rap Song’ Game On ‘Fallon’

After decades in the music industry, Snoop Dogg is putting his music knowledge to the test once and for all. As the latest guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Snoop Dogg attempted to guess song titles after hearing a short snippet of a track in a game called One Second Rap Song.

Snoop Dogg was very skeptical about the game at first but unsurprisingly went on to absolutely kill it. When Fallon first explained the game’s premise, Snoop said: “Who thought of this damn show? When you do what I do, one second just may not be enough.” But sure enough, Snoop Dogg was able to successfully guess the title of each hip-hop tune, even when he was played a quarter of a second of a song.

Elsewhere in the segment, Snoop Dogg reveals he has secured a new gig at Def Jam Records: Executive Creative and Strategic Consultant. “I was a fan of Def Jam Records as a kid, and knowing the talent that they have over there and the opportunity that was waiting on me, I wanted to go over there and give a lot of opportunity to the artists over there to get some information, some wisdom and some guidance from me and then also develop some new acts and give some opportunity,” he told Fallon. “So Def Jam was the perfect place for me, considering how much I love it and how much it means to hip-hop and how it really needed somebody like me to change the energy of the building. I’m over there for one reason: to get the music back poppin’ and to make the people feel the way they’re supposed to.”

Tyron Woodley Gets “I Love Jake Paul” Tattoo, Jake Paul Responds

MMA fighter Tyron Woodley showed off his new “I love Jake Paul” tattoo across his middle finger, on Instagram, Monday, September 27. Paul agreed to grant Woodley a rematch if he were to get the tattoo, following their initial fight on August 29th. Woodley, the former 5x UFC Welterwight Champion, lost via decision in a Showtime Boxing PPV event in Cleveland, Ohio, at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

The two boxers originally agreed on the rematch proposal right after their initial fight, when a frustrated Woodley challenged Paul on-stage after his surprising loss, saying, “If you not scared, run it back.” Paul accepted the challenge under one condition, telling Woodley that, “If you get the tattoo ‘I love Jake Paul’, let’s run it back.” Woodly promptly responded, “Bet,” in agreement.

The former UFC Champion was initially supposed to get that tattoo immediately following the fight, and when he hesitated, Paul told ESPN two weeks ago that:

“If he would have gotten the tattoo right away, got 10 million views on his Instagram video, [then] everyone would have been super hyped, there would have been a ton of press around it. And I would have been sort of forced to do it,” Paul admitted. “I couldn’t really deny him then, because if he’s going to be a man of his word, then I have to be a man of my word. So, he f–ed up. He missed out on another big payday because of his ego.”

A month later, Woodley is now flashing the infamous middle finger and his new ink, showing us just how far he is willing to go, in order to prove that their first fight was a fluke.

After Woodley’s IG post, the YouTube star followed up with his reaction to the tattoo on an Instagram story, saying:

“(1.) Tyron got the wire from the fight. (2.) Tyron bought a used Bentley. (3.) Tyron got on a call with his accountant. (4.) His accountant told him how much he had to pay in taxes. (5.) Tyron got the tattoo.”

Now we will have to see if Paul is a man of his word, as well.

Check out Paul’s response below.

India Royale Defends Her Relationship After Fan Calls Her Lil Durk’s “Baby Momma”

The strength of Lil Durk and India Royale’s relationship has been flaunted heavily, by way of their frequent public devotion to one another. On Sunday, after Royale shared a status update on their relationship (“Happy wife, happy life,” she tweeted), a fan flocked to her replies to deliver a slight sub. “Suh you a baby momma,” the fan tweeted. It wasn’t long before Royale fired back, defending her and Durk’s relationship and making it known that the two are married

“Loud & Wrong!” Royale responded. “We’re very much married est. November 2020.”

This isn’t the first time Durk or Royale have had to defend their relationship on social media. This past Mother’s Day, Royale deactivated her Twitter after fighting trolls’ attempts to discredit their bond. “I’m the BM, the mother, the obsession, lover, friend, authorized user on bank cards, and beneficiary. Talk to me nice b*tches,” she tweeted out back in May.
